One of several unwritten series created by troper
Mark Lungo,
V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S. is a tribute to the
Merchandise Driven adventure cartoons of
The Eighties. (It was inspired by a similar tribute,
Cartoon Action Hour—especially
Warriors of the Cosmos, the creators' love letter to
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.) The characters are
Funny Animals, but
V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S. is more serious than
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987. The intended tone is closer to something like
SWAT Kats, leavened by the clever, character-based humor of series like
The Real Ghostbusters and
Kim Possible.
The premise: Virnu is a
Krypton-esque world where super science and ancient sorcery meet epic heroism and over-the-top villainy. Every day seems to bring a new threat: Cyborg gangsters, sadistic ghosts, alien invaders, traitorous conspirators—you name it. Fortunately, the planet is protected by the V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S., a heroic
Badass Crew who use technology, magic and
The Power of Friendship to keep their world safe. You can learn more about the V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S. and their friends and foes at
the character sheet.
Be warned that anything you read here or on the character sheet (especially character names) is subject to change.
Tropes:
- Action Girl: Most of the female characters.
- Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Virnu has a wider range of fur colors than the real world.
- Animal Superheroes/Badass Crew: The V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S., of course.
- Badass: All over the place. Virnu isn't quite a World of Badass, but it's close.

- Battle Couple: Bravurso and Avonova.
- Casual Danger Dialogue
- City of Adventure/Shining City: Raltca, the capitol city of Virnu.

- Fantastic Science
- Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Including a band of wanderers who are based on the Roma and the Irish Travellers.
- Fantasy Kitchen Sink: Any fantasy or sci-fi element that can kick off a good story (and doesn't contradict the earlier stories) might show up here.
- Fish People: A whole race of them, one of whom is the V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S.' Gadgeteer Genius.
- Five-Bad Band: The Scourge Brigade.
- Five-Man Band: The first lineup of the V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S.

- Multinational Team: The V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S., the Scourges and the Mean Spirits are all examples.
- Non-Lethal Warfare: The V.I.C.T.O.R.R.S.' specialty.

- Power Crystal: The power source for a lot of Virnu technology.
- Schizo Tech
