GEM: Lofty Crimson Jade, Blue Sky Sapphire
Master: Bruce Blanc de Windbloom, Sifr Fran
Lena is the original holder of the Blue Sky Sapphire and Arika's mother, who was believed to have died shortly after an attack on Fuuka Castle 14 years before the events of Mai-Otome. One of the main characters of Mai-Otome 0~S.ifr~, though not the titular character...

  • Ancestral Weapon: She receives the Blue Sky Sapphire from her mother and eventually passes it on to her daughter Arika.
  • Brought Down to Normal - Before the first episode even, which is why the attack on Windbloom Castle could be carried out.
  • Doppleganger Spin - Her favorite method of attack.
  • Even the Girls Want Her - Elliot has a very not subtle crush on her.
  • Expy: Of Rena Yuuki from Future GPX Cyber Formula: The New Challenger.
  • Final First Hug - With Arika, when she destroys Schwartz's Founder tank.
  • Finger-Twitching Revival - After passing out after defeating M9, comes to around the time Sifr declares she wants to live.
  • Folk Hero - Noted to be particularly famous as far as Otome go.
  • Full Potential Upgrade: The Robe she was using before obtaining Blue Sky Sapphire couldn't withstand her power and was breaking up durning the fight more because of that than enemy attacks.
  • Generation Xerox - Inverted and reversed. Lena is more like Sifr's daughter, Nina.
  • Heroic Sacrifice:
    • Went down protecting the princess during the attack on Windbloom fourteen~fifteen years before the series proper.
    • In the manga, she sacrifices herself to become the new Founder system.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal - So terrified of her absurdly excessive power that she remains indecisive about whether to accept an appointment as a Meister.

Sifr Fran

Voiced by: Ami Koshimizu
A young girl travelling to Windbloom to Aries for a school transfer after her mother's death. Like many girls her age, she dreams of becoming an Otome. Sifr is really an illegitimate daughter of the Windbloom royal line, and later becomes queen of Windbloom and mother of Nina Wáng. She dies during the opening sequence of the first episode of the TV series.
  • Generation Xerox - Inverted and reversed. Sifr is more like Lena's daughter, Arika.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni - Red to Lena's blue.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl - Sifr's the tomboy, Lena's the girly-girl.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Gives one to Bruce and the others for keeping secrets from her.
  • "World of Cardboard" Speech - When Una states her intentions and reasons for wanting to kill her, she says that as her mother was proud to have had her as a child, and everyone is trying to save her, she wants to live.
  • Yuri Fan - very curious about about the rumours surrounding what happens between students at Garderobe and judging by the credits of episode three enjoys setting up situations so she can watch Eliot try and seduce Lena.
