For people who do like that pairing, you'll still be able to enjoy a tale of losing someone you love to another because you were paralyzed by indecision. Well-paced, heartbreaking, and in beautiful prose, this story deserves a read.

- Now has a sequel called Earth And Sky, set a further 3 years down the timeline. Pinkie has a pegasus filly with another on the way, but the stress of keeping even one flying foal safe is taking its toll on her. Twilight, however, thinks she can engineer a solution, and enlists Rarity, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom to help bring her designs to fruition.

- Along with The Vinyl Scratch Tapes, this massive fic is the biggest thing written about Vinyl and Octavia, both in terms of size and popularity. Having multiple pieces of fan-art and fan-music dedicated to it, it's one of the brony community's finer achievements. If you're going to read anything from this list, read this one.
- I really love this fic, but if you're like me and just finished The Vinyl Scratch Tapes then prepare to be surprised. Their personalities are a little different here, but overall the story works great. Oh, and the versions of Lyra and Bon Bon here are really, really weird compared to how I usually see them. Not bad, but very different. -Har D Har Koopa

- We are happy to find out that this being a Dead Fic is no longer the case, as we previously thought. An update was made on December 10, 2012. No explanation about the gap, save that it was a combination of matters personal and story related. Still, nice to know that it isn't abandoned.
- Yet. It's been another three months since the last update. Again, no word on it, no change in story status, not even a blog update from the author.

One not-date later, they each develop feelings for each other (then a part of Spike's past comes haunting him).

- Synopsis: "Prince Blueblood is caught between two fractured lives, the home life that formed him into the insufferable snob he is today, and the unrequited love of his heart whom he drove away."
- Comments: Basically, the story poses the idea that Blueblood is a jerk because this was his mother's idea of how a royal should act, and even though it's completely contrary to his actual personality and he hates it, he carries on because his (now dead) mother would have expected it. Shining Armor is his childhood friend/sweetheart whom he drove away with his snobbishness, and when Shining returns to Canterlot with Princess Cadance (as her personal bodyguard, not her husband) Blueblood takes the opportunity to try and mend some fences. It's also shown that while Blueblood's snobbishness may not have endeared him to Shining Armor, neither is Shining Armor entirely free from blame, as he kept expecting Blueblood to choose between being with him and being with his family without taking Blueblood's feelings into consideration.

\\He does cause a lot of chaos though, to the faithful student of Celestia, as she had eagerly took over the task of watching over Discord as well by giving him place under her own roof, hoping to learn more about the Draconequus' species, his powers and his motives, but surprisingly learning much more about himself as a person. Which puts her in many awkward, embarrasing and pretty hilarious situations most of the time.

There is a lot of interesting character interaction throughout and some good characterization, such as the innocence of Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. The author herself is very friendly and interacts with her audience by responding to reviews and is very kind in doing so.
