Saif Ali Khan Pataudi (born Sajid Ali Khan Pataudi, 16 August 1970) is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Hindi-language cinema. He is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and Indian international cricketer and Nawabnote  of the erstwhile princely state of Pataudi Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudinote . He has two sisters: actress Soha Ali Khan and designer Saba Ali Khan.

Saif began his career with the film Parampara (1992), breaking through with the films Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Yeh Dillagi (both 1994). After a subsequent string of flops, he had a Career Resurrection with Dil Chahta Hai (2001), following it up with success in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). He has been noted for his wide range of roles, ranging from light-hearted romantic comedy to much more serious fare, including playing an adaptation of Iago in Vishal Bharadwaj's Omkara. Saif has also acted in live-action series, making his debut headlining India's first Netflix original series, the critically acclaimed Sacred Games.

Saif is also a producer, having founded the production company Illuminati Films in 2009, which has produced several films including Love Aaj Kal 2009

Saif was married to actress Amrita Singh from 1991 to 2004, with whom he had two children, including actress Sara Ali Khan. He has been married to Kareena Kapoor since 2012; the couple have two children.
