Darth Wiki: After The Fact Mega Man Chronicles
|
After The Fact Mega Man Chronicles is a possibly never-going-to-be-made story about Mega Man's life after...one of the games, it's not exactly precise which game.
It's probably going to be a comedy like every other Mega Man comic that's famous/infamous.
Will not be made with 16-Bit Sprites, but 8-Bit.
- Action Girl: Roll, like other webcomics, but no Battle Armor, but she does have a buster and her broom, her broom can deflect attacks.
- Author Avatar: Subverted, the author never makes an appearance in the Mega Man universe, but snarks on his own ideas in a room and is fairly normal looking.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Bass will do this a few times, even pointing out Tropes and Idioms a few times.
- Character Exaggeration/Alternate Character Interpretation: The characters will most likely have their canon personalities, but amped up to utterly stupid levels.
- Kalinka will at first seem like the Only Sane Man...only to be revealed she's probably almost as nuts as the rest of the cast.
- Composite Character: The Mega Man clone (Or, "Copy Rock" to distinguish), is a composite of the character of the first game, and the scarfed knockoff from the game that it's linked to.
- Crazy-Prepared: Kalinka mentions that she started carrying a gun ever since 4...but admits to probably having carried the gun before then.
- Enemy Mine: Wily and Mega Man team up to stop Doc Robot from taking over the world in the first arc.
- Flashback Twist: When Mega Man flashes back to previous encounters with bosses, he'll give a less then true account of how he won, with the flashback showing how he really won.
- Genre Savvy: Mega Man himself, rather than go by the Idiot Hero interpretations of these days, he's going to have idealistic moments, but is ultimately savvy of how things work in the comic.
- The military Robot Masters may become this, mentioning that the military usually don't attack the building with a big skull on it, but when they find out about the volcano base, the military decides to attack the Volcano, not because there's a skull pattern (Wily decided to be more subtle), but because the W insignia was near it (but one of his robots signified they were living there by accident)
- Hijacked by Ganon: Averted, in the story, Wily won't be the villain. Save for later arcs.
- Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: At one point, several Military Robot Masters invade one of Wily's new fortresses, there are probably 16 or more Robot Masters, but every single Sniper Joe misses every one of them.
- Lampshade Hanging: A bit, mainly involving the plots of the games.
- Loads and Loads of Characters: Wily's Robots were repaired, meaning they're still alive.
- Monster of the Week: Mega Man admits that Wily is pretty much committing other evil acts besides 8 Robots and ends up fighting him almost every day, every six months though, Mega Man admits Wily mixes it up with new Robots, and this is the reason Mega Man figures out something is wrong, because 8 Robots weren't attacking after six months.
- OC Stand In: A Mega Man clone from the first game makes his appearance, when he questions why he was created, Bass says that the Author was too lazy to make his own original character.
- Only Sane Man: Roll will grow into this as the comic goes on. Kalinka seems like she is, at first, but then she proves that she's one of the least sane out of the cast.
- The military Robots will be a bit peeved about the military's general stupidity.
- Otaku: Bass of all characters, he even admits to doing research on anything he's interested, he also seems to be a Troper. Mega Man is also an avid Mecha fan.
- Recycled Script: Doc Robot mentions that he is essentially using the exact same plot as Wily... But he amps the level of Robot Masters up to 24, and also increased their abilities.
- Running Gag: A few.
- Supervillain Lair: Wily decides to avoid blatantly obvious bases, although, this is a problem, as his bases are apparently:
- Under the ocean: The base was largely incomplete due to Wily's bad wording, where he says "By the time I get here, the base will be complete", it wasn't, and due to the wording, his own Joes ended up not only not attempting to fix the problems, but refused to complete it. Wily can't access his own lab without a scuba suit and his Fire Robots refuse to live down there.
- Under a Volcano: The base was complete, but working conditions were still problematic, as the temperature was kinda punishing in some places, his Water Robot Masters refuse to work there as well.
- The Ice Caps: This base actually worked better than the other two, though the temperature, again, was unforgiving, his Robot Masters did work with him, both fire and water, but his base was also quite slippery.
- Shout Out: Might have a few gags about Gurren Lagann or other anime.
- The Supervillain Lair locations are mostly meant to be TMNT shout outs, as to where the Technodrome was located.
