Persona: Renaissance is an upcoming Persona Flash Forward Fic written by eiranerys
/xiaolianfa. The story features the children of SEES and the Investigation Team and takes place over thirty years after the events of Persona 3. The protagonist is Satomi Kirijo, the only daughter of Mitsuru. Satomi has been studying abroad in the United States for the past three years but has returned to Tatsumi Port Island to learn more about running the Kirijo Group from her mother while attending Iwatodai University. However, upon her return, she soon starts dreaming about a mysterious blue room.
Renaissance takes place in a universe that assumes the Persona 3 protagonists are twin siblings, Minato and Minako Arisato, with the former becoming the Great Seal.
The main cast consists of children of the characters from Persona 3 and 4. Aside from Satomi, there is Hinata Arisato (Minato and Yukari's daughter), Tatsuo Amamiya (Ren and Anne's son), Ruri Aragaki (Shinjiro and Fuuka's daughter), Yukio Sanada (Akihiko and Minako's son), Kazuo Iori (Junpei and Chidori's son), Mikoto Shirogane (Naoto and Kanji's daughter), Reika Hanamura (Yosuke and Chie's daughter), Touya Amagi (Yukiko's son), and Hiroki "Hiro" Narukami (Yu and Rise's son).
Supporting characters are the former members of SEES, the Investigation Team, and the Phantom Thieves, as well as the main characters' various siblings.
The original version of the story was deleted, with the author stating her intent to rewrite the story before republishing.
Persona: Renaissance contains examples of:
- Childhood Friends: All the main characters are this since their parents have stayed on Port Island or Inaba for the most part after starting their families.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Yukio/Satomi and Hiro/Mikoto.
- Color-Coded Characters: Each of the main characters has a specific color scheme:
- Satomi: Red
- Hinata: Blue
- Tatsuo: Black
- Ruri: Turquoise
- Yukio: Green
- Kazuo: Orange
- Mikoto: Purple
- Reika: Pink
- Touya: Grey
- Hiro: Gold/Yellow
- Disappeared Dad: Minato, for obvious reasons.
- Satomi's father is also unknown; though, unlike Hinata, she doesn't lament over how she doesn't know him.
- Doomed Hometown: Port Island seems to be getting this, especially with the Shadow Nest trying to replace the real world.
- Elemental Powers: Apart from Touya, every member of SPIES uses a specific element (or two in Tatsuo, Yukio, and Hiro's cases):
- Satomi's signature Persona uses psychokinesis magic.
- Hinata uses ice magic.
- Tatsuo uses curse and fire magic, though the former is stronger than the latter.
- Ruri uses nuclear magic.
- Yukio uses wind and light magic.
- Kazuo uses electricity magic.
- Mikoto uses darkness magic.
- Reika uses fire magic.
- Hiro uses bless and almighty magic.
- Everyone Can See It: Yukio/Satomi and Hiro/Mikoto get hit with this especially hard.
- In the latter's case, it doesn't help that Mikoto gets tongue-tied with Hiro a lot at first.
- Happily Adopted: Raiden, Satomi's adopted younger brother.
- Henpecked Husband: Kanji and Junpei are mild examples.
- High-School Sweethearts: Yu/Rise, Akihiko/Minako, and Shinjiro/Fuuka all fit this. Yosuke and Chie have known each other since high school, but they don't start dating until after university.
- Minato and Yukari probably would have been the same had Minato not died, seeing that he had given her a promise ring shortly before the fight with Nyx.
- In-Series Nickname:
- Hinata's friends and family call her Hina, a nickname that her aunt Minako coined for her at a young age.
- Tatsuo's family calls him Tatsu, coined by his adopted older sister, Akari.
- Reika gets called Rei by all her childhood friends.
- In the Blood: Averted. The various Fools' children are considered quite powerful, but none possess the Wild Card.
- Like Brother and Sister: Reika and Touya are especially this since they are closest to each other. However, Reika has more interest in girls.
- The Quiet One: Ruri is this, though she can talk a lot when she feels like this.
- Someone to Remember Him By: Hinata is this to Yukari.
- Truly Single Parent: Mitsuru has no interest in marriage, but that didn't stop her from going through in-vitro fertilization to conceive Satomi.
