Composite Image Systems (CIS) is A North American-based visual effects studio.
Established in 1984, they pioneered the pin-registered film-to-tape transfer process, which allowed for multiple objects to be composited onto a single image. In the late 2000s, they bought the visual effects arm of Rainmaker Entertainment. Which was then bought out by Method Studios a short while later.
