Production I.G is a Japanese production studio founded in 1987. They've been responsible for dozens upon dozens of movie, video game and anime productions, including Psycho-Pass, Ghost in the Shell, and Eden of the East. They are also well-regarded for their use of digital compositing techniques.

The "I.G" part of the company name refers to its founders, Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and Takayuki Goto, who previously worked for Tatsunoko Production. They frequently collaborate with Mamoru Oshii.

Production I.G has five subsidiary companies, Mag Garden, Lingua franca (co-owned by Bushiroad), Wit Studio, Signal.MD, and I.G Zwei (formerly Xebec Zwei), organized since 2007 under a large holding firm known as I.G Port. Other former subsidiaries include Bee Train (which went independent in 2006) and Xebec (which was sold to Sunrise in 2018 before folding the next year).

Compare with Rough Draft Studios, DR Movie, Sunwoo Entertainment, Digital eMation, GONZO and Toon City, six other studios known for their CG animation blending. See also photography studio Trans Arts, the company's partner for various shows.

A complete list of works by them can be found on ANN. Their official website can be found online.
