The first publicly known costumed hero, who decided to don a mask out of sheer altruism. After a near-death experience during his first attempt, the resultant surgery gave him metal plates that reinforce his bones, damaged nerve endings, and a high pain threshold. While he's a beacon to other costumed heroes in the city, he's still mostly just a comic book dork.

  • Action Survivor: In the first film, Dave is this, having zero training or experience in combat, and even after the training he gets from Mindy in the second film, he still has elements of this.
  • Adrenaline Makeover: At the end of both films.
  • Age-Gap Romance: In the sequel, he had a fling with Night Bitch and implied to be in a relationship with Mindy.
  • Allergic to Routine: Implied in the sequel. At the start, Dave's already quit being a superhero, but found day-to-day life since then monotonous, causing him to try to get Mindy to train him. This is deconstructed in that it leads to him losing several important relationships by getting back into the superhero business. The whole situation comes across as someone with PTSD who can't get back into a normal life without help.
  • All-Loving Hero: Dave finds it screwed-up that nobody cares enough to protect his fellow man, and became Kick-Ass to do something about it. In Kick-Ass 2, he tries to save Chris from falling to his death, despite the fact that he arranged his father’s murder.
  • The Anti-Nihilist: Sees the world as a terrible place, but manages to still be a nice guy and a superhero just out of his love for his fellow man.
  • Ascended Fanboy: A comic book reader who becomes a costumed hero.
  • Badass Adorable: At the end of the day, Dave is still a lovable geek.
  • Battle Couple: With Night Bitch in the sequel until before the Final Battle. Seems to have formed one with Mindy by the end of it.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Happens twice in the first film. First, he saves Hit-Girl from being blown up by a bazooka by killing a bunch of Frank D'Amico's goons with mini-guns attached to the jetpack he was using.He then later manages to save Hit-Girl from being killed by Frank D'Amico by shooting Frank with a bazooka.
  • Blood-Splattered Innocents: Reconstructed near the end of the first film. Seeing his wounds after his and Big Daddy's torture somehow makes him have a Heroic Resolve instead of being traumatized or running away.
  • The Cape: Although he does not actually wear a cape, he is a very public hero who has inspired thousands to stand up for what's right.
  • Classical Anti-Hero: Only in the first film up until the final battle. As for the most part, Dave is just a regular comic book nerd and Nice Guy who wants to help people out, instead of staying on the sidelines. Unfortunately, his loser qualities and inexperience puts him here, before he finally gets better in the final battle.
  • Combat Pragmatist: He can fight very dirty at times. The most memorable examples are killing Frank D'Amico with a bazooka and fighting The Motherfucker in a Kevlar vest.
  • Cool Helmet: Gets one by the end of Kick-Ass 2.
  • Despair Event Horizon: He comes dangerously close to crossing it after his father is murdered. Hit-Girl snaps him out of it and encourages him to use it as motivation to continue working as a superhero.
  • Determinator: This quality makes him famous; the video that introduced the world to Kick-Ass shows him getting continuously beaten down by a group of guys, but he always gets back up.
  • Disability Superpower: His damaged nerve endings, along with the metal plates that reinforce his bones, give him an increased tolerance to pain.
  • Dork Knight: Is a comic book geek who became a costumed superhero out of altruism, and is a genuinely nice guy.
  • Dual Wielding: When in his Kick-Ass costume, he uses two batons wrapped with green electrical tape.
  • Expy: Of Spider-Man, and in regards to his fighting style, Daredevil and Nightwing.
  • Fanservice Pack: Gains a Heroic Build in the second film. Mindy wasted no time in getting a Female Gaze.
  • The Glasses Gotta Go: Whenever he dons his costume.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Nice Guy he may be, but Kick-Ass is willing to put down the worst kind of criminals permanently if necessary. Best shown at the end of the first film when using the minigun.
  • Good Samaritan: Become a costumed hero simply to help others out.
  • Handicapped Badass: Downplayed, but this is his "superpower." After getting hit with a car, he had metal plates put in several parts of his body to reinforce the damaged bones. Combined with some permanent nerve damage, he has increased endurance and tolerance for pain.
  • Heroic Build: In Kick-Ass 2, due to Hit Girl training him.
  • Ideal Hero: Downplayed in the second film. Dave's not perfect, as his lack of combat expertise and experience often bites him in the ass. But out of all the heroes in both films, he's the one who consistently remains the least shady and noble of them all.
  • The Idealist: And rather incredibly, refuses to become a Knight in Sour Armor in spite of all the harsh realities of life he is exposed to. His biggest motivation for becoming a superhero was to help people out first and foremost, not hurt people, in contrast to Hit-Girl and Big Daddy.
  • In-Series Nickname: Big Daddy occasionally calls him "Ass Kick" after watching the video on the Internet of Kick-Ass getting beaten up by four thugs.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: To Mindy. He's nerdy and sweet, while she's brutal and foul-mouthed.
  • Memetic Badass: An in-universe example. Even though the video clip clearly shows him being terrible at being a superhero, because he refuses to give up the fight, he becomes so popular on YouTube that he inspires a comic based on himself as a legitimate superhero along the lines of Green Arrow or Batman.
  • Messy Hair: Has quite the "Jewfro".
  • Mistaken for Gay: Although, it works out much better for Dave in the film than in the comic.
  • Mr. Fanservice: In Kick-Ass 2, you get to see him shirtless with a heavily muscled physique a few times.
  • Nerd Action Hero: A geek who becomes a hero.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: In the second film thanks to the aforementioned Fanservice Pack.
  • Nice Guy: He's very kind-hearted, and became a hero to protect others.
  • Not Afraid to Die: Played straight for the most part. Subverted when kidnapped in the first film, as his reason for not being afraid previously being due to not having anything worth living for, but now he's with Katie.
  • The Paragon: He inspired legions of like-minded heroes. Most of them just do simple community service like picking up trash, but it's still improving the city.
  • Parental Abandonment: His mother died of an aneurysm some time before the start of the story. And in Kick-Ass 2, Chris D'Amico has his father murdered, and texts Dave a photo of his bloody corpse.
  • Protagonist Title: Duh!
  • Save the Villain: Surprisingly attempts to do so with Chris in the sequel despite him having killed Dave's father.
  • Stone Wall: Mainly in the first film. While his offensive skills are rather pathetic, he has very high tolerance for pain thanks to his metal plates and fucked up nerve endings. He becomes more of a Jack of All Stats in the sequel.
  • Super Zeroes: Though he eventually mans up and saves the day.
  • Supporting Protagonist: In the first film. Despite being the main character, the plot with D'Amico is more in-line with Big Daddy and Hit Girl's story arc. He also serves more like Hit Girl/Mindy's Older Sidekick in the final battle.
  • Taking Up the Mantle: Wears Big Daddy's armor at the climax of Kick-Ass 2, and by the end of the film, also inherits Hit-Girl's base.
  • This Loser Is You: A geeky high-school student with a crush on a popular girl who wants to be special; the movie knows its audience. The loser part is slowly inverted over the course of the two films as he Took a Level in Badass and gains a group of True Companions.
  • Took a Level in Badass:
    • He is much better in the finale of the first movie, where he uses a jetpack to block almost all Chris's attacks, while previously he just swings his batons around, hoping that thugs will run into them. He also manages to kill Frank D'Amico with a bazooka.
    • Takes a bigger one in Kick-Ass 2, thanks to Hit Girl training him. The ending also foreshadows that he also updated his Kick-Ass attire akin to Iron Man.
  • Vigilante Man: Becomes a costumed vigilante just because of his love of his fellow man and because he thought it'd be cool.
  • You Killed My Father: In the sequel, towards the end.

Daughter of Damon McCready, raised by her father to fight criminals in general and Frank D'Amico specifically. Both the youngest and most brutal costumed hero.

  • Action Girl: Particularly impressive owing to her age.
  • Affably Evil: Mindy is rather easy to get along with, being a ruthless, trigger-happy killer notwithstanding.
  • Age-Gap Romance: The end of the sequel implies that she's in a relationship with Dave.
  • Age Lift: In the comics, she's 10 in Kick-Ass 1 and 12 in 2. The respective films age her up to 12 and 15.
  • Alliterative Name: Mindy McCready.
  • Anti-Hero: Is nice to most people in general, but to criminals, she has little to no problem killing or torturing them in brutal ways.
  • Badass Adorable: Both adorable and terrifying.
  • Badass Biker: Owns and rides a purple Ducati motorcycle in Kick-Ass 2.
  • Battle Couple: Seems to have formed one with Dave by the end of Kick-Ass 2.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Happened four times. Once when Kick-Ass is about to be sliced open by Rasul, and again when he and Big Daddy are going to be set ablaze by Frank D'Amico's men. The other two times happen in Kick-Ass 2, first when Dave is about to be killed by four thugs in an alleyway, and again when Dave is kidnapped during his father's funeral and about to be killed by Genghis Carnage.
  • Breakout Character: She seems to be the most popular character of the movie. Playing her is even her actress's Star-Making Role.
  • Byronic Heroine: Has a strong passion to punish, as well as kill, criminals wherever she goes, and has been raised to do so since she was a young child. However, due to this, she lost out on her childhood and has many psychological issues.
  • Child Soldier: Courtesy of her father training her.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Exclusively trained as such by Big Daddy, likely to compensate for her lack of size. Every bit of her costume is layered with kevlar and a low-profile bulletproof vest, she wears steel-toed boots and brass knuckles to give her blows stopping power, and she's a crackshot (though not quite as good as Big Daddy). Has no problem with low blows and using glass shards to kill people.
  • Cute and Psycho: She enjoys slaughtering thugs with a little too much childish joy, due to Big Daddy making their brutal vigilantism "a game." By the second movie, Kick-Ass has rubbed off on her a little, and she's no longer nearly so kill-happy (indeed, she only kills when she has no other options) and takes her job very seriously.
  • Cute Bruiser: She's pretty young in both films.
  • Dance Battler: A bit literal. She tries out for the dance team by fighting imaginary enemies.
    Mindy: Four guys, with knives... no escape.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her mother died giving childbirth due to a drug overdose, she was raised since she was a young girl to be a vigilante killing machine, and her father was burned to death when she was just 12 years old.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Her response to getting told to put a dollar in the swear jar is that they need a bigger jar.
  • Deuteragonist: Mostly in the sequel.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She's dismissive towards Dave for much of the first movie, but reconsiders her views on him after he assists her at multiple points during the fight against Frank D'Amico.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In the sequel, her response to being pranked by Brooke. Considering she's been more than capable of easily killing people much larger than her since she was 12, Brooke and her gang got off easy.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Happens three times in the sequel. The first time happens when Dave starts changing into pimp clothing, the second is when she watches Union J's "Carry You" music video, and the third time is when Dave takes his shirt off right before the climax.
  • Domino Mask: Part of her costume.
  • Double Weapon: Uses what appears to be a double-ended glaive as her most common weapon.
  • Dual Wielding: Her double-ended glaive can be detached in two parts.
  • Enfant Terrible: Invoked by her father as part of his revenge.
  • Expy: Of Damien Wayne. Dave/Kick-Ass actually lampshaded it in the second film, much to her dismay.
    Dave: Weren't you like Big Daddy's Robin?
    Mindy: No! Robin wishes he was me!
  • Forgot I Could Fly: A more realistic example. Because she wanted to live a normal life, Mindy saw herself as a normal teen girl, to the point where when she got bullied, she ran home crying rather than fight back. Dave snaps her out of it though.
  • Fragile Speedster: She's an absolute nightmare to fight 90% of the time, with her scenes often filmed as a Mook Horror Show... but when up against someone larger/stronger who is just as skilled as she is, her fights end up a lot less one-sided.
  • Glass Cannon: She could pass as a Lightning Bruiser, but she had a tendency to have her back unguarded, something Big Daddy scolded her for. Also if faced with an opponent with considerable or equal skill, she gets hit way too often despite being able to dish it out.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Good to innocents and fellow crime fighters, and absolutely lethal towards bad guys.
  • Guns Akimbo: Uses a SIG Sauer P232 and a H&K USP Compact towards the end of the first film.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: To Kick-Ass.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: In the sequel, she does her utmost to try and settle down because various people like Marcus express distaste at her superhero life. Unfortunately, the resident Alpha Bitch ruins it all for her, while Dave encourages her to not reject who she truly is.
  • It Gets Easier: Pretty much the walking embodiment of this as she's able to slaughter other humans without so much as a second thought.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Like her father.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Just towards the criminals.
  • Kid Hero: She's been a hero since she was at least 12, possibly younger.
  • Kid Sidekick: To Big Daddy. By Kick-Ass 2, she's a bit too old to qualify.
  • Knight Templar: She thinks the crusade of vengeance she's on is both a game and completely justified.
  • Little Miss Badass: Possibly the epitome of this trope.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: To Dave. She's brutal and foul-mouthed while Dave's nerdy and sweet. She's the one that was a trained fighter and has constantly saved Dave's life and even trained him to be a better fighter.
  • Master of Disguise: She was able to fool the Door Goon into thinking she was a lost and scared little girl.
  • Missing Mom: She died.
  • Mook Horror Show: Boy, howdy, is she ever. It's a rare scene when she goes up against a group of thugs and they're not ALL dead...though the alternative ain't much better.
  • Mugging the Monster: A couple of bullies in her new school make this mistake.
  • The Musketeer: She is equally comfortable in using a double-ended glaive and going Guns Akimbo.
  • No Social Skills: In the second film, she tries to fit into everyday, teenage girl life, but finds that she can't do it.
  • One-Man Army: She can carve through armies of gangbanger mooks like it was nothing.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Thanks to her dad's upbringing, she fights criminals in an extremely brutal fashion.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her mom's already dead at the start of the story. Her dad dies in front of her due to fatal injuries.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Her utility belt. She also tends wear pink outfits in her civilian life.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Is only 5'4, but still manages to kick the asses of criminals who far larger than herself.
  • Pragmatic Hero: Not above simply taking the easiest, and most brutal, option.
  • Purple Is Powerful: As Hit Girl, she wears a purple wig as well as a heavily purple-accented costume.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Marcus has two Swear Jars. She's filled both of them.
    Mindy: You're gonna need a bigger jar.
  • Sixth Ranger: Of Justice Forever towards the climax of Kick-Ass 2.
  • Sociopathic Hero: With three exceptions, she really doesn't give a shit about other human beings and has absolutely no problem with using torture, dismemberment, or murder against those she sees as enemies. This is, unfortunately how she was raised. At the end of the second film, she acknowledges that there's no way she can have a normal life because she thinks of herself as Hit Girl, the bloodthirsty vigilante, and not Mindy McCready, the teenager in High School.
  • Tomboy: Seems to have little to no interest in what girls her age are interested in except for boys, in Kick-Ass 2, and likes knives and guns.
  • Tyke-Bomb: Her father trained her to fight criminals in general and the D'Amico family specifically.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: She fights terrible people, but she's all too eager to resort to torture, mutilation, and murder to get the job done.
  • Use Your Head: Headbutts Frank D'Amico during their fight at the end of the first movie.
  • Vigilante Man: One of the first costumed heroes, and much more shameless about doing whatever is necessary to stop criminals.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Uses weapons a lot more than she uses her fists in combat, but it's justified seeing as she's only a child (albeit, a highly trained one with extensive combat experience) who fights against adult criminals.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist : She wants to take down criminals, protect people and avenge her mother and father. However, her methods of doing so are extremely brutal.
  • The Worf Effect: Realistically played straight, twice. Yes, she's a human killing machine, going through Mooks like they were nothing, but during her Roaring Rampage of Revenge at the end of the film, she is almost killed when she runs out of ammo and was about to be killed by a rocket launcher when Dave/Kick-Ass came out to help with the jetpack her and her father modified with mini-guns. And then, during her fight with Frank D'Amico, it was a Curb-Stomp Battle that nearly killed her and was only lucky because Dave/Kick-Ass was able to grab the rocket launcher from before and use it to kill D'Amico. If it wasn't for Dave, she would have been dead both times. Also done in the sequel, where she would have been killed by Mother Russia if it wasn't for Mother Russia injecting her with adrenaline when Mother Russia thought it was poison.

An ex-cop who, after being framed by Frank D'Amico for corruption, became a vigilante superhero to tear down the criminal enterprise from outside the law. He and his daughter are the real first costumed heroes, but they flew under the radar, unlike Kick-Ass.

  • Action Dad: Someone who trained his daughter to be an Action Girl too.
  • Action Hero: Is a mixture of Batman and the Punisher.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Zigzagged. While his origin as a wronged cop with a vendetta against the mob remains intact, a major twist in the comic is that it's a complete lie, and he's actually a low-life comic book fan who abducted his daughter and became a vigilante just to make his life more interesting. In the film, his backstory is real.
  • Adaptational Badass: Much more hands-on than his comic counterpart.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Because The Reveal from the comic is Adapted Out, the film's portrayal of Damon didn't kidnap his daughter as a baby to raise as his sidekick for a selfish dangerous superhero fantasy.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed. He does still have his share of unpleasant behavior but is far nicer towards Dave (and anyone for that matter) than he was in the comic.
  • And Starring: In the first film's OBB.
  • Anti-Hero: He wants to take down Frank D'Amico by taking out his assets. Big Daddy may be good inside, but his methods push him here.
  • Badass Cape: Similar to Batman.
  • Big "NO!": When he thinks Hit-Girl has been killed.
  • Byronic Hero: A former policeman who is haunted by his past, and fully intends to get his revenge on the cause.
  • The Cowl: More brutal than the average costumed superhero in the "Kick-Ass" series, and is mostly active as Big Daddy at night.
  • Crusading Widower: His wife committed suicide by overdose after he went to jail. Luckily, the doctors managed to save her baby. He became a costumed vigilante after he got released out of prison.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Being framed and sent to jail, as well as his wife's death, did not have a good effect on Damon's psyche.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Like the typical Batman routine. However...
  • Despair Event Horizon: His wife committing suicide after he was thrown in prison for five years.
  • Expy: Of Batman and The Punisher.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Goes from a normal cop to a vigilante murdering criminals and hunting down Frank D'Amico and his men.
  • Good Is Not Soft: The warehouse massacre is a good example.
  • Go Out with a Smile: After seeing his daughter alive, he dies from his burns with a smile on his face.
  • Gun Nut: Has a room full of guns and ammunition.
  • Guyliner: Puts one before donning his Cool Mask.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: As violent, deranged and merciless as he is, he's quite clear he has still a sense of morality left and he's able to distinguish his potential targets from innocent bystanders. It's also implied that once he accomplished his personal vendetta he planned on sending Mindy to school and giving her a childhood like every ordinary girl.
  • Kill It with Fire: Brutally tortured and set on fire by D'Amico's men.
  • Knight in Sour Armor / Knight Templar Parent
  • Large Ham: He's played by Nicolas Cage, who's Adam Westing by channeling himself and Adam West.
  • Leitmotif: Big Daddy Kills, a piece stunningly similar to "In the House, in a Heartbeat" from 28 Days Later. It perfectly embodies Big Daddy's personality. Notably heard in the warehouse scene. Interestingly, a small portion of the tune can be heard in ''Kick-Ass 2;; when Hit-Girl reminisces on him.
  • Lightning Bruiser: He moves fast, can be very stealthy, is a crack shot, is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, and has a utility belt with explosives and flares, and who-knows-what other gadgets on it.
  • Mad Artist: An rare good-guy example. In the apartment where he and Hit Girl live, one of the walls is covered in comic-book villain style pictures of the Big Bad. Damon's obsession with vengeance is not unwarranted, as the man had framed him as a drug dealer, putting him in jail for 5 years, which drove his pregnant wife to suicide.
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: Dead by the end of the first film.
  • Obi-Wan Moment: His last moments involves reviewing to his daughter everything he had taught her regarding combat.
  • Papa Wolf: Is extremely protective of Mindy, even though he regularly puts her in dangerous situations.
  • Parents as People: He does genuinely care about his daughter, and they share a close and loving relationship, but he also effectively robbed her of a childhood and raised her into becoming a foul-mouthed killing machine in his pursuit of Frank D'Amico.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: The reason he's become a vigilante is to pay back Frank D'Amico and his empire for framing him and driving his wife to suicide.
  • Posthumous Character: After the first movie, Hit Girl keeps her father's things and gear in a special Batcave like case, preserving his memory and keeps on going with the mission they had set in the first movie of protecting New York City.
  • Revenge Before Reason: His obsession with revenge prevents him from just living a normal life with his daughter. Unfortunately, he never gets to see his Arch-Enemy die.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Against Frank D'Amico, for framing him and causing his wife's suicide. Unlike in the comics, his reasoning was genuine here.
  • Sacrificial Lion: He's killed by Frank D'Amico's men as a means of signaling the third act of the first movie.
  • Tragic Hero: Being framed and losing his wife drove him to revenge. Unlike the comic, his backstory is true.
  • The Unfettered: Torturing henchmen and turning his own daughter into a killing machine are not off the table when it comes to his one-man crusade against Frank D'Amico.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: In his only onscreen fight scene, he slices throats, uses grenades, shoots to kill with his Beretta 92FS and a Mossberg 500 he took from a mook, and finishes by setting the building on fire.
  • Vigilante Man: Becomes the first costumed vigilante in the Kick-Ass series once he gets out of prison after he is set-up and sent to prison for drug charges and after his wife dies from a drug overdose.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: A rare "good" example. He regularly murders and tortures Frank D'Amico's underlings and turned his daughter into basically a Child Soldier in his crusade, but it shouldn't be undersold that Frank D'Amico is a genuinely terrible man in most respects.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: He used to be an honest cop who was just really good at putting away bad people. Then Frank D'Amico got him locked up on false charges, his wife committed suicide, and both he and his daughter were robbed over several years of their respective lives. Now he's hell-bent on tearing down Frank D'Amico's criminal empire.

Son of Frank D'Amico, his overriding goal in life has always been to win his father's respect and affection.

  • Adaptational Heroism: In both films he is nowhere near as despicable as his comic counterpart.
    • In the comic he gladly brags after being revealed as The Mole and gleefully watches as Kick-Ass is tortured, even blatantly implying that he'll pleasure himself to the thought of it. In the film he genuinely befriends Kick-Ass and even begs his father to spare him when Dave and Damon are captured. Additionally, when he and Kick-Ass come across the burning building, Chris immediately runs in to help the people trapped inside, while in the comic Dave has to prompt him into it.
    • His actions as the Mother Fucker in the sequel are significantly toned down, and he's overall more Laughably Evil than a genuine threat. When ambushing Colonel Stars-And-Stripes in the comic, Chris has him and his dog Eisenhower decapitated and then swaps their severed heads around as a warning to their enemies. While Stars-And-Stripes is still killed in the film, Chris is horrified by the suggestion that they harm the dog at all.
  • Adaptation Name Change: From Genovese to D'Amico.
  • Affably Evil: Actually seems to have been a nice kid before his father's death, and still shows shades of it once he becomes the Motherfucker as he rewards Todd after Todd tells him that Dave's dad is in prison.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Loses both of his legs and his "baton" to his pet shark towards the end of Kick-Ass 2.
  • Anti-Villain: Becomes one after his father's death.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, or at least he tries to be.
  • Ascended Fanboy: He's a comic book geek just like Dave.
  • Ax-Crazy: After his uncle has Javier killed.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: After his father's death, as he's rather incompetent, up to the point that everyone else in the Toxic Mega Cunts is a better fighter than him. However, he still manages to be a threat, as he successfully has the Colonel and Dave's father murdered by Mother Russia and some thugs respectively, has Night Bitch hospitalized after he failed to rape her due to erectile disfunction, and indirectly made vigilante superheroes illegal. Regardless, this doesn't stop him from being Laughably Evil.
  • Body Horror: His fate at the end of the sequel is not pleasant.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: As the Motherfucker.
  • Color Character: Red Mist.
  • Combat Pragmatist: In the final fight with Kick-Ass in 2, he has no qualms turning tail and retreating so that he can get the jump on Kick-Ass using a pipe. Justified since Kick-Ass is now a much better fighter and wearing Kevlar armor, so Chris simply couldn't take him in a straight fight.
  • Create Your Own Villain: He becomes a villain for real after his father's death.
  • Creepy Crossdresser: His Motherfucker costume is made of his mother's bondage gear.
  • Crucified Hero Shot: Invoked despite being the villain, instead he wants to be an "evil Jesus" (with rather mixed results) making this inverted and subverted.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: Of comic book supervillains. In the end, he's just a delusional kid who thinks life is a comic book, whose only "superpower" is his money while being fairly incompetent....but still manages to be somewhat of a threat. While he can't quite get the handle on being a legitimately threatening presence, his actions as a supervillain are surprisingly effective. The cops are essentially all but useless to stop his schemes, and it's only due to the actions of the heroes that his plans to cause wholesale destruction are averted.
  • Despair Event Horizon: The death of Javier cut what few strings of sanity Chris had remaining.
  • Eunuchs Are Evil: His dick gets bitten off by his pet shark at the end of Kick-Ass 2.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones:
    • He really does care about his family, though in the second film, he has developed a hatred for his mother. Javier gets included into this trope after he's introduced.
    • Also downplayed in regards to Kick-Ass in the first film, as it seems that Chris thinks of him as a friend. That won't stop him from wanting Kick-Ass dead in the second film, though.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • After he learned that Dave is nothing in the grand scheme of things, Chris wanted him spared. Unfortunately for him, his father is adamant on having him killed to give a message to other would-be superheroes.
    • Also, killing a dog is going way too far. At least when he's already killing its owner.
  • Evil Costume Switch:
    • After being revealed as The Mole and his father's death, Chris switches to a new costume. It's the same, but with a more menacing mask, the Anime Hair toned down, & the red switched to a creepy orange.
    • In the sequel he switches to an outfit composed entirely of bondage gear. Javier is rather grossed out by it. Justified due to his mom throwing away his Red Mist costume.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl.
    • Mostly to Kick-Ass, considering that they are both inept in combat and that they are both comic geeks who lost both of their parents. Additionally, while Kick-Ass became the world's first "real" superhero, as The Motherfucker Chris decides to become the world's first supervillain.
    • To Hit-Girl in that, like Kick-Ass, in that all three of them have lost their parents, and like Hit-Girl, he went on a vengeful rampage when his dad was killed.
  • Evil Cripple: In the post-credits scene of Kick-Ass 2 we see him alive but without his legs or dick due to his pet shark.
  • Expy: He's a Lonely Rich Kid, his father is the Big Bad, the sequel sets up for an Avenging the Villain story-line, and he was briefly friends with the hero. He's Harry Osborn, minus the glider.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He fully intends to rape a girl, and his end goal is to stream the execution of Kick-Ass live and have him fed to a shark, and then have his gang of villains take out homemade bombs and bring as much destruction to the city as possible.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Much like Dave, he was once just an ordinary high-school student, his dad just happened to lead a criminal empire. In the second film he made it his personal mission to become the world's first real supervillain.
  • Genre Savvy: Figures out that Kick-Ass is a comic geek, and uses that to gain his trust as Red Mist.
  • Guns Akimbo: In the sequel, he wields two of his mother's Para-Ordnance Nite-Tacs with ivory grips once he becomes the Motherfucker. Its subverted when we find out, he doesn't actually have much skill with them, leaving the work to his Toxic Mega Cunts or Mother Russia.
  • Hookers and Blow: Once he becomes the Motherfucker, Chris uses some of his money to hire prostitutes and dancers.
  • Incest Subtext: Fashions his Motherfucker costume out of his mother's bondage gear — though his name also makes it clear.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Zigzagged. His initial attempts at villainy are probably even more ridiculous than Kick-Ass' initial attempts at superheroism. He becomes a significantly bigger threat once he realizes his "superpower" and forms his Legion of Doom, though that doesn't stop him from being Laughably Evil all the way.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • Defied in the sequel, where Mother Russia asks if she should kill Eisenhower the dog. His reply is "Jesus Christ! I'm not that evil".
    • Played straight later when he brags about murdering Stars-And-Stripes, tries raping Night Bitch and finally has Kick-Ass' father murdered in a horribly brutal way, even for mob standards.
  • Laughably Evil: Nearly everything he does, up to and including his attempt to rape Night Bitch is played for laughs.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Due to his bodyguards, he's never been able to interact with kids his age or even make a friend.
  • Mafia Princess: Probably the only reason why he was taking orders. His uncle, the head of the crime family, even tells him to settle down and go off to college because he doesn't want him being in this line of work.
  • The Mole: Only becomes a superhero to track down Kick-Ass for his father. The difference from the comic is that the viewers know he's the mole before the heroes do; he discusses his plan with his father before being seen in costume.
  • Movie Superheroes Wear Black: In the comics, he wore an all-red costume no matter what identity he took on. Here, his Red Mist Costume has a black mask, highlights, and pants. As the Motherfucker, his costume is black and silver with a few touches of red.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: While he never shows any outright racist behaviour, Javier points out that some of the supervillain names he gives to the Toxic Mega Cunts are incredibly problematic, i.e. naming a Black person "Black Death", and an Asian person "Genghis Carnage".
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He is utterly convinced that life plays out like a comic book and doesn't seem to understand that his actions have real consequences.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Thankfully, he's too impotent to carry it out.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: As Red Mist, his outfit is primarily red with black details. He swaps it out for an almost entirely black costume with red details as The Motherfucker, showing he's really gone to the dark side.
  • Sanity Slippage: Happens in varying stages throughout the second film, he slips completely off the edge when Javier dies.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: His "superpower."
  • Self-Made Orphan: By accident, although it doesn't faze him much.
  • Self-Serving Memory: In the second film, he seems intensely fixated on the fact that Kick-Ass blew up his father with a bazooka, even though he knew his father was a mafia boss who attempted to kill Kick-Ass, Big Daddy, and Hit-Girl, and attempted to broadcast the executions of the former two on the Internet. Even when reminded of this, it just motivates him to become a supervillain.
  • Shadow Archetype: To Dave "Kick-Ass" Lizewski.
  • Sliding Scale of Antagonist Vileness: Becomes nearly as evil as his own father in the sequel, he attempts to rape Night Bitch, brutally kills Stars And Stripes, murders Dave's father, and attempts to kill Dave and Mindy at the funeral.
  • Smoking Is Cool: Smokes a joint in the first film, thinking it's cool, while in the "Mist-Mobile" with Kick-Ass. Subverted in that it makes him across as a try hard and joke rather than a badass.
  • Stupid Evil: Revels in gratuitous acts of evil for their own sake, to the point even his henchmen mock him for it. Subverted, however, in that no matter how repulsive his behavior, they do not ever actually abandon him.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: In the second film.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Perhaps a little foul-mouthed from the start, but it's hard to imagine the Chris from the beginning of the first movie doing all the things he ends up doing in the second.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: His primary goal for all of his actions is to win his father's approval.
  • We Used to Be Friends: For a short time before being revealed as The Mole in the first film, he and Kick-Ass seems to genuinely like and respect each other despite their differences.

A powerful and violent crime boss who knows he doesn't spend enough time with his son. After framing a cop for corruption, he finds his organization under assault by a masked vigilante.

  • Adaptation Expansion: His comic book equivalent, Johnny G, spends far less time in focus than Frank.
  • Adaptation Name Change: From Johnny G to Frank D'Amico.
  • Adaptational Origin Connection: Part of Big Daddy's backstory is that Frank framed him and ruined his life to get him out of the way. This is the truth in the films, while in the comic Johnny G doesn't have any real connection to Damon at all, and Damon only chose to target him because his superhero fantasy needed a villain.
  • Adaptational Villainy: He is significantly more sadistic and cruel than his comic counterpart was, even before Big Daddy harms his business. The fact that Big Daddy's origin story is not a lie in the films and Chris is heavily toned down only serves to make Frank look even worse.
  • Affably Evil: Starts the movie as this, being the head of a mob family who is seen having breakfast with his family. His true colors are quickly revealed, showing him to actually be...
    • Faux Affably Evil: Particularly when he thinks he's found Kick-Ass walking on the street. Frank cordially greets the costumed man before beating him to the ground and shooting him dead. However, Frank, at the time, had slipped back to cocaine for the most part. His increasing Villainous Breakdown and the fact he was doing blow, caused him to slip from affable to an evil Mafioso.
  • Arch-Enemy: To the McCreadys, especially Damon/Big Daddy.
  • Bad Boss: Zig-Zagging Trope. When Chris needs someone to turn in to the police to make a name for himself as Red Mist, Frank gives up one of his own men. Then again, the reason he's so angry at Hit-Girl and Big Daddy is because they killed his men.
  • Bald of Evil: Balding, but evil through and through.
  • Big Bad: Of the first movie.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: His clothing and possessions have are usually orange. His son takes after him as a villain, but drops the orange look completely when he becomes the Motherfucker.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Some of his lines are very deadpan, such as when Joe tells him about a new microwave.
    Frank: That is neat. I think you must be confusing me with someone who gives a shit about the fucking lumber!
  • The Don: Head of the Mafia that we see in the first film.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Really does love his son.
  • Kingpin in His Gym: Keeps a Wing Chun dojo in his penthouse and is a capable martial artist.
  • Knight of Cerebus: He's the main reason why the movie has a lot of serious Mood Whiplash moments.
  • Large Ham: He gets louder as he dives into hisbreakdown during the movie.
  • Red Right Hand: The scar on his forehead, which looks like a cross between a spiral and parentheses.

  • Strong and Skilled: Frank is a tall, strong fighter with enough experience and skill to take down Hitgirl.

  • Villainous Breakdown: Has one increasing steadily throughout the movie. He executes someone in broad daylight, goes batshit at his henchmen and starts doing cocaine (which was implied he kicked several years before).

  • Villain Respect: Before he tries to kill Hitgirl he admits to her that he wishes that he had a son like her.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: His interaction with his son is a very weak Pet the Dog.
  • Would Hit a Girl/Would Hurt a Child: He has no qualms in giving a roundhouse kick to an eleven year old girl's face and then giving her a thorough vicious beat down. Though in his defense she is also a near unstoppable killing machine who single handedly slaughtered his entire building full of mooks.

  • Accidental Murder: Chris was only throwing tantrums but has no intention on killing her. Unfortunately, him repeatedly kicking the tanning machine she was in caused it to malfunction and kill her.
  • The Alcoholic: Seems to have dived into this in the second film, if the coffee table stacked with bottles are any indication.
  • Back for the Dead: She only has one scene in the second film, and it has her die by being fried alive.
  • The Coroner Doth Protest Too Much: She insists that her husband's death was a tragic accident.
    Chris: Mom, he didn't die in a fire, he got shot with a fucking bazooka!
  • Covert Pervert: Chris and Javier find a collection of bondage gear in her room after her death.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Fried alive in a tanning bed!
  • Only Sane Man: The only one to consider that going out for revenge might NOT be the best idea. Though there's also the possibility she's the craziest of them all, and has managed to convince herself there's nothing to take revenge for.

  • Boxed Crook: He's bribed the warden of his prison so he can talk freely, and evidently his influence extends far beyond the prison.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: "You think you're the big bad guy, huh? Let me show you what real evil looks like."
  • Composite Character: While he is named after the comics' Ralphie Genovese, and similarly helps to run the family business from inside prison, the film version of Ralph also has elements of Chris' other Evil Uncle from the comic, Rocco, and is implied to fill his role as the Greater-Scope Villain of the series.
  • The Corrupter: Unintentional variant. He only has a minute or two of screentime, yet manages to make Chris go Ax-Crazy, meaning he's responsible for most of the tragedy in the second half of Kick-Ass 2. Though he does realize it was a mistake almost immediately.
    Ralph: Chris, just take some time off! Go to college or something!
    Chris: Why bother? You just taught me everything I needed to know.
  • The Don: Now the real head of the family business, seeing as Chris is off playing supervillain and squandering his own fortune.
  • Evil Uncle: To Chris.
  • Faux Affably Evil: It evidently runs in the family.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: While the second film revolves around Chris embarking on a violent vendetta against Kick-Ass, the D'Amico Crime Family is implied to still be at large with Ralph now at the helm, suggesting that the unproduced third film would have involved Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl facing off against them as they do in the third volume of the comic.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite making The Motherfucker go Ax-Crazy and ordering one of his thugs to kill Javier, he never gets punished for it in the second film.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: He tries (and fails) to make The Motherfucker lie low not because he thought he was being too evil but because he thought that he was bringing too much attention to himself.
  • Slasher Smile: A particularly creepy one.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He's only in the sequel for one brief scene, but it shows that he's the de facto leader of the D'Amico crime family to The Motherfucker's Big Bad Wannabe. It was primary his order to execute Javier that motivates The Motherfucker to cross his Moral Event Horizon in the first place.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In the comic book he was already dead by the time of Kick-Ass 2, shot in the head by Hit-Girl in the interquel.

  • Corrupt Cop: He's on the payroll of Frank D'Amico.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He appears a little disturbed by the live online feed of Big Daddy and Kick-Ass being tortured. Not that he lifts a single finger to do anything or ever complains to Frank.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite being the person most responsible for Big Daddy getting locked up (besides Frank himself), he's never targeted and escapes the film without a scratch. Though his criminal employers are dead, cutting off the income he received from them.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He was the one who personally planted drugs in the Mc Cready home on Frank's orders, leading Damon to become Big Daddy.

  • Affably Evil: Surprisingly, Mother Russia is very sociable for a woman who goes around brutally killing people.
  • Always Someone Better: She's more skilled, physically stronger, and more experienced than Hit-Girl.
  • Ax-Crazy: She ate her cellmate, and genuinely gets a bit too excited in combat.
  • Badass Boast: "We need backup! Eight officers down!!!" "I think you mean ten."
  • Blood Knight: She loves to fight.
  • Brawn Hilda: Is a tall, large, muscular Russian woman who is really good at fighting.
  • Captain Patriotic: Wears a bra and an eyepatch with the Soviet hammer-and-sickle symbol on it, and her supervillain name references her native country.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: First for Mother Russia. Hit-Girl at the end.
  • Death of a Thousand Cuts: Hit Girl kills her with dozens of shards of glass.

  • Oh, Crap!: Has one of these moments when she accidentally injects a syringe of adrenaline, allowing Hit Girl to defeat Mother Russia with little difficulty.
  • Older Than They Look: Spent time in the gulag. The gulag was dissolved in 1960. Unless the film uses the term "gulag" to refer to Russian prison in general, which is much more likely.
  • One-Man Army: Kills 3 police officers with a 3rd-generation Glock 17 she took from a dead police officer, another 5 police officers with improvisation, then one with her machete, and finally, she kills another police officer by snapping his neck.
  • Stereotype: Pointed out In-Universe as Javier explains having a character called Mother Russia alongside another called Motherfucker may be a bad idea.
  • Tattooed Crook: Has tattoos on both arms and on her back.
  • Token Competent Minion: The Motherfucker's underlings among the Toxic Mega Cunts consists of Black Death, a Scary Black Man who ends up getting killed by Hit-Girl in mere seconds, the pint-sized "Big Tony", ex-triad member Genghis Carnage who gets executed via Boom, Headshot! before the final battle... and then there's Mother Russia, an Ax-Crazy murderer hired out of a Russian Gulag. Her first scene has her killing ten cops in under a minute. She also kills Colonel Stars-and-Stripes, and puts up a serious fight in the finale, nearly killing Hit-Girl in a Curb-Stomp Battle. She's easily the only reason why the villains are a legitimate threat in the film.

  • Break the Haughty: While he is tough and a pragmatic fighter/killer when the situation calls for it, even refusing to tell Hit Girl anything. He seemed pretty scared when Hit Girl was gonna make good on her threat to make him eat his own dick. It was just enough to get him to talk.
  • Jerkass: Taunts Colonel Stars and Stripes once he's fatally injured.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Used a broken pool cue to kill two guys.
  • The Napoleon: He's short, and makes no secret of the fact that he'll kill anyone who brings it up.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: The reason he gets his name.
  • Porn Stache: Causes Mindy to call him "pube-face".
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: We never see what Mindy and Dave actually do to him, but it's implied that he's tortured and is forced to eat his penis.

Chris' bodyguard/assistant/probably not butler, he's very loyal to his charge, but more than a little disturbed at the direction revenge is taking him.

  • Affably Evil: He genuinely seems a Nice Guy aside from the fact that he's helping a wannabe supervillain, and he does his best to stop him from going overboard, trying to persuade him to abandon the bad life.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: It's made very clear that he cares about Chris.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Constantly calls Chris out on his politically incorrect naming of characters.
  • Honest Advisor: Doesn't bullshit to his boss even when it's obvious that his idea is either stupid or just plain silly.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: Has a much firmer grip on reality than Chris, and does most of the work organizing the Toxic Mega Cunts.
  • Morality Chain: He tries to keep a lid on Motherfucker's more insane ideas. When he dies, Chris goes off the rails and promptly starts murdering people and kicking dogs (metaphorically - he's not that evil) like there's no tomorrow.
  • Morality Pet: For Chris.
  • Only Sane Man: The only mentally balanced person on the team.
  • Parental Substitute: Becomes one for Chris, who calls him the only family he has left.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Doesn't seem all that interested in being evil. He mostly just tries to mitigate Chris' borderline-insanity and to keep him from self-destructing.

  • Advertised Extra: He's only in the film for about eight minutes, despite being featured heavily in the promo materials. Considering it's Jim Carrey who plays him, this isn't much of a surprise.
  • Anti-Hero: He used to be a mob enforcer, and in spite of his reform he's willing to let his dog Eisenhower bite a gangster in the balls to interrogate him.
  • The Atoner: Came to regret what he did and became a born-again Christian.
  • Badass Creed: "Everyone should get what they deserve," meaning that those in need of help should be helped and those who do bad things should be punished... violently.
  • Berserk Button:
    • He really doesn't seem to like pedophiles and perverts.
    • Minor one, but as a born again christian, he doesn't like hearing those take the lord's name in vain.
  • Batter Up!: Uses an axe handle that's painted red, white, and blue to fight criminals.
  • Being Evil Sucks: After surviving his encounter with Big Daddy in the first film.
  • Captain Patriotic: Invokes this image with his costume, axe handle and the American flags in the Justice Forever HQ.
  • Colonel Badass: Not an actual colonel, but it's invoked as part of his superhero persona.

  • Good Is Not Soft: He's a Nice Guy outside of combat. He's all business when it comes to combat, and his enemies get his bad side.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Had one pre-story- he apparently used to be an enforcer for the D'Amicos, but left the business when he found religion.
  • Large Ham: It's Jim Carrey, after all.
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: He's the first to be killed as a warning of what's to follow.
  • Nice Guy: After reforming, he encourages Insect Man to embrace his sexuality and not get himself down about it, supports Remembering Tommy in their efforts and encourages Kick-Ass to keep fighting the good fight, reminding him that he's the reason Justice Forever exists.
  • Off with His Head!: Mother Russia kills him with a Neck Snap before decapitating his head from the body as a warning.
  • Perma-Stubble: Has rather thick stubble.
  • Real Men Love Jesus: A born-again Christian who hates hearing God's name being used in vain.
  • Redemption Equals Death: Switched sides and became a true hero before getting offed by the Toxic Mega Cunts.

  • Batter Up!: Uses a bat wrapped in tinfoil to fight crime. Upgrades it to have spikes pop out.
  • Black and Nerdy: Has a lot of fun being a superhero, and almost seems to regard fighting crime as a game.
  • The Lancer: After Stars and Stripes' death, he more or less takes over with this role for Justice Forever.
  • Nice Guy: Smiles nearly all the time, was sympathetic and wanted to avenge Marty's parents after hearing Marty's fake backstory, and once costumed vigilantes are outlawed, helps chase a thief while wearing a suit and tie with a smile on his face.
  • Red Is Heroic: His costume is mainly Maroon colored.
  • Science Hero: What he invokes as a superhero because he could "be whatever he could be" as a superhero.

    Insect Man

  • Action Dad and Action Mom: It's their point.
  • Badass Pacifist: Played with, they admit they don't like fighting and genuinely want to help people, but when Kick-Ass is in danger, The Mother Half is the first to charge in with a brick filled purse and the Father half not too far behind with Stars and Stripes' Axe Handle.
  • Battle Couple: Both prove to be fairly decent fighters.
  • Epic Flail: Tommy's Mum uses a handbag full of bricks.
  • Happily Married: Kiss in the middle of the final fight in Kick-Ass 2, and never seem to argue.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: In the final fight, they save Kick-Ass from some Mooks.
  • Missing Child: They have no idea if their child is still alive or dead.
  • Take Up My Sword: Tommy's Dad uses Col. Stars and Stripe's axe handle in the final fight, and showing that he is quite effective with it.

  • Bumbling Dad: Tries to be a competent father, but seems to have some trouble connecting with his son.
  • Cool Old Guy: As shown in the flashbacks of the sequel, he was the one that helped Dave start his interest with comics by hanging a Mark Millar comic on the wall.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The way he gets murdered is ridiculously brutal, even for the film's standards.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Claims to be Kick-Ass to the police to prevent Dave from being arrested, and dies for it- he acknowledges the possibility long before it happens.
  • Papa Wolf: When push comes to shove, he does what he has to to protect his son.
    James: Someday, when you have kids of your own, you'll understand.
  • Sacrificial Lion: He's murdered by the Motherfucker's goons to spite Dave.

    Marty Eisenberg

  • Adaptation Expansion: Significantly more screen time than the comic.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Saves Dave from a Toxic Cunt goon with the Puke Taser in the finale.
  • Captain Ersatz: An in-universe one for Kick-Ass. His costume is an exact copy, only with the colours reversed, and all the names he suggests for himself are blatantly derivative of Kick-Ass.
    Dave: (reading Todd's list of names) Whoop Ass, Kick-Ass-Man, Doctor Kick-Ass?!
  • Fat and Skinny: The Skinny to Marty's Fat.
  • Flanderization: While Todd was airheaded in the first film, he was still relatively self-aware, but his naivety is significantly dialled up in the sequel. After being turned down by Justice Forever, he joins the Toxic Mega Cunts because he thinks they're another superhero team, even though they openly identify as villains, and gladly discloses Dave's identity to the Mother Fucker without any consideration for the consequences.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: After accidentally getting Dave's dad killed by revealing that Kick-Ass is not Dave's dad, he eventually realizes he just isn't a villain through a case of Everyone Has Standards, rejoins the heroes and saves Marty. Still gets no punishment for what he did though.
  • Jailbait Wait: After seeing Hit Girl save Kick-Ass & Big Daddy, Todd exclaims that he thinks he's in love with her, only for Marty to point out that she's around 11. He then declares he'll save himself for her.
  • Karma Houdini: He doesn't receive much punishment for indirectly causing the death of Dave's father.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Though he doesn't quite realise that something that bad is going to happen from his doing so.
  • Sixth Ranger Traitor: For the Toxic Mega Cunts, but not on purpose.
  • Those Two Guys: With Marty.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: You see those above spoiler tags? He isn't a Walking Spoiler, but, unknowingly, his action of bragging to Chris about whom Kick-Ass actually was sets up the final act of the sequel.

Dave's girlfriend, who is known for hanging out with gay guys. Significantly more sympathetic than in the comic. Until the sequel, that is.

  • Adaptational Heroism: She's much smarter and sweeter than her comic book counterpart. This falls down in the sequel, though.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: Apparently a firm believer, as she taunts Dave in the sequel that the guy she is cheating on him with is much bigger and thus better.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Her sole appearance in the second film indicates she is not the Nice Girl she appears to be in the first film.
  • Demoted to Extra: In the second film she only gets one scene and disappears for the rest of the movie.
  • Fag Hag: She wishes.
  • Fanservice: The scene where she enlists Dave (whom she thinks is gay at the time) to help her apply spray tan.
  • Girl Next Door: Fits the mould in the first film as Dave's long time crush.
  • Karma Houdini: The sequel movie seems to have her Kick the Dog to set her up for the same horrific fate her colder comic counterpart receives. She disappears after that one scene however.
  • Not What It Looks Like: She see Dave hanging out with Mindy and instantly assumes he's cheating on her without even giving him a chance to explain himself. It’s possible she was just projecting and looking for an excuse to dump him.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The reason that she was largely absent from the sequel was due to the actress being busy on Nikita.
  • Satellite Love Interest: She is every bit Dave's dream girl to the core, even to the point of immediately forgiving him for pretending to be gay and having sex with him right afterward, plus having sex just about anywhere—including on a dumpster. She is given an occupation and her interest in comics is touched upon, but her entire character ultimately centers around being Dave's perfect girlfriend. The most important role she plays aside from that is sending Dave after Razul, which leads to him meeting other important characters.
  • Secret-Keeper: She learns that Dave is Kick-Ass early in the first movie, and keeps it secret even after their breakup early in the second.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Her relationship with Dave. And she dated Rasul because she thought he was a kind woobie before realizing he was far from it.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: In the original comic of the sequel, the Motherfucker kills her parents and then rapes her. She's spared that fate, leaving Night Bitch to almost get raped by Motherfucker.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: In the second movie where she makes a 180 from the good-hearted person she was in the first movie to a cheating jerk. This does bring her closer to her comic counterpart but the contrast is so immense that she feels like a completely different character from the previous film.
  • The Unfair Sex: Dumps Dave in the second movie just based on an assumption rather then any clear facts. And then has the nerve to say she was cheating on him with someone else, though if she meant it or not isn't really clear.

    Marcus Williams

Damon's only remaining friend, who is deeply disturbed about his revenge quest and what it means for his daughter.

  • Bash Brothers: He and Damon are implied to be this when the latter was still a cop.
  • By-the-Book Cop: He doesn't approve of vigilantes, though that may be partly because he doesn't want Mindy being hurt or killed.
  • Canon Immigrant: Was a character created specifically for the first movie, but ended up being introduced in the comics, playing the same role.
  • Papa Wolf: To Mindy, especially in the second movie.
  • Promotion to Parent: He's Mindy's Parental Substitute while Damon was in jail. Happens again after Damon's death.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He's the only one in the NYPD to show slight objection to Kick-Ass being on the wanted list along with other masked characters; since he knows for a fact that Kick-Ass and the Justice Forever are doing community service.
  • Secret-Keeper: Knows that Mindy is Hit-Girl. By the end of the second film, it appears as if the entire NYPD now knows that Mindy is Hit-Girl.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Delivers one to Big Daddy.

The Alpha Bitch of Mindy's high school, she takes Mindy under her wing under the impression that she'll make a good underling.

  • Alpha Bitch: She makes no secret of the fact that her mom bribed the dance coach, for example, and takes great pains to arrange for the social downfall of those who annoy her.
  • Bait the Dog: Poor Mindy. Brooke tries to remake her as a minion, until Mindy appears to be a threat to her.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: While it seems she was trying to be nice to Mindy at the beginning, she ended up becoming a full blown bitch towards her after Mindy steals the spotlight.
  • False Friend: Befriended Mindy at the beginning of the sequel and quickly ends up bullying her when she becomes a threat to her queen bee status.
  • Hate Sink: She is the most dislikable character in the film, mercilessly tormenting Mindy out of pure spite. To say her comeuppance was satisfying is putting it lightly.
  • Humiliation Conga: Mindy gets back at her by making her vomit and soil herself in public at the same time.
  • Kick the Dog: The way she publicly humiliated Mindy in the forest was just terrible. Her fate afterwards was totally deserved.
    Brooke: Poor Mindy. What did you think? The cool kids saw something special in you and invited you to your first party, where you'd sip your first beer and finally suck face for the first time? Newsflash, you're not special. Fuck with the queen bee, and you're gonna get stung.
  • Mugging the Monster: She bullied Hit-Girl, who could have ripped her arm and beat her to death with it and has the lack of qualms necessary to do so. Brooke got off easy, although she gets hit with the Sick Stick instead.
  • Potty Failure: Courtesy of the Sick Stick.
  • Queen Bee: The center of the school's social scene.
    Brooke: You mess with the queen bee and you get stung.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Attempts to give one to Mindy. It fails miserably.
  • Smug Snake: God, she loves to show off.
  • Teens Are Monsters: Mindy calling her out emphasizes this and the fact she becomes borderline sociopathic when she is tormenting Mindy. All of her torment comes to bite her in the ass with the Sick Stick though.
