At the same time Luffy and Zoro gained in infamy, other rookie pirate captains managed to acquire [[PowerLevels bounties]] over 100 million berries. They have taken differing routes along the first half of the Grand Line, [[HeroOfAnotherStory implicitly facing dangers and hardships equal to that of the Straw Hat crew]]. Although they never met each other before unwittingly gathering in Sabaody, they are notorious for having gained exceptional bounties at the same time period, earning them this collective moniker.

Post-TimeSkip, they are collectively known as the "[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Worst Generation]]", together with the Straw Hats and [[BigBad Blackbeard Pirates]], as they have gained even more notoriety for their crimes, and sometimes their willingness to challenge the current status-quo, for instance defying the Four Emperors. Nonetheless it is clear that they are nowhere near the might needed to pose a sizeable threat to said Emperors as one alliance was crushed by Kaidou alone while another barely escaped Big Mom's territory. Others have also joined the ranks of the Emperors themselves.

* TheAlliance: There's one between Luffy and Law, another between Kid, Apoo and Hawkins, and a third between Luffy and Bege. The first aims to overthrow Kaido, while the second are first shown planning to take on Big Mom before their next appearance discussing about taking down Shanks (before Kaido fell to the ground right around them). [[spoiler:And then Apoo and Hawkins apparently join Kaido's side while Kid is held prisoner by Kaido, and the third only teamed up to take down Big Mom at her tea party, after that their alliance will practically be null and void, though the two sides remain at least somewhat friendly afterward.]]
* AmbitionIsEvil: In-universe, the evident logic behind them being referred to as "The Worst Generation", what with them being the only generation of pirates in recent times to actively threaten the Status Quo by taking on the Four Emperors. Especially so since Blackbeard tends to be lumped in with them.
* ChekhovsGunman: Pretty much a collection of them. They debut as minor characters in the last few arcs before the TimeSkip, but quickly become much more important after the Straw Hats reach New World.
* TheDreaded: All of them plus Blackbeard are known as "The Worst Generation" post-timeskip.
** As a generation of pirates born between two eras, the main reason why they are so feared is not only for their massive amount of potential, but also for their tendency to somehow be in the center of any major event that may disrupt the balance of the world. This started with Luffy and his involvement in the Paramount War.
* ExplainingYourPowersToTheEnemy:
** Explicitly averted at their introduction; to keep the story at a brisk pace, Oda decided not to explain ''any'' of their Devil Fruit powers (as well as quite a few others) during the Whitebeard War Saga.
** Slowly but gradually being subverted as the New World arcs go on. The nine non-Straw Hat Supernovas were first revealed in chapter 498, and the names of four of their eight fruits have since been revealed in chapters 661 (163 chapters later), 812 (314 chapters later), 913 (415 chapters later) and 929 (431 chapters later).
* TheGoodTheBadAndTheEvil: Luffy, Law and Kid respectively fit this quite well:
** Luffy is friendly and good-natured assuming you don't piss him off.
** Law has nasty rumors and stories surrounding him, with his true character frequently put into question and being primarily motivated by revenge for his benefactor, but is otherwise capable of kindness.
** Kid is violent and sociopathic, being responsible for several civilian casualties and merciless against those who ridicule him (or even those who are just begging for their lives), despite having some standards.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Most of them are shown in short amounts to be having their own adventures and stories in the background. Except for Law, who gets some focus in Punk Hazard and Dressrosa arcs.
* PragmaticVillainy: Although the various Supernova are known for their infamous reputations as well as catastrophic deeds, there are still limits and rules that they adhere to. For instance, most of them know better than to attack a Celestial Dragon as they know it would incite the retaliation of an Admiral.
* RealityEnsues: These guys all want to challenge the status quo of the New World, yet each of them experience this trope in short order. The Straw Hats and Bonney Pirates actually get taken out before even setting foot in its waters, albeit only temporarily. The ones that have subverted the Insurmountable Wall have ended up having to play the game instead of fighting it like they’d hoped.
* TheRival: To Luffy. Even if he has only acknowledged Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid as this for now.
* ShoutOutThemeNaming: With the exception of Killer, all of them are [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast named after famous pirates]] from RealLife.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Downplayed. They're powerful for sure but the Supernovas that choose to challenge the Four Emperors often overestimate their own power severely. Kid, Luffy, and [[spoiler:Bege]] talk a big game about how they will bring down an Emperor but a confrontation with them has never ended well: Kid was beaten senseless by Kaido, while [[spoiler:Bege]] and Luffy barely managed to escape the Big Mom Pirates [[spoiler:after their assassination attempt on Big Mom failed]]. It's been gradually subverted, however, as the Supernovas grow in strength. Luffy in particular was acknowledged as a potential future threat to Big Mom by no less than her strongest subordinate and Sweet Commander, Charlotte Katakuri, [[spoiler:who made it his personal mission during the climax of the Whole Cake Island arc to end Luffy's life before the "potential" part no longer applied. Considering Luffy ''defeated'' Katakuri (albeit, barely), he wasn't wrong about how dangerous Luffy really was. Come Chapter 903, this is fully subverted as far as Luffy goes, as he's now considered by the world at large to be the Fifth Emperor of the Sea]].
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Pretty much all of the males besides Bege, Apoo, and Killer are commonly seen with their torsos exposed.
* WildCard: Every single one of them, and it's the main reason why they're so feared. Their willingness to challenge the status quo of the world, along with all the chaos they caused when they first entered the New World, is what caused them to gain the moniker "The Worst Generation." Some of them go to challenge the Four Emperors, while some others choose to serve under them.
* TheWorfEffect: Barring the Warlords, the Supernovas are established as arguably the most dangerous pirates in the first half of the Grand Line, with each of them having bounties exceeding 100 million. However, the threats of the New World are often shown to be much more dangerous. [[spoiler: Notably, Kid gets taken out by Kaido, while it takes some of Luffy's strongest attacks as well as Nami's help to defeat one of Big Mom's three strongest subordinates, and even then, the fight lasted over ''eleven hours'']]. One of Big Mom's subordinates even notes this, stating that pirates who actually end up facing the Emperors and their forces run into an insurmountable wall.

Eustass Kid is the captain of the Kid Pirates and one of the eleven pirates dubbed with the moniker "Supernova". He's the only one who had a bounty higher than Luffy's. He's known for his violent personality, though he's also knowledgeable in the ways of how the world works and when to step back. Like Luffy, he aims to become Pirate King, and is infamous for leaving behind a trail of bodies of those who mocked him for it. He says that he possesses the determination to achieve the impossible, which is necessary if one is to succeed in the New World. His currently unnamed Devil Fruit power grants him power over magnetism.\\\

After the time skip, he was first shown watching the black market, with a new metallic arm. Some time later, he strikes an alliance with Apoo and Hawkins to strike down Shanks. Unfortunately, before he could even get anywhere on that, they're attacked by Kaido and resoundly trashed, leaving him a half dead prisoner of Kaido.\\\

He makes his big return in the Wano Arc, reuniting with Luffy when the latter ends up in prison. From the start, it's clear however that their team-up will not be a smooth one.\\\

His first known bounty was 315,000,000 berries. His current bounty is 470,000,000 berries.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Kid remarks on this himself during the Sabaody auction -- he may be a bloodthirsty pirate, but he sure as hell doesn't run a slavery ring. * EvilCounterpart: To Luffy. Both have bounties of over 300 million; both of their [[TheDragon dragons]] are non-DF sword users who are also among the supernovas (Killer for Kid, Zoro for Luffy); both are hot-headed; both serve as Red Onis to Law's Blue Oni; both dream to be Pirate King; both joined other Supernovas in an alliance to take down a Emperor, and in fact have managed to run into conflict with three of them (Kid with Big Mom, Kaidou, and Shanks, Luffy with Big Mom, Kaidou and Blackbeard); both have facial scars (Luffy's is under his eye, Kid's are over his eye and across his face and neck) and both hate the World Nobles (though unlike Luffy, Kid doesn't act on it). However, while Luffy is friendly and kind, Kid is AxCrazy.
* EvilRedHead: Appears to be averted early on, as he isn't shown to be anything more than evil. Played straight later on [[spoiler:when he's shown ''crucifying'' pirates fleeing the New World.]]
* EvilVersusEvil: He's personally waging war against Big Mom [[spoiler:and even sunk two of her ships]].

** Averted in one notable case: Luffy telling him to his face that he - not Kid - will become Pirate King. Instead of getting angry, Kid approves Luffy's attitude.
* HandicappedBadass: Even after losing his prosthetic arm and cuffed to sea stone restraints, Kid is still capable of performing impressive feats such as carrying hundreds of stone blocks with one arm.

* OffstageVillainy: Until he was shown crucifying a pirate crew in the New World for trying to escape to "Paradise", you would never have realized how true the mentioned detail that he racked up an impressive body count of civilians was. The civilian thing was MoralEventHorizon material, albeit material that would not quite yet faze the audience, because he didn't seem very evil up to that point. With the pirate crew's execution, it was hammered in.
* RealityEnsues: His alliance with Hawkins and Apoo to take out [[spoiler:Shanks]] lasted up until they had an up-close encounter with [[spoiler:Kaido]], who was all too happy to show them just how far out of their depth they were. It ended with [[spoiler:Apoo and Hawkins working under Kaido's flag and Kid hovering between life and death in Kaido's custody after receiving one hell of an ass-whooping.]]
* RedHerring: [[spoiler: As it turns out, he never actually planned war on Big Mom, and didn't lose an arm attacking her either. He simply attacked her as revenge for a subordinate, and lost his arm beforehand fighting the Red-Haired Pirates.]]

** With Trafalgar Law. Their personalities pretty much complement the scheme with Kid being extremely violent and easily provoked while Law seems much more relaxed and calm. Their coloring (Kid being a red head and Law having dark blue hair in the manga) and their clothing motifs (Kid with his [[SpikesofVillainy Metallica-esque get-up]] and Law with his furry (no, not [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom that]] kind of furry!) style) also seem to reflect their opposing personalities.
** With his subordinate, Killer. Killer is much more level-headed and reasonable than his captain, and had to calm Kid down when he was about to get into a fight with Scratchmen Apoo.
* SlasherSmile: Sports one quite often.
* SpikesOfVillainy: His pre-timeskip outfit has spiky shoulders on his coat. He doesn't have them anymore after the timeskip, but he keeps his spiky-ish hair.
* TheSociopath: Initially seemed like a TokenEvilTeammate because he happened to be on the protagonists side and had some standards, but his actions in the New World put him firmly in this category.
* SocialDarwinist: With respect to the New World at least, he believes that no one without resolve or courage should even be there in the first place. Thus, he begins his time in the New World by crucifying a pirate crew for their cowardice in trying to escape to "Paradise" (a.k.a. the first half of the Grand Line).

* WorthyOpponent: Again with Luffy, and perhaps Trafalgar Law as well. He all but states this when he admits that he beat up anyone who laughed at his dreams and that the only ones who make it in the New World will be those that aim high for their dreams and consequently invites both Luffy and Law to meet up with him in the New World.
** Further proven when, during the Punk Hazard arc, [[spoiler:he showed obvious delight at the fact that Luffy had finally showed up at the New World, and Law wasn't a 'government dog'.]]

Coming from the North Blue, Basil Hawkins is the captain of the Hawkins Pirates. He tends to act in a stoic manner even when confronted with danger. This is perhaps because as Hawkins is a fortune teller, he has little to worry about concerning his fate. His Devil Fruit is the Straw-Straw Fruit (''Wara Wara no Mi''), and it is a strange one. Hawkins can make voodoo dolls that will absorb any blow he takes and deflect the damage to the person the doll was based off of, and avoid fatal injuries as well, though with a limit of 10 straw effigies. In addition, it allows him to turn into a scarecrow-like monster with nails for claws, or create a demon-like entity that serves as as extension of his body, though his true power has yet to be shown. He also has very accurate foresight, though it's unknown if this is an inherent power, the result of greatly honing Observation Haki skills, or another effect of his fruit. Another unusual ability connected to his powers is his tarot card deck, which can influence fortunate or misfortunate events to happen each time he draws a card.\\\

After the Time Skip, he strikes an alliance with Apoo and Kid. He later joins Kaido instead and becomes one of the [[Characters/OnePieceBeastPirates Beast Pirates]]' [[MookLieutenant Headliners]].\\\

His first known bounty was 249,000,000 berries. His current bounty is 320,000,000 berries.

* AffablyEvil: Hawkins appears to be against the idea of needless violence in social situations, as seen when he stopped his crew-mate from attacking a waiter after the latter accidentally spilled spaghetti all over his clothes, even apologizing to the waiter himself. [[spoiler:When he runs into Luffy and Zoro in Wano he surmised the possibility that Luffy and Zoro were at Wano on a vacation when he encountered them there, and even politely suggested to the two Straw Hats that they should just take their leave before trouble brews. This hints that Hawkins would have simply allowed them to leave without risk of confrontation had the Straw Hats complied.]] However, despite this, in battle, he is very cruel and ruthless, having slain almost all of Brownbeard's crew and left Brownbeard on the verge of death and left him without the use of his legs. His voodoo-power itself implies cruelty and apathy, as he lets other people suffer the damage that he would otherwise sustain and apparently has no problem with it.
* AlmightyJanitor: [[spoiler: After joining up with Kaido, he's given the position of Headliner, a rank whose members are mediocre fighters ''at best'' and utilize WrongContextMagic that is usually useless. Hawkins, by comparison, is able to fight Luffy and Zoro at the same time and put up a competent fight.]]
* BadBoss: Subtle, but the fact that his straw dolls work by having his subordinates essence inside of them makes it clear Hawkins is entirely willing to let his men be killed as a means of defense.
* BenevolentBoss: To his own crew at least, as he does not use his straw dolls on them. [[spoiler: But to the Pleasures of the Beast Pirates and the Wano Military whom he has control over he has no regard using them as dummies for his Devil Fruit.]]
* CardsOfPower: His deck can create secondary effects depending on what he draws, though he is at the mercy of the draw and runs the risk of it backfiring on him and his men.
* ClippedWingAngel: He can turn into a large scarecrow, though this also makes him a bigger target, and he's still just as vulnerable to harm. The basics of his Devil Fruit still apply, as well. Kizaru trounced him when he used it. Granted, Kizaru would have won one way or another, but Hawkins didn't do himself any favors.
* CombatClairvoyance: He can foresee whether someone will survive a battle or not, though the means by which he does so are still a matter of speculation; it may be some sort of innate ability, highly specialized Observation Haki, or a secondary function of his Devil Fruit.
* CoolSword: A sword made of living straw with a voodoo doll handle, able to change shape thanks to Hawkins's powers without losing its cutting power.
* TheFatalist: Has the ability to predict the future, so a lot of his lines, actions and decisions stem from what he ''knows'' will happen. For example, Hawkins fought Kizaru, but knew that he'd survive, and attacked [[spoiler:Brownbeard]] all by his lonesome, because he saw the shadow of death on him.
* FortuneTeller: He can do this to predict what happens to people. He might either just look at the person, or use some tarot cards for it.

Trafalgar Law is the captain of the Heart Pirates and one of the eleven pirates dubbed with the moniker "Supernova". He's a very laid-back person, and while his speech is very polite, he has no problem with taking mocking jabs at people or giving them the middle finger. Law has eaten the Op-Op Fruit (''Ope Ope no Mi''), which allows him to create an area wherein he can cut up anything without damage, be it people or objects, and rearrange it with a flick of his fingers. He gladly accepts new people to join his crew, and is also careful to deny any undeserved credit, though he does not like being ordered around at all. Over the TimeSkip, he's become a Warlord, a feat he seems to have achieved by handing over 100 pirates' hearts to the Government. He also used to be the subordinate of "Joker", AKA Donquixote Doflamingo.\\\

His first known bounty was 200,000,000 berries. During the TimeSkip, it rose to 440,000,000 million berries before being frozen as a Warlord. After the events of Dressrosa, his bounty was reinstated and rose to 500,000,000 berries, the second highest among the Supernovas (behind Luffy).

Also equipped with 7 jetbeam propulsion, perhaps explaining how it could escape through the frozen water of Aokiji's ''Ice Age'' and avoid Kizaru's light beam simultaneously, two Logia-type Admirals who are hot on their pursuit during rescuing Luffy in Marineford.

** Hid regular iron chains to swap with Seastone chains around a laboratory in case he is betrayed and captured by some mistake. Which comes to pass.

The captain of the Bonney Pirates and only female Supernova, Bonney has one of the more stereotypical views on what a pirate should be like in the series, which is a completely amoral person who destroys all in their way and looks out only for themselves. She has eaten a Devil Fruit that allows her to change her own age as well as others. She uses it as a disguise on herself and makes her opponents either too young or too old to fight her. Interestingly, the clothes of the Marines she changes into children don't change to fit their smaller forms while her clothes do, implying that skintight {{Stripperific}} outfit is so her clothes always fit her when she transforms. Other than that, she has also demonstrated a powerful kick to Blackbeard's face that was enough to make him bleed, suggesting a good amount of physical strength (a common trait for the strongest of the One Piece world).\\\

Coming from the West Blue, Capone Bege is one of the older Supernovas and he's the captain of the Firetank Pirates. Once a powerful Mafia boss in his native Blue, he became bored with his dominance of the underworld and decided to head out to sea to conquer and loot as many powerful pirate crews as he can. He has eaten the Castle-Castle Fruit (''Shiro Shiro no Mi''); his body is a medieval-style human castle (including horses and mounted cannons and all) and his crew (and anyone) can shrink and "enter" him to mount surprise attacks on enemies, and he can interact with them through a manifestation of his conscious self. If that's not enough, he can assume the literal form of a castle human and beef himself up with impressive offense and defense, but if his castle body sustains any harm in that state, his consciousness feels it as well.\\\

He's rather infamous for his sadism, high class attitude, and very short temper. However, his most prominent attribute is his direct approach to victory. Bege is a cunning and crafty opportunist who always goes after the head honchos and no one else, just to enjoy watching their organizations dissolve into chaos after he knocks off the boss.\\\

He also allied himself with the Big Mom Pirates during the {{Timeskip}}, serving as a "Rook" combatant in her ranks and marrying one of her daughters to seal his servitude, Charlotte Chiffon. * CharacterizationMarchesOn: Was introduced as a laid-back but powerful pirate who really only showed his mean side when angered and was a PerpetualSmiler the rest of the time. After the timeskip, he was portrayed as much more serious and smiled much less often, in addition to his ability for cruelty being a little more apparent. To be fair, he's currently engaged with the difficult task of defeating Doflamingo and has to deal with the Straw Hats' wacky hijinks.

* WhenHeSmiles: Post-timeskip, Law has pretty much [[CharacterizationMarchesOn become a]] PerpetualFrowner, and the smiles he does sport are usually some kind of SlasherSmile. So on the few occasions that he ''does'' smile genuinely (such as during the celebration of Doflamingo's defeat, after reuniting with his crew, and a few times as a child in his flashback), it definitely stands out.

Coming from the North Blue, Basil Hawkins is the captain of the Hawkins Pirates. He tends to act in a stoic manner even when confronted with danger. This is perhaps because as Hawkins is a fortune teller, he has little to worry about concerning his fate. After the Time Skip, he strikes an alliance with Apoo and Kid. He later joins Kaido instead and becomes one of the [[Characters/OnePieceBeastPirates Beast Pirates]]' [[MookLieutenant Headliners]].\\\

His Devil Fruit is the Straw-Straw Fruit (''Wara Wara no Mi''), and it is a strange one. Hawkins can make voodoo dolls that will absorb any blow he takes and deflect the damage to the person the doll was based off of, and avoid fatal injuries as well, though with a limit of 10 straw effigies. In addition, it allows him to turn into a scarecrow-like monster with nails for claws, or create a demon-like entity that serves as as extension of his body, though his true power has yet to be shown. He also has very accurate foresight, though it's unknown if this is an inherent power, the result of greatly honing Observation Haki skills, or another effect of his fruit. Another unusual ability connected to his powers is his tarot card deck, which can influence fortunate or misfortunate events to happen each time he draws a card.\\\

Trafalgar Law is the captain of the Heart Pirates and one of the eleven pirates dubbed with the moniker "Supernova". He's a very laid-back person, and while his speech is very polite, he has no problem with taking mocking jabs at people or giving them the middle finger. Law ate the Op-Op Fruit (''Ope Ope no Mi''), which allows him to create an area wherein he can cut up anything without damage, be it people or objects, and rearrange it with a flick of his fingers. He gladly accepts new people to join his crew, and is also careful to deny any undeserved credit, though he does not like being ordered around at all. Over the TimeSkip, he's become a Warlord, a feat he seems to have achieved by handing over 100 pirates' hearts to the Government. He also used to be the subordinate of "Joker", AKA Donquixote Doflamingo.\\\

The captain of the Bonney Pirates and only female Supernova, Bonney has one of the more stereotypical views on what a pirate should be like in the series, which is a completely amoral person who destroys all in their way and looks out only for themselves. She has proven to be a very rude and unpleasant woman who has a [[BigEater monstrous appetite]] and holds deep grudges for people who irritate her in any way, currently setting her sights on the Straw Hats. As a captain, she shows conflicting displays of competence. She saved herself, her crew, Zoro, and the entire Sabaody archipelago (initially, at least) by immediately restraining Zoro when he was about to kill a World Noble, which would have certainly caused nothing short of a Marine-issued Buster Call. However, she has been shown to cause time delays for her crew with her binge eating, even staying at a restaurant to eat for awhile while knowing that [[PersonOfMassDestruction Admiral Kizaru]] was coming.\\\

She has eaten a Devil Fruit that allows her to change her own age as well as others. She uses it as a disguise on herself and makes her opponents either too young or too old to fight her. Interestingly, the clothes of the Marines she changes into children don't change to fit their smaller forms while her clothes do, implying that skintight {{Stripperific}} outfit is so her clothes always fit her when she transforms. Other than that, she has also demonstrated a powerful kick to Blackbeard's face that was enough to make him bleed, suggesting a good amount of physical strength (a common trait for the strongest of the One Piece world).\\\

Coming from the West Blue, Capone Bege is one of the older Supernovas and he's the captain of the Firetank Pirates. Once a powerful Mafia boss in his native Blue, he became bored with his dominance of the underworld and decided to head out to sea to conquer and loot as many powerful pirate crews as he can. He's rather infamous for his sadism, high class attitude, and very short temper. However, his most prominent attribute is his direct approach to victory. Bege is a cunning and crafty opportunist who always goes after the head honchos and no one else, just to enjoy watching their organizations dissolve into chaos after he knocks off the boss.\\\

He has eaten the Castle-Castle Fruit (''Shiro Shiro no Mi''); his body is a medieval-style human castle (including horses and mounted cannons and all) and his crew (and anyone) can shrink and "enter" him to mount surprise attacks on enemies, and he can interact with them through a manifestation of his conscious self. If that's not enough, he can assume the literal form of a castle human and beef himself up with impressive offense and defense, but if his castle body sustains any harm in that state, his consciousness feels it as well.\\\

* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: When he first demonstrates his power it seems a bit ''odd'', and he's quite literally dwarfed by Luffy and Kid's abilities. * JerkWithAHeartOfGold: In his backstory he used to be quite the jerk (a jerk with a bad past, but still), but then his idol Corazon's actions has made him more caring towards the lives of his closest associates. Nowadays he's still rather cold to everyone, but if someone close to him needs helping, he will do it. He also has a soft spot for sick (and poisoned) children, which is not surprising considering his past.

* MeaningfulName: The Heart Pirates were most likely named after Corazon, which means "heart" in Spanish.

* NervesOfSteel: During the moment [[spoiler:when Doflamingo chooses to taunt him over Corazon's failed attempt to save Dressrosa, Law dismisses the idea that the situation could have been averted,]] which even surprises [[spoiler:Doflamingo]] on how level-headed he is.

* NiceHat: To the point when [[spoiler:he gets his heart back and is ready to fight]] he calls back his hat and puts it on his head.
** Ever since his childhood he's always seen with a white bowler hat. After the TimeSkip it is changed into a white newsboy cap. All with the same black patterns on them.

* NotSoAboveItAll: Since their alliance, Law has been simply shocked at how goofy the Straw Hats are, despite their reputation for being a thorn in the World Government's side. He's kept his cool as being the OnlySaneMan... until Sanji said he's making sandwiches for breakfast. Law admitted he didn't like bread.
** This has actually been happening in small doses ever since the alliance was established, but this is the most blatant example. The more time Law has spent with the Straw Hats, the more susceptible he is to taking part of their hijinks. It's not long before he realizes that Luffy's not going to be the UnwittingPawn that Law expected him to be, or that he was never really in control of the alliance in the first place.
** In ch. 817, he joins the crew (which also includes Zoro) on speculating cool things that a ninja like Raizo can do. He specifically says "a clone jutsu would be nice." [[spoiler:Sure enough, clone jutsu is one of what Raizo displays seconds after.]]
* NotSoDifferent: Lampshaded by Nami when he gives orders to Nami, Chopper, and Brook without listening to them or knowing their current dilemma just like Luffy. [[spoiler:Then, when you learn his real name...]]
