Drinking Game: Adventure Time
Drinking Game for Adventure Time

Game was meant to be played with low-alcohol content drink such as beer. Adjust if you enjoy a stronger spirit. If you do adjust the rules, down a shot prior to the game for good measure. Seeing as this is a children's show, kids can play Strongest Bladder and use water instead.

HARDCORE MODE: A minute before the show starts, consume any amount of LSD. Write down your experiences For Science!

General

  • Take a drink every time a princess appears.
  • Take a drink if the episode involves a kingdom.
  • Take a drink every time someone says, "Oh my Glob!"
  • Take a drink for every time a villain appears.
    • Finish your current glass and down a second drink if the villain is not defeated, i.e. killed when they should have been.
  • Take a drink if the Great Mushroom War is mentioned.
  • Take a drink if a made-up word is said.
    • Take two drinks if someone other than Finn said it, and be especially careful when watching "Grayble" episodes.
  • Take a drink if you see the snail.
    • Take two if it's a close-up shot.
    • Finish your glass if, by the end of the episode, you didn't.
    • Finish your glass when the snail is in "Mortal Folly", "Mortal Recall", "In Your Footsteps", or "The Lich".
  • Take a drink if an animal talks.
  • Take a drink every time someone blushes.
    • Take two if it's either Finn or Marceline.
    • Take another if the person is blushing out of guilt.
  • Take a drink if someone is Genre Savvy.
    • Finish your glass if they specifically mention a Trope.
  • Take a sip for every Getting Crap Past the Radar moment.

    • Take additional drinks for every subsequent song in the episode (second song = 2 drinks, third song = 3 drinks).
      • Down a glass if the song was auto-tuned.
  • Take a drink if a celebrity has a cameo
    • Take two drinks if Wikipedia says their most famous role occurred before 1990.
    • Take two drinks if you correctly guess the celebrity without having known before watching.
  • Take a drink for every dilation of the pupils.
  • Take a drink if somebody speaks a language other than English.
    • Take a sip if it's Lady Rainicorn (that is, however, a sip per line).
  • Take a drink if you see the Enchiridion.
    • Take two if Finn uses it to try hit something.
  • Take a drink if someone tries to eat a Candy Person and/or eats a piece of Candy Kingdom infrastructure.
    • Take two if it's Princess Bubblegum doing the eating.
    • Down a glass if it's a named character other than Peppermint Butler being eaten.
  • Take a drink every time someone farts.

Finn

  • Take a drink if Finn wields a sword.
    • Take two if you don't remember seeing the sword before.
  • Take two drinks if he's wearing a different outfit.
  • Take a drink if Finn exhibits stupidity.
    • Down your glass if he exhibits intelligence instead.
  • Take a drink if he gives a battle cry.
  • Take a drink if he screams.
  • Take a drink when he fixes a problem.
  • Take a drink when he has an artificial right arm.
  • Take a drink if he has love issues.
    • Down a glass if he breaks down and starts crying because of it.
    • Down a glass if he gets a hug.
    • Down two glasses if he gets a kiss.
    • Drink until you start slurring your speech if he manages to land a steady girlfriend.
  • Take a drink if he yells Adventure Time!
  • Take a drink if he takes off his hat.
  • Take a drink if his voice cracks.
    • Take two if it occurs during a scream or battlecry (as opposed to mid-sentence).

    • Finish a glass if the stretch is begin forced.
  • Take a drink every time he does something immoral.
  • Take a drink if he's eating something.
  • Take a drink if he's seen with Lady Rainicorn.
    • Take two drinks if the encounter has romantic overtones.
  • Take a drink if Jake starts playing an instrument.
    • Take two if it's not his viola.
      • Finish a glass if Shelby is mentioned or seen.
  • Take a drink each time Jake's voice changes. Two if it goes lower. Three if it goes higher.
  • Take a drink every time Jake acts like an unmutated, non-magical, dog. (Except in "Finn the Human" or in "Jake the Dog".

Princess Bubblegum

  • Take a drink if she does or says something scientific.
    • Take two drinks if the science causes an additional problem.
      • Finish the glass if the science actually stops the problem.
  • Take a drink if she addresses the Candy Kingdom.
  • Take a drink if she's wearing a different outfit than her pink dress
    • Take two if it's a lab coat.
  • Take a drink if she experiences Sanity Slippage.
    • Finish the glass if it sounds like a classic bout of Mad Scientist amorality ( la Prof. Farnsworth or Dr Praetorius).
  • Take a drink if she yells at someone
    • Take two drinks if that person is Finn.
  • Take a drink if she is seen on the throne.
  • Take a drink if she has her life threatened.
  • Take a drink if she gives Finn mixed signals.

Ice King

  • Take a drink if he says, "Gunter!"
  • Take drink if he captures a princess, one for each princess
    • Take two drinks if the princess he captures is Princess Bubblegum.
  • Take two drinks if you see his loincloth.
  • Take a drink if he casts a spell.
  • Take a drink if his crown gets knocked off.
  • Take a drink if he is being nice.
    • Take two if he's being nice to Finn and Jake.
      • Take a sip if the episode is "Nice King".
  • Take a drink if he plays the drums.
  • Take two drinks if he starts crying.
    • Finish two glasses if Simon Petrikov is mentioned. You're going to need those drinks.
      • Take a drink on the rocks if he says something funny that suddenly becomes incredibly depressing when you take his backstory into account. Again, you're going to need it.

Lumpy Space Princess

  • Take a drink if she says "Whatever."
  • Take a drink if she says "Glob" or "Lumping".
  • Take a drink if her arms are akimbo.
  • Take a drink if Lumpy Space is shown or mentioned.
  • Take a drink if she wants to be more beautiful.
    • Take two drinks if she changes her appearance in the episode.
  • Take two drinks if she gives specific names to animals.
    • Take three drinks if she does this more than twice.
  • Take a drink if she mentions love.
    • Take two if she's the one in love.
  • Take a drink if the episode has her living in the woods.
  • Take a drink if she's being melodramatic.
  • Take a drink if she mentions Brad or Melissa.
  • Take a drink if she mentions partying.

    • Take two if the transformation causes her to grow.
  • Take a drink if she drinks the red out of something.

Broadcast Airings Only

  • Take a drink if Finn's voice is noticeably older/younger sounding in episodes played consecutively.
  • If you're watching Cartoon Network Australia, take a drink whenever you notice that something has (obviously) been censored out.
    • Down a glass if, according to the fandom wiki, the episode wasn't censored at all.
  • Take a drink if there's an ad for another episode of AT in a different timeslot (the second half-hour of an hour block doesn't count).
    • Take two each time if it repeats more than once per half-hour.
  • Get up and go to the bathroom if Cartoon Network plays an ad for Incredible Crew.
