VIFX, also known as Video Image, was a wholly owned 20th Century Fox subsidiary specializing in visual effects, post-production, and until the mid-90s, graphical display animations for films. In 1997, they acquired then small-time Blue Sky Studios and became Blue Sky/VIFX for a year.
In 1999, VIFX was purchased by Rhythm & Hues, while Blue Sky remained at Fox.
