After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be zapped. No one would back up the rec. - Synopsis: The legend of Spyro the Dragon is a long and complicated one, told and untold as the lore passed from game company to game company. Today, the pieces are being put together to create the true telling of the hero of the Dragon Realms.
- Comments: Damn, this fic is good, expanding on the first three original games and adding a heaping helping of character development, humor and action. Has a Dead sequel, Lore, which was supposed to adapt Enter the Dragonfly (which it is in), and eventually A Hero's Tail and the forgotten DS game Shadow Legacy.

- Synopsis: It's the same every time. Coming into this void as he waits to enter his new life, slowly changing into something he never wants to be; having the chance for another start when he just wants to keep his old one; receiving all of his memories, only to have them ripped away from him again. Written for Spyro's fourteenth birthday.
- Comments: A rather depressing take on what it must be like for characters going through Continuity Reboots. Though there's no bashing of any of the Spyro continuities, I will say this... You'll never be able to look at the alternate continuities of the franchise, or any Continuity Reboot in general, the same way ever again...
Spyro: Bane of the Dragons by thebandragoness

- Synopsis: When a mysterious and powerful new villain emerges who is determined to prevent the unification of the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Forgotten Worlds, Spyro must travel to an unknown land where he will be forced to ask himself a troubling question - What if the dragons have been the bad guys all along?
- Comments: Basically, Spyro, Sparx, Hunter and Bianca have to go on a new adventure in the style of the original trilogy. Much like the author's Crash Bandicoot fic, Days Of Future Crash, this fic loves self-referential humour that pokes fun at the various absurd aspects of the series.

- Synopsis: Throughout the realms, love is in the air, whether the couples are aware of it or not.
- Pairings: Hunter/Bianca and Spyro/Elora.
- Comments: A two-shot collection focusing on Hunter and Bianca's relationship during the later half of Year of the Dragon and Spyro and Elora's relationship during the ending of said game. Based off the Reignited Trilogy designs, voices and personalities.
Crossover Fics

- Cross-over with: The Legend of Spyro
- Status: Active
- Synopsis: After defeating Malefor, Spyro puts the world back together, with Cynder by his side - and they vanish from the world. They do, however, find their way to somewhere else with dragons. Spyro and Cynder end up in the original Spyro the Dragon series.
- Comments: Despite this only recently coming out at the time of this trooper's recommendation, the author is well known for his prior fics, Harry Is a Dragon, and That's OK and Ashes of the Past. And just from the starting chapter alone, the premise is laid out nice and clear - Spyro and Cynder (and not Sparx, due to him being told to get everyone else to safety, and thus not being there with them) are sent to the Dragon Realms from the original game. Aether help Gnasty should he try and unleash his plan once more... Oh, and the duo are not alone, as they have Ember and Flame, two dragons about their own age, plus a dragonfly they share known as Flicker. Given how well Saph has been with his other works, this trooper already knows that this story should be just as good as Ashes and Harry is a Dragon.
