Muffet The Mom
is an Undertale fanfiction by FreightTrainFrank on Archive Of Our Own. It is set in an AU of sorts where Frisk lives with Muffet, who acts as a mother to them. The fic consists of a series of light-hearted one shots of the two interacting.
Tropes:
- Ash Face: When Frisk accidentally lights a pile of Muffet's bombs in the cellar.
- Big Fancy House: The house Frisk and Muffet live in. It's sometimes destroyed, though Muffet enjoys rebuilding it.
- Cigar Chomper: Muffet is rarely seen without a big, tremendously fat purple cigar in her mouth. It's made of spiders and webbing.
- Cigar-Fuse Lighting: Muffet often puts her tremendous stogie to good use by lighting fuses, candles, and other flammable things with it.
- Couldn't Find a Lighter: Muffet often lights her cigar off of any source of fire that happens to be nearby.
- Good Smoking, Evil Smoking: Muffet's an example of good smoking, being a loving if often irresponsible mother, and she smokes so often that the smell of cigar smoke is the first sign she's nearby.
- Human Cannonball: Muffet owns a cannon which she sometimes fires Frisk out of to celebrate.
- Slapstick: Muffet occasionally gets hit with slapstick, though she always laughs it off.
- Swallowed Whole:
- Muffet accidentally does this to her blind date. She's rather casual about the whole thing, and eventually spits them out.
- Frisk gets accidentally swallowed by Muffet in the sixth chapter. It's implied this happens a lot.
- A Twinkle in the Sky: A running gag to Frisk and Muffet alike.
- Happens to Muffet in the sixth chapter courtesy of Frisk and a see-saw.
- Happens to Frisk in the eighth chapter after being fired from Muffet's cannon.
- Happens to both of them in the thirteenth chapter when Muffet's oven explodes
