Told only through the scribblings everyone writes on it, the board is controlled by the mysterious "Boardmaster" who apparently has the ability to hit people with asterisks.

- Air-Vent Passageway: Chloe and Rush both make use of a variant of this, Chloe turns it into a prison for Eli and Rush turns it into a nest.
- Brick Joke: In one chapter, an anonymous commenter starts to write "I see you tremble with antici—" and Greer cuts them off with a "NO". Several chapters later, "...Pation" turns up on the board.
