She's also a GirlyBruiser who kicks a lot of butt.

** In the episode "Three Girls and a Monster," Bubbles gets rid of the MonsterOfTheDay by simply asking it to leave.

** In "A Very Special Blossom" she steals golf clubs to give to Professor, and she did it not only to make the Professor happy, but she also did it to get attention from him all to herself.

* AlphabeticalThemeNaming: All 3 girls (plus Bullet, Bunny and Bliss) have names that start with a B and have double consonant. Notably Princess' name starts with a P and her double consonant is at the end instead of the middle of her name, she's the only Powerpuff esque character never to be acknowledged as part of the team or kept Chemical X powers. Lampshaded in the movie where the Professor reveals that the reason why he named Buttercup that name is because it starts with a B.

** Best examplified in the ending theme:

* ColorCodedCharacters: Blossom's color is pink, Bubbles' color is blue, and Buttercup's color is green.

* CompetitiveBalance: In most video games Blossom is JackOfAllStats, Bubbles is faster but weaker, and Buttercup is [[MightyGlacier slower but stronger]]. This is occasionally alluded to in show, such as Bubbles doing the speed test and Buttercup the strength test when they wanted to join the Justice Friends. But all of their powers are roughly equal depending on who's trying the hardest. Bubbles has been shown to outfight Buttercup and Buttercup has won races between the three.

** In the Polish dub, the are Bójka (Blossom), Bajka (Bubbles), and Brawurka (Buttercup).

* FingerlessHands: The former TropeNamer. Lampshaded when they accidentally switch bodies with the Professor, Mayor, and Miss Bellum: Buttercup (as the Professor) attempts to pick up the hotline by basically karate-chopping the air next to it, complaining that "your hand doesn't work!" when this accomplishes nothing. However, there are a few episodes out there that subvert this -- Blossom does a finger-snap in "Powerpuff Bluff" after figuring out who the impostor Powerpuffs were, and there is one episode that shows that the girls are able to play rock-paper-scissors with each other.

* FourTemperamentEnsemble:The four main characters:
** Bubbles (sanguine), hyperactive, ditzy and "the joy and the laughter".
** Buttercup (choleric), short-tempered, rebellious and "the toughest fighter".
** Blossom (melancholic), the intellectual, mature and responsible "commander and the leader".

* FreudianTrio: Blossom (Superego--she is obsessed with rules and the most likely to respect authority figures simply for having authority), Bubbles (Ego--kind and sweetly mediator often swayed by either Buttercup or Blossom), Buttercup (Id--Short-tempered and impulsive to the point of being destructive)

* TheHecateSisters: Blossom is the Mother, being the mature, practical and responsible leader who has to keep her sisters from going overboard. Bubbles is the Maiden, having the most carefree, youthful and innocent attitude of the three. Buttercup is the Crone, acting as a brash, grumpy and sardonic but nevertheless loyal follower to Blossom.

* MsViceGirl: All three of them have this in some way, shape or form. Sometimes they are more weaknesses than vices, however.

* PintSizedKid: They are 5 year old girls and they are pint sized.

* LethallyStupid: They act like this in the Movie. While playing tag, they accidentally cause ''massive'' damage to the school and Townsville, which caused them to get shunned and hated, [[spoiler: until the ending that is.]]

* PintSizedPowerhouse: They are short, but they can lift a lot more than people twice their height can, plus they face down villains, monsters and what's basically ''Satan'' on a regular basis.

* TragicHero: They have a quite Tragic and Sympathetic origin, In "The Powerpuff Girls Movie" when the girls were just created/born they recklessly and unintentionally destroyed the city playing tag, that all the citizens of Townsville were bitter towards them, that the girls got depressed and wanted to get the trust of the city, and in the end by stopping Mojo Jojo's evil plans, the city finally accepted them, and the girls felt better and decided to fight crime in the city of Townsville.

* LikeParentLikeChild: Out of the three girls, she is the one's who's personality is closest to the Professor. They are both very intelligent, educated and try to use logic to solve most of their problems.

* NerdyNasalness: In both the original series and the reboot, she has a slightly nasally voice compared to her sisters, and she's the smart and analytical leader of the trio.

* NiceGirl: Despite her [[InsufferableGenius flaws]], she is a generally good person who only wants to do the right thing.

* ShipTease: Despite being enemies, "The City of Clipsville" has a teenage Blossom having feelings for a teenage Brick, who feels the same way.

* {{Determinator}}: This is shown very well in the episode "The Boys Are Back In Town" when she refuses to give up against the boys, even though she was obviously outmatched.

** Played straight a the original in "The Mane Event". She fled from the scene during a fight with a monster, only worried about her pride more than the fate of the town upon finding out that she [[TraumaticHaircut had a bad haircut]], which led to the town nearly being destroyed. Eventually subverted, as she does come back to help her sisters at the last minute.

* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Blossom isn't as girly as [[GirlyGirl Bubbles]], but she's into fashion, tends to be [[{{Pride}} pretty vain]], and has the most feminine appearance out of the girls: a [[PinkIsFeminine pink dress]], a big bow on the top of her head, and has the [[LongHairIsFeminine longest hair]] of the girls, something Blossom was so [[ProudBeauty proud]] of that Bubbles and Buttercup gave her a TraumaticHaircut out of [[GreenEyedMonster jealousy]]. * ItsAllAboutMe: Justified since she's only 5. She dips into this behavior sometimes; in her version of events in "The Bare Facts", the story is solely centered around her, and she only grudgingly adds, "Oh, Buttercup and Bubbles were there too, I guess," when they protest this. Bubbles calls her out on it in "A Star Is Blossom".
