True Calling is a multi-part saga taking place on the world of Vash, which is essentially its own timeline's equivalent to Earth. Vash has numerous 'Ages' - the original story (simply titled True Calling) takes place during the Third Age. Time to look at the stories themselves...the format is Title (Chronological order): description.

  • True Calling (Fourth): The original story. Alexander is the son of a farmer on a small island in the South Seas on the flooded world of Vash. There are only two things that are particularly interesting about him: he's rather adept at magic, and he was childhood friends with The Chosen One, Chantarelle. However, when he was younger, she was kidnapped shortly after performing her duty (ending the eternal rains that plagued the world). Now of age, Alexander heads out into the world on a small dinghy after receiving a tip as to her location from a mysterious sailor. Along the way, he meets numerous allies, but also accidentally involved in the machinations of a biotech group led by a mysterious man in a suit.
    • Maps and Charts (Fifth): Perspective Flip of the original centering around Jesse, the aforementioned 'mysterious sailor'. Answers a bunch of questions from the previous.
    • New World Rising (Sixth): A sequel that takes place a decade or two after the original. Tweleve-year-old Amy is the daughter of Alexander, and her older brother is a mage named Seth. Seth is taken on a trip to a nearby kingdom to learn about diplomacy, but Amy and her friend Lucas stow away on the ship. After the ship is attacked, Amy needs to somehow find Lucas and Seth and get back home. Meanwhile, strange things are happening again, and Amy might be more important than she thinks...
  • A World of Feathers (Second): Liara is an infamous thief trying to steal an ancient relic from a museum in the capital of Ser. Just when she's about to be captured and killed, she's saved by an exiled general by the name of Greaver. The two of them are caught up in a vast conspiracy involving human clones and dark magic that could have repercussions for thousands of years.
  • Wings of Frost (Seventh): Kent is a Knight in the far future galactic empire of Rhodia. He is sent down with a special team to the now-frozen planet of Vash. However, the group is forced to evacuate their ship while in orbit and are separated. What caused the ship to malfunction? Who is the girl Sigrun who was added to their group despite having no combat experience? And what is the group looking for in the first place? Kent never gets to find this out, as he dies early on and Sigrun becomes the protagonist.
    • Age of Discovery (Eighth): Direct sequel to Wings of Frost.
    • The Eternal Star (Ninth): Direct sequel to Age of Discovery and the last story in the chronology.
  • Tower of Secrets (First): Maya is one of the strongest soldiers working for the merchant city-state of Cagliastria. She and her brother, known simply as the General, are sent on a mission to deliver a message to the capital of the federation that they're a part of, Verdena. However, complications arise, and the General goes back to worn Cagliastria's prince. Maya heads on ahead alone through the vast desert between the two cities, and learns of the Elementals, a mysterious precursor race to humans...
  • The First Rains (Third): A man named Lionel signs up for the Serrian military and meets his partner, a Keet named J. The two of them are sent on special missions by their king. However, J doesn't trust the king's military adviser, and things are a lot more dire than it seems. The actions that Lionel and J take lead directly to the world being flooded before True Calling.
