- Synopsis: Everyone in the Gang is mentally ill. Together they navigate it as well as they can. Or, as the creator summarize: Dennis is mentally ill and also everyone else and the Gang is too
- Pairing: Dennis/Mac
- Comments: A well-written character study of Dennis, Mac and Dee. A lot of these entries are canon episodes, situation and backstory Played for Drama. The author's writing is so well that you managed to feel sorry for Dennis, just a little. Have to say, despite the main ship being Mac/Dennis, the true star of this series is the mess up relationship between Dee and Dennis.

The Gang Storms the Capitol by Joe Adams

- Synopsis: While going stir-crazy from the COVID-19 lockdown, the gang is finally driven to rise up against the government.
- Comments: One of the absolute crown jewels of the slew of current event fanfics written during the pandemic, with everyone completely in character and the show's distinctly twisted sense of humor fitting perfectly into the absurdity of the Capitol attack.
Dennis and Dee Go All the Way by stoney321 (Archive of our Own mirror)

- Synopsis: Mac and Charlie try to convince Dennis and Dee to have sex with each other for ten thousand dollars, while Frank decides to film and sell it as a prison porno.
- Comments: It's so well written it could easily be an episode of the show. Takes place between season 4 and 5.

- Synopsis: After Mac Day, a drunken Dennis confronts his best friend with regards to the latter's very obvious crush.
- Comments: An excellent bit of writing that takes a look at the messed-up relationship between Mac and Dennis. It's got angst, humor and violence, and it's very, very in-character (Mac's ridiculous thought processes are spot-on). Also features a cameo by Rickety Cricket. Set post-"Mac Day".

- Synopsis: Charlie receives more intelligence pills from the Scientist, who wants nothing in return. (Or does he?)
- Pairing: Charlie / Scientist
- Comments: Took place after "Flowers For Charlie" and part of the The Adventures of Charlie and Scientist series. An excellent Lighter and Softer fic about Charlie's effort to better himself through taking another "intelligent pill" and actually spending time with the titular Scientist instead of the Gang. While this fic is platonic with a dose of Ho Yay and UST, the later fics in the series explore Charlie and the Scientist navigate their romance through Charlie's mess up life and the Scientist's emotional insecurity. What stands out about this fic is that the Scientist avoids being a
Relationship Sue and Fixer Sue for Charlie: Charlie is the one that instigates the relationship and actively wants to better himself instead of the other way around and this process is realistic, funny and heartwarming. The Scientist doesn't magically solves all of Charlie's problem and even is a well-rounded character in his own.

- Pairing: Charlie/Dee
- Comments: Set between season 10 and season 12. Explores Dee and Charlie and the potential of the two of them as a couple, and explores what that might mean for the two of them. It really delves into both Dee and Charlie's unpleasant traits, exploring it, as well as the more unhealthy dynamics of the Gang, while still leading to a happy ending.
