* Saya name drops the 101 Womb Project at the end of ''VideoGame/EndlessFrontier EXCEED'' but no one knew what it was all about except for Ouma. You get to fight said project in this game.

* When Urashima starts to explain about the shards and the connection towards [[VideoGame/NamcoXCapcom the previous incident]], Jill name drops [[VideoGame/ResidentEvilGunSurvivor US-STRATCOM]]. Chun-Li also mentions that aside from Interpol, her, she also name drops the Chinese government, where Fong-Ling is associated. Reiji even mentions the part where he and Xiaomu lose contact with the Shinra headquarters, something that happens near the beginning of the game. Finally, Ken mentions, not by name, [[VideoGame/SoulSeries Mitsurugi and Taki]], something that Valkyrie claims that fate is the reason why Natsu's with them.

* Lady's Solo Attack includes some of her acrobatics seen in the opening cutscene to chapter 6 of ''[[{{VideoGame/DevilMayCry}} Devil May Cry 3]]'' where it's her against a horde of Hell Prides and Hell Lusts, namely her spinning-flips dual-wielding gun-attack. Add in one of her quotes during her Assist is "Mother, give me strength..."

One of ''ProjectXZone'''s most notable praises is its adherence to continuity. Not just to ''VideoGame/NamcoXCapcom'', but to the franchises of which the featured games are apart of. As one Website/GameFAQs user stated, "[[DevelopersForesight (The) developer(s) think(s) of everything.]]"
