Drinking Game: Mass Effect

Mass Effect 1:

  • Take a sip every time Shepard says "I should go," "we'll talk later," or "that's all for now."
  • Take a sip every time you find an item that is part of a collection sidequest.
  • Take a sip on every successful hack attempt. Two if it fails.
    • Take a shot if you lack the technical skills to even try to hack it.
    • Take an extra sip if you fail because you're too drunk to complete the minigame in time. Then ponder the downward spiral you have created.
  • Take a shot every time you kill a thresher maw. Finish your drink if you do it on foot.
  • Take a shot every time you lack the paragon or renegade points to charm or intimidate someone.
  • Take a shot every time you are forced to convert a load of equipment to omnigel in the field to free up space.
  • Finish your drink upon the completion of every planet's major story missions (Eden Prime, The Citadel, Therum, Feros, Noveria, Virmire, Ilos). For your own safety, maybe limit yourself to one drink per planet.
  • Take a sip every time Shepard does something Bad Ass. Suggested drinks include full strength beer or low alcohol mixers.

Mass Effect 2:

  • Take a sip every time Shepard says "I should go," "we'll talk later," or "that's all for now."
  • Take a sip every time someone says Cerberus.
  • Take a sip every time Harbinger possesses a nearly-dead Collector. Take another once you kill him... And / or if his mook takeover involves him saying ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.
  • Take a shot every time you use an interrupt.
  • Take a shot every time someone judges or refuses assistance to Shepard because of their association with Cerberus.
  • Take a shot every time you pick up or build a new weapon.
  • Finish your drink every time you finish a mission against the Collectors.
  • Take a sip every time Shepard does something Bad Ass. Suggested drinks are low strength beer.

Mass Effect 3:

  • Take a sip every time Shepard says "I should go," "we'll talk later," or "that's all for now." The Citadel DLC may be tough on you.
  • Take a sip every time you gain access to a new weapon or piece of equipment.
  • Take a sip every time you upgrade or modify a weapon.
  • Take a sip every time you get a new mission from eavesdropping on people's conversations on the Citadel.
  • Take a shot every time you have to buy something from the Spectre Requisitions Terminal because you missed it on the mission. Pace yourselves.
  • Take a shot every time you use an interrupt.
  • Finish your drink any time a past squadmate or other major character dies.
    • Chase it with a shot if it's your fault.
  • Take a sip every time Shepard does something Bad Ass. Suggested drinks include the soft drink or cordial or your choice.
  • Take a sip every time someone references something badass Shepard did in a past game. Call the ambos in advance.
