Roland was not expecting to be suddenly, and seemingly inexplicably, sent across dimensions. The last thing he remembers before he arrived was falling asleep and agonizing over going to school the next day. Now, he finds himself right in the middle of the story of High School Dx D with nothing but the tatters of what he wore to bed that night and an extensive knowledge of canon events. Or is that really all he has?
Finding out that he's armed with a very familiar Sacred Gear, Roland prepares for what lies ahead.

- Curb-Stomp Battle: Roland's fight with Freed, after Roland unlocks Nightmare Masque fully. Happens again in the Rating Game with Raiser, when Raiser destroys everyone except Roland, Asia, and Rias.
- Deadpan Snarker: Phobetor. Nearly every sentence from him is a snark in some way. Roland has his moments, too.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Roland and Phobetor seem to have this. Despite his attitude, Phobetor does seem to care about Roland, and vice versa.
