King County, Georgia Survivors
Hannah
Portrayed by: Lilli Birdsell & Melissa Cowan
Hannah lives in King County with her kids Jamie and Billy, and is divorced from Andrew. She gets killed attempting to get her kids to an evacuation zone, sacrificing herself so they could escape. Her zombiefied form is later found by Rick and killed.
- All There in the Manual: The webisodes are dedicated to showing how she became the bicycle girl zombie.
- An Axe to Grind: How she dispatches walker!Judy.
- And Then Hannah Was A Zombie
- Ascended Extra: Got turned from just being a very notable walker in the first episode to the protagonist of a six part webisode series.
- Doomed by Canon: The webisodes were advertising that Hannah would become the bicycle girl walker, so that made this a given.
- Eaten Alive: Allows herself to be eaten so that her children have a chance to escape while the walkers are distracted.
- Half The Woman She Used To Be: The walkers eat so much of her that the only thing left to reanimate is her top half.
- Heroic Suicide: After getting bitten, she stays behind to let the walkers eat her while her kids escape.
Andrew
Portrayed by: Rick Otto
Hannah's ex-husband, he married Judy after the divorce and gets custody of Jamie and Billy on weekends. He works to keep his family alive during the inital days of the outbreak, but gets eaten by a neighbors kids while looking for car keys.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- Eaten Alive: By his neighbors kids after he failed to put them down earlier.
- Shoot the Dog: Literally: his dog gets attacked by a walker so he shoots it to put it out of its misery.
- Too Dumb to Live: Walking alone, without a flashlight, into a dark basement, during a Zombie Apocalypse. The crunch followed by the scream was no surprise.
- Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Not even a zombiefied kid: this comes back to bite him in the ass when he gets eaten by Palmer's kids, who he had decided not to shoot earlier after Palmer asked him to.
Judy
Portrayed by: Danielle Burgio
Andrew's second wife. She gets bitten after trying to give CPR to a dead girl.
- Being Good Sucks: Tires to give CPR to an injured women and gets a little zombie mouth-to-mouth for her trouble.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: She sees a woman, seemingly unconscious, laying on the street and attempts to perform mouth-to-mouth CPR on her. Unfortunately, the woman turns into a walker during this which leads to her being bitten on the tongue.
- And Then Judy Was A Zombie: Hannah eventually puts her down with an axe.
- Zombie Infectee: Briefly, after being bitten in the mouth.
Jamie
Portrayed by: Madison Leisle
Hannah and Andrew's daughter. Hannah entrusts Billy's safety to her at the end of the webisodes.
Billy
Portrayed by: Griffin Cleveland
Hannah and Andrew's son, and the younger brother to Jamie.
Mike Palmer
Portrayed by: Rex Maynard Linn
Palmer is Andrew's neighbor, and was celebrating his 50th birthday with his family when walkers attacks. His kids and wife were bitten and turned, and he was forced to kill his wife, but could not bring himself to put down his kids. He was also bitten in the process, and had Andrew kill him in exchange for his guns.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- Conspiracy Theorist: He thinks that terrorists are behind the walkers, figuring they "found a way to blow us away without bombs".
- Kill The Ones You Love: Is forced to do this to his wife; he can't bring himself to do it for his kids.
- Zombie Infectee: Gets bitten by his wife while putting her down and has Andrew put him out of his misery in exchange for his guns.
Atlanta Survivors
Chase
Portrayed by: Josh Stewart
The protagonist of the "Cold Storage" webisodes, Chase is a survivor attempting to reach Cynthiana, Kentucky, where his sister is part of a group that is planning on leaving for Washington D.C.
- Action Survivor: He's clearly not used to fighting to survive, but he manages to dispatch a few walkers and save Kelly while taking down B.J.'s personel storage kingdom.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- Hero of Another Story: The webisodes show the beginning of his escape from Atlanta and journey to Cynthiana.
Harris
Portrayed by: Christopher Allen Nelson
A friend of Chase, and is heading with him to Cynthiana.
Gets bitten at the end of part one, and Chase dispatches his walker form in part four.
B.J.
Portrayed by: Daniel Roebuck
The last living employee of a storage facility, he offers Chase a truck in exchange for his help in restarting a generator.
He killed most of his fellow employees, keeping Kelly alive to rape.
- Badass: Not only has he managed to survive the walkers on his own, but he's even taken down several other survivors with ease.
- Beard of Evil: Chase should have realized he was bad news when he saw the classical villain goatee.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- Crazy Survivalist: He's clearly come slightly unhinged by the Zombie Apocalypse, and the revelation that he killed all of his coworkers save the one he is raping proves it.
- False Friend: He acts cheerful and friendly towards Chase after their initally hostile introduction, promising to give him a truck if he helps restore power. Once he has no more use for Chase he shoots him in the head and leaves him for dead.
- Fate Worse Than Death: Ends up as a reanimated zombie head after Kelly decapitates him.
- Jerkass: He laughs at security footage of people being Eaten Alive while trying to get into the storage facility and get their stuff. And then there is what he did to Kelly...
- Off with His Head!: How Kelly kills him with a machete.
- Only Known by Initials: He introduces himself as B.J. to Chase and never mentions what they stand for.
- Too Dumb to Live: Turns out turning your back on the woman you repeatedly raped while she is holding a machete is a bad idea.
- Weapon of Choice: A Smith & Wesson Model 29 as his handgun and a M16 as his rifle, which Chase steals after B.J. leaves him for dead.
Kelly
Portrayed by: Cerina Vincent
A coworker of B.J.'s, she called in sick the day the
Zombie Apocalypse started.
She is really being kept by B.J. in a storage room, where he rapes her repeatedly. Chase rescues her and after killing B.J., they escape.
