Updated is a fan-made farming simulation game that started in February 2015. It has been a work-in-progress ever since. It will be based around the Story of Seasons franchise.

You’ve signed up to be a new farmer at Larkspur Village. This happy village is for those who are tired of the troubles going on outside. You heard the rumors and left the city behind since you didn’t have any close ties with anyone. All of your family members were gone or dead. All your friends that weren’t that close to you left, died, or betrayed you. Sometimes it was a combination of each. So of course you went to this fairly obscure village but there’s two problems.

One, the mayor, Oliver, doesn’t want just anyone here. He wants this to be the best town ever and to do so he hasto be a little strict. The mayor wants you to prove that you’re worthy of living in this town by setting a goal for you as a farmer. You must complete that goal by the end of year 2 if you want to stay here for as long as you like.

The second problem is that the land is slowly dying and the Harvest Goddess needs people’s help! Over the years, however, the Harvest Goddess has been disappearing from normal humans’ view. Less and less people have the ability to see her. Luckily, you can and she needs your help to spread the word of her back into the town! Do it in the name of the Goddess and the mostly friendly villagers will surely praise her again, thus giving her power. Remember this: if the Harvest Goddess dies, then you won't be able to be a successful farmer here. If she goes, so do you!

This game will probably involve time stopping indoors, no friendship decay, a simpler farming system, and more! The game is supposed to be like older Story of Seasons games.

This fan-made game provides examples of:

  • Acceptable Breaks from Reality: The usual. Harvest Goddesses, Harvest Sprites, no aging, whatever.
  • Action Mom: Enya is one, to an extent. She can apparently, "give and take a powerful punch."
  • Aerith and Bob: There's names like Garth, Reizo, and Tobin with names like Dwyer and Keira.
  • Bittersweet Ending: If you save the goddess, but don't get to stay at the town.
  • Call to Agriculture:
    • You were in the city when you wanted to start studying agriculture and crap. Eventually you were done studying and you came here to start a farm.
    • Same applies for Quincy and Francis who are both farmers.
  • Canon Name: The default name for your main character is Dakota.
  • Creature-Breeding Mechanic: Chickens lay eggs and other animals can get pregnant.
  • Darker and Edgier: The game is this to the original SOS series.
    • Serenity used to work as a maid for a master. She got sent away because she had an affair with him. She can also flirt with you if you have her at a high heart level, no matter if you have a partner already or not.
    • In previous games only one old person would die and some people would run away and that would be it. Reizo can leave and Poppy can get kicked out. Alfonso (an old man) and Garth (a child) can both die.
      • Let it also be known that Alfonso can die unhappily and without any loved ones if Reizo leaves town before he goes. Also, if that happens then that means that Reizo will probably never know what happened to her parents.
    • Part of the plot involves saving Harela Harvest Goddess from her death. Most times in the original series she was just in trouble.
    • Another part of the plot involves Harela manipulating you for her own selfish desires, then abandoning you after you help her.
    • According to Bern's backstory, his previous wife before Ambrose (the mother of Bernard) cheated on him and left.
    • Erin and Tybalt's parents cheated on each other and got divorced.
    • Blair had to watch both of his parents die in a fire.
  • Dating Sim: Only a portion of the game is this, but the game is one nonetheless.
  • Death by Childbirth: Offscreen it happens to one of Bern's wives, Ambrose.
  • Defrosting the Ice Queen: Reizo and Quincy should count. Cytisus too.
  • Dialogue Tree: In regular gameplay and in heart events you can sometimes choose what to say for yourself.
  • Divine Date: You can woo and marry [[spoiler: Pandora, Zosimus, Fuchsia, and Cystisus
  • Downer Ending: If you fail your goal and don't save the Harvest Goddess.
  • Dying Town: Very donwnplayed. The Harvest Goddess is dying, and if she dies all the farmers will go too since the soil won't be blessed anymore. So then the farmers will have to move, but that's probably it. Maybe the river will be tainted without the goddess, but other than that the town might be okay, but will need a little work.
  • First Girl Wins: If you marry the first person you see in the game then it's this.
  • Fishing Minigame: There will be fishing in this game.
  • Free Rangechildren: There's a lot of kids who get to go where they like.
  • Gay Option: You can pair some marriage candidates with others of the same sex.
  • The Ghost: A lot of people who are outside of the town and are only mentioned are this.
  • Good Is Dumb: Exploited by Osvaldo. He pretends he's too dumb or nice to understand what mean things people say about him.
  • Grammar Nazi: Everly is this.
  • Happily Married: A lot, if not all of the couples in town are this way. When you get married, chances are you will be too.
  • Heroic Mime: Nope! You'll be talking here, though maybe not much.
  • Incredibly Lame Pun: There are quite a few.
    • On Poppy's part of the hmuuc bachelorettes page, there's this:
Poppy: What did the letter say to the other letter? "I see you!"
Poppy: When the miner was lost, he said, "God granite."
    • For Ava there's this:
Ava: I have racing games! They drive me crazy! Ohhhh oh oh oh oh!
    • "Can I peas have some soup?"
  • Intergenerational Friendship: There's a bit.
    • Alfonso the old man with the twin teens Erin and Tybalt.
    • Corliss with Ivonne.
    • Everly with Erin and Tybalt.
    • Sadie and Violet.
  • Interspecies Romance: If you marry Pandora, Zosimus, Fuchsia, or Cytisus it's this.
  • In-Universe Game Clock: Like the regular Story of Seasons games, it's here.
  • Invisible to Normals: The Harvest Goddesses seem to be this. Maybe the Harvest Sprites too.
  • It's Up to You: Since you're one of the only people who can see the Harvest Goddess, it's up to you to save her.
  • The Lost Lenore: Bern's recent wife Ambrose is this. She died of childbirth.
  • Love Interests: Nine boys and nine girls total.
  • Marry for Love: For almost all of the marriages it's probably this. Except for Poppy's marriage. She at first marries to have safety and comfort, knowing that someone will watch over her. However, she can change and can fall in love with her spouse.
  • Mini-Game: At the festivals you can race or enter in contests.
  • Minor Living Alone:
    • Quite a few kids in the town are this way for one reason or another.
    • Clint invokes this on purpose because he wanted a challenge for himself.
  • Modern Stasis: Even if you play the game for years the technology and such will be the same.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • There's going to be an event where Sylvia breaks her ankle and you have to carry her.
    • Just like in previous Story of Seasons games, people will move out if you don't do something. Reizo, like Karen, Kai, and Cliff, will move away if you don't befriend her, Keira, or get her married. Poppy will leave if you don't get her a job, just like Cliff from FoMT and MFoMT. Alfonso and Garth will both die eventually, just like Nina, Eda, and Ellen.
    • The whole plot is very reminiscent of older Harvest Moon plots. Just like SNES, 64, and other games you get judged at a certain point in time. And just like Magical Melody and other games, you have to save the Harvest Goddess. But there's a twist at the latter plot.
  • Nature Spirit: The Harvest Sprites should count.
  • Nice Guys Finish Last: Exploited by Osvaldo. He acts so nice because he wants everyone to step all over him. That way, they'll be busy kicking him and not anyone else.
  • One-Steve Limit: No character within this game has the same name as another. Unless you count games outside of this one.
  • Only One Name: You never get any last names here.
  • Pair the Smart Ones: If you, a Brainy Brunette go with Keira, Dwyer, Todd, Lisette, or Flossie it's this. If you pair any of the above together then it's also this.
  • Pair the Spares: If you have any leftover bach and you want to pair them with each other, then it's this.
  • Permanently Missable Content:
    • Reizo, if you let her leave.
    • Garth and Alfonso die.
  • Protagonist Without a Past: Averted for once! So apparently you like to travel around a lot, a lot of your friends weren't good people, your family members are gone or dead, and you've studied farming before coming here.
  • Purely Aesthetic Gender: Yep. Gender matters nowhere here.
  • Relationship Values: If you're wooing someone this will be here to count it.
  • Rescue Romance: Everly fell in love with Osvaldo after he saved her from drowning when he was working as a lifeguard.
  • The Reveal: Several.
    • Reizo will leave and never return if you don't do anything to stop her.
    • Alfonso is actually named Ferdinand and Reizo is actually named Rene. Rene used to live with her rich family and one of their butlers Ferdinand until the house burned down. The family had a huge fight over the last possessions they had and split up. Ferdinand took care of Rene after that, until he disappeared for a while after. He doesn't tell her he's here in the village because Ferdinand doesn't want Rene to worry over him or his health.
    • Flossie and Rollin are long lost siblings. Their mom put Flossie on the street because the mom had bad memories with female people. The mom didn't want to deal with that again.
    • Poppy will be kicked out of the village by Mayor Oliver if you don't get her a job.
    • Harela the Harvest Goddess is a Manipulative Bitch and uses you to help her not die. After you help her she doesn't try to pay you back at all.
    • Ilse, Lynn, Akira, Felix, and Violet used to compete in illegal races. A lot of their friends died because of it. Now, they're the only ones left.
    • Blair watched their parents die in a fire.
    • Bern's first wife cheated on him.
    • Erin and Tybalt's parents cheated on each other and got divorced.
    • A smaller reveal, but one nonetheless. Osvaldo is so nice so that people step over him instead of anyone else.
    • Sadie's parents left her up for adoption for reasons Sadie doesn’t know. Her other foster parents either didn’t like her or were just mean. Her last foster parents were the worst, so she ran away to here.
  • Saintly Church: There's one that is run by Antoine.
  • Scripted Event: The random events and heart events.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: The bachelors and bachelorettes are sort of built around this.
    • Keira and Todd are Sloth.
    • Reizo and Oren are Greed.
    • Sylvia and Francis are Wrath.
    • Poppy and Rollin are Lust.
    • Ava and Quincy are Pride.
    • Lisette and Dwyer are Envy.
    • Flossie and Bernard are Gluttony.
  • Sidequest: You could just follow whatever the plot tells you to do but there's a lot of stuff like foraging, fishing, and participating in festivals that's also fun.
  • Slice of Life
  • Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome: There's no way that the kids in this game will age like kids in real life.
  • Sprint Meter: You can only work for so long until you collapse.
  • Sugar Bowl: Despite everything, this game still is a very happy game.
  • Take Your Time: Time will stop indoors.
  • Talk to Everyone: You have to talk to everyone if you want their friendship points to raise.
  • Through Their Stomach: You can raise people's friendship points by giving them gifts and food is usually accepted.
  • Vague Age: No one has an offical age.
  • Video Game Caring Potential: You can save the Harvest Goddess and be friends with everyone.
  • Video Game Cruelty Potential: You can also go ahead and let the Harvest Goddess die, thus condemning the other farmers to doom.
  • Wizard Needs Food Badly: You have a stamina bar and you need to eat if you want to keep it up.
    • Bern's previous wife before Bernard's mom cheated on him and left.
    • Erin and Tybalt's parents cheated on each other and got divorced.
  • Your Favorite: You can give characters their favorite item.
