What if you never had to make mistakes?
That's the question the founders of the new world were faced with. Deciding to ignore their moral standards, they agreed that making no mistakes by following others' orders, was better than making your own mistakes. They had no idea that by giving someone the power to control others' choices would open the door for other horrible things.
But that was 70 years ago. Now Kemen Aetius Kendrick stands ready for his division. Everything goes great until he is placed in the reformatory division. His friends stop talking to him when he is sent to the strongest institution. Shortly before his reformation he, along with four other kids, are taken by two Plebes.
Now he must come to terms with the fact that everything around him is fake. The worst part- he's not so sure he minds.
This still in development work can best be described as "The Giver" meets "Unwind".With slightly worse writing
This work provides examples of:
- Action Girl: Mainly Savannah
- Aerith and Bob: Most characters' first and middle names aren't very similar. Mostly because law requires you to honor certain members by naming your child after them
- All Love Is Unrequited: Tansy loves Alvis who's a Chaste Hero with plenty of moments with Lennon. Lennon himself loves Savannah, who can no longer accept him. Kemen loves Bell, whose got a thing for Bemus who's infatuation with Aelia is a little unhealthy.
- Amicable Exes: Alvis and Aelia's grandparents
- Betty and Veronica: Millie and Bell. Maybe Aelia and Savannah
- Dead Guy Junior: Every single character is named after a dead relative.
- Happily Married: Kemen's parents
- Journey to the Center of the Mind: Used on Kemen, when he refuses to accept the Plebes arguments.
