A ghoul who claims to be an indentured enforcer to the “Lord of Gallowmere” (he means Palethorn, but doesn’t give his master’s name) he challenges Voltaire on the road to Palethorn’s castle.

A death knight who is tasked with guarding the entrance to Palethorn’s castle, he challenges Voltaire to a Shadow Duel with special conditions.

A bestial aquatic creature called a cryptogon native to the waters of the Lower Planes, Palethorn keeps it in his dungeon to dispose of anyone he throws down there.

* NotAllowedToGrowUp: While this seemed to be Enforced in whatever place she came from, she ages as a normal human now, possibly a side effect of the transition.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: Zigzagged. She seems about four to six years older than the child she was in ''Franchise/{{Darkstalkers}}''. Still, she keeps the overall impression of a cute little girl, rather than an attractive teenager.

* ChristmasCake: Inverted; she had the ''opposite'' problem. As she tells Durwood, this it the reason most wrestling divas retire young, but in her case, due to a moon elf's longevity, her youthful looks and beauty simply lasted too long, and people started to get suspicious. To save face (and stop the rumors of cosmetic surgery going around) she let the greatest match of her career (with her greatest rival) also be her most humiliating defeat, and then retired (out of shame, in the storyline). She hopes to return to it someday, likely under a new identity.

* RichIdiotWithNoDayJob: As Dunstan tells him (after he complains about having nothing to do) Copek is practically paying him to watch television in the break room until they need his skills as a duelist-assassin. (And it's obvious Dunstan ''despises'' him for this and other reasons.)

* HornyDevils: Novolar. She initially attempts to seduce Dante before dealing with him the natural way.

* KnifeNut: His weapon of choice, but he has others, including twin Tommy guns that unfold out of his wrists and handheld rocket launchers that he can disassemble and store in his BadassLongcoat.

She claims her adoptive father (who was presumably somehow behind whatever method caused her mother to bear a genasi child) was a sorcerer with ''very'' unique and unpleasant views on child discipline. (The example she gives is him punishing her and her sister by [[BalefulPolymorph turning them into pigs]] for stealing cookies.) Although whether this is related to her current mental state or not is unknown.

During his duel with Jeb, Xon [[spoiler: summons Number 17: Leviathan Dragon that he pulled from an [[Anime/YuGiOhZexal alternate future timeline.]] Which is incredibly dangerous because he is bringing it out before its intended time. Because only a Number can defeat another Number, (the one exception Cyber Commander makes in his fics regarding the official rules) Unity-of-Rings lends to Jeb Number 39: Utopia only for the duel.]]

Just as dangerous as Joka, if not more so, B.B. Hood is a hired gun who looks like an adorable girl dressed as LittleRedRidingHood, her cute and adorable façade concealing a cold-blooded killer. While her motivations as yet are unknown, she seems to have once been a member of the League of Assassins (having forcefully quit, despite their [[ResignationsNotAccepted strict policy against members doing so]]) and now seems to be targeting Fanciullo's gang.

* JustBeYourself: Why she claims she's a hired gun; it's what she's ''good'' at.

* TakenForGranite: Her deck uses Gorgonic monsters, who do this to opposing monsters, but it seems like she only duels to lull a victim into a false sense of security.
