The last human alive, and officially one of the caretakers of the weapons storehouse. He develops a life similar to that of 500 years ago, caring for children, before realizing that the children are weapons. He strives to prevent the deaths of the children by teaching them the correct way of using their dug weapons.

* AccidentalPervert: The first time it happened both him and Chtholly are the offenders, where the montage of their first meeting includes walking in on an AmbiguousGender Frogger in the bath. Then it was with Phyra (see her BerserkButton below), though no one could really fault him with this one since he didn't have any clue why she was offended in the first place until she explained. The third time was [[spoiler: him unintentionally touching the now conscious Elq's chest in the fifth volume.]]
* TheAce: Among the Quasi-Braves. In his pursuit to become a full Brave, Willem mastered various arts and techniques, including weapon maintenance, which allowed him to stand in the front lines of battle. He is definitely seen as this by the army in the present, even if he can't fight at his fullest anymore.
** BrokenAce: Of course, no matter how hard he trained, his efforts were always never enough to become a full Regal Brave like he's always wanted. That, and there's his SurvivorsGuilt of being the only human left when all his old friends and previous family died many, many years beforehand...
* AdaptationalHeroism: Downplayed example in that while both his LN and anime incarnations retain his essential kind and heroic nature, the anime toned down some of his crasser moments to make him less of a {{Jerkass}} than his light novel self who had way less tact than his anime counterpart.
* AlmightyJanitor:
** Though skilled and powerful from what amounts to be the level-grinding he did to be where he was back when he was still in his prime, Willem's rank as a Quasi-Brave means he is of significantly lower standing compared to the supposedly more monstrous Regal Braves when the humans still flourished the lands. Considering how strong Willem is in the present even though he's a DentedIron incapable of using his Venenum for a few minutes lest it risks killing him, it says a lot about how powerful the emnetwihts were back in the day.
** Also his current job as co-caretaker of the Warehouse. As Technical Officer, he doesn't actually have any true ranking in the military, and all his job amounts to is just for the Guardian Wings Military to have a representative at the facility (per an agreement between the Guard and the Orlandri Federation). Souwong lampshades this that with the skills that Willem has, they are not going to be put to any use at the Warehouse.
* AlwaysABiggerFish: [[spoiler:Elpis unleashed a wave of Aurora on Island 11 for a "demonstration" of their weapons. Unfortunately for them, a much more powerful Beast, Shiantor (a.k.a. ''Willem''), is in the city as well, making short work of Elpis' weapons.]]
* AndIMustScream: The petrification that he undergoes after defeating Ebon Candle took longer than Willem thought (that, and Willem is getting petrified from the feet up), and he even had to strike up an awkward conversation with Ebo while it's still taking effect. In the end Ebo has succumbed to his injuries faster than Willem's own petrification, to his mild annoyance.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: [[spoiler: He starts turning into a Beast at the end of volume 4.]]
* AngerBornOfWorry: He gets angry at Chtholly for using venenum to save Almita from falling from the 2nd floor, because he knows that doing so would only further deteriorate Chtholly's mental state.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: His request to the Sage is for Chtholly to retire from the front lines (excusing it as "research" on Willem's part) and to raise the Warehouse's grocery budget. The second bit was excised from the anime.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Amusingly, in spite of Willem growing up in a medieval fantasy setting, he was under the belief that trolls are merely mythical creatures ''until'' he meets one in person. That person being Nygglatho in the ''present day''.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: In the past his primary goal was to become a regal brave. [[spoiler: He gets his wish at the end of the light novels. All it took was the loss of nearly everyone he cared about and the sacrifice of his own future for the sake of others.]]
* BerserkButton: Getting MistakenForPedophile.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Both in the past and in the present. Being the eldest person both times probably helps.
* BishonenLine: [[spoiler:By the series epilogue, Willem is apparently able to completely control his Beast side, allowing him to return home to the Warehouse without endangering anyone. That he doesn't raise any alarms (and Nygglatho recognizes him in their reunion) also implies that he kept his human form.]]
* BoringButPractical: His ability to tune swords is nowhere near as exciting as some of the abilities his former comrades possessed. In the present day, however, it’s an invaluable skill with the potential to turn the tide of the war against the Beasts.
* BrainBleach: Apparently, seeing the contents of a Reptrace lunchbox causes him to nearly throw up.
* BrickJoke: Gets crushed underneath Chtholly during their first meeting when he tries to break her fall and Pannibal who was trying to assault him on two separate occasions. Internally, Chtholly hopes Willem is [[{{Fetish}} not into that sort of thing]]. [[spoiler:The novel ends with Willem saving Ryehl in a manner that mirrors ''both'' of his first encounters with the two girls.]]
* CartwrightCurse: He’s a walking example of this trope. In the past he had some major ShipTease with [[RedHairedHeroine Lillia]] and [[ChildhoodFriends Almaria]]. Unfortunately, [[spoiler: Lillia is turned into a brain dead husk by Elq’s MindRape while Almaria transforms into an EldritchAbomination that Willem is forced to personally kill. He tries to avert this with Chtholly only to watch helplessly as she sacrifices her life in order to save his. Even a female adventurer that develops a crush on him in Volume 4 ends up dying horribly.]]
* CassandraTruth:
** Both Nygglatho and Limeskin have difficulty believing that Willem is friends with the Great Sage.
** When a fellow Plantagenista crew member cautioned him about laying his hands on a Dug Weapon, Willem assures him that he knows what he's doing, because he ''is'' an Emnetwiht. The crew member doesn't believe him, and thinks Willem is just being delusional.
* ChangeTheUncomfortableSubject: When Lakhesh starts treating Willem like he's an actual father to her and her sisters, Willem was flattered. But then she started wondering who she would call her mother, Willem completely ignores the rest of her words (in the anime, he softly pushes Lakesh out of the kitchen), just as she mentions Nyglattho and Chtholly...
** It also happens happens when he’s describing the different kinds of barrier worlds created by demons to Nephren. He almost ends up telling her about the time he was captured by a succubus, before realizing that particular story wasn’t exactly PG. He quickly changes the subject much to [[CovertPervert Nephren’s]] dismay.
* ChickMagnet: Has more than his fair share of female admirers in both the past and present. Unlike most examples of this trope he is perfectly aware of this.
* ChildrenRaiseYou: He spent his time after being resurrected having SurvivorsGuilt with nary a care what he wants to do with the rest of his life. It was upon meeting the Fairies and becoming their "father" that Willem finds a new purpose.
* CrazyJealousGuy: One way to interpret his hostility towards Ted's infatuation with Almaria.
* CosmicPlaything: The guy has tragedy following him at every turn.
* CoveredInScars: His body still carries the marks of injuries he sustained back when he still fought as a Quasi-Brave in the front lines.
* CovertPervert: Downplayed, in that it doesn't crop up much. When seeing a statue of Règles Aile's Great Sage [[spoiler:that Willem may or may not have recognized yet as his old friend Souwong]] he mentions that he can't appreciate statues of men; women, on the other hand, are another story. In the anime he pretends to invoke the image of a molester when asking Chtholly if she needed more of his "special massage". And then there's Chtholly (Ren in the anime) sensing that there are naughty thoughts coming from Willem's head when hearing Rhan's suggestive moans while being massaged. The novels also have a dream Willem had where he was invited to a drinking session with the Emperor, Nils and Navrutri, who are all showing off their respective romantic misadventures; after one drink Willem started bragging about his own experiences, dropping several girls' names before finally waking up.
* CreateYourOwnVillain: [[spoiler: He invokes this trope on himself near the end of the light novel. By unleashing his beast side and attacking the Leprechauns he allowed them regain their purpose as the guardians of Règles Aile by defeating him. This foiled the plans of the group that was planning to dismantle the Warehouse and seize the fairies there.]]
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Due to his injuries he is unable to use any of his old abilities without putting himself at serious risk of death. [[spoiler: This also happens when he taps into his Beast side, as accessing those powers causes him to succumb to his bestial instincts within minutes.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Was a former Quasi-Brave who couldn’t become a full Brave. That, and the fact that his adopted family from his previous life as well as the rest of the human race are now dead in spite of his promise of returning to them...
* DeadManWalking The extent of his injuries in the past before being frozen in time should be enough for him to literally die, but he keeps going. [[spoiler: His likelihood of dying increases whenever he tries to exert himself in battle]].
* DeadpanSnarker: He makes witty remarks sometimes with a straight face on the whole time.
* DeathSeeker: Chtholly surmises that the reason he's itching for a fight whenever the opportunity rises is because he's this. He later admits that she was right and that [[spoiler: he was intentionally trying to get himself killed during the battle on the Plantagenista]].
* DeclarationOfProtection: Towards Chtholly, promising to make her happy for as long as he lived. [[spoiler: He fails.]] He also extends this to the rest of the girls in the Warehouse.
* DentedIron: While he was shown as a capable soldier in the past, in the present, the numerous injuries and curses Willem accumulated during the war against the Visitors back when the humans were still around have clearly taken their toll [[BloodFromTheMouth on his body]]. At most, he can only fight at about a maximum of a few minutes before collapsing.
* DespairEventHorizon: Goes through a massive one following [[spoiler: Chtholly’s death. He gets a bit better in volume 4 only to break once again when Almaria disappears and the beasts start destroying Gomag. It gets to the point where he’s openly musing about how nice it would be to be torn apart by beasts. By the end of the volume he’s come out of it, not due to any personal growth, but because he’s been possessed by an EldritchAbomination and can only feel joy at returning “home” to the ashen wastes.]]
* DespairSpeech: He gives one to Rhan, where he openly admits to being a FailureHero who could never save those closest to him.
* DetectEvil: Willem mentions that his training as a Quasi-Brave allowed him to feel any sense of malice around him.
* DidYouJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu: It’s unclear how, but [[spoiler: he somehow managed to open a dialogue with Shiantor; a reality warping EldritchAbomination whose thought process was so alien even a Visitor admitted that they couldn’t comprehend it. It probably helped that Willem was also a Beast by that point, or more accurately realized he was a Beast all along. At the very least he was able to understand the Beast’s anger at losing its former home, which no doubt gave them some common ground during their ten year discussion.]]
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Despite his lack of natural talent he managed to defeat Eboncandle through sheer tenacity. He lost most of his abilities as a result so this might also count as BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu. Still, this doesn’t stop him from [[spoiler: defeating Shiantor in volume 4 with nothing but an improvised dug weapon cobbled together with his maintenance skill. Also possibly subverted as the beast merely decides to use him as a host once he killed its previous one.]]
* DivingSave: Performs one on the final episode to save [[spoiler: Nephren]] from falling to her death.
* {{Expy}}:
** His relationships to the girls in the Warehouse becomes rather similar to that of [[VideoGame/{{Nier}} Papa Nier]], whilst his relationship with Chtholly resembles that of Brother Nier and Kaine. [[spoiler: His beast form, as well as the way said form is killed is also similar to the Shadowlord from the same game]].
** His physical appearance has also led to many people seeing a resemblance between him and [[Manga/SeraphOfTheEnd Guren Ichinose]].
** He shares many similarities with [[LightNovel/ReZero Wilhelm van Astrea]]. Their names and backgrounds sound almost identical. Both were talentless swordsmen who sought to surpass a RedHairedHeroine through sheer effort. The difference is Wilhelm succeeded with Theresa, while Willem failed with Lillia due to the war with the Visitors.
* FaceMonsterTurn: [[spoiler: After he awakens his Beast side he’s overcome with an intense desire to “cleanse” the planet of all non Beast life and restore the “beautiful ashen plains” of the primordial world.]]
* FailureHero: The loss of his family and comrades from 500 years ago clearly weigh on him in the present day.
* FingerGun[=/=]ThisBananaIsArmed: He brandishes a finger gun against the Annihilation Knights and appears to knock them out with it. In reality, the gesture was disguising the fact that he was flicking coins at his assailants with his other hand at high speed.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: He still obviously has some trouble adjusting to the present era after being frozen for 500 years.
** This is most obvious when it comes to culture and entertainment. Movies just confuse him, especially when all the actors are Lizardfolk, and he can never bring himself to enjoy the cinema. His confusion isn’t too surprising considering that the printing press was considered a recent invention back in his time.
* ForcedToWatch: [[spoiler:In the anime at least, Willem is completely conscious but his body has, by that point, succumbed from numerous injuries. Thus he can only lie on the ground and watch as Chtholly protects him and Nephren from the Timmere.]]
* FriendToAllChildren: Is great with kids, as shown with how he handles the little girls in the Warehouse in the present day and how much the kids from his orphanage in the past adored him. That saying, he's pretty bad when handling women who are around his age, as seen with his first meeting with Almaria in the light novels in a flashback.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: He truly was a nobody with no special traits to set him apart from your average human. Yet, through sheer force of effort he managed to become one of humanity’s strongest warriors and even defeated a literal god in a one on one fight.
* HappilyAdopted: A mutual case, where he takes the role of the Fairies' surrogate father at the same time that they started seeing him in a similar light.
* HeartbrokenBadass: First, he loses [[LikeBrotherAndSister Almaria]] and [[RedHeadedHeroine Lillia]] after he was petrified for more than five hundred years without ever getting to say goodbye to either of them. Then [[spoiler: he loses Chtholly, the very person he swore to protect and make happy, immediately after he declared that he would marry her only for her to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice herself to save both him and Nephren from the Timere, dying in the process]].]] Yeah, the guy has it rough.
* HeroicBSOD: His reaction to finding out [[spoiler: the truth about the 17 Beasts]].
* HeroicSuicide: [[spoiler: He tries to kill himself after he starts turning into a Beast. He eventually succeeds when he intentionally activates Seniorious’s death curse after he’s stabbed with the sword.]]
* AHeroToHisHometown: Willem was viewed as a legendary hero by his fellow humans 500 years ago. For other races, however, “heroes” like Willem were legendary monsters who committed countless atrocities. Even 500 years after the extinction of humanity stories are still told about the horrifying actions of the dreaded Emnetwiht. Due to this prejudice, Willem unsurprisingly decides to keep his identity secret from all but a few people after he’s unfrozen. [[spoiler: The [[SuicideByCop nature]] of his HeroicSacrifice at the end of the light novel also ensures that most of the public will remember him as a Beast who attacked Règles Aile; with only a few people knowing the true reason behind his actions]].
* HouseHusband: Essentially his job at the Warehouse. He, together with Nyglattho, takes care of the facility and all the fairies within, while waiting for the older fairy soldiers to come home.
* IChooseToStay:
** Both [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike Lillia and Nyglattho]] believe that if someone simply asked Willem to stay by their side, he would not turn them down.
** [[spoiler: At the end of the light novel he’s sealed away by Seniorious after merging with [[EldritchAbomination Shiantor]]. [[PhysicalGod Nils]] shows up in Willem’s new afterlife and offers to separate him from the beast, which would allow Willem to become a Visitor and leave the dying world behind. Willem politely declines, saying that his beast side was a part of his being that he couldn’t just abandon. He now understood that the Beasts were only trying to reclaim the home that they’d lost to the Visitors millennia ago. So rather than leave with Nils, he decides to use his new perspective to find a way to make peace with the 17 Beasts. The epilogue implies that he might have succeeded.]]
* IGotARock: For the snowfall festival in Episode 9, he receives a scrubbing brush from Phyracorlybia due to his treatment of her in Episode 5 (see BerserkButton in her section of this page for more details). On the other hand, the Leprechauns who accompanied him in that episode were given [[SheCleansUpNicely fine dresses]].
* ILetGwenStacyDie: His inability to save [[spoiler: Chtholly haunts him for the remainder of the series.]]
* ImaginaryLoveTriangle: Willem briefly thought that Chtholly seeing Nygglatho as competition for Willem's heart was merely in the younger girl's head, but when Nygglatho reveals she does see Willem in a romantic light, Willem responded [[SpitTake poorly]].
* ImagineSpot:
** He has a brief one in the novels about Chtholly hooking up with a Goblin, and ponders out loud that Grick may not be a bad choice. Nygglatho, who was discussing Willem's stance on romance, was not amused that he suddenly brought Grick up out of the blue.
** A darker one occurs in the anime where [[spoiler:because of his knowledge of the Beasts' true nature, he pictures the Timmere he's fighting as some random people from his past.]]
* InsecureLoveInterest: The reason he initially has trouble reciprocating Chtholly's feelings is that he thinks he doesn't deserve a girl like her.
* InterspeciesRomance: He falls in love with Chtholly, a leprechaun. Considering he’s the last living human, this trope is a given.
* IOweYouMyLife: The reason why he owes Grick money. Grick found him and depetrified him.
* ITakeOffenseToThatLastOne: Nyglattho once described him as a desperate and awkward father. Willem wants her to take back the first two descriptions, but not the father part.
* IUhYouToo: While there's no arguing that they are an OfficialCouple by that point, when Chtholly tells Willem that she doesn't want to wait for him at the Warehouse while he goes to the surface, she doesn't want to stay apart from him anymore so she joined the expedition. Willem actually tells her the exact same thing, and Chtholly had to double back and try to confirm that it's not a proposal.
* IWillWaitForYou: He extracts a promise from Chtholly to survive the battle on the 15th island. He nearly [[HeroicBSOD breaks down]] when [[spoiler:he learns that the Guardian Wings Military lost the battle, thinking Chtholly and the other Fairies did not survive (although they show up unharmed shortly afterward).]]
* JackOfAllStats: Mastered numerous abilities while he was a brave. However, his lack of talent prevented him from going as far as some of his comrades.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Has his caustic moments where he will outright refuse to help someone in desperate need even when they're begging him right to his face. But his heart is in the right place and he will usually end up helping them in the end anyway.
* KissOfDistraction: His kiss to Chtholly's forehead could also be a way to catch the latter off-guard so Willem can finally massage her.
* LastOfHisKind: Having been depetrified, Willem is the last surviving pure Emnetwiht.
* LetsGetDangerous: The Timere that attacked the cabin he and Chtholly were staying in on episode 11 [[CurbStompBattle should've seen it coming]] when Willem was pissed off...
* LoveConfession: [[spoiler: Gives an indirect one to Chtholly near the end of episode 10, asking her to marry him.]]
* LikesOlderWomen: When interviewed by the younger girls during his first night in the Warehouse, one of the questions involved his type of all things. Willem's answer spread like wildfire to the rest of the Warehouse, with the last person to hear about it apparently being Chtholly. This is the reason why Chtholly is convinced Nyglattho is competition for her.
* MadeOfIron: It’s a miracle he can even function after all the injuries he’s taken.
* TheMentor: Serves as this to Chtholly, Ithea, and Nephren in the ways of combat, teaching the girls how to wield and maintain their Carillons properly as well as some other techniques in combat, effectively making them better fighters in the battlefield than before.
* MismatchedEyes: [[spoiler: Gains a golden right eye after he absorbed Shiantor and reverted back to being a Beast himself.]]
* NiceGuy: For all his faults and blunt behavior, he's still this overall, a very selfless individual who dreamed of becoming a Brave because it would give him the power to save and protect people.
* NitroBoost: One of his abilities, which he calls "Demolishing Nightingale Dash", that allows him to quicken his movements. Notably, he has no qualms using it [[MundaneUtility just to]] embrace Chtholly by surprise after thinking she died during the battle for the 15th island.
* NoodleIncident:
** He apparently had a run-in with a succubus at some point in the past. The details are left up to the audience's imagination.
** According to Rhan, who wasn't at the Warehouse during Willem's tenure, a few new pointers (apart from the ones she already knows) have been added to the "Bathing Rules" merely because of Willem's presence.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace:
** Willem tells himself that, had he survived his battle with Ebon Candle, once he returns home he'll grab all the kids in the orphanage in a bear hug and cover them with kisses. They would call Willem creepy for it, but he wouldn't care.
** He tends to embrace Chtholly tightly whenever he breaks down. While Chtholly was usually flustered by these gestures (especially when one of those instances occurred in the middle of Guardian Wings Military's HQ with a sizable audience), the last time it happened she decided to wing it and hug him back.
* OnlyMostlyDead: [[spoiler: Due to merging with Shiantor he’s effectively immortal. Not even Seniorious can permanently kill him and he eventually recovers from his death-like state]].
* OvershadowedByAwesome: No matter how hard he trained he just couldn’t match his old comrades in certain departments. Ironically, some of his fellow braves saw him as a LivingLegend because of this lack of natural talent.
* PalsWithJesus: [[spoiler: He ends up looking after Elq in volume 5 after Nils seals his memories.]]
* PaperThinDisguise: Defied. In his first few days in the present, Willem once considered putting on fake animal ears, horns, etc. that would hide his status as a markless, let alone an Emnetwiht, but he discarded them because it only made him look silly.
* ParentalSubstitute: Originally to the orphans from his home 500 years ago, who also called him "Father", and now to the young Leprechauns/Fairies from the warehouse.
* ThePromise: Willem promised Almeria that he would return home to their orphanage after his battle with the Visitors, so in exchange, and to show her he was serious about it, he asks her to make him [[FoodAsBribe butter cake]] when he comes home. Needless to say, he wasn't able to keep it. Later, Chtholly makes him promise the same thing, albeit in reverse: ''he'' would make ''her'' butter cake after her battle with the Beasts during the events of episode 4. Unlike before however, both parties got to keep their promise this time.
* Really700YearsOld: Willem was turned to stone 500 years ago, due to the numerous curses he accumulated fighting a 'Guardian'.
* RedBaron: As a Quasi-Brave, he was known as the Black Agate Swordsmaster for his skills in combat.
* RefusalOfTheCall: The Sage wanted to enlist Willem on a mission to forcibly take back the surface from the Beasts, but Willem, who is no longer in any shape to fight, declines.
* RunningGag:
** According to other characters, Willem can make some strange expressions that would often scare them.
** In his internal monologues, he often makes a mental note to punch someone later for something they did. It's implied (especially with the end of Episode 5 of the anime) that he's followed through with those "promises".
** Willem will flick his fingers against the forehead of any of the girls in the Warehouse whenever they say something inappropriate. Not even Chtholly and Ithea are safe from this.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections: Invoked, where he believes the Great Sage would answer his request for Chtholly to retire and live a normal life from here on out, thinking that the Sage would like the idea of Willem being indebted to him again. The ones who actually heard this request, Limeskin and Nyglattho, were rather skeptical of Willem's relationship with the Sage. It's implied the Sage did comply with his request anyway, it's just that Chtholly chooses to use her newfound freedom by simply spending more time with Willem.
* SealedBadassInACan: [[spoiler: His not quite dead corpse was at some point sealed in a coffin-like container and shipped to a secret warehouse on Island 38, where Feodor eventually finds him.]]
* ShellShockedVeteran: The loss of everyone he once knew has left him an emotional wreck. Episode 4 implies that he has some sort of PTSD because of this.
* SkewedPriorities: Nygglatho accuses him of this after he removes a talisman from Seniorious, a legendary weapon, and planned to use it to prevent Collon from getting nightmares while she was suffering from a cold.
* SpannerInTheWorks: His presence in Corna di Luce completely ruins [[spoiler: the Elpis Mercantile Federation’s carefully crafted plan to seize the Warehouse.]] He even lampshades this. Ironically, [[spoiler: he wouldn’t even have been there if wasn’t for their overzealous salvage crews.]]
* SpiritAdvisor: [[spoiler: After Feodor makes contact with his corpse a visage of Willem starts to haunt the imp.]]
* SinkOrSwimMentor: [[spoiler: He doesn’t hold back in his final battle against the girls, even telling them that he planned on killing them if they lost. If they couldn’t defeat him, then the Warehouse would almost certainly be shut down. Death by his hands was infinitely preferable to what Elpis was planning on doing to them. He was dead serious too; as he didn’t hesitate to break Ithea’s spine with one of his attacks, permanently crippling her in the process.]]

* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: During his time on Island 38 he [[spoiler:sneaks into restricted areas, steals the most powerful dug weapon in the military's arsenal, and skips training in order to go buy donuts]].
* AwesomeButImpractical: His cursed eyes are pretty damn impressive when they actually work; allowing him to effectively bend the target to his will. Unfortunately, it only has a ten percent success rate and only works on races that are closely related to humans. Not to mention all the other myriad requirements for its successful use.
* BecomingTheMask: [[spoiler: Intitially he only wants to get close to the Leprechauns so that he can manipulate them into aiding his plans. However, he eventually comes to care for the girls and begins to focus his efforts on saving them.]]

It will also absorb anything that tries to attack it and once it starts absorbing someone, it won't let go. The only way to save someone is to amputate the trapped limb. Additionally, it also has trouble assimilating rock and other natural plant life.
