Ruins is an upcoming Action-Adventure game created by Moonrat. It is set in a vast ruin that spans multiple levels underground. The player can unlock characters to play in an attempt to make it further down into the ruins. The player can collect various items for their Treasure Pile, and the treasures function as a high score table. (But Treasure is also used to unlock one of the characters, as well as a currency.) The goal of the game is to descend to the lowest level of The Ruins, where the player will find what they are looking for. The Ruins is split into various levels, which each have a different theme and gimmicks for the player to see and contend with.
The five characters are, in order of unlock:
- William, an adventurer entering the Ruins to find a lost friend.
- Robbie, an infamous robber looking to loot the unexplored areas.
- Scott, a mad scientist looking to find technology to help him achieve his own goals.
- James, a douchebag going into the Ruins on a bet from his friends.
- Veronica, an assassin attempting to track down a target, who fled into the Ruins.
