Arlette Armaju

A former Zeon mobile weapons engineer, she's one of two people hired by Mehmet act as a guide and bodyguard for Mastema in their investigation of Axis.

• Retired Outlaw: She was a Zeon mobile weapons engineer during the One Year War, then was transferred to Axis and participated in mobile suit development after the Battle of A Baoa Qu. After the Second Neo Zeon War, she went into hiding to live in Side 6 with Danton.
• Wrench Wench: From a young age, she has been handling mobile suit mechanics and repair and apparently doing an excellent job, given that she caught the attention of Char himself.

Danton Haireg

Voiced by: Shuhei Sakaguchi

A former Zeon test pilot, he's one of two people hired by Mehmet act as a guide and bodyguard for Mastema in their investigation of Axis. When an unknown enemy attacks his team, he must confront his own past.

• Retired Outlaw: He used to be a test pilot for the Principality of Zeon, and then later Neo Zeon. He went into hiding along with Arlette to live in Side 6 after the Second Neo Zeon War, where he opened and ran a laundry shop.
• Thou Shalt Not Kill: The reason he was a test pilot and not a combat pilot. He has not (and will not) take a life.

Mehmet Merka

Voiced by: Daisuke Ono

A member of the Cabinet Department 6 intelligence unit of the Earth Federation, a first lieutenant, and commanding officer of the Earth Federation's Mastema spec-ops unit. He leads a mission inside Axis in an effort to confirm the existence of supposed Psycoframe research laboratory, and to recover any intelligence if present.

Quentin Fermo

Voiced by: Toshiki Masuda

A Cyber-Newtype who works for the mysterious Birnam paramilitary group, and attacks the Federation's Mastema unit investigating Axis. He is thought to originate from the Earth Federation's Augusta Newtype Research Base, where he might have been the subject of various experiments. His current background and reason for revealing himself in Axis remain unknown. He pilots the RX-78AN-01 Gundam AN-01 "Tristan".

• Ace Custom: Pilots the mysterious RX-78AN-01, a seemingly unique upgraded version of the RX-78NT-1 Alex (a Super Prototype Newtype-use upgrade to the venerable Gundam from the One Year War).
• Composite Character: His Tristan is mostly based on the Alex, but also has parts from the Mark II and the Dendrobium's ability to combine with a giant mobile armor unit. Considering it was built by the Buch Concern, a major salvage company, it may in fact be made out of actual parts from all three.
• Bash Brothers: He and his brother Walter are Birnam's ace pilots, given unique and powerful mobile suits.
• Psychic Powers: An artificially upgraded Cyber-Newtype.

Walter Fermo

Quentin's brother. He pilots the RX-160G Byarlant Isolde.

• Ace Custom: Pilots the RX-160G Byarlant Isolde, a pink-hued (and presumably upgraded) Byarlant, a high-performance mobile suit from the Gryps Conflict.
• Bash Brothers: He and his brother Quentin are Birnam's ace pilots, given unique and powerful mobile suits.
