While he may be a GuiltyPleasure, depending on who you ask, Chris Bores is a notorious sort, as he isn't known for doing his research. But for some, it goes simply beyond that. Here are a few examples of [[DarthWiki/DethroningMomentOfSuck such moments]]:

Keep in mind:
* Sign your entries
* One moment per work to a troper, if multiple entries are signed to the same troper the more recent one will be cut.
* Moments only, no "just everything he said," or "This entire work," entries.
* No contesting entries. This is subjective, the entry is their opinion.
* No natter. As above, anything contesting an entry will be cut, and anything that's just contributing more can be made its own entry.
* Explain ''why'' it's a DarthWiki/DethroningMomentOfSuck.
* No ASSCAPS, no bold, and no italics unless it's the title of a work. We are not yelling the [=DMoSs=] out loud.
----
* {{Tropers/GojiBiscuits}}: Bores rants and insults SuperMarioBros2 for the speed at which hearts and stars rise up towards the top of the screen, even though all any normal player would need to do is jump down and grab the power-up, then simply jump back up to where they were.
* Tropers/FoxTrax: There was a multi-parter in which he reviews VideoGame/BrutalLegend... after only playing an hour of it.
* Tropers/{{Cliche}}: The Irate Gamer's ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros2'' review. He was obviously using cut and paste editing to claim he could take a dump in the time the Star would touch the character, not to mention positioning it in the area where it would naturally take the most time to get.
** Tropes/{{Midna}}: Tampering with the footage at all is a major no-no in any game review, even in a supposedly comedic one, and is only really acceptable when done as a joke. But what sells it for me is that when the part where he gripes about the star comes up, he parks his character in an area with an animated object nearby. Which visibly slows down when he messes with the video. It's almost like he wanted people to notice he was lying.
* Tropers/{{terlwyth}}: His review of The Odyssey, which was laden with plenty of errors. But the worst was his "joke" about the Simon Says game for it where he adds flash cards referencing probably the only date he'll ever get after this, [[ADateWithRosiePalms one with rosie palms]] and other kind of junk like that.
* Tropers/{{Renelia}}: WebVideo/TheIrateGamer's review on ''{{VideoGame/Contra}}''. His tirade about instruction manuals, saying "I can’t waste my time reading about a game, I just gotta play it!" pretty much solidifies himself as a non-gamer. Despite he's "claimed" he's played games for about [[BlatantLies 20 years]], he acts completely surprised when he finds the third stage boss is indeed, an alien. He could have avoided it by just [[ReadTheFreakingManual reading the manual]].
** Tropers/SpongePore: I get the feeling the whole instruction manual "joke" is based on his interpretation of gamers. It's like he's saying "Man, who reads the instruction manual? Nobody cares about those, am I right guys???" Um, no. In fact, one of my fondest childhood memories is sitting up at night reading various instruction manuals, and a lot of gamers share that memory. It just further proves he's not a real gamer and assumes what gamers are like.
** sebek: My favourite moment is when he complains about the laser upgrade: "This laser gun will only travel a few inches from your player [sic], if you keep pressing the fire button way too fast. [...] Avoid it like the fucking plague, because if you touch it you're as good as dead!" Really? "If you keep using it wrong, it will be useless"? Maybe... stop hammering the fire button? He then immediately goes on to complain that all guns except the machine gun require you to keep tapping the fire button in order to keep shooting. The laser is another one of those weapons you don't need to constantly keep firing! Think, aim and shoot! Not that any of this actually matters, since he's just holding down the turbo button anyway.
* Tropers/{{Dynaboyj}}: Another Irate Gamer moment. His Aladdin review is generally considered one of his worst, but the real DMOS is the joke "Someone call 911, because I was [[IncrediblyLamePun ROBbed]]" while holding up [[UsefulNotes/NintendoEntertainmentSystem R.O.B.]] It's completely out of context to the review.
* legoking831: His usual E3 footage amounts to the same questions and everything that you could easily find elsewhere, but there was one real moment in his 2011 E3 coverage that stuck out compared to all else. He was mad about being unable to get into the [=UbiSoft=] press conference. So how does he react to this? [[DisproportionateRetribution He pretends to blow up the [=UbiSoft=] office.]] Just because he was one of many who couldn't get in. [[DudeNotFunny And he thought this was funny too.]]
** [=SunriseWarrior=]: What I love about that video is how pompous he makes himself look. The way he proclaims "You cannot do this to the Irate Gamer!" makes it sound like he considers himself so much more important and special than all the other people who couldn't get in.
* Tropers/TommyX: His review of ''VideoGame/SonicUnleashed''. He played the first two Sonic levels and said they were good. Then said the Adventure Fields, Werehog and plane levels suck and don't belong in a Sonic game, saying stuff like "Since when has Sonic been this?" YMMV on the Werehog, but Adventure fields were in the fanbases previous Sonic Adventure, and Sonic has been riding on Tails' plane since Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and there are only two of these levels in the whole game. If you're going to criticise a main part of the game, play more than the first level and do basic research.
** Bengson26: Also, note on how this review has a three month gap between his previous review (the already-mentioned Aladdin review). So, he had maybe about a month or two, give or take, to play the game but all he completed is the first portion of the game. Talk about not caring.
* Fofa: His review of ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaHarmonyOfDespair'' bothered me for several reasons: One, he seemed to have no clue how to really play the game (as usual), he mostly stood around and shot fireballs in the air. Two, he nitpicked on the game not having Simon Belmont be playable (especially ridiculous when Simon and a retro stage based on the first game was eventually released), and he also seemed to ignore the released DLC that added stages and characters. Third, he complained that the game was too easy with other players and how they had fully leveled up their characters, when [[{{Hypocrite}} he makes a routine out of complaining about hard difficulties]]. But those were the icing on a vile cake. The main thing I have against this review is how he only really played with Shanoa and Charlotte in the footage (Jonathan was used too, but the footage with him was only really there for a few seconds). Besides the fact that it's unprofessional, but it gives the implication that [[UnfortunateImplications he plays the girls only because they're hot]]. Further squick is added when one considers that Charlotte is about half his age and Shanoa is basically an avatar of the producer's wife. By far one of my least favourite reviews from the guy, which says a lot.
* 1upmushroom: His review of GhostsNGoblins anyone? I can handle the poor grammar ("Most hardest game"), I can handle the pointless characters like Devil Bores and Cousin Joey, I can even handle the fact that he claims the game is too hard when the gameplay footage shows that he isn't even trying (that last one is to expected by now), I mean these aspects make the review bad [[SoBadItsGood but in a entertaining way]]. However there are two problems that make this review worse than usual. One, the fact that he covers both the Arcade and NES version while claiming he's only doing the NES version. Now this wouldn't be a bad thing, if not for the fact that he says he's only reviewing the NES version and puts in footage of the arcade version hoping people wouldn't notice. He's reason for doing so (that being summed up as "The NES version was too hard for me to beat, so I used the Arcade version while activating the God mode cheat to show the rest of the game") makes it even worse! [[FridgeLogic Really Chris? You included both versions because one was too hard? Well why did you make it seem like both versions were just one? Why didn't you transition from one version to another? Why didn't you just pick the easier version to begin with?!]]
** Secondly, even with the cheat on he still sucks at the game! Seriously, this proves he's not even trying! He's just going onward while blasting the game for his own faults! I'm normally conditioned to accept that he doesn't try playing the games he reviews, but not trying even when you have an invincibility cheat activated?!
* cdmnumber1fan: He criticizes the gameplay of Tetris 2, when it is EXACTLY the same as the gameplay of "VideoGame/DrMario", a game that he supposedly enjoys.
* WilliamRadarStorm: The Dethroning moment for me was not in his main show, but in Haunted Investigators. In one scene, he claims that a woman saying "Thank You" is an abnormal moment, despite having a female investigator that sounds virtually identical. Furthermore, he puts a graphic on the screen that says "it must have come from this close a distance," with part of where the female investigator was standing in the circle, pretty much proving that it was the woman. "Could this be the sound of a woman saying Thank you?" Yes. The one you're standing behind. Can't you figure that out?!
* Trialman: The end of his VideoGame/SpyHunter review. First, he keeps going on about wanting to see the game's ending, despite the fact it's clearly an EndlessGame, as with most arcade games and ports. As a result, he does a skit with a fake ending where the road just ends, and his car falls into a pit, followed by some AWinnerIsYou text. This might have been fine, except he uses it as an excuse to destroy the game. He destroyed a game over his own faked ending. Bores, if you want to smash a game cartridge, give us a proper reason. The fact that he made up a fake part of the game just to justify destroying it comes up as really dickish and petty. Quite possibly the worst game destruction on a CausticCritic show.
* Main/{{minikiss}}: First things first: I do admit that I really do enjoy the Irate Gamer despite a couple of flaws. In his History of Video Games Part 10 about the UsefulNotes/{{Intellivision}} however there was a segment with him constantly failing a skiing and after a fake Game Over screen, which honestly I didn't cared alot for, he the suddenly out of nowhere made a tasteless joke in expense of Sonny Bono's tragic ski accident. I defend the show at almost every occasion, however [[DudeNotFunny doing a joke in expense of a real life person's dead which let's face it isn't funny at all is probably the biggest lowpoint anyone could ever go for a cheap gag.]] It's also very questionable doing such a joke considering that he stated on his Facebook page, that he wasn't able to bring the episode weeks earlier because a family member of his currently died, which makes you really wonder why he didn't cut out that joke. I don't hate Chris personally, but the Sunny Bono Gag was without a doubt the worst joke he's ever done.
* JEFFWONTLEAVE: The Irate Gamer was one of those people that because of being a over-exposed dead horse that I thought maybe, just maybe, that it would be slightly over exaggerated. And personally speaking, while a good chunk of it was head-inducingly dull, they we’re still watchable attempts at {{CausticCritic}} humor. That being said, during the later years where he started shoving away his fans and trying to jump on the Skylanders/Amiibo bandwagon I did blast him for it. And as such, what was meant to be his [[AuthorsSavingThrow Author Saving Throw]] during this time, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYnM9hexHdA Irate Gamer Finally Opens Up about AVGN and more]] was a colossal fuck up of smug blatant lies which only worked for AVGN's hatedom and nobody else. I could go over multiple examples of how this video was an atrocity, but since I can only do one moment, I’ll highlight his experience with the “OutNerd the Nerd contest” which I was a participant in. 1: He claims that the reason his videos we’re like AVGN’s was because he was doing this contest. Turns out the contest was announced in August 2007, and by that time he had done 7-8 reviews by that time. 2: He claims the winner of the contest, Derek Alexander [[WebVideo/TheHappyVideoGameNerd (The Happy Video Game Nerd/Stop Skeletons From Sweating) ]] was absolutely nothing like the nerd. That was not the point of the contest. The main goal of the contest was “Out nerd the nerd” as in showing Your information, trivia and pride of the topic in your videos, while also having some production skills and an engaging personality. Either he just looked at the name of the contest and nothing else or he flat out lied about the contest. 3: He claims that James Rolfe had rigged the contest. Well that’s weird because according to Mike Matei, GameTrailers did the contest without their consent and James didn’t even see the HVGN videos until after it ended. After hearing this awful, awful use of slander, I Immediately began to realize how bad The Irate Gamer truly was and how I felt like a complete idiot for trying to defend him all those years. That truly was one of the worst moments I ever had watching a Video.
** Savini24: It's hard to pick from the other moments, but here goes: Bores goes down a list of times where he was copied by James, or that James deliberately beat him to a subject matter to steal his thunder. All of the instances have been debunked due by people who have bothered to research the release and announcement dates. Even if Chris honestly believed that he was being targeted by James, his failure to substantiate his claims makes this attempt to turn the tables an unnecessary and inaccurate play of the victim card. It falls flat on its face and makes Bores seem as dishonest and manipulative as he's trying to make James out to be.
* Sampa CM: Personally I don't mind him that much, I like watching parodies such as the Third Rate Gamer, or take-ons such as the ''I can't believe it's not [=AVGN=]'' series by Dlabaoaqu, or the ''Irate Gamer Sucks'' blog, which are actually pretty funny. However, there are instances that, no matter mow much I try, I just can't find them funny at all. So, my personal [=DMOS=] is his review of the ''Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles'' games for the NES. The very worst part comes when he reviews the NES port of [[VideoGame/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesTheArcadeGame the Arcade Game]] (One of my favorite games from my childhood). When he starts the game, he suddenly calls it a huge letdown and a pixelated nightmare for not having arcade-style graphics and 4-player mode. What?! It's an 8-bit port, the graphics obviously will not be the same as the Arcade version, and it only allows two players! And he doesn't even talk about the controls, which I find soft and fluid, or the gameplay. I actually find this port easier than the original Arcade version, and I really love [[AdaptationExpansion the extra stages]], but he claims that they're a waste of space, then adds that Konami should have used it to make the game closer to the Arcade version. Then he destroys the cartidge. Why? Just because of the graphics? This episode was painful: He bashes a good game such as [=TMNT2:=] The Arcade Game for NES for incredibly stupid reasons (The graphics, the 2-player mode, which he actually praises in [[VideoGame/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesTurtlesInTime Turtles In Time]], showing that he can't even make his mind about it), and I find this episode too painful to watch again... At least the oiginal episode, I can still enjoy Dlabaoaqu's take-on in his ''I can't believe it's not [=AVGN=]'' series, or the severe critic made in the ''Irate Gamer Sucks'' blog.
