Lists the various Wrestling/{{WWE}} wrestlers who are currently part of the Wrestling/{{WWE NXT}} Developmental System. Please limit associated tropes to that wrestler's time in WWE.
%% When a wrestler gets either released or called up to the main roster (Raw, Smackdown, etc.), remove them from here. If the latter, also add them to the respective character pages: [[Characters/WWENew New Era]], [[Characters/WWEDivas Divas]], or [[Character/WWETagTeams Tag Teams]]. When they get an independent page, remove the tropes and put a link in to their page.

[[folder: NXT Television roster]]
Contains Superstars who have made their official on-screen debut on NXT.

!!! Akam (Sunny Dhinsa)
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He and Rezar came out after Wrestling/AmericanAlpha lost the NXT tag titles back to The Revival and utterly destroyed the ex-champions before being called to the back by legendary manager [[Wrestling/RoadWarriors Paul Ellering]].
* IdenticalStranger: He looks very similar to a heavier-set version of early-career Wrestling/DLoBrown.
* LightningBruiser: A 290-pound beast whose tandem offense with Rezar is surprisingly fast and appropriately painful.
* SpiritualSuccessor TagTeam: In the same vein as old school big vicious bruiser tandems such as the Powers of Pain, Faces of Fear, Demolition Road Warriors/Legion of Doom, etc., he and Rezar are known as the [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Authors of Pain]]. Given that the Legion of Doom's former manager is now guiding the Authors, this is most likely on purpose.
* TattooedCrook: Has Polynesian ink on his right upper arm and chest.
* ThemeNaming: The philosophical principle of '''''[=Occam's=]''' razor'' goes that among competing hypotheses, select the simplest one with the least assumptions. What Akam and Rezar are here to do needs no assumptions made.

!!! Cedric Alexander

!!! Aliyah (Nhooph Al-Areebi)
* AmbiguouslyBrown: She's part Arab, but this heritage has yet to be acknowledged, and she competes with light brown hair. Her ring name Aliyah is Middle-Eastern in origin but is popular among African, Hispanic and Jewish ethnicities too.
* BedlahBabe: Initially wrestled in ring gear with coins dangling from the hem and a bejewelled headband. After making her official TV debut, she swapped to a more traditional ring gear.
* FaceHeelTurn: She was a babyface during her first few appearances, but became a heel following her proper debut.
* HairDecorations: A headband with cat ears.
* HeelFaceTurn: Seems to be a face again after Liv Morgan saved her from being screwed over by Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, with Aliyah returning the favor when the two turned to Liv.
* {{Jobber}}: Given her inexperience, it's hardly surprising.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: She received one from Asuka, who wanted to send a message to Bayley.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Inverted--she wore a purple outfit during her first on-screen match, and got her ass handed to her on a silver platter.
* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: Her heel turn after her official debut came from out of nowhere.

!!! Andrade 'Cien' Almas (Manny Andrade)
* AlliterativeName: His 'proper' ring name, Andrade Almas.
* AwesomeMcCoolname: "Cien Almas" is Spanish for "Hundred Souls." Given that his ''former'' ring name was ''La Sombra'' (The Shadow)... [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast make of that what you will.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: After he and Cedric Alexander lost in the first round of the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Almas viciously attacked Cedric out of frustration and anger due to his losing streak and the crowd's consistent hostile reaction to him.
* MaskedLuchador: Formerly. And unlike some of his ilk that unmask, his past as a luchador was referenced and discussed on commentary.
* NiceHat: Wears a trilby down the ramp for his entrance.
* YouAreNumberSix: Plus BilingualBonus. 'Cien' is Spanish for 100.
* WorthyOpponent: After Cedric Alexander defeated him, Almas congratulated him and shook his hand. The next episode they were one of the first teams announced for the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Unfortunately this respect didn't last long, as noted above.

!!! Wrestling/AustinAries (Dan Solwold, Jr.)

!!! [[Wrestling/KanakoUrai Asuka]] (Kanako Urai)

!!! Daria Berenato
* BloodKnight: Agrees to join Peyton Royce and Billie Key against Ember Moon, Liv Morgan, and Aliyah since it means she gets a chance to beat people up. Naturally, she's the one who ate the pinfall.
* BraidsOfAction[=/=]TomboyishPonytail: Typically has her hair in either style or a combo, which goes with her professional MMA fighter gimmick. As she is fond of saying on twitter "put up your hair and square up".
* IKnowKarate: She's a trained MMA fighter.

!!! Wesley Blake (Cory Weston)
* BashBrothers: With Murphy until they went on a losing streak and broke up.
* {{Cowboy}}: From San Antonio, Texas at that.
* FunWithAcronyms: The sometimes-used team name of '''B'''lake-'''A'''lexa-'''M'''urphy '''F'''actor. Ironically this could have still fit anyway as '''Blake''' '''''A'''nd'' '''M'''urphy '''F'''actor if Alexa weren't involved.
* LastNameBasis: He and Murphy started being announced to the ring this way since winning the tag straps up until they split. His canonical first name Wesley was almost never used during this time.
* LevelGrinding: Believe it or not, their progress as a jobber tag team saw them quietly edge ever closer to victory as time went on before they finally broke through and became more effective.
* RealMenWearPink: And they also put their hair in pigtails.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Buddy Murphy, before they became the Tag Team Champions.
* TookALevelInBadass: They went from jobbers to the Tag Team Champions in ''two weeks''.
* TookALevelInJerkass: After separating from Murphy and Bliss (the latter of whom was drafted to the Smackdown roster) and embarking on a singles career he suddenly became a ''lot'' more arrogant. And given the type of personalities BAMF had, this is saying quite a bit.
* TwoGuysAndAGirl: With Murphy and Alexa Bliss.
* WildCard: He and Murphy both won and defended the tag titles before making anything close to a statement either way on the face and heel scale.
* TheWorfBarrage: How many of their matches came across when they were jobbers. They could hang with the Lucha Dragons and the Vaudevillains in the ring, they just could never put them down for three.

!!! Tommaso Ciampa (Tommaso Whitney)
* BadassBeard: His beard has steadily grown longer, wilder, and more badass during his time in NXT.
* BaldOfAwesome
* BashBrothers: With Johnny Gargano. Although their friendship was tested when Gargano defeated Ciampa in the Cruiserweight Classic and a FaceHeelTurn was teased for Ciampa when Gargano tapped out to The Revival in their championship match at Takeover: Brooklyn II. However, Ciampa ultimately proved he valued their friendship more than winning and was simply determined that Gargano could recover so they could try again.
* FightingYourFriend: Fights against Gargano in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic. Ciampa had the match all but won, but couldn't find it in himself to truly hurt Gargano, allowing the latter to steal the win with a crucifix pinning combination.
* IdenticalStranger: He looks like a slimmer version of Wrestling/{{Ryback}} with a thicker beard.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: He is also known as Psycho Killer, which comes from his theme in the independent circuit and which fans enjoy chanting.
* TagTeam: With Gargano as [=DIY=].
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Don't let the weathered face and scraggly, somewhat graying beard (that Ciampa doesn't bother to dye) fool you - he's 31. For perspective, he's the same age as Wrestling/RomanReigns, give or take a couple of weeks. (Born May 8, 1985; Reigns was born May 25 of the same year.)

!!! Patrick Clark
* AmbiguouslyGay: Lots of Music/{{Prince}} references abound as per his wardrobe and mannerisms, but he's also been seen blowing kisses and licking his lips seductively in the direction of his opponents.
* {{Expy}}: Very early stages of Wrestling/{{Goldust}}. Does he actually swing that way, or is he just messing with opponents' heads? No one quite knows yet...
* TooDumbToLive: ...What we ''do'' know, however, is that Patrick Clark caught the IdiotBall and made possibly the dumbest decision imaginable when he, on a recent episode of NXT, walked down to the ring in the middle of a Wrestling/ShinsukeNakamura promo and challenged him to a match. Now, given that Nakamura was the reigning NXT Champion, this is already a horrible idea. Now, add the fact that Shinsuke had been in a bad mood for about two months, he was in the middle of challenging Wrestling/SamoaJoe to a rematch, and a week prior he had just got done kicking Joe's ass all over Full Sail (not to mention laying waste to every security guard that tried to interfere). Predictably, Shinsuke used him for a couple of tune-up kicks before kneeing his face in with a Kinshasa.

!!! Nikki Cross (Nicola Glencross)
* AxCrazy: As of her reappearance as a member of [=SAnitY=]. While everybody in that stable is a bit off, she may be by far the least sane one of the group, which is ''really'' saying something. She's been seen (aside from mercilessly beating her opponents) punching, slapping and biting herself, crawling on the floor and snarling like an animal. And that was in and slightly after ''one five-minute match.'' Eric Young tried to calm her down (think about the implications of ''that'' for a second) and got an elbow to the face for his trouble.
* BadassBoast: Declares herself to be "The Best in the Galaxy".
* TheDarkChick: As a member of [=SAnitY=].
* PintSizedPowerhouse: She's 5'1", but she's very solidly built and she hits ''hard.''
* SanitySlippage: When she made her initial debut, Nikki was perfectly normal. When she reappeared with [=SAnitY=], the commentators were stunned by the change in her personality.
* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: Her first television match was as a cheerful face teaming with Carmella and Liv Morgan. The next time she appears, she was the most unhinged and violent member of [=SAnitY=] with no clue as to what happened to cause the shift.
* ViolentGlaswegian: Born in Glasgow and proves to be extremely aggressive in taking the fight to her opponents.

!!! Steve Cutler (Tommy Maclin)
* SemperFi: Maclin was a legit former Marine before becoming a professional wrestler. This carries over into Cutler's wrestling "character."

!!! Killian Dain (Damian Mackle)
* BeardOfEvil
* TheBrute: He's well over 300 pounds.
* CarpetOfVirility: Well, just look at it. And there's more where that came from on the other side. He's gotten a few "shave your back!" chants.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Appears from offscreen and hits Rich Swann very hard, at which point you get to see how enormous he is.
* {{Expy}}: He debuted on NXT basically the exact same way Braun Strowman did on the main roster - as a late addition to a PowerStable where one of the original members had gone down due to an injury. The fact that he and Strowman are similar in appearance and body type just reinforces this - although, in an ironic twist, Dain bears an even closer facial resemblance to Bray Wyatt than Strowman does. He even uses a running senton like Bray. It's almost to the point that you wonder, had Dain been in NXT a couple of years earlier, whether ''he'' would have been the one pegged to take the open spot in Wrestling/TheWyattFamily as opposed to Strowman.
* FightingIrish: Hails from Belfast.
* TheMentor: Wrestling/FinnBalor had a hand in his training in Ireland.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: A 320+ pound angry FightingIrish whose name is '''Kill'''ian. ''Noooooooo thanks.''

!!! Angelo Dawkins (Gary Gordon)
* CavalierCompetitor: Despite always jobbing, he calmly waits for the next opportunity. His bio hints that he's more of a SpiritedCompetitor, but it's really not showing right now on NXT. This really irritated Sawyer Fulton while they were teaming.
* HiddenDepths: He's a former championship athlete in his college sports days. The way he calmly talks about waiting for another opportunity sounds similar to many a non-descript, sanitized post-game interview. Sawyer Fulton's growing fatigue with his sterile professionalism at all times eventually led to them breaking up.
* {{Hipster}}: Formerly. This was dropped in favor of an amateur wrestling gimmick when he started teaming with Sawyer Fulton.
* {{Jobber}}: Though he seems oddly cool about it.
* RedBaron: Adopted "The Curse of Greatness" as his moniker after splitting from Sawyer Fulton.

!!! Scott Dawson (David K. Harwood)
* BoringButPractical: It's not said this way, of course, but this seems to be the general ethos of the Mechanics, who pointedly eschew flash and eeven technical window-dressing in favor of out-brawling opponents. Their mantra is "no flips - just fists."
* CantCatchUp: Straight up invokes this toward the new Performance Center prospects in a WWE web video posted in February 2017. He tells them their goal should be as good as him and it'll never happen, then explains in an interview on the side that he worked harder than any of 'em to get here and he'll continue to work harder than any of 'em. Meaning he will continue improving and outworking everyone, so no matter how hard the new prospects try they will never reach his level.
* DeepSouth: From Whiteville, North Carolina, and his Southern work ethic is heavily emphasized as a part of his character, having been part of various redneck/Southern boy tag teams. The latest and already most successful one was initially called the Mechanics (hinting at a clear willingness to get down and dirty) and their theme song can be best described as a Southern metal anthem.
* HouseHusband: Dawson had to become the "man of the house" at a young age.
* TookALevelInBadass: After he formed the Mechanics/Revival with Dash Wilder, the duo were mainly used as enhancement talent until the both took a huge leap in the mentioned trope and scored their first victory over the incredibly over Enzo and Cass.
** They advanced to the semifinal round of the Dusty Rhodes tag team tournament, and although they were beaten by Finn Balor and Samoa Joe, they proved that they're here to stay in the tag division.
** Their badass leveling was completed when they destroyed The Vaudevillains to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. They eventually became the first two-time champions in NXT, defeating Wrestling/AmericanAlpha to get their tag titles back.

!!! Tye Dillinger (Ronnie Arneil)
* ArchEnemy: Wrestling/BobbyRoode. He gave Roode a chance only to have the man betray him (by leaving him during a tag match to get the tar kicked out of him by Sanity).
* ArcNumber: ...C'mon. Guess.
** Taken [[UpToEleven up to 10]]: [[spoiler: It was his entry number in the Royal Rumble]]
* CanadaEh: From Ontario.
* CatchPhrase: "TEN!!"
* CoolLoser: Since the debut of his 'Perfect 10' gimmick, Dillinger has been over as hell. He's also come off worse nearly every high-profile feud he's been in.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: So, to take part in the tag team classic honoring the memory of the late Wrestling/DustyRhodes, you accept the offer to team with [[Wrestling/BobbyRoode the arrogant money-centric]] [[Wrestling/{{Fortune}} ex-protégé of]] Wrestling/RicFlair [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder who you know has a history of turning against people]]? Bad move, Tye.
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: After his loss to Bobby Roode at ''Takeover: Toronto'', Dillinger begins to doubt his place in NXT and decides to test himself by challenging Samoa Joe to a match by slapping him the face backstage. While he loses, Dillinger puts up one hell of a fight.
* EnemyMine: Although he does not like or trust Bobby Roode, Dillinger agrees to team up with him for the second Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in order to have a chance to win and honor his late mentor.
* FinishingMove: A Fireman's carry neckbreaker he calls the Tye Breaker.
* RedBaron: "The Perfect 10"
* SmallNameBigEgo: According to his bio, Dillinger claims that if you wanted to be considered the best, you have to defeat him…which if one remembers his win/loss ratio in the past, and even currently against NXT's higher tier guys, [[BoisterousWeakling is not a very difficult thing to do]]. The {{irony}} is, this actually makes his claim true in a more mocking fashion—if you can't beat him, you certainly don't have any grounds calling yourself the best.
* TookALevelInBadass: After being re-packaged with the "Perfect 10" gimmick. Still got more room to go, though.
* WildCard: He initially worked as either face or heel as an episode's particular card demanded before solidifying himself as a face.

!!! Sawyer Fulton (Jacob Southwick)
* TheBrute: As the tallest and largest member of [=SAnitY=], he fills this role.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Slowly got there as his frustration grew with continuously jobbing alongside a tag team partner (Angelo Dawkins) who seemed to be unflappable about it.
** '''''Full tilt''''' with his reappearance as a member of the sAnitY faction.
* DreadlockWarrior: As a member of [=SAnitY=].
* {{Expy}}: A large, young man raised in rural America that was a multiple-time collegiate wrestling award winner, recruited by Wrestling/JimRoss out of college and has the real name of "Jacob"? Sounds a bit like Wrestling/JackSwagger.
** He and Angelo Dawkins could've been seen as one to [[Wrestling/BrockLesnar the Minnesota]] [[Wrestling/TheWorldsGreatestTagTeam Stretching Crew]], as they had a similar aesthetic and adopted an amateur wrestling gimmick.
** His newer appearance brings [[Wrestling/TheWyattFamily Braun Strowman]] to mind.
* FarmBoy: Originally
* NoDoubtTheYearsHaveChangedMe: Well, more like ''months'', but just look at him now in the picture to the right as a member of [=sAnitY=] [[ compared to his previous look]]. Even when the announcers [[TheReveal told you]] that it was Sawyer Fulton, it was a bit hard to believe if you remembered him as the guy pictured in the link.
* PutOnABus: Fulton suffered a longterm injury and was subsequently kicked out of the [=SAnitY=] faction.
* ThePeteBest:[[invoked]] May be set up to be this for [=SAnitY=], as a recent episode of NXT saw the stable come down to the ring without him, then had Eric Young make a point of stomping and spitting on his jacket before hurling it out of the ring. This indicates that Fulton may have left the group or been kicked out — possibly to be replaced by the ''[[TheBrute massive]]'' Irishman known as Killian Dain.

!!! Johnny Gargano (John Anthony Nichols)
* AffectionateNickname: Everybody calls him "Johnny Wrestling."
* BashBrothers: With Tommaso Ciampa.
* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: Ended Elias Samson's undefeated streak.
* FightingYourFriend: Fights against Ciampa in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic. Ciampa had the match all but won, but couldn't find it in himself to truly hurt Gargano, allowing the latter to steal the win with a crucifix pinning combination.
* TagTeam: With Tommaso as [=DIY=].
* WrestlingPsychology[=/=]ContinuityNod: An interesting note here as he was one of NXT's representatives for the Wrestling/WWECruiserweightClassic as a singles competitor. In storyline, an injury to his knee that happened in NXT competition would [[GameBreakingInjury cost him a match in the CWC a few episodes after the one he had with Ciampa.]] But because the CWC episodes were taped a month or so before the ''NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II'' live PPV where he would be hurt, he was put in the unique position of having to sell a storyline injury in the CWC that, chronologically speaking, hadn't happened yet.

!!! [[Wrestling/KentaKobayashi Hideo Itami]] (Kenta Kobayashi)

!!! No Way Jose (Levis Valenzuela Jr.)
* AfroAsskicker: His hair is reaching almost [[Wrestling/CarlitoColon Carlito]] levels of voluminous.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's fun-loving guy, but make no mistake, he can and will bring the fight. Austin Aries found this out the hard way.
* DanceBattler: Incorporates several dance moves into his offense.
* {{Expy}}: Initially drew Wrestling/{{Fandango}} comparisons due to his salsa dancing gimmick... except you find out later that his gimmick wasn't meant so much to be (exclusively) a dancer as a partygoing reveler. In that way, his gimmick edges much closer to that of Wrestling/AdamRose - minus the weird cadre of costumed followers.
* FunPersonified: Is always smiling, dancing, and having a good time.
* [[LifeOfTheParty Life of the Fiesta:]] His ring gear even says "Fiesta" on it.
* LightningBruiser: He's very agile and fluid, as one would expect of a DanceBattler. He's also 245 pounds.
* MegatonPunch: Employs something of a pop-up KO punch in his arsenal. Think [[Wrestling/ClaudioCastagnoli Cesaro]] [[XMeetsY meets]] Wrestling/BigShow.

!!! Wrestling/BillieKay (Jessica [=McKay=])

!!! Oney Lorcan (Christopher Girard)
* FaceOfAThug: Has one of the nastiest looking scowls in WWE.
* GlassCannon: Relatively small in stature but can hit very hard.
* {{Kiai}}: Usually followed with a ''vicious'' elbow.

!!! Dan Matha
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: After several weeks of hype, he debuted on NXT only to get the crap kicked out of him by a rampaging Wrestling/SamoaJoe, and hasn't been seen since.
* {{Expy}}: From a background standpoint, Baron Corbin. Both men are about the same size, and both have the similar background of being fringe offensive linemen in the NFL before wrestling.
* IdenticalStranger: Take Simon Miller from WebVideo/WhatCultureWrestling, make him bigger (and Simon's already not a small lad) and you've basically got Dan Matha.
* NegatedMomentOfAwesome: Whether or not it would've actually been "awesome" is anyone's guess - but NXT spent a good month or two airing vignettes hyping up his debut and having the commentary team put him over. When the day finally came, he came out to the ring only to [[CurbStompBattle get his ass kicked]] by Wrestling/SamoaJoe before whatever opponent he would have had could show up. [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse He hasn't been seen on the show since.]]

!!! Nick Miller (Michael "Mikey" Nicholls)
* CatchPhrase: "We are the mighty, and the mighty don't kneel." Ported over from TM-61's time together in Australia, where their tag team was actually called "The Mighty Don't Kneel" (TMDK for short).
* LandDownUnder: He and Shane are from Australia
* TagTeam: With Shane Thorne as [=TM-61=], a combination of their last initials and Australia's country code.
** GeniusBonus: No way of telling if this was intentional or not, but typing "TM-61" into TheOtherWiki leads you [[ here.]]

!!! Ember Moon (Adrienne Reese)
* AwesomeButImpractical: Her diving stunner finishing move. It's an amazing move that definitely shows how athletic Ember is, but its difficulty makes it very easy to botch and could potentially cause tailbone fractures.
* AmazonianBeauty: She's very thick and muscular.
* DarkIsNotEvil: There's definitely a 'darkness' to her character - she doesn't really say a lot, often wears masks and hoods to the ring, and [[RedEyesTakeWarning has piercing, red eyes]]... she's been booked very heroically since the jump, though, including aiding Liv Morgan and Aliyah against Billie Kay and Peyton Royce who had been bullying them.
* IdenticalStranger: She looks a lot like Wrestling/{{Naomi}}.
* IHaveTheHighGround: Her finisher involves her doing a stunner from the top rope.
* MultiColoredHair: Her long black hair has blonde tips.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: She's one of the shortest females on the roster, but her athletisism and power are impressive.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has recently taken to wearing bright red contacts to the ring. [[NightmareFuel It's as unnerving as it sounds.]]

!!! Liv Morgan (Gionna Daddio)
* BigEater: She talks about food a lot on social media.
* CurbStompBattle: Tapped out to Asuka in a matter of seconds.
* DarkSkinnedBlonde: She's pretty tan.
* DistaffCounterpart: To [[Wrestling/EnzoAndCass Enzo Amore]], as they both come from the same Bergen County area and have similar appearances and mannerisms. The two are also seen interacting a lot on social media posts.
* FearlessFool: She called out Asuka, knowing full well she will likely get her ass kicked ([[EpicFail which she did]]), but wanted the opportunity anyway.
* GenkiGirl: She has lots of energy in her entrance.
* HiddenDepths: Although she's a tough NJ brawler type, she shows off some impressive athleticism and flexibility - using a few Matrix dodges and handsprings to set up moves.
* {{Jobber}}: Served as one a few times before her official television debut. You can count the matches she has won on one finger.
* {{Joisey}}: She is a proud New Jerseyan who has her area code of 201 (she is from Elmwood Park in Bergen County) featured prominently in her Titantron video and on her clothing. This is the same area code that gave us fellow Joisey-stereotype Enzo Amore and former female star AJ Lee (who are from Hackensack, also Bergen, and Union City, Hudson, respectively).
* KickChick: She got her first win with a roundhouse kick to Aliyah.
* PluckyGirl: She's got a lot of heart to fight, even if it doesn't translate into immediate victories.
* PunnyName: A few puns have been made using her first name like "Liv Life" and "Living Large", or her Twitter handle [=@YaOnlyLivvOnce=].
* SheFu: As noted above, there's a few Matrixes, cartwheels and handsprings in there. She's a former competitive cheerleader.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: There are many similarities between her and Wrestling/{{Carmella}}. They're both urban {{Dark Skinned Blonde}}s who wear similar outfits and a TomboyishBaseballCap in their entrance and both hail from the New England area, Carmella from Staten Island[[note]]at least in Kayfabe, Leah Van Dale is actually from Massachusetts[[/note]] and Liv from New Jersey. Behind the scenes Liv seems pretty cozy with Enzo Amore while Carmella is confirmed to be dating Big Cass. It also doesn't help that like Mandy Rose (see below), she made her official debut right after Carmella was called up to the main roster, leaving her bordering on being a ReplacementScrappy to some. The main difference between the two is that Carmella was a Girly Girl despite the cap whereas Liv is more tomboyish.
* TomboyishBaseballCap: She wears one to the ring.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She's a LadEtte who's also a beautiful blonde and former cheerleader.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Pizza, judging by her social media.

!!! Buddy Murphy (Matthew Adams)
* BashBrothers: With Blake.
* LandDownUnder: From Melbourne. (One has to wonder how an Australian wound up with a name [or nickname] like Buddy, though.)
* LastNameBasis: Blake and Murphy started being billed this way ever since winning the Tag Team Titles up until they split. His canonical first name Buddy was almost never used in that time.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Wesley Blake, before the following trope kicked in…
* TookALevelInBadass: He and Blake went from jobbers to the Tag Team Champions in ''two weeks''.
** LevelGrinding: A very low-key version preceded their seemingly sudden level-up, as they went from just straight jobbers to TheWorfBarrage-style competitive jobbers to breaking through the plateau and actually beating other teams.
* TwoGuysAndAGirl: With Wesley Blake and Alexa Bliss.
* WildCard: By the time they began to solidify themselves as heels, Blake and Murphy were already solidified as the tag champs.
* TheWorfBarrage: For while Murphy and Blake got to the point where they could hang with a top NXT tag team and give good matches but could never actually get the job done. Then 2015 happened.

!!! Wrestling/ShinsukeNakamura

!!![[Wrestling/ChrisHero Kassius Ohno]] (Chris Spradlin)

!!! Rezar (Gzim Selmani)
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He and Akam came out after Wrestling/AmericanAlpha lost the NXT tag titles back to The Revival and utterly destroyed the ex-champions before being called to the back by legendary manager [[Wrestling/LegionOfDoom Paul Ellering]].
* LightningBruiser: A 330-pound monster whose tandem offense with Akam is surprisingly fast and appropriately painful.
* SpiritualSuccessor TagTeam: In the same vein as old school big vicious bruiser tandems such as the Powers of Pain, Faces of Fear, Legion of Doom, etc., he and Akam are known as the [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Authors of Pain]]. Given that the Legion of Doom's former manager is now guiding the Authors, this is most likely on purpose.
* ThemeNaming: The philosophical principle of ''Occam's '''razor''''' goes that among competing hypotheses, select the simplest one with the least assumptions. What Akam and Rezar are here to do needs no assumptions made.

!!! Wrestling/BobbyRoode (Robert Roode)

!!! Mandy Rose (Amanda Saccomanno)
* AmazonianBeauty: She's a former bodybuilder and fitness model.
* DarkSkinnedBlonde: By way of tanning.
* IdenticalStranger: She bears more than a passing resemblance to Wrestling/TrishStratus, particularly during Trish's early years when she was more bulky. Both were also fitness models before becoming wrestlers.
* KickChick: One of her {{Signature Move}}s is a running bicycle kick, though it looks more like a knee strike than a kick.
* SpiritualSuccessor: More than a few fans have called her "a better version of Wrestling/EvaMarie." Both women are former models who came into WWE through reality shows (Eva through ''Series/TotalDivas'', Mandy through ''Wrestling/WWEToughEnough''). The reason why Mandy is the "better" version is because, unlike Eva, who was put on the main roster almost immediately with minimal training and subsequently became [[TheScrappy one of the most hated wrestlers in the company]], she spent a year training and working NXT house shows before her TV debut and her ring work is passable. The fact that she and Eva were quite friendly with each other on ''Total Divas'', she debuted shortly after Eva was called up and Corey Graves' first reaction to her only heightens the comparison.
-->'''Corey Graves:''' I'll tell you what, at this point Mandy Rose is runner up to only one thing in my life: Eva Marie. Beyond that, that's it.\\
'''Tom Phillips:''' [[OhNoNotAgain Oh no.]]
* TheRunnerUpTakesItAll: Mandy was the female runner-up on the 2015 version of ''Tough Enough''. The winner, Sara Lee, was released before she could appear on TV.

!!! Peyton Royce (Cassie [=McIntosh=])
* AmazonianBeauty: Mostly in the abs.
* BetaBitch: To Billie Kay.
* DanceBattler: Her graceful movements give away that she was a dancer before becoming a wrestler.
* FlowerInHerHair: Flowers have recently become a part of her [[FlowerMotif motif.]]
* GreenAndMean: She's taken to wearing green attires and she definitely has an attitude.
* IdenticalStranger: Very similar to Eva Marie in the face and body.
* {{Jobber}}: Was initially this under her real first name Cassie, but she's picked up a few wins since then.
* KickChick: Depending on how much offense she gets in, it's possible for her to go through a match doing nothing but kicks.
* KickTheDog: She and Billie taunted Liv Morgan following a CurbStompBattle she suffered at the hands of Asuka.
* LandDownUnder: Where she and Billie both grew up, attended the same high school, as well as first trained together.
* RedBaron: "The Venus Flytrap of NXT"
* RedheadInGreen: Well, more of a burgundy shade.
* SuplexFinisher: She's been using a Fisherman's Suplex as of late.
* WholeCostumeReference: The overall motif seems to be a reference of some portrayals of [[ComicBook/{{Batman}} Poison Ivy.]]

!!! Elias Samson (Logan Shulo)
* TheDrifter: It's his entire gimmick, even down to being his RedBaron.
* IAmSong: In [[ this video]], he sings about the NXT title history and ends it by singing on how he will be the next champion.
* IdenticalStranger: Bears a passing resemblance to a young Wrestling/RandySavage.
* {{Irony}}: The post-Takeover episode in Brooklyn had Bull Dempsey completing his repackaging by beating Samson in his new gimmick's infancy. Four months later, the post-Takeover episode in London had Samson completing his repackaging by decisively toppling Dempsey.
* TheStoic: Not particularly expressive unless he's either singing and playing his guitar or beating on an opponent.
* TookALevelInBadass: Was initially still a {{jobber}} in the Drifter gimmick's early stages.

!!! Wrestling/RoderickStrong (Christopher Lindsey)

!!! Shane Thorne (Shane Veryzer)
* CatchPhrase: "We are the mighty, and the mighty don't kneel." Ported over from TM-61's time together in Australia, where their tag team was actually called "The Mighty Don't Kneel" (TMDK for short).
* LandDownUnder: Both he and Nick are from Australia.
* TagTeam: With Nick Miller as [=TM-61=]. Officially the name comes from their last initials and Australia's country code, but…
** GeniusBonus: Typing "TM-61" into TheOtherWiki leads you [[ here.]] No way of telling if this was on purpose or not, though.

!!! Dash Wilder (Daniel Wheeler)
* DeepSouth: He's from Old Fort, North Carolina, he's one-half of a hard-working, dirt and grime, smash-mouth tag team originally called the Mechanics, now the Revival, and he's got a Southern metal anthem called "Southern Proud" for a theme song; yep, he qualifies.
* FlawExploitation: His bio states he had to do this in order to survive up in the mountains of his hometown. Shown extensively during points in certain matches, such as crawling underneath across the ring to stop a hot tag from the other side during the Revival's tag team title defense against American Alpha at [=TakeOver=]: Dallas. (On that occasion it wasn't enough, as he and Dawson botched their finisher moments later and wound up losing their titles in the end, but it was still a notable stroke of brilliance on Dash's part.)
* IdenticalStranger: He and Wrestling/SamiZayn look like they could be brothers.
* TookALevelInBadass: Both he and Dawson went through this and both went from barely being on TV let alone winning a match to after an upset victory over Enzo and Cass, becoming a major threat in the tag team division. Took a further level when he and Dawson dominated the Vaudevillians to win the tag team titles. Nowadays they're crafting a resume as expert heels in highly-acclaimed top notch matches against teams like Wrestling/AmericanAlpha, Gargano & Ciampa, and TM-61.

* BigBad: As the leader of [=SAnitY=].
* CanadaEh: Young has a [[WearingAFlagOnYourHead Canadian flag patch on his jacket]].
* CardCarryingVillain: Even in his one appearance as a good guy he would still acknowledging himself as a maniac.
* EvilSoundsRaspy: If you can imagine the voice of Wrestling/RandySavage who's swallowed a Wrestling/MickFoley[=-=]sized bag full of rusty thumbtacks, you'll probably have a good idea of what it sounds like when Eric Young talks.
* FinishingMove: A wheelbarrow elevated neckbreaker referred to as Youngblood.
* MultinationalTeam: [=SAnitY=] originally featured Young (Canadian), Alexander Wolfe (German), Nikki Cross (Scottish), and American Sawyer Fulton. After a few weeks, Fulton was removed from the group due to a real life injury. He was replaced by Killian Dain, who is Irish.
* RedBaron: The World Class Maniac.
* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: Was a {{face}} [[ALighterShadeOfBlack by attrition]] in his only NXT appearance prior to leading [=SAnitY=], making a surprise challenge to the vicious and arrogant NXT Champion Samoa Joe.

!!! Tino Sabatelli (Sabatino Piscitelli)
!!! Brennan Williams

!!! Deonna Purazzo
* {{Determinator}}: As the commentators put it, she gets her ass kicked pillar to post, but each time she shows up she looks just a little bit better.

!!! Wrestling/TheaTrinidad (Thea Megan Trinidad)
