Southend Interactive was a video game developer based in Malmö, Sweden. Founded in 1998, the company grew a wider audience in the late 2000s with releases on Xbox Live Arcade that included remakes of Lode Runner and R-Type, followed by the 2011 release of the cutesy puzzle game, ilomilo. The studio closed down in 2013, with all of its employees joining Massive Entertainment.
