I Won't Leave You is a horror Pokémon fan fiction written between Flaky Porcupine and Tyrin 7 for the SomeOrdinaryGamers Wiki in 2013 (and later read by the channel itself). The story follows an Author Avatar of Tyrin (as a Sylveon) meeting and cheering up Lon(e)liness, the eponymous Eevee of the Abandon Lonliness ROM Hack Creepypasta. Predicatively, it doesn't end well for either of them.

A sequel by the name of And Hell Will Follow Me was set to be completed in four chapters note  later that year, but an unfortunate case of Development Hell struck the story as it has still yet to be completed, with Tyrin announcing his leave from the production between then. In late 2016, the remaining author said that he wishes to have it complete by 2017.

The original story, among other places, can be read here. What is written of And Hell Will Follow Me can be viewed here.

I Won't Leave You provides examples of:

  • Author Avatar: Tyrin is one to his creator, who is said to have a very similar personality to. Contrasted with Lonliness, who was not intended to be an avatar of Flaky.
  • Ax-Crazy: Tyrin in And Hell Will Follow Me, with a few minutes of lucidity.
  • The Blank: What Tyrin sees Lonliness as in Saw You Drown.
  • Came Back Wrong: Averted, if anything Lonliness seems to be in higher spirits. Tyrin is the one who ends up being punished for his self-sacrifice to have the eevee come back.
  • Camp Gay: I Won't Leave You has Tyrin mostly be this, but And Hell Will Follow Me largely averts it to the point where he can be seen as a Straight Gay.
  • Characterization Marches On: Tyrin in the sequel, which removes his campiness and his few usages of profanity after the criticisms of a few users.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: What Tyrin does to the unnamed zigzagoon in Every Rose Has Its Thorn.
  • Creepypasta: Aside from Lonliness originating from one, I Won't Leave You had been accepted and read by a few creepypasta sites and dramatic readers, including the Creepypasta Wiki itself. Although it is debated whether it can honestly be considered one or not.
  • Darker and Edgier: And Hell Will Follow Me is this compared to the original, with more violence and a heavier tone.
  • Death is Cheap: Lonliness being brought back easily can almost be seen as this, though Word of God said that it was very hard to continue with a story people demanded that had a definitive ending which included the death of one of two main characters.
  • Development Hell: It's 2018 and we STILL haven't seen those supposed "new chapters".
  • Driven to Suicide: What Tyrin sees Lonliness do in a vision/dream in Saw You Drown, which is what makes him vow for nothing to ever hurt Lonliness. Word of God says that Lonliness was contemplating it in the beginning of the original story, but was interrupted by Tyrin before he could do anything.
  • Downer Ending: I Won't Leave You ends with Lonliness' death and Tyrin mourning over him. Word of God says that And Hell Will Follow Me will lean more towards having a Bittersweet Ending.
  • The Eeyore: Lonliness fits this trope to a T. Outside of the moments where he is genuinely pleased, everything that comes out of his mouth is pessimistic and full of self-loathing.
  • Eye Scream: In the original story, Lonliness' eye is removed from his socket by the forces that be.
  • Horror Hunger: Tyrin gets quite the appetite in And Hell Will Follow Me, but the horror isn't so much that he is hungry, and more that he enjoys the thrill of torturing his prey than just killing them.
  • Literary Allusion Title: The name of the sequel comes from a quote from the Book of Revelations about the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
  • Morality Pet: Lonliness becomes this for Tyrin in And Hell Will Follow Me, although Tyrin's internal monologue reveals that he isn't exactly pleased about it himself.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: In a small window of lucidity, Tyrin realizes what he did to the zigzagoon in Every Rose Has Its Thorn and is rightfully horrified at it.
  • Named by the Adaptation: While the stories don't refer to him by his actual name (so far), Flaky has revealed that Lonliness' real name is Jude. In the creepypasta he was originally from, he was never given any name beyond Loneliness.
  • The Nothing After Death: Due to the curse having his soul Barred from the Afterlife, Lonliness had to spend a year after his death, alone except for the ghosts.
  • Off with His Head!: How Lonliness dies in I Won't Leave You, but since his corpse is whole after the fact, it raises a few questions.
  • Protagonist Journey to Villain: Tyrin is hit with this trope in the sequel.
  • Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism: Leans heavily on the cynical side, but is not shy from using idealistic tropes either.
  • Speech Impediment: Lonliness has a noticeable stutter, usually when he is anxious.
  • Tears of Blood: A sign that Lonliness is not just an emotionally scarred eevee, although Tyrin does his best in ignoring it regardless.
  • Title Drop: From chapter two of And Hell Will Follow Me:
Tyrin: I will create the perfect world for us, I promise, and Hell will follow me.
  • Tsundere: Lonliness, at first, before he warms up to Tyrin with the latter's infectious idealism.
  • Walking Spoiler: Both main characters provoke this in the sequel, with Lonliness being brought back and Tyrin being corrupted/going insane.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Tyrin only wants what is best for Lonliness after they meet. In And Hell Will Follow Me, this means killing anything that isn't Lonliness.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Tyrin in the original story, although this changes considering what happened to him in the sequel. Funnily enough, Lonliness plays with it instead.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Part of Tyrin's deal is that he is unleashing his inner cynicism and lashing out at the world for what it did to him.
  • Younger Than They Look: Lonliness both looks and acts like a young child, but Word of God says that he is around his early teens, but his descent into self-loathing and his curse weighing down on him leaves him mentally unjust.
