The male protagonist of the series. Tsukune is an all around average human until one day his father comes home with an application to a mysterious academy he found. Taking it as a sign from above, Tsukune's parents send him to Yokai Academy, which Tsukune learns is a school for monsters! Luckily Tsukune meets Moka Akashiya, his main love interest who coincidentally is a vampire! Along the way, he and Moka make new friends, mostly members of his unwanted harem, and try to survive in the dangerous school. Later in the series he develops vampiric powers thanks to blood injections from Moka. His new power is sealed by a Holy Lock, which keeps him from becoming a Ghoul. Even with this detriment though, Tsukune manages to take life one life-threatening attack from a monster at a time!
Beware the Nice Ones: after gaining Ghoul abilities midway into the first Manga. When he first became a Ghoul (before he gained the Holy Lock), he gave Inner Moka a hard time when she tried to subdue his rampage. (although granted she was still a bit weakened from the water sprinklers from a trap by a bad guy.) While the Holy Lock does keep his Ghoul powers subdued (which allows him to keep his sanity), it starts to slip through if he gets too pissed off, or takes too much damage. Later on, he starts learning how to access and control them.
Bishōnen: When tapping into his ghoul powers. After Art Evolution, his regular looks are tending a bit more towards this as well.
Body Horror: Moka's blood turned him into a ghoul. Later, in season II, he temporarily turns into This because of Tohofuhai's human modification procedure.
Chick Magnet: Lampshaded by Ginei, who doesn't understand why. To be fair, neither does he.
Though compared to most haremleads he has a much more appealing personality, which makes it easier to imagine girls being attracted to him.
During the manga's Beach Episode, while the girls cater to the male guests at Marin's hostel, Tsukune gets a fair amount of attention from the girls. It's the first time human girls have taken an interest in him.
Character Development: Tsukune starts the series as a somewhat stereotypical harem lead, but has developed into a rather confident appealing individual.
Class Representative: Elected in the first season (against his vehement protests). He's not especially smart or much of a stickler, and is never seen wielding any actual authority, but most of his class sees him as a reliable person, and he is an outspoken advocate for peace.
Dynamic Entry: Uses this on a guy who was threatening his harem with a gun (in this verse, guns can apparently kill monsters no matter how powerful they are).
Heroic BSOD: Suffers one after learning that the Outer Moka is a fake personality created by the Rosario in order to keep Moka's seal safe. End result? He begins to drift away into an inescapable sea of mental darkness.
Power Limiter: The rosary around his wrist, which keeps his Super Powered Evil Side in check. If he uses his powers too much, it begins to crack.
Psychotic Smirk: If you see him sporting one of these or a full-blown Slasher Smile, RUN LIKE HELL because it means his Ghoul powers have gone out of control.
Rapid Fire Fisticuffs: When taking on multiple opponents, his preference is to knock opponents out with quick, 'weak' blows.
Red Oni, Blue Oni: The "ao" in Aono means blue. Inner Moka would be red.
Shrouded in Myth: He's built up a reputation in the underworld for wiping out an entire branch of Fairy Tale, which was actually Gin and Haiji's doing. To be fair, he's still quite powerful.
The Southpaw: He wielded Belmont with his left hand, to counter the Holy Lock on his right wrist.
Superhuman Transfusion: Tsukune got his vampire/ghoul powers from repeatedly having Moka's blood injected into him. Considering she sucked out a lot of his original blood as well, it's not surprising that the ratio became skewed.
Supporting Protagonist: While the story is from his point of view, Moka is the arguably the heroine of the series, serving as the strongest member of their group and often takes on the Big Bad. He becomes more active in part 2.
Touched By Dark Lords: Moka's vampire blood has been giving him strength for awhile, but he couldn't compete with a true fully trained vampire. Then Tohofuhai came along and modified his body, granting him full control of his power and the potential to compete with Akuha.
X Marks The Hero: Has a X-shaped scar across his chest, which he got on this page. It's actually pretty easy to overlook at the time, since the scar isn't shown properly for several volumes.
The first person Tsukune meets when he sets foot in Yokai Academy. Exceptionally sweet and kind, Moka is a vampire, and takes a liking to Tsukune after ingesting his blood, becoming addicted in doing so. When the rosario around her neck is removed, the seal keeping her true nature is released. Cold and arrogant, "Inner" Moka is a completely different entity from the kind and loving "Outer" Moka, going so far as to specifically remind Tsukune to "be kind to the other Moka". Tsukune is the only one able to remove the rosario around Moka's neck.
Anti-Hero: Inner Moka, who starts off as a Type IV, but gradually evolves into a Type II.
Artificial Human: Outer Moka was recently revealed to be this. Mikogami notes her to be the most lifelike "fake personality" he's ever seen, and she has established a personal identity of her own.
Badass: Every time Inner Moka shows up, it's pretty much guaranteed that someone is going to get their ass kicked.
Badass Adorable: Yes, even Inner Moka starts to have more and more Moe moments.
There are two other Veronicas: Mizore and Inner Moka.
Breast Expansion: In the anime, Inner Moka's chest goes up at least a cup size whenever she transforms. In the manga, she seems to be second only to Kurumu in size.
Catch Phrase: "Know your place!" (Mi ni hodo o shire!)
Celibate Hero: Inner Moka initially refuses to come to terms with her feelings for Tsukune because she passionately believes that love makes you weak.
Character Development: Both personalities have matured greatly over the course of the series, with Outer Moka becoming more confident and responsible and Inner Moka becoming kinder and more understanding. It's suggested that the two are gradually merging into a single person.
Cute Little Fangs: Outer Moka has these. Inner Moka's fangs are a little too long to qualify.
Defrosting Ice Queen: Her inner self was very cold at first, but eventually starts warming up to Tsukune. As of late you almost can't tell that she was once very standoffish towards him. Inner Moka still refuses to admit it, though, putting her into full-on Tsundere status.
The Ditz: Outer Moka, sometimes. She's actually matured a fair amount.
Evil Laugh: Twice in the second serialization: in chapter 1, after roundhouse kicking Tsukune as punishment for touching her, and in chapter 6, right before curb-stomping the doppelganger that stole her face.
Evil Sounds Deep: Okay, she's not evil, but when Inner Moka comes around, her voice tumbles down many pitches.
Meaningful Name: "Moka" is a pun on the hot drink, "Cafe Mocha" (Coffee mixed with Cocoa), referring to the 'bitter and sweet' parallels between her two personalities: Inner (Coffee/Bitter) and Outer (Cocoa/Sweet).
Only The Chosen May Wield: Tsukune is the only person who can remove the rosary. In one scene, Kurumu tries to remove it to release Inner Moka and turn the tide of a battle, but fails despite her super strength.
Moka can remove it if she uses all her strength, but it is dangerous and painful. And risks permanently destroying the rosary.
Out-of-Clothes Experience: In her mind-scape, the personality that is not in control of the body is naked. Neither make any comment about this.
The Pollyanna: Outer Moka lost her memories from a significant part of her childhood, and doesn't understand why her mother disappeared. She also suffered from social ostracism, being unable to talk about her problems or share her true nature with anyone (not to mention her Bratty Half-Pint little sister kept attacking her), but come high school, she's quite balanced and friendly.
Power Limiter: The rosary around her neck, which keeps her Super Powered Not-Really-Evil Side in check. It was initially put onto her to repress her power, which allowed Moka's mother Akasha to re-seal the monster Alucard. Inner Moka willingly puts it back on after battle because she starts to weaken if she is out for long periods of time.
Inner Moka: I hope you didn't see a doppelganger... because, you know, that means you're going to die. [Inner Moka emits a sinister chuckle at her own one-liner]
Shallow Love Interest: Outer Moka is an arguable example, although not nearly bad as other examples.
In the manga, she even realizes this and is the Shipper on Deck for her other persona, whom she genuinely respects and cares for. In the anime, it's the reverse, as Inner Moka realizes Tsukune fell for her other side first, and actually likes her other persona, because she is a way to better enjoy the outside world, and even envies her for it. In the anime, though, Outer Moka gets a little jealous Inner Moka got close to Tsukune, though she does lampshade the irony of essentially being jealous of herself.
Split Personality: Inner Moka is the original and Outer Moka was created when Akasha put the rosary onto Moka.
Strong As They Need To Be: Outer Moka's strength varies according to the plot. Sometimes, she is able to knock over trees and pick up giant mallets. Sometimes, she can be restrained by human mooks.
A busty succubus attending Yokai Academy. She was initially a rival to Moka, being jealous of her popularity surpassing her own, and attempted to seduce Tsukune and the male student body to find her "Mate of Fate", as her kind is near the brink of extinction. After she was badly beaten during a fight with Inner Moka, Tsukune persuades Inner Moka to spare her, and as a result, Kurumu not only became friends with the pair, but also becomes infatuated with Tsukune, and makes a decision that he will be her "Mate of Fate".
Cool Down Kiss in chapter 41 she gives one that distracts the transformed Ghoul Tsukune long enough for Tohofuhai to give the 109th needle to complete the body modification procedure.
Early-Bird Cameo: Before she's properly introduced in episode 2 of the anime, the viewer can spot her in the initial scenes in the classroom, in the debut episode.
Feminine Women Can Cook: She certainly thinks so and hopes that it gives her a leg up on Moka.
Flanderization: The anime adaptation just wasn't that kind to Kurumu.
Subverted by the end of Season 2 (of the anime, not of the manga), where she starts resembling her manga counterpart a lot more, though her mother winds up getting the flanderization to compensate.
Hair Decorations: She's almost never seen without her frilly black tiara and star-shaped hairpins. And even when her hair is down, the hairpins stay.
Heel Face Turn: She originally wanted to screw over Moka simply because of jealousy. After being defeated, she becomes her ally and romantic rival. Ironically, this is MORE profound in the anime than the manga, as her animated counterpart is more of an asshole, and her Heel Face Turn cranks this down by a severe degree.
Hidden Heart of Gold: Tries to be an ice-bitch (it's in the racial job-description of Succubi, after all), but simply cannot stop herself from doing the decent, compassionate and kind-hearted thing even if it costs her own happiness.
Honor Before Reason: As a succubus, she literally has all she needs to make Tsukune love her and only her. Too bad for her that she really is a good girl.
Horny Devils: Subverted in that she is a compassionate, unselfish and kind-hearted girl in spite of her racial personality in the manga... in the anime not so much.
Well, the anime does reveal she is just as kind hearted, it just plays up the Horny Devils part of her a lot more, thus disguising a lot of it. When you get down to it, she's really sweet in either version, it's just her anime counterpart (Season 1 especially) doesn't like to show it.
Hypnotic Eyes: Her "Charm" technique, used by succubi to control men.
My God, What Have I Done?: Says something along this line when she realizes in a chapter from the second manga volume that she charmed Tsukune by mistake what follow is a tear jerker story that shows how troubled she really is and how honorable she is as well.
Only You Can Repopulate My Race: Claims only one man in the world can sire a specific succubus' children, and she is convinced it is Tsukune.
Rescue Romance: In her first appearance, she tried to seduce Tsukune to spite Moka. She falls in love with him for real when he stops Inner Moka from killing her.
Yamato Nadeshiko: She's already a good cook, and according to her fantasies, and the time she charmed Tsukune by mistake, she would become a submissive, perfect housewife if she and Tsukune got married.
The smartest student at Yokai Academy, and the youngest at age 11. As a witch, she has problems with her classmates discriminating against her (according to Kurumu, witches are viewed as "Beings of the Borderline", those that are something between humans and the supernatural, as it is impossible to tell their difference by appearance alone). Despite ranking #1 on the examinations, she was a lonely prankster before meeting Tsukune and Moka. She initially hated Tsukune, claiming that she has fallen in love with Moka, and uses her magical powers to try to drive them apart. However, after both Tsukune and Moka save her from bullying classmates, she falls for him too, and her obsession with both has driven her to try to create a three-way relationship between them.
A-Cup Angst: In large part due to being teased by Kurumu.
Bi the Way: Has a crush on both Tsukune and Moka and is the only girl who actually supports the couple because of it. Has a rather creepy fixation on it, actually.
A yuki-onna who is in the same homeroom class as Tsukune and Moka, frequently seen with a lollipop in her mouth (yuki-onna are vulnerable to warm climates; doing so keeps their bodies cool). Mizore returns to school after a delayed absence and was first portrayed as a lonely, somewhat depressed, and misunderstood girl. She becomes infatuated with Tsukune, going so far as to create her own journal/scrapbook with all of his newspaper articles. In the past, she confessed her love to a teacher until he began taking advantage of her, freezing him as a result. With the incident and rumors spreading about her, Mizore made it hard for herself to trust anyone, but took a liking to Tsukune, believing he was just as miserable as she was. She eventually regains her sense of trust after Tsukune intervenes when the same teacher returns to kill her. Unfortunately, this leads Mizore to stalk Tsukune on a daily basis.
Anime Hair: Not so much now, but when she was first introduced in both the manga and anime her hair was much more messy and longer, and despite being only having her hair like that for a short arc (and in her intro eps in the anime), it's still popular with her fans. She doesn't wear her hair like that anymore because to her it was a Important Hair Cut to symbolize the lessening of her burdens (or something along those lines), which was followed by her becoming a member of the Unwanted Harem.
Broken Bird: Has suffered multiple rape attempts. Also, her childhood human friend spurned her Love Confession when he discovered that she wasn't human.
And then, her arranged fiance stole her first kiss, pinned her down and groped her with her unable to fight back. Although she wasn't raped it was close enough for her to make her Driven to Suicide and had to be saved by Kurumu.
The Chosen One: Implied by the Snow Priestess to be one.
In truth, Mizore was "chosen" to be the arranged wife/sex slave of a powerful and high-ranking member of Fairy Tale, all in order to stop the guy from leveling the Yuki-Onna village.
Doppleganger Spin: Her "ice clone" technique, which allows her to make somewhat-independent clones merely out of the humidity in the air. She's shown to be quite adept, as she can not only make clones of others (namely, Tsukune), but have two acting at the same time.
Loners Are Freaks: Even after joining the group, it was quite a while before she joined the Newspaper Club proper, instead of just hanging around in the club room. And she's definitely an oddball.
Only You Can Repopulate My Race: Yuki-Onna have a limited window of fertility (teens to early-to-mid twenties), which poses a problem. A problem that's exacerbated by her fixation of Tsukune.
Oral Fixation Fixation: Her Tootsie Roll Pop, which is used to keep herself cool. According to an Omake, it's got a super-chilly frost core.
Rescue Romance: As the Kraken dragged her into the sea, she sighed and thought she would die without ever knowing true love... until Tsukune caught a tentacle, pulled them out of the water, and kicked the Kraken's ass.
Yandere: Sorta starts off as this. She gets better.
Remains a very mild comedic version in the anime, but starts resembling her manga side a lot more by the end of Season 2, though her mother, like Kurumu's, gets flanderized to accomplish this.
You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Hers is light purple that goes icy blueish white when she's really using her powers in the anime, inspired from the manga where it's looks like it's iced over. Mostly justified by her being An Ice Person.
A witch from the human world who was part of a plot to destroy mankind as a response to a large garbage dump polluting her mistress' sanctuary. Despite not being an official student, she receives permission to become a member of the Newspaper Club as its assistant advisor (though she prefers to take orders).
Defector from Decadence: She was part of a plot to wipe out a human city, but turned due to Tsukune's kindness.
The anime heavily changed the plot, replacing Ruby's master, who was revealed to by Dead All Along, and Ruby attempted to carry out the plan. The changes made to Ruby resulted in her being completely insane in her 1st appearence.
Too Kinky to Torture: At one point she actually orgasmed over too much of an electric shock. She also absentmindedly ties herself up BDSM style, a habit she compares to winding the phone cord around your finger.
When she handed Tsukune the magical whip, she blushed and assured him that she wasn't asking him to hit her with it — and then hinted broadly that she'd like it if he did. In the next panel, after he's told her he isn't into that sort of thing, she's clearly disappointed...
In a recent chapter, the group is cornered by Raika, one of the six subdivision leaders of Fairy Tale, who proceeds to assault Ruby with what was presumed to be a fatal electrical discharge...and she gets up, blushing and stating "I don't hate being shocked. <3"
Vague Age: She was estimated to be 17 at one point, but no one can say for sure.
A werewolf and the president of the Newspaper Club. He is a second-year student at Yokai Academy and a shameless peeping tom who initially began as an antagonist to Tsukune, but becomes somewhat of a senior to him and his friends.
Achilles Heel: He needs a full moon to fight at his maximum. He lost a fight to Moka when a cloud covered the moon mid-attack.
The full moon also seems to make him much less of a nice guy, transforming him from Lovable Sex Maniac to potential rapist.
Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He's a pervert who immediately gets his ass kicked by his victims, but he's one of the strongest characters in the series.
Flash Step: One of the fastest characters. When Kokoa attacked him with a rapier, she made several slashes at his afterimage before she even noticed that he had moved.
Handsome Lech: Let's allow Kurumu to explain it better:
That guy's a pervert who gropes girls' breasts*
okay, so the scanlation read "tits" instead of "breasts", but still, same difference
as a "hello", and steals things from the girls' changing room, but...
Vitriolic Best Buds: His relationship with Haiji seems to mostly be this. Anytime the two are seen together, they are constantly snarking at one another, even while teaming up to fight Fairy Tail.
Wake Up Call Boss: During his very short stint as a villain, he was the first to have a Near Villain Victory against Inner Moka, only losing due to the dumb luck of a cloud covering the moon.
The younger half-sister of Moka Akashiya. Like her sister, Kokoa is also a vampire, but her powers are not sealed and does not carry the same level of supernatural strength that Moka possesses. To compensate for it, she has a pet bat named Kou that can transform into a variety of weapons and wields it with enough strength to make herself formidable. Kokoa despises Moka for sealing away her inner personality, whom she adores and loves. Before Moka left to study at the academy and prior to her receiving the rosario, the sisters often clashed with one another, although Kokoa could never defeat Moka in a duel.
A-Cup Angst: Bonded with Yukari over this. Doesn't seem like it will be a problem once she's a bit older though.
Break the Haughty: When she learns that Tsukune, Mizore, and Kurumu are all superior to her when it comes to training and experience.
She also realizes anime Tsukune is braver than she thought in Season 2 when he faces off against her father, and even dials down on her disrespect of him somewhat.
Nosebleed: Gets these at the sight of female fanservice and yaoi.
Older than They Look: Despite being a year younger than Moka, she appears even younger than Yukari. The age-progression drops, however, make it clear that she's just a late bloomer.
The Chew Toy: The fact that he sometimes brings it on himself does not help.
Cool Sword: Made of Chinese coins linked together.
Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: When he gets his summons right, he gets them RIGHT. Also, seems to know his way around a machinegun. It's revealed the reason for his poor summoning is he's actually a natural martial artist with no innate youjutsu talent.
Lamarck Was Right: Subverted and played straight. He's not even close to Tohofuhai in youjutsu ability, much less able to control his summoning as well as his father and Yukari. However, he did inherit his mother's martial arts talent.
Took a Level in Badass: Is presented as joke during most of his early appearances then during a fight with Fairy Tale, he's had enough when Yukari nearly dies trying to save him and takes on two division leaders almost single-handedly.
Losing Your Head: Casually pulls her head off several times, which squicks everyone else.
Necromancer: Controls an army of undead warriors. Chillingly, she wanted to add Tsukune and the others to her undead army, but Fang-Fang talks her out of it.
Older than They Look: She is undead, and implies that she died a really long time ago. She attends the school because she looks like a teenager.
Apparently she was created by Tohofuhai. Though it's said she is the daughter of Fang-Fang's parents, so it seems he resurrected Ling-Ling after her death
Yandere: Subverted and played for laughs; Ling-Ling takes an instant liking to Tsukune and contemplates killing him and turning him into her zombie companion. At Fang-Fang's insistence, she agrees to wait until he dies naturally or in combat.
Boxing Lessons for Superman: He was born a monster, and so far, that has always resulted in some sort of power beyond the ability of humans. However, he never takes his monster form, and he relies on the power of his karate training. It's unclear just how much his natural powers inform what he can do, but it's made clear that his technique is what makes him truly formidable.
Limited Wardrobe: Hasn't been seen in anything other than martial arts gi.
Lolicon: He gushes over any small girl he meets, particularly: Yukari, Kokoa, and San. He also doesn't understand why Ginei is not attracted to them like he is.
Kick the Dog: When he tortures Tsukune and punches Moka in the gut. And when he casually incinerates one of his prisoners.
Knight of Cerebus: The first villain to break the Monster of the Week formula, and his appearance was one of the few times Inner Moka dying was presented as a possibility in Part I.
Knight Templar: Determined to kill any humans who venture into the monster world, as well as any monsters that associate with them. And anyone else he deems to have broken the rules.
Made of Iron: He survives being shredded by Ginei's claws.
Nice Guy: At least in the anime, he's more amicable to Tsukune since their first encounter.
Spared by the Adaptation: As there was no Hokuto or ANTI-THESIS in the anime, he got off with just a foot to the face.
Kusabi Midou
Blood Knight: Obsessed with fighting a real vampire.
The Combat Pragmatist: He claims that while he enjoys a good fight, the only thing that matters is winning.
Crazy-Prepared: He rigs makeshift sprinklers to counter Moka, as vampires can't stand water.
Curb-Stomp Battle: Was belting this out to Inner Moka via the above and to Tsukune..until the tables turned when Tsukune's Ghoul form awakened and the Curbstomping reversed on to him.
Hellish Pupils: Doubly so in that, not only does he have rectangular pupils, but they are oriented so that they are perpendicular to one another, giving him this and a variation of Mismatched Eyes.
Pet the Dog: Saving Hokuto's life back when he was a human and turning him into a monster to give him the strength to survive. He did admit that he was curious to see what Hokuto would do with his newfound power.
You could also strongly argue that he's one of Aizen. Starts out with glasses and later removes them a short time after his True Colors are revealed, kills off the alleged governing council of the student festival in what looks like what would have happened if we had seen Aizen kill the Central 46 members onscreen, and manages to make everyone (save the Genre Savvy) believe he's a good guy.
Freudian Excuse: His father beat him and the monsters at the school nearly killed him many times over. Kiria was his only friend.
Not so Different: He was once a human who stumbled into the monster world, just like Tsukune. However, instead of getting a harem, the only friend he made was Kiria, who made him what he is now. After being defeated, he helps Tsukune and Moka stop his own plan, because he decides Tsukune had proved himself the better of the two.
Omnicidal Maniac: Wanted to destroy both worlds as punishment for both spurning him.
Captain Ersatz: Let's see... drives people around as a profession, hands out advice on the path on should take in life to the hero... implied to be a mega powerful badass... we will most likely never know what all of his face really looks like... Caine, is that you?!
Cool Car: His bus can travel anywhere in both the human and monster worlds, and is ungodly fast.
Cool Old Guy: You wish your bus driver was as awesome as this one.
Reasonable Authority Figure: Aside from the Chairman, she's one of the few teachers who isn't a Jerkass or horribly deranged and is actually helpful and non prejudicial to her students.
Mad Artist: Her original MO was to turn people to stone for her collection. Now, she considers death, destruction, and chaos to be the ultimate forms of art, and does her best to create it.
Emotion Eater: Downloads info directly into her student's brains, but drains away their feelings and leaves them cold and heartless.
Gorgeous Gorgon: Her true form is a "Lamia", a woman with a snake's lower body.
Harmless Villain: Unlike most of the other villains, she has no interest in physically harming anyone. She also thinks of her actions as being beneficial to her victims.
Hot for Student: Gives off the impression of such in both the manga and anime to Tsukune and is implied for other male students, though she's ultimately revealed to be far more interested in milking her male students brainpower for all its worth out of some obsessive desire to make them smarter.
Hospital Hottie: A fake one in the manga, since she's not really a nurse.
In Name Only: the version of her in the anime compared to the manga is totally different, except for looks and the above ability, and is a one episodewonder who gets defeated off screen.
Dark-Skinned Blonde: While we don't as-of-yet know what color her hair is, Kahlua is the tannest of the Vampire Sisters and has light colored hair, so it fits. She gets it from her mother.
Her first in person appearance is her falling on her face after tripping on her own dress while greeting our heroes before she fights them.
Fairytale Wedding Dress: However you look at it, Kahlua's dress looks like something a bride would wear to her wedding (except maybe the boots and the slit).
Feel No Pain: If she takes too much damage, her body will fail itself. But she's charmed to feel no pain, so she doesn't know when she's approaching that point.
Awesomeness by Analysis: While fighting her sister Kahlua, she was able to figure out the reason behind her Berserker Tears despite seeing them for the first time.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite being apparently a Complete Monster, she really does love her little sister Moka. She even put her plot to gain ultimate power by killing Moka's mother on hold in a (failed) attempt to avoid hurting Moka's feelings.
Morality Pet: After cutting Moka's mother in half with her bare hands to get her powerful blood, she then teams up with that same mother, newly regenerated, in order to save her beloved sister Moka from Alucard, though Akuha proved powerless against him.
In return, the look on her face after it became obvious that fucking with Tohofuhai was really a bad choice is priceless.
Older than They Look: She's Moka's oldest sister but doesn't look it at all. Tohofuhai even lampshades this, noting that she doesn't seem to have aged at all in the last decade.
One-Hit Kill: Her blows are so strong that they tear through people's bodies like tissue paper. Kahlua is one of the only characters shown to survive them, though she coughed up blood. The other survivors being Akasha and Ling-Ling, who each got sliced in half at the waist. But since Akasha is an ultra-powerful Shinso vampire and Ling-Ling is already dead, that's not enough to take them out.
Alucard, or his Combat Tentacles to be more accurate, also survived the attack, and instantly regenerated after being hit with it.
Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: She tells a mook that she'll decapitate him if he touches Moka again. He and his friends are frightened... until she turns her back and they go back to fawning over her.
Actually they went to fawning over Moka, calling her nice and beautiful in contrast to Aqua being cold and scary, and making them almost wet themselves.
I'm almost 100% positive they were referring to Akuha, not Moka, they weren't looking at Moka when making those statements. Clearly they think she is scary, but pretty, attractive and cool as well.
Miyabi Fujisaki
Head of Fairy Tale Sub-Division One which Hokuto & Kiria are in.
A Father to His Men: He apparently cares for his teammates, like when he orders Kahlua to withdraw from battle, realizing that she was about to collapse from her injuries.
Kick the Dog: Pinning Mizore to the ground, kissing and groping her. When she cries, he goes, "Get over yourself, bitch!" If Kurumu received that treatment it'd be an outright Moral Event Horizon, as hurting a succubus's heart at the level he hurt Mizore's can kill the succubus in question.
Made of Iron: He shrugs off Tsukune knocking him through a wall.
Sadistic Choice: Ordered the Yuki-Onna village to give him Mizore as his wife/sex slave, or else he would have Fairy Tale level the village.
Rival Turned Evil: Fang Fang's. Or not. He joined because the Masked King showed him that when his father made a cease-fire with the Huang family, he had his body twisted around till it would fit nicely in a large brief case, which had to break several of his bones and joints.
Crazy-Prepared: Had a Map of the Palace were Mizore was being held just in case Tsukune and his harem went to her to talk to her about saving Mizore from a Arranged Marriage as well has a Wall of Guns to arm them for their attempt to save her daughter.
Generation Xerox: In the Season 2 anime, you find out her and Ageha had a similar dynamic to Kurumu and Mizore's anime counterparts.
Hot Mom: Tsukune calls her Mizore's twin. This may also be because, when first seen, she was peering at him from around a corner, very like the way Mizore does.
Oral Fixation Fixation: Just like her daughter, she keeps something in her mouth to stay cool.
Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right: Is the only adult snow fairy (onscreen anyway) to object to their Arranged Marriage law. Since Mizore's fiance was a total prick and she knew Mizore loves Tsukune, it was only natural.
Wall of Weapons: Owns a very huge collection of guns. (She used to dream of being a spy.)
Completely Missing the Point: It takes her a really long time to understand that monsters are real (and it takes her venturing into the Academy to do so).
Badass: When she starts fighting for real against Alucard, it becomes apparent that she could have killed Akuha easily if she tried. She shakes off most everything thrown at her, and the Combat Tentacles mentioned above that regenerated after Akuha sliced through them, Akasha smashes them so hard that they can't regenerate.
Beware the Nice Ones: she's extremely and gentle towards others, but HOLY SHIT do NOT threaten her family. Akuha only survived since Akasha had sympathy for her
She gets better but unfortunately she apparently has to do a heroic sacrifice to save Moka from a waking Alucard.
Hero of Another Story: prior to the series, it's stated that she defeated Alucard, and likely had her own share of interesting events with meeting the other two Dark Lords.
The Reveal: Is actually the leader of the Three Demon Lords as well as a Shinso.
Too Powerful to Live: Really, if she were still around, much of the plot with Fairy Tale probably wouldn't even be happening.

Broken Bird: Had to watch Kamiya murder her husband in front of her.
Fantastic Racism: Of monsters. San had to hide her status from her. She gets over it when Tsukune and friends prove that while there may be monsters out there who are evil, there are just as many benevolent monsters as well.
Badass Abnormal: Since his regular form is weak by monster standards, and he gains powers by taking on someone's form, as far as ability goes he's a Badass Normal who can become Abnormal if given the chance.
Powers as Programs: When he copies a person, he gets all their powers... and their weaknesses. He's defeated when he copies Moka, only for Tsukune to slap the rosary on him, weakening him enough for them to defeat.
Serial Killer: Likes to impersonate loved ones in order to get close enough to his victims.
An ancient vampire that's better described as an Eldritch Abomination. Tried to destroy the human world, but was defeated and sealed away by Akaha, but he was too powerful to kill. Was reawaken by Moka's shinso blood, and Akasha had to sacrifice herself to re-seal him. Fairy Tail plans to release the seal on him and use to destroy the human world.
Ambiguous Gender: One could not tell his gender if he weren't referred to as a "he".
The Dreaded: Outside of Fairy Tale, the entire cast is terrified of him and seems to imply that he's a menace to both humans and ayashi.
Eldritch Abomination: The only thing he has in common with a tradition vampire is sucking blood. Appearance, he's a Godzilla sized insect-like creature with a head like Xenomorph with a huge amount of tentacles of varying sizes (ranging from the size of ropes in terms of width to being the size of trees) that all have mouths full of teeth.
