Like Pinning Butterflies is a horror-themed South Park fanfiction by ienvy, written between 2009 and 2011. It centers around Craig Tucker and his disturbing love for Tweek Tweak. The author's warning: "This story is NOT for those who are easily disturbed or upset. This story is intended to be very morbid and macabre and will contain subjects that most of the population find upsetting. In case you're wondering, these subjects will be along the lines of: stalking, torture, morbid/macabre love, death, suicide, rape and so on, so forth."

This series provides examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Craig's parents are implied to be physically and verbally abusive.
- Adults Are Useless: Craig's therapist is unable to see his true nature, and the police department choose not to investigate Cartman's death or Craig and Tweek disappearing.
- Ax-Crazy: Craig, particularly when he chases Tweek and Kenny with a knife.
- Being Tortured Makes You Evil: Craig does this to Tweek, albeit unintentionally. It's also implied this happened to Craig.
- Blood from the Mouth: Kenny and Stan both go through this before dying.
- Cardiovascular Love: After becoming as dead inside as Craig and before giving himself to the asylum, Tweek goes to confess his love for Craig and give him a present: Kenny's heart.
- Downer Ending: At the end of the story, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Tweek's parents are all dead, Craig's locked in an asylum, and Tweek's just as dead inside as Craig is.
- Empty Eyes: Craig displays them whenever his mask slips. They're also his first clue that Tweek's gone over the edge of sanity.
- Glasgow Grin: Kenny accidentally carves a half-smile into Craig's mouth while beating him up.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Tweek, Kenny, and Butters (though the latter only has a very minor cameo). Tweek's heart doesn't stay gold.
- If I Can't Have You…: Craig is quick to deal with (read: murder) anyone who gets too close to Tweek.
- Love Makes You Crazy: Craig believes this is happening to him, and that he'll be normal again if he kills Tweek.
- Mask of Sanity: Craig hides his emotionlessness so well that even his therapist doesn't pick up on it.
- A Match Made in Stockholm: Tweek eventually falls in love with Craig... after Craig kidnaps him twice, breaks several of his bones, rapes him at least three times and nearly drowns him.
- Morton's Fork: Craig mildly tortures Tweek's parents and asks them if they want their son back. To avoid more torture, they comply with Craig keeping Tweek. Unfortunately, having them around means Tweek has other people in mind, not to mention they've proven to be awful parents, so Craig still burns them alive.
- Murder Is the Best Solution: Craig believes that killing Tweek is the only way to bring himself back to sanity.
- Murder the Hypotenuse: Craig loves Tweek, but Tweek and Kenny are dating.Craig (in his thoughts): How wonderful it will be once Kenny is dead.
- Precision F-Strike: "Can't you fucking see it?"
- Rape Discretion Shot: Craig assaults Tweek several times, but it's rarely explicitly shown or described, mostly due to Tweek blanking out and forgetting it.
- Sickening "Crunch!": Happens twice, both times when Craig breaks one of Tweek's bones.
- Song Fic: Based on "The Horror of our Love" by Ludo.
- Start of Darkness: For Tweek, when Craig breaks him. For Craig, he didn't turn completely to darkness until Tweek started ignoring him.
- Super-Strength: Craig can snap Tweek's bones with his bare hands.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Kenny is killed three times, twice by Craig and once by Tweek.
- Trauma-Induced Amnesia: Tweek has no memory of Craig sexually assaulting him, despite it happening more than once.
