! Giorno Giovanna (Stand: Gold Experience[[spoiler: Requiem]])
->Voiced by: Creator/DaisukeNamikawa (''All-Star Battle, Eyes of Heaven''), Creator/RomiPark (''Vento Aureo'' video game)
->[[spoiler:Gold Experience Requiem]]: Creator/MisaWatanabe (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/RomiPark (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

->''"When I have to repeat something that only needs to be said once... It means that the listener is unintelligent. I've told you that I don't ''have'' money, because I've already paid. Please, don't make me repeat myself a third time."''

Son of Dio Brando and conceived after Dio had transferred his head to Jonathan Joestar's body, Giorno Giovanna is a part of both the Joestar and Brando bloodlines. His goal was to join up with the mob and set things right from within. As soon as he joins, he gets roped into traveling with Buccellati's gang of Stand users, eventually protecting their boss' daughter. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, the real reason for the boss wanting to meet his daughter was to kill her. They rescue her and make it their goal to kill the boss instead.]] Giorno is calm and cold under almost any circumstance, but much like his bloodline carries a fierce and noble goal, and has an unbelievably deep amount of rage boiling inside him. Unlike everyone else in his line who are all [[LargeHam hammy]] Giorno perfers a mute, calm rage, though is capable of blowing his top when the need arises.

His Stand, Gold Experience, can give life to inanimate objects, usually by turning them into animals, or by giving life to someone to either make them lose sync with their actions [[spoiler: or revive them from the dead]]. It also once deflected attacks done to the creatures back to the attacker and later on Giorno finds a way to heal with it.

Note that for the ThemeNaming of [=JoJo=], his name is romanized as Joruno Jobana, though during Part 5 Araki would romanize it as [=GioGio=]. It's still pronounced the same. Also apropos to the Italian setting, the fans refer to this part by its Italian title ''Le Bizzarre Avventure di [=GioGio=]''.
* AbusiveParents: His mother was neglectful and his stepfather beat him, which made him an ExtremeDoormat as a child. And let's not even go into detail about his real old man Dio. [[spoiler: However, through reading Dio's past and through things like ASB, it's likely that Dio [[PetTheDog would actually treat Giorno very well.]]]]
* AccidentalMurder: What jumpstarted the plot. Giorno ''did'' warn Luca [[AttackReflector not to attack the frog.]] [[AssholeVictim Not that he cared.]]
* AlliterativeName: Played with; his original name, Haruno Shiobana, isn't alliterative, but the new name he chose for himself is.
* AnimalMotif: Ladybugs, which are a sign of good luck.
* AnimeHair: He has what can only be described as hair tubes or cornets.
* AttackReflector: Any damage taken by the animals Gold Experience creates is transferred to the attacker leaving the animal unharmed.
* AwesomeMomentOfCrowning: [[spoiler:The last shot of Vento Aureo is literally this for him, as he becomes TheDon of the Passione Mafia in a tribute to the final scene of Film/TheGodfather.]]
* BadassFamily: Considering he's the son of a BigBad using the body of one of the most {{Badass}} Joestar's.
* TheBeastmaster: He can turn inanimate objects into animals and then exercise control over them.
* BerserkButton: If you've harmed any innocent bystanders, pray that anyone ''but'' Giorno kills you.
* BigScrewedUpFamily
* BirthmarkOfDestiny: As with all Joestar family members, he has a star on his neck.
* BishieSparkle: a [[http://www.mangatraders.com/view/file/104229/page/52 Yes]] [[http://www.tenmangas.com/chapter/JojosBizarreAdventure445/159353-9.html indeed.]]
* {{Bishonen}}: The first [=JoJo=] to be this trope, given that his part is when the series' ArtEvolution was solidified.
* BroughtDownToBadass: [[spoiler: A panel towards the end of Part 5 indicates that the arrowhead has dropped out of Giorno, implying he loses Gold Experience Requiem.]]
* ButNotTooForeign: Like Josuke, he's part British and part Japanese. He grew up in Italy with his Japanese mother and Italian stepfather, changing his name from Haruno Shiobana to Giorno Giovanna.
* BullyHunter: More subtle than most, but Giorno's dream to become the Don of Italy is so that the Mafia will once again ''protect'' the weak and innocent as they once did, rather than prey on and victimize them.
** Point in fact, witness his terrifying TranquilFury as he tricks Polpo into swallow a gun he turned into a banana for casually murdering a helpless old janitor who worked at his school.
* CallBack: It's easier to just [[http://jazztronic.tumblr.com/post/112324577648 link to this post]] than go through every single reference he has to Dio Brando.
* ChickMagnet: Early on in Vento Aureo, he's shown in a caf&eacute, with a bunch of girls positively swarming over him.
* ColdHam: He's one of the more reserved [=JoJos=], but shares their penchant for posing and dressing flamboyantly.
* CompositeCharacter: He has aspects of both Jonathan and Dio in his personality, tempered by his own cool-headedness. His stand also seems to combine The Ripple (infusing living things with life-energy), The World (said living things are mentally stuck in time), vampirism (manipulating and combining organic matter), and the Pillar Men (transforming objects and creatures) without attacking by detaching limbs, which isn't in itself painful.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Josuke and Giorno both became the people they are today after a chance meeting with two unnamed men, but the way they turned out could not be any more different. Josuke is an easygoing but incredibly passionate person whose only goal is to spend his days with his friends and family in the hometown he loves so much. Giorno is an extremely cool-headed person with a ruthless and driven personality whose goal is to impose his own RobinHood type of ideology upon the biggest mob in Italy. This even extends to their role in the story, with Josuke often standing front and center alongside his allies, and Giorno preferring to provide assistance and advice unless specifically provoked. Giorno actually takes after his father Dio more than he takes after the Joestar lineage.
* CreatingLife: His powers revolve around this concept, either transforming inorganic matter into animals or plants or heightening senses of others to amplify pain. [[ItMakesSenseInContext He could even transform a pistol into a banana!]] [[spoiler:Then his Stand went Requiem...]] Ties in with TheBeastmaster.
* CurbStompBattle: Gives one to [[spoiler: Diavolo after Gold Experience evolves]].
* {{Determinator}}: ''He infected himself with an incurable virus that melts flesh to defeat an enemy, so most definitely ''
* {{Dhampyr}}: Though only in name; he has no powers extraneous to his Stand and is in fact less physically active than the majority of protagonists in the series.
* TheDon: Has wanted to become a "[[NeighbourhoodFriendlyGangsters Gang-Star]]" since he was a kid out of reverence for the mafioso whose life he saved. [[spoiler:And becomes one at the end of the story by virtue of nearly every other possible candidate ending up dead and Passione trying to ensure Diavolo's death doesn't come out.]]
* DubNameChange: Gold Experience becomes Golden Wind in the English version of ''All-Star Battle''. And guess what Vento Aureo translates into?
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Well, he's not exactly ''evil'', and it's not made explicitly clear how he feels about his biological father, Dio, but he DOES actually keep a photo of him in his wallet. This at least implies ''some'' degree of value on Giorno's part.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: When he got his Stand, his hair turned from black to blonde, and he switched from a generic boyish haircut to his current AnimeHair.
* ExtremeMeleeRevenge: Thoroughly pulverizes [[spoiler:Cioccolata]] for [[NoKillLikeOverkill seven straight pages]] in the manga [[PayEvilUntoEvil as retribution]] for making so many others suffer in the past.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
%%* GlassCannon: Gold Experience's stats lean towards being a FragileSpeedster, though Buccellati notes that his life giving effect makes it very painful to get punched by him.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He can be compassionate, understanding, and noble, but make no mistake: if Giorno knows you thrive on the suffering of others, he will consider you an obstacle to be eliminated in his goal of cleaning up the Mafia. Basically, think of him with Jonathan's idealism and Dio's ruthlessness.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: Like Josuke, his Stand can be used to heal injuries. Unfortunately, since that's not what it was made for, the process hurts, leading to an... [[HoYay interesting moment]] between himself and Mista later on in the series.
* GreenThumb: Can turn inanimate objects into plants.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Invoked early on during Giorno's fight with Buccellati, who mocks the usefulness of Gold Experience "imbuing life" in a fight. Bruno gets to learn first hand that "overfilled with life" includes charming side effects like losing coordination of your body and feeling the agonizing moment of your face being pounded in, stretched out over several minutes.
* HeroicBastard: Probably; it seems unlikely that Dio married Giorno's mom.
* TheHero/TheLancer: The Hero of Passione's group and the Lancer to Buccellati's Leader.
* HitStop: Gold Experience can do this.
* ImpossiblyCoolClothes: Giorno is the [[IncrediblyLamePun gold standard]] which all other [=JoJos=] aspire to.
* InSeriesNickName: [=GioGio=].
* InTheBlood: Being the son of their ArchEnemy but carrying the DNA of the Joestar bloodline, Joseph and Jotaro send Koichi to find out which side of his lineage he takes after. Fortunately for everyone involved, Giorno is a NobleDemon on his worst day.
** The [[{{Kiai}} "MUDAMUDAMUDA"]] and "WRRRRRRYYYYYYYY!" are sure not from the Joestar lineage, though. Apparently the latter isn't just limited to vampires (although Giorno is a [[{{Dhampyr}} half-vampire]]).
* {{Irony}}: Given the massive amount of HoYay between Jonathan and Dio in part 1, [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything the fact that he takes after both and technically has two dads]], is extremely ironic.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: While Koichi was sent to scout him out, Giorno is never informed about the history of the Joestar bloodline and Dio Brando. Koichi even notes that Jotaro seemed to be making it a point to ''avoid'' meeting him. Considering the last time Jotaro ran into a Brando, it makes sense.
* MagneticHero: It's even lampshaded by his companions.
* TheMole: Joined the mafia to kill the boss and take his place, and by the end of the story the only one who knows this is Buccellati.
* MythologyGag: His Stand's main power is similar to Kars' ultimate ability of creating/altering life on a cellular level (Kars is also the originator of vampirism, making him Giorno's figurative granddaddy). The secondary ability of slowing down people's mental processes (i.e. speeding up time for them so that everything is too fast to keep up with) causes them to freeze in place like his father's stand ability.
* NeighbourhoodFriendlyGangsters: After saving the life of one of these when he was younger, it became his life's mission to become one himself.
* NoSell: [[spoiler: One half of Gold Experience Requiem's powers,]] allowing Giorno to NoSell anything and everything. [[spoiler: It even gives a NoSell to the ''universe resetting''.]]
* OneOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Gold Experience has mediocre strength, which contradicts the high power typical of a [=JoJo's=] Stand (Aside from Jonathan and Joseph), forcing Giorno to be more clever in his Stand's usage.
* PutOnABus: He doesn't show up again after Part 5, despite other [=JoJos=] typically appearing again after their own parts. Likely done on purpose since [[spoiler:Gold Experience Requiem would've been pretty damn useful against [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart6 Enrico Pucci's Made In Heaven]]. In fact, he [[WildMassGuessing could still be alive in the alternate universe!]]]]
** DidntThinkThisThrough: [[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle Although it's]] [[OhCrap useless against]] [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart4 Bites The Dust.]]
* RealMenWearPink: He machine-gun punches villains to death, is the son of the ultimate villain of the entire series, is a member of the Mafia who killed two other members of the Mafia to get his spot (they had it coming though), [[spoiler: becomes the head of said mafia through punching the right people enough times]], [[MadeOfIron doesn't flinch]] when shoving his eye back into his skull...and he looks absolutely ''fabulous'' while doing it.
* ResetButton[=/=]StoryBreakerPower: [[spoiler: His Gold Experience Requiem exists outside the concept of time, space, and reality, and can reset absolutely '''any''' attack ''and'' the attacker's will to zero. Oh, and if it kills you, you keep on dying for all eternity, each time in an exotically different way!]]
* SlipknotPonytail: His braid comes undone in the final battle when [[spoiler:Gold Experience Requiem awakens.]]
* TheStoic: He's not quite as expressive as his comrades.
* SwissArmySuperpower: Giorno's Stand; despite it seemingly only having the ability to create life and organic matter, he puts it to incredible use. From using it to age things to their death, to using it to accelerate one's mind to the point that it cannot catch up with one's own body (due to it also amplifying one's senses), to tracking a being by using any piece of it that broke off and could thus be turned into an animal as it wasn't alive. In one case, he [[spoiler:got infected with a guaranteed fatal flesh-eating virus that would destroy him in half a minute. He [[BeyondTheImpossible cured it regardless]] by morphing an inanimate object that was slaked with said virus into a snake that was immune to said virus, and had it inject its own blood into his body to be used as a vaccine]]. Ladies and gentlemen, we have found a cure for AIDS!
* TimeMaster: His stand's abilities seem to have a temporal component -- he can accelerate the growth of life, desync someone's sense of time, and speed up healing. [[spoiler: The biggest clue to this aspect of his stand is the Requiem version's ability to be completely fixed in the timeline within a single timeframe, nullifying and reversing any actions taken against him.]]
** ItRunsInTheFamily: [[TheHero Giorno]] has simliar powers (Speed up time by imbedding life with GE, maintain current status withing a single timeframe for GER) as his [[BigBad dad]] (Slow down and/or [[TimeStandsStill stop time]]) and the Pillar Men (Create/Destroy/Alter life on a cellular level).
* TranquilFury: He never gets consumed by anger, but he will ''not'' forgive cruelty, whether monstrous or indifferent. For the former, see his determination to put a stop to Diavolo's crimes. For the latter, see his determination to avenge the innocent janitor killed by Black Sabbath during his "test."
* WeakButSkilled: Not as obvious as some other examples in the series, but the destructive power of Gold Experience is nothing to write home about compared to the stands of the previous main protagonists(only a C as opposed to Star Platinum's and Crazy Diamond's A), and it's durability is pretty sub-par. But with his life giving abilities, he can create plants and animals to benefit him, turn the opponent's attacks against them, and make them lose sync with their bodies.
* WhiteSheep: The only member of the Brando bloodline not to end up a villain or {{Jerkass}}.
* WindsOfDestinyChange: [[spoiler:Gold Experience Requiem was able to violate Epitaph's prediction of Giorno's death.]]

! Bruno Buccellati (Stand: Sticky Fingers)
-> Voiced by: Creator/NoriakiSugiyama (''All-Star Battle, Eyes of Heaven''), Creator/TakahiroSakurai (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

->''"If you don't start talking, the torture will keep on escalating! You've seen the '''culprit'''... Did they tell you to stay quiet? Who attacked Luca?! I'll have you talking soon enough."''

The leader of one of Passione's assassination squads. He helps spur Giorno into joining Passione and acts somewhat as his advisor. Bruno is driven by his loyalty to the townspeople, as well as the desire to clean up crime in his division. Completely serious 100% of the time, he only ever smiles once.

His Stand, Sticky Fingers, can create zippers for a number of needs. Warping himself or objects, passing through walls, attaching limbs, and so on are on the list of things he can do.
* AlliterativeName
* AppendageAssimilation: Sort of. Buccellati can use his zippers to attach other people's body parts to himself. This aspect can also be used for healing purposes by reattaching a severed limb, as in the case of [[spoiler:Abbacchio's hand.]]
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: He is a perceptive fighter, having been able to quickly deduce the weaknesses of King Crimson despite being fatally injured and take advantage of them. He is able to analyze his opponents' fighting style, and perceive their weakness.
* BadassNormal: Has killed two gangster to protect his father...at the age of twelve!. And with no Stand power.
* BigGood: Of ''Vento Aureo''.
* {{Bishonen}}
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: He was first seen with a relaxed and sadistic attitude (possibly to lower Giorno's guard and intimidate him) only in his debut arc when he was investigating Giorno for the death of Leaky-eye Luca. Afterwards he had a very serious and unflinching demeanor throughout the story.
* CursedWithAwesome: [[spoiler:The bad news is you're [[OurZombiesAreDifferent dead]]. The good news is you're completely immune to one of the scariest and [[BodyHorror nastiest]] Stands in the series.]]
* DeadAllAlong: [[spoiler:He really is dead after his first confrontation with King Crimson. It's only Gold Experience and his own resolve that keep him going up to the end.]]
* DetachmentCombat: He can do this with his zippers, detaching an arm and reeling it out on a length of zipper.
* TheDeterminator: [[spoiler:How determined? At one point he sectioned his heart apart into several pieces to avoid detection, almost dying in the process. Later on? He died, but through sheer willpower alone, after Gold Experience healed his body, his spirit reanimated his dead body]].
* DubNameChange: Rather than try to get the rights from the Rolling Stones, ''All-Star Battle'' turns Sticky Fingers into Zipper Man in English, which may have been an idea from Araki himself.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Especially near the beginning.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: His Stand's power is creating zippers. In classic Araki fashion, however, the uses he finds for this power can tend to make you forget Giorno's supposed to be TheHero... [[SupportingProtagonist Which may be the idea.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He turns out to be a lot nicer than his first impression suggests.
* {{Kiai}}: [=AriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAriAri!=] Arrivederci!
* ManInWhite: His attire is composed of an all-white coat covered in small black spoon-like symbols.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: [[spoiler:Revenant type]].
* SergeantRock: he commands the respect his team and doesn't hesitate to fight the enemy himself.
--> '''Buccellati''': To complete my mission and protect my men, having to do both at once is what makes being an officer so tough. Are you ready? [[BadassBoast Because I am.]]
* ShootTheHostageTaker: Did this to [[spoiler: Secco]] when he took Doppio hostage.
* SlidingScaleOfUndeadRegeneration: [[spoiler:Type 2: No rotting, but no healing either.]]
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Bruno or Blono? Buccellati or Bucciarati? For his surname, it's probably the former, since it's also the name of [[EdibleThemeNaming an Italian pastry]]. However, [[http://www.araki-jojo.com/90/ not even]] [[http://www.araki-jojo.com/238/ Araki]] can decide which to choose. If ''All-Star Battle'' has anything to say on it, it's "Bruno Buccellati" in English-speaking countries.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: A lot of Vento Aureo focuses around him rather than Giorno. He gets the most fights, was the person who took Trish to meet the boss, first encountered his Stand, has the most prevalent character arc, and the entire epilogue is centered around him.
* SupportingLeader: He leads his own sub-gang...
** SupportingProtagonist: ...and is the first to lend meaningful support to protagonist, Giorno Giovanna.
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: Bruno eventually finds out that drugs are being sold to minors in his part of town but is troubled about how to take care of the drug dealers, since they support Passione. He ends up having to ignore the problem until Giorno comes along.
** [[spoiler:Upon discovering Diavolo's true intentions for Trish, he and Giorno decide that protecting Trish is the right thing to do, so they defect from the gang and hunt down their boss.]]
* {{Zipperiffic}}: He not only has zippers on his outfit, but his Stand allows him to attach zippers anywhere. Bucciarati makes zippers far more badass than they should be.

! Leone Abbacchio (Stand: Moody Blues)
-> Voiced by: TaitenKusunoki (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/TetsuInada (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A former police officer who came to experience the contradictions of his job. At one point, he was bribed by a man who worked with a prostitute to help repay her father's debts. Abbacchio reluctantly accepted. Later, he and his partner arrived at the scene of a break in of an old man's house and the theif was none other than the man who bribed him. [[MutualKill His partner intervened and shot the man at the cost of his own life.]]

His stand, Moody Blues, can replay events that occurred in whatever the location he's present in. It can also Shapeshift into any individuals that were present at the time and mimic their previous actions.

* AnimeHair: He has long hair that sticks up in the back in a gravity-defying manner.
* AnyoneCanDie: [[spoiler:The first to die in Vento Aureo.]]
* BloodFromTheMouth
* TheCameo: In ''All-Star Battle'', he uses Moody Blues to [[MundaneUtility operate the sound test]].
* DeadManWriting: [[spoiler:With his last ounce of strength, he uses Moody Blues to leave an imprint of Diavolo's face on a statue]].
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:He is killed without much of a fight, since his Stand is defenseless when in rebroadcast mode]].
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Leone" means "lion" and "abbacchio" is a type of lamb.
* FaceHeelTurn: Before joining the mafia, he used to be a police officer. He was very sincere about protecting people, but not long after he was stationed in his area, he realized his job had a lot of contradictions and became a...
** DirtyCop: He was not above taking bribes by a man that working with a prostitute. It later came back to haunt him when the same man shot and killed his partner.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HeKnowsTooMuch: The very reason [[spoiler:Diavolo kills him]] is because his abilities could've revealed who he was.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Initially he antagonizes Giorno as the new member and does not trust him until the fight with Illuso.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Has long white hair.
* MeaningfulName: Moody Blues might refer to his near-constant grumpy temperament.
* MundaneUtility: The way Leone's stand works can allow him to fly a plane.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: When about to escort Trish to Diavolo, Giorno volunteers but Abacchio insists Bucellati should go instead. [[spoiler: This leads to King Crimson killing him and Bucellati being undead for some time thanks to Golden Experience. If Abacchio had never complained, it's likely that Giorno would have come unharmed and Bucellati would still live.]]
** Lampshaded by Fugo in Purple Haze Feeback. However, Fugo acknowledges that [[spoiler: it's likely that Giorno would have left Trish to die for the sake of finding out the boss's identity.]]
* NonActionGuy: Doesn't fight most of the time.
** Averted in the ''Vento Aureo'' video game though, where his only time of actually fighting was during the Man in The Mirror arc, where his play style consists mostly of hand-to-hand combat and using Moody Blues to repeat his actions. He was also close to being playable in ''[[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureEyesOfHeaven Eyes of Heaven]]'', but was [[WhatCouldHaveBeen scrapped after the developers realized that his play style was too complicated to code]].
* OutOfFocus: Kind of what happens when your Stand isn't designed for combat. As it [[{{Pun}} stands]], he's the only hero of Part 5 not playable in ''Eyes of Heaven''.
* SourSupporter: Opposes pretty much everything Giorno says, but eventually warms up to him. Kind of.
* TimeMaster: Moody Blues allows him to rewind and re-view events, but he can't interact with them. It's basically a universal security camera.
* TorsoWithAView: [[spoiler: Diavolo punches a perfect circle through his diaphragm, killing him--but not quickly enough to prevent him from finding his identity with Moody Blues]].

! Guido Mista (Stand: Sex Pistols)
-> Guido voiced by: Creator/KenjiAkabane (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/KentaroIto (''Vento Aureo'' video game)
-> Sex Pistols voiced by: Creator/AsamiImai (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/KentaroIto (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

The collected second-in-command, Mista is apt with a gun and is very superstitious.

His stand is "Sex Pistols", which is a multi-body stand like Shigechi's Harvest from Part 4. Sex Pistols is split up into six beings numbered one to 7 (skipping 4 due to Mista's dislike of the number) which allows him to steer bullets midair and make extremely impressive trickshots,

* AbnormalAmmo: His Stand consists of six little imps who get fired out of his gun along with the regular bullets and help direct the bullets to their targets. They also like to eat pepperoni.
* BangBangBANG: Discussed. At one point, Mista lampshades that his gun isn't as loud as "those you hear in movies."
* BareYourMidriff: He wear a turtleneck crop top cashmere sweater that leaves uncovered the belly.
* ButtMonkey: Number 5 of Sex Pistols is always getting beaten up by the other Numbers.
* FourIsDeath: A childhood incident involving some cats resulted in Mista associating the number 4 with general misfortune. This is why the numbering for Sex Pistols skips from 3 to 5.
* TheGunslinger: Thanks to his stand who guide his bullets.
* MadeOfIron: Takes some truly brutal injuries during Part 5, even compared to the rest of the cast.
* ManIFeelLikeAWoman: While under the effects of [[spoiler:Silver Chariot Requiem]].
* NiceHat: He wears a uniquely shaped headgear with a diagonal grid pattern and the front shaped like an arrow.
* RapeAsDrama: Before he joined Passione, he ran into a street gang trying to rape a woman. His determination to stop them awakened Sex Pistols. Suffice to say the rape did ''not'' succeed.
* RevolversAreJustBetter
* ShipTease: With Trish.
* TalkingWeapon: Subverted. His gun is a normal weapon, but it's his non-offensive stand that's living.
* UnorthodoxReload: He reloads with bullets dropped from his hat sometimes, but reloads normally just as often.
* WeakButSkilled: His stand is the weakest in terms of power out of Buccellati's group (including Moody Blues, which isn't even meant for combat), and he's pretty much helpless if he doesn't have a gun with bullets. But with his talent as a marskman, skill in commanding his stand, and identifying the weaknesses of his enemies, he can hold his own against much stronger stands.
* WeirdnessMagnet

! Narancia Ghirga (Stand: Aerosmith)
-> Voiced by: Creator/YukoSanpei (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/FujikoTakimoto (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A boy who dropped out of school to participate in gangs, only to be falsely arrested for it. After being found by Fugo, Buccellati let him in to his group. Very cocky, cranky, and head-strong, Narancia is the only member of Buccellati's to act his age or anywhere close. He's very emphatic to people as well and has the unfortunate streak of being hit by Stands first.

His Stand, Aerosmith, looks like an RC fighter plane. It's capable of shooting off live ammo as either multiple bullets or bombs and can act remotely by giving Narancia a radar that responds to breathing.

* BerserkButton: Do ''not'' talk about his lack of education if you aren't a part of Buccellati's group.
* BookDumb: 16 x 55 = 28!
* BrattyHalfPint: Somewhat.
* ButtMonkey: Seems to have a bad problem with being the first person subjected to the newest enemy's Stand, especially if it's a potentially humiliating one like shrinking, rapid aging, or [[TongueTied being unable to say what you mean]]. If ''everyone'' is subjected to the newest enemy's Stand, he will always get the worst of it.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:Diavolo kills him without any real warning, ''off-screen.'' The group figured it was so his Stand's [=CO2=] radar wouldn't notice someone else chasing after Silver Chariot Requiem. Later, we find out Diavolo got sent into Mista's body along with Trish, and Narancia wouldn't have found him out any earlier than the others.]]
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Fitting, given his Stand's namesake.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Narancia" sounds like a blend of the words for "orange" in Italian ("arancia") and Spanish ("naranja"). Hence the orange highlights in most colored artwork.
* HumanPincushion: [[spoiler: Diavolo kills him by dropping him onto a wrought iron fence. It's not pretty.]]
* IfWeGetThroughThis: [[spoiler:Narancia, you just ''had'' to start talking about how you want to return to your hometown when this is all over. You even knew the BigBad was lurking somewhere off-screen waiting to jump on everyone!]]
* IllKillYou: Ends up saying this a lot, due to his cranky personality and status as ButtMonkey.
* {{Kiai}}: Vola Vola Vola Vola Vola Vola Volare Via!
* KnifeNut: A mild example, but he's pretty fond of whipping out that switchblade whenever someone pisses him off. Which is often.
* MoreDakka: His stand, Aerosmith, makes up for its lack of precision with more than enough gunfire to rip a car to shreds.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: About as thin as a pencil and still capable of K.O.ing a grown man with one punch.
* TheNapoleon: He's the smallest of the gang and the most cantankerous.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:Risotto Nero had the upper hand on Doppio until Aerosmith intervened]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: As pointed out in their first meeting, Narancia is two years older than Giorno. However, due to childhood malnutrition and a lack of education, he looks and acts like the youngest member of the group.
* StuffBlowingUp: His stand, Aerosmith, has plenty of firepower, but poor aim. As a result, any fights against faster, more evasive enemies tend to transform the battleground into a war-zone.
* SuperSenses: His [=CO2=] scope.
* TongueTrauma: Gets hit with this ''twice''.
* WeirdnessMagnet: ''Especially''. See ButtMonkey.

! Pannacotta Fugo (Stand: Purple Haze[[spoiler: Distortion]])
-> Voiced by: Hisafumi Oda (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/HiroakiMiura (''Vento Aureo'' video game)
-> Purple Haze: Creator/HisaoEgawa (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/HiroakiMiura (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A member of Buccellati's gang and one of the most mature and smart people in the group... at least until he loses his temper. With an IQ of 160, Fugo joined the Mafia after having problems in school due to his high intelligence and temper not matching well with teachers. [[spoiler:Leaves Buccellati and the rest after he learns the Boss's plan and is the only one who decides not to stay with the rest.]] He stars in both novels based off Part 5: ''Golden Heart, Golden Ring'' and ''Purple Haze Feedback''.

His Stand, Purple Haze, is an uncontrollable monster that can kill anything within a 5 meter radius. See the tropes here and in Illuso's section for more.

* ADayInTheLimelight: A light novel called ''Purple Haze Feedback'' was written by Kouhei Kadono (of [[{{LightNovel/BoogiepopSeries}} Boogiepop]] fame) for the series' 25th anniversary. The novel greatly expands on Fugo's character during and after the events of the original manga.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Fugo is decent person for someone who can MakeThemRot.
* BareYourMidriff
* TheBerserker: His Stand, Purple Haze; it may reflect his HairTriggerTemper being fully manifested.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He comes off as one of the more mature and polite members of the gang, but he has a short fuse and a ''very'' dangerous Stand.
* {{Bishonen}}
* ConflictingLoyalty: The in-story reason why [[spoiler:Fugo stays behind when Buccellati's gang defects. He is torn between his loyalty to Diavolo and to Buccellati.]] ''Purple Haze Feedback'' resolves this.
** His intros with Giorno, Buccellati, and Mista in ''All Star Battle'' are actually based off a dropped idea to [[spoiler: make Fugo an absolute traitor to Buccellati's group, but then rejoining them before the fight with Diavolo.]]
* DeusExitMachina: See PutOnABus.
* DubNameChange: There was no way in Hell CyberConnect2 was going to get Purple Haze past the viciously-protective Hendrix estate, so it's Purple Smoke in English.
* DynamicEntry: [[spoiler: Kills Kocaqi by ''punching him'' at a terminal velocity fall, Purple Haze and all.]]
* EdibleThemeNaming: Panna cotta (cooked cream) is an Italian dessert.
* EnragedByIdiocy: ''Stabs Narancia with a fork'' for getting a multiplication problem wrong.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HairTriggerTemper: He has a very short fuse, despite seeming very calm and mature. This aspect of him ended in him assaulting his professor with a textbook, and is reflected in his Stand going berserk and uncontrollable sometimes.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Discussed in All-Star Battle by the intros: when fighting his allies, Fugo will be played off for a traitor. When fighting ''Diavolo'', he'll become a traitor '''again'''.
* LackOfEmpathy: In ''Purple Haze Feedback'', besides his SurvivorGuilt for not getting on the boat with the rest of Buccellati's group, he also is unable to understand why his teammates (especially Narancia) were willing to betray the boss and risk their lives for the sake of Trish. He gets better after caring for his new partner, Sheila E, which gives him the strength to evolve his Purple Haze..
* LonelyRichKid: Leaving his temper-issues aside, he was this before joining Passione.
* MakeThemRot: Purple Haze releases a flesh-eating virus which can decompose a grown man in 30 seconds.
* MyGreatestFailure: If we allow ''All-Star Battle'' a bit of canonicity, specifically its post-fight comments, Fugo never forgave himself for [[spoiler:not getting on the boat with the rest of Buccellati's group, which is also talked about in great lengths in ''Purple Haze Feedback'']].
* NeatFreak: Purple Haze will often try to clean itself of its drool, ignoring the fact that it constantly drools.
* OptOut: The in-verse explanation to why [[spoiler:he left after Buccellati draws a LineInTheSand]], which is explored more in his novel. Out-verse... see PutOnABus for more information.
* PeekABangs
* PoisonousPerson: His Stand's power [[StoryBreakerPower to an extreme extent]].
* PutOnABus: Araki [[spoiler:took him out of the group]] because he felt that the story was getting a little too bleak for Fugo to reveal himself as the Boss' [[TheMole mole]]. Given what [[{{Gorn}} Purple Haze's virus does]], this is arguably a ''good'' thing he didn't fight the group.
** He gets his own side story, though.
* TeamDad: Often acts as a surrogate parent or older brother to Narancia and Mista, joining in their stranger antics and trying to tutor Narancia because of his poor background. He is also officially the second-in-command of Buccellati's group.
* TheMole: Was originally this, until him quitting the group was retooled into...
* TheResenter: Towards Trish in ''Purple Haze Feedback''. He blames her for the death of his teammates.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Fugo is the only one not to rebel for fear of the Boss.
* TheSmartGuy: He tested high in school but failed to excel due to his short temper.
* StoryBreakerPower: His stand has three globes on his knuckles of each hand that contain a deadly virus that quickly eats up all organic matter in the area where a globe is broken, until it gets hit by sunlight.
** [[spoiler:Purple Haze even gained another ability in Kadono's light novel when it evolved into Purple Haze Distortion -- now those deadly viruses ''can eat other viruses, including itself.'']]

! Trish Una (Stand: Spice Girl)
-> Voiced by: Creator/NaoTouyama (''Eyes of Heaven''), Creator/RioNatsuki (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

The Boss's little girl of 15, Trish has never once met her father and has only heard of him through her mother's words. After finally finding his connection to Passione, she is taken in and protected by Buccellati's faction. [[spoiler: When it's revealed that it's just a ploy to get her killed by Diavolo himself, she gets protection in an entirely different way.]] Starts out spoiled and honestly terrified of seeing her father, but later becomes strong enough to fight.

Her Stand, Spice Girl, can soften things into rubber.

* ActionGirl: In addition to a surprisingly useful ability, Spice Girl is also very physically powerful and fast.
* AnimeHair: Sports spiky hair that curls upwards, later chapters show the overall hairstyle as a spiral like style.
* BareYourMidriff
* BatmanGambit: [[spoiler:When she and Diavolo are forced to share a body by Silver Chariot Requiem, Trish actually uses her stand to save Diavolo's life, secretly, by softening some bullets that were fired at him. Diavolo didn't notice this and thought his stand was powerful enough to just punch the bullets out of the way, so Trish was able to catch him by surprise later by suddenly restoring the bullets' kinetic energy.]]
* CallingTheOldManOut: During the final battle.
* CharacterDevelopment: Spice Girl's arrival is explicitly linked to Trish's growing confidence and courage.
* DistressedDamsel: At first. She later holds her own in assisting her group, though she's still by far the least experienced among them.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: After the events of Vento Aureo, it's revealed in [[spoiler:''Purple Haze Feedback'' that she became a famous singer. And given she knows how many died for her safety, she does her best to do this after returning home.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Spice Girl's power is softening things. As is traditional in [=JoJo=], it only ''sounds'' useless.
* [[HeKnowsTooMuch She Knows Too Much]]: [[spoiler:The reason why Diavolo wants to kill her. Despite the fact that Trish knows ''nothing'' about who he really is. Diavolo is just that paranoid.]]
* HeroicBastard
* MsFanservice: Her default one has her wear a single strapped bra, as well as a long skirt that has a split starting at the upper thigh area, giving quite a view of her torso and legs. Not to mention that all of her outfits also happen to show off [[ShesGotLegs her legs]].
* SamusIsAGirl: Buccellati's gang first meet Trish when she's in disguise as a janitor. When she reveals herself, the boys are quite surprised to see she's a girl, especially since she'd just beaten up Narancia.
* ShipTease: With Mista and Buccellati.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only named female character in Part 5, discounting the novels.
* [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair You Gotta Have Pink Hair]]

! Coco Jumbo (Stand: Mr. President)

A regular turtle that was granted a Stand, presumably by the Arrow, that can be distinguished by a large ornamentation built into its shell.

It's Stand, Mr. President, manifests as an interdimensional and well-furnished hotel room that Coco Jumbo carries around with it.
* AscendedExtra: While it did serve a pretty pivotal role [[spoiler: regarding Polnareff's fate in Part 5]], for the most part it was a side character. In ''Eyes of Heaven'', it gets a lot more screen time as Mr. President is used to contain the ever expanding party of characters in the story mode.
* BiggerOnTheInside: Mr. President creates a well-furnished hotel room inside of Coco Jumbo's shell, which anyone it chooses can access. [[spoiler:This is where Polnareff lives after having his soul attached to Coco Jumbo following his physical body's death.]]
* TeamPet: He's a turtle, and may actually be Diavolo's pet turtle.
* WeirdnessMagnet: Par for the course with Stand Users

! Diavolo (Stand: King Crimson)
-> Voiced by: Creator/ToshiyukiMorikawa (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/MitsuruMiyamoto (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

->''"This is a test... a test from the past I must overcome! I accept!"''

The Boss of Passione and the target of Giorno's efforts, Diavolo is a first-class paranoid man with a high obsession over two things: keeping himself a secret and becoming far stronger than those around him. Because of his secretive nature, Diavolo has eliminated many people (barring [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes an old girlfriend]]) for this sake, and his main goal is to recapture the Arrow and create King Crimson Requiem. He also dabbled in a drug trafficking project, which is the crux of ''Purple Haze Feedback''.

His Stand, King Crimson, can "skip time" - it eliminates a section of time from anywhere between .5 to 10 seconds, and during which not only is Diavolo completely immune to attacks, but can also set up others to be hit. See TimeMaster below for more details.

* [[AbsurdlyYouthfulMother Absurdly Youthful Father]]: [[spoiler: [[http://kissmanga.com/Manga/JoJo-s-Bizarre-Adventure-Part-5-Vento-Aureo/Vol-061-Ch-563-571--They-Called-Him-Diavolo--Old-scans-?id=150403#63 Diavolo was born in 1967]], while [[http://kissmanga.com/Manga/JoJo-s-Bizarre-Adventure-Part-5-Vento-Aureo/Vol-063-Ch-583-594--Sleeping-Slaves--Old-scans---End-of-Part-005-?id=150407#147 Trish was born in 1985.]] A bit of simple math shows us that Diavolo was ''18'' when Trish was born.]]
* ActionDad: [[spoiler:Though it's too bad he doesn't have the heart of one.]]
* [[spoiler:AllForNothing: ''Purple Haze Feedback'' reveals that within several days~months of Giorno taking over Passione, not only was Diavolo declared legally dead (as in, he's ''totally'' not in a loop of deaths and is still alive and conscious somewhere in the world), but Giorno states he's always been the Boss and immediately begins clean up, something which ''no one apparently questions'' despite Giorno being 15 and Passione being roughly as old. There is also no one who questions the fact that a 15 year old kid could sound like a 33-year old man.]]
* ArchnemesisDad: [[spoiler:To Trish.]]
* AttackAttackAttack -> ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When he realizes Risotto is spying on Doppio, he orders his subordinate to fight back and get within two meters of him. Even after seeing Risotto's abilities in action, he keeps pressing Doppio to fight back. [[spoiler: Then Risotto summons scissors in Doppio's throat and Diavolo begins to reconsider his plan.]]
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: TheDon of Passione, but having the most broken Stand around certainly helps.
* AxCrazy: A subdued variant compared to Cioccolata's more obvious insanity, and arguably worse. He suffers from extreme irrational paranoia -- [[spoiler:enough to kill his daughter, Trisha, who's completely unrelated to the Mafia affair]]. Even his goals are very unconventional; see EvilPlan below.
* BadassInANiceSuit: Early glimpses of him have him wearing a suit. He doesn't wear it in the final battle, [[spoiler:presumably because he doesn't have time to change out of Doppio's clothes other than removing his sweater]], but it's become common-place in most fan art.
* BadBoss: And how! [[spoiler: After denying the very effective La Squadra a pay raise and promotion, he killed two of their comrades when they started searching for his identity. How did he kill them? Binding and gagging the first to be ForcedToWatch as he cuts the second into pieces, enough to force the former to commit suicide. And then delivers more than 30 pieces of his body by his messengers, one at a time to La Squadra.]]
* BaitTheDog: [[spoiler:Wanted Trish to be brought to him, but it's not to protect her, it's to ''kill her''. He's '''that''' paranoid!]]
* BarbarianLongHair: His hair is actually rather well kept during the final fight, despite it having [[spoiler: been in a braid just pages before.]]
* BastardBastard: It's unknown who his father is, he never married Donatella, and he's... yeah.
* BatmanGambit: [[spoiler:He needs Trish dead. He wants Squadra dead for going rogue, and Bruno's group dead for attempting to get more power; let's pit them against each other and take out the surviving group after they're all worn out]].
** Literally the sole purpose of Epitaph.
* BigBad: Of Vento Aureo.
** '''TheHeavy''': Kars may have created the plot and Dio may have set the Joestars on the path of heroism, but if Diavolo didn't [[spoiler: find the Stand-creating arrows on his fateful trip to Egypt and then sell all but one to Enyaba]], '''none''' of the stories would've happened the way they did: [[spoiler:Dio never would've earned his Stand, the Joestars never would've earned theirs by proxy, and ''no one else'' with the exception of people like Kakyoin and Polnareff would have theirs (and this includes Kira and very likely Pucci). You can thank Diavolo for every ounce of misery caused in the previous and future parts.]]
* {{Biseinen}}
* TheChessmaster: Manipulates everyone into ultimately serving him or disposing of those who oppose him by pitting them against other groups.
* CombatClairvoyance: King Crimson has a secondary ability called Epitaph that lets him see 10 seconds into the future. It functions more as a RequiredSecondaryPower, since otherwise he wouldn't be able to predict or plan around King Crimson's time skip.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Kira had a rather mundane history, aside from the whole hand fetish and serial murder thing, was dangerous mainly because he kept slipping away before he could be punished for his heinous actions, and wanted to live a "normal" life. He was also mentally ill, though with OCD and egocentric traits, but while he acknowledged them he saw them as nothing more than bad habits. Meanwhile, Diavolo had a past that was saturated in weirdness, was dangerous because he used his intellect and enormously powerful Stand to hunt down his enemies instead of run away from them, and wanted absolutely no one to know he existed; his own edition of a "normal life". He also has paranoia and [[spoiler:DID]], and he doesn't seem to care.
** LackOfEmpathy: Diavolo is also different from all his contemporaries in that he was completely ruthless. While the other antagonists all loved somebody other than themselves[[note]]Dio to Pucci and vice versa, Kira to his father and his many girlfriends (in a way), Kars to the other Pillar Men, and Funny Valentine to his wife and father[[/note]], Diavolo held no affection for anyone. [[spoiler:Especially his own daughter.]]
*** But perhaps averted, as it bears noting that even after he began his mission of erasing his past, Diavolo [[spoiler:never killed Donatella and even kept a photo of hers despite the damning evidence it could prove.]] He also babied Doppio a bit, calling him his "most trusted subordinate".
* CurbStompBattle: Gave several over the course of the final fight, but [[spoiler: skipping time means squat against a NoSell ability '''that negates anything you do''', as he found out.]]
** TheOmniscient: Epitaph is incredibly powerful for what it does, and simultaneously reveals to Diavolo every and all actions and outcomes that could take place. Diavolo himself says that, rather than predicting what happens and reacting to that, he merely chooses which outcome he wishes to happen.
* DeathByIrony: [[spoiler: It's actually an ironic FateWorseThanDeath, but Diavolo, whose name means "Devil" in Italian, was basically sent to Hell by Giorno, doomed to suffer for eternity by dying over and over.]]
* TheDon: Of the Passione Mafia. Though an unusually low-profile one, as no one in his Mafia knows what he looks like.
* [[spoiler:DualAgeModes[=/=]OlderAlterEgo]]
* DubNameChange: King Crimson is promoted to Emperor Crimson for ''All-Star Battle'' in English-speaking countries. It fits with his CatchPhrase of declaring himself emperor, making it a little more fitting than other name changes. In addition, his "Epitaph" attack (taken from a King Crimson song) becomes "Eulogy", which also fits Diavolo as eulogies are often praise to someone.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas[=/=]SelfMadeOrphan: Unknown whether it's played straight or subverted, as while [[spoiler: his mother was BuriedAlive under the house he lived in with the priest that raised]], it's never clearly stated whether [[spoiler: Diavolo did it, the priest did it, or someone entirely unrelated did it.]] However, it can be agreed that this was when he started becoming more like what he is today.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He does not like Cioccolata and actually seemed very sick with himself after having to order him and Secco in to fight. He also [[spoiler: spared his girlfriend Donatella, whom he told many lies to about his life and had a child with, and then took a photo of her and let her keep it.]]
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Diavolo expects Buccellati to turn a blind eye to the fact that he wants to kill his daughter, and when Bruno intervenes, Diavolo thinks Bruno wants to take over Passione.
* EvilPlan: Mix an obsession of being the UltimateEvil and TakeOverTheWorld by using the Stand Arrow in order to gain its Requiem power with sheer paranoia of being seen and you get a very paradoxical ambition.
* EvilRedhead: Has pink hair, and is undoubtedly Part 5's BigBad.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Courtesy of Creator/ToshiyukiMorikawa.
* TheFaceless: For a good chunk of Part 5. His first fight with Buccellati has his face constantly obscured by shadows or by King Crimson. His first appearances are also incredibly different to how he was revealed, as he had short hair and actually seemed a lot taller than he turned out to be.
* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:He ends up getting sent into an infinite death loop courtesy of Gold Experience Requiem, experiencing a variety of ends but never truly dying. And worse, he's the only one aware of it - cars hit him without stopping, he was dissected without the nurse realizing he was awake, and so on.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: Played to the extreme, unlike other Stands. In ASB, although everyone else has a punch or a kick that they perform themselves, even Johnny, Diavolo's entire move set is done by King Crimson, Stand on or off. It's also likely the strongest Stand in existance, as a single punch does what RapidFireFisticuffs does for everyone else and can be fatal.
* FinalBossPreview: The fight with Buccellati.
* FreudianExcuse: Much like EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas, it could be played straight, defied, or subverted. Depending on how it's read, he either [[spoiler: snapped and became paranoid after finding his mother under the floorboards]], [[spoiler: did the deed himself and was always like this despite his good nature before hand]], or [[spoiler: snapped because the evidence was ''found'' and as such razed his hometown to prevent word from being leaked, causing the obsession due to the spur of the moment]].
* TheGhost[=/=]TheSpook[=/=]TheDreaded: His goal in the series is to remain a feared, shadowy leader through any means necessary.
** That and TakeOverTheWorld once he tries to take the Arrow for himself to dominate all life with the incredible power it wields.
* GlassCannon: While King Crimson is able to accomplish what [[RapidFireFisticuffs Star Platinum, The World, and Crazy Diamond]] can usually only do in a [[MegatonPunch single blow]], its durability is absolutely ''abysmal'' compared to them.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: Another unknown, see the above two unknowns EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas and FreudianExcuse. However, it should be said that [[spoiler:dissocative identity disorder streams from similar roots to that of paranoia - abuse, fear, trauma, or stress. Polnareff outright discusses the roots by stating that Diavolo could've been abused as a child, and since only certain points of his history were touched upon, he could very well be right.]]
* GuardianEntity: Played with towards Doppio. Since, [[spoiler: logically speaking, killing Doppio would also kill Diavolo and vice versa,]] it's hard to tell how much Diavolo cares for Doppio and how much he ''cares'' for Doppio. He does, however, step in whenever Doppio is getting mugged and does offer advice that best fits the situation, whether it's [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere running away]] or using luck and intelligence.
* {{Guyliner}}: His eyelashes are much more defined than other villains and he, like Dio, dons lipstick.
* HairTriggerTemper: Coinsides with his paranoia most of the time, but [[spoiler: he did go overboard with punishing La Squadra.]]
** This also extends to King Crimson. Hilariously, so does the head on its forehead.
* HateSink: Out of all the primary [[BigBad Big Bads]], he's easily this. Dio, Kars, and Yoshikage before him had PetTheDog moments while Pucci was AffablyEvil and [[spoiler: trying to avenge Dio]] and Funny Valentine was an AntiVillain. Diavolo is simply a ruthless, horrible person who has nothing about him that can be considered redeemable.
* HellishPupils[=/=]UhOhEyes[=/=]WideEyesAndShrunkenIrises: Has extremely small pupils like his Stand, [[spoiler:except when possessed by Bruno, when he temporarily gains normal looking eyes.]] However, his eyes look as if the irises are simply fragments circling his pupils.
** NonStandardCharacterDesign: Although everything else about him fits in with [=JoJo=], Diavolo is the only character whose eyes are entirely too different from others. Subverted in ASB, where he's given normal grey eyes.
* {{Hunk}}: In contrast with Kira's SalaryMan appearance, Diavolo is [[MrFanservice completely ripped]], as well as being the first villain besides Kars to be [[WalkingShirtlessScene shirtless]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: [[spoiler:When found out by Polnareff, he gloats about being discovered; this is paradoxical to his usual, xenophobic desire of not being seen by others. Or maybe he was just confident that Polnareff wouldn't survive their encounter.]]
* InvincibleVillain: He has a Rank A Strength Stand with the ability to skip time and see into the future. [[spoiler:The only way that the heroes even beat it is to activate an even more ridiculous ability -- that of the NoSell.]]
* InTheHood: His first -shadowed- appearance has him with this, covered in a blanket in a dark room while musing about finding his daughter.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: [[spoiler:He pretty much set up Squadra against Bruno's team, even if both were against Diavolo]].
* LightningBruiser: King Crimson has shown to be able to easily parry, react to, and even outmaneuver faster-than-light Stands like Silver Chariot, Sticky Fingers, and Gold Experience, even without the use of Epitaph. King Crimson's speed may be comparable to that of even Star Platinum. Likewise, his strength is incredible, and he can rip apart opponents with a single MegatonPunch, rather than using RapidFireFisticuffs like other powerful Stands tend to do, and is one of the few Stands capable of delivering one-hit kills without the use of an ability.
* ManipulativeBastard: Prefers to control others from the shadows like he does Squadra and Bruno's group.
* MeaningfulName: Diavolo means "devil" in Italian to counter Dio's "God". Many take this as his mother or someone dubbing him this due to his bizarre birth.
** King Crimson's name and its abilities are believed to come from three different songs by the titular band, and all songs from the same album (a hidden prod towards [[spoiler: his DID]]:
*** ''In the Court of the Crimson King'': Which ends with the stanza ''The yellow jester does not play / but gentle pulls the strings / And smiles as the puppets dance / in the court of the Crimson King''. The song may inspire Diavolo's dubbing of being emperor, as well as his ploys usually revolving around controlling others, and then [[spoiler: his eventual downfall to Giorno, who had been planning Diavolo's fall since the start of the arc]].
*** ''Epitaph'': The name for his sub-stand, the lyrics speak of someone who has "confusion as my epitaph", and believes the world is "in the hands of fools".
*** ''21st Century Schizoid Man'': Which, while mostly music, its title fits Diavolo since his personality can be summed up as "schizophrenic" and some of his traits due fall into schizoid personality disorder.
* MrFanservice
* NiceJobFixingItVillain[=/=]VillainBall: ''Vento Aureo'' is less of a story of Giorno overthrowing a really superior villain and more of Diavolo digging a hole for himself:
** In his attempts to make his drugs the only drugs on the market, he alienates some of his followers, including Buccellati... which starts the plot.
** Attempted to use Gelato and Sorbet as expressions of how he didn't want anyone finding out his identity. This led to La Squadra, ''a very competent and dangerous assassin team'', rebelling two years before the plot. Their leader, Risotto Nero, basically has an InstantDeathRadius.
*** He also ends up doing something similar with Buccellati's group and he should be thankful their InstantDeathRadius party member left.
** [[spoiler: Instead of simply waiting for Trish to be delivered to him and then killing her behind Buccellati's back, Diavolo thinks it's a good idea to snatch her from him, knowing full well that Bruno is an altruistic man, that he's an experienced stand user and that his friends are ''literally down the street and nothing is stopping them from entering the building and finding them.'']]
** Considering how La Squadra was after Trish, Diavolo set it up so [[spoiler:that Buccellati's gang and La Squadra would wipe each other out trying to get Trish.]] Not only did this fail, and horribly so, but then Risotto met Doppio...
*** [[spoiler: And if Aerosmith didn't come in when it did, Diavolo would be dead ''five volumes before the arc actually ended''. By an AntiHero we literally have never seen before that point.]]
** [[JustEatGilligan The six or seven times a]] MundaneSolution [[JustEatGilligan of using the tank-destroying strength of King Crimson and his abilities to skip time]] were avoided because... something. Case in point, the entire Risotto fight. He also never used Doppio efficiently, God knows why, ''even when Doppio himself points out that Buccellati could never hurt him''.
** [[spoiler: And then there's giving the Arrows to Dio, which, hoo-boy.]]
** Thankfully avoided in ''Purple Haze Feedback'' where it's commented that Diavolo decided it would be a better idea to negotiate with the narcotics team, who are led by someone who can ''weaponize salt'' and another who can use rain to one-hit kill people if he wished, than forcing them into working for him.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Diavolo is serious in dealing with his targets to ensure they are killed and prefers to end his fights as soon as possible. Unlike his enemies with their Stands, he is not interested in repeatedly beating up his foes with his Stand, King Crimson with a Stand cry. When Diavolo deals with them, he ensures each punch from King Crimson is fatal.
* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler:Spends all of Part 5 trying to kill Trish. He briefly succeeds when he forces her soul out of Mista's body, but Buccellati saves her by reversing the soul-swapping process.]]
* ParentalAbandonment: Apart from just [[spoiler:[[DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou averting the hell out of the usual guilt part]], from not knowing she existed to desiring to kill her right off the bat]], Diavolo suffered from this himself because his mother was in jail for eight years of his life and his father never appeared.
* RealMenWearPink: A quite literal case in that he has pink hair and is a MrFanservice courtesy of [=JoJo=] fashion style yet he is among the most terrifying villains of the series, [[spoiler: being the one who has given the stand arrows to various people, such as Enya Geil.]]
* SinisterSilhouettes: Spends the entirety of his fight with Bruno as one and appears a few times before then as a mobster covered in shadows.
* SmashCut: Uses King Crimson to create this, disorienting his enemies with the sudden skip in time.
* TheSociopath: Extremely prone to fits of anger and is extremely paranoid, plus the whole LackOfEmpathy thing. [[spoiler: May spare some empathy towards Donatella and Doppio, though, even if the later can be reasoned.]]
* SplitPersonality: [[spoiler:An integral part of Diavolo's masquerade is that he has a ''second'' personality, Vinegar Doppio, which he allows to stay in the forefront of the body's control while still observing. Doppio, while a member of Passione, is still pretty innocent compared to the likes of Cioccolata and Risotto, and is also a cardinal {{Cloudcuckoolander}} thanks to the way Diavolo communicates with him. Oddly enough, when Chariot Requiem goes haywire, it turns out that Doppio and Diavolo are actually ''separate souls''. Arguably, they're actually a chimera resulting from one fetus absorbing the other in utero.]]
** SuperPoweredEvilSide: [[spoiler:To Doppio.]]
* SuperStrength: King Crimson is easily one of the strongest physical Stands in the series, especially since unlike most Stands that have this trait, it can kill a person or cut a person's arm clean off in one punch, rather than RapidFireFisticuffs which is the usual case.
* SurprisePregnancy: Was a victim of it; he didn't know Trish existed for '''fifteen years'''.
* TeleportSpam and/or SmashCut: King Crimson's power makes him look like he's doing this on a ''world-scale'', but really:
** TimeMaster: King Crimson's ability is to erase time. For ten seconds, every action and event that takes place has no effect and no one else retains any memory of that time interval, but the ''results'' of any of those actions remain[[note]]This is represented by time being compressed to a single point in which causality doesn't exist; at the time, people don't perceive this and take actions as if everything were normal, but in actuality every instant in which those actions occur exist simultaneously rather than leading into each other -- in this sense, time doesn't exist and is "erased".[[/note]], and as a result, it looks like TeleportSpam since Diavolo can use this time to disappear and reappear on will. The nature of the erased time allows Diavolo to see all possible actions simultaneously and follow whichever sequence of events he wants to occur during the time skip using Epitaph. The most intuitive explanation, and the one that Diavolo himself seems to favor, is that for about 10 seconds, he controls fate and destiny in the surrounding area.
* UltimateEvil: Desperately wants to be this, but ultimately fails. See NiceJobFixingItVillain.
* VoicesAreMental: [[spoiler:Played with, since Diavolo technically can alter how any part of Doppio looks and may not just be external.]]
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Well, it's actually a mesh shirt, for what it's worth it's transparent.
* WhereIWasBornAndRazed: Very likely was the one who burnt down the church and town he grew up in.
* WhosYourDaddy: Inverse edition. To call the circumstances regarding his conception "bizarre" would be a gross understatement. [[spoiler:His mother was an inmate in a female prison with absolutely no male guards. Add in the timing of when she was incarcerated, ''and'' the oddly long pregnancy, and we are looking at one very difficult-to-decipher paternity issue, in the form of ''no'' viable candidates. At all.]]
* WindsOfDestinyChange: This is what King Crimson's ability to "erase time" actually does. Unlike Dio, Diavolo cannot initiate actions during the erased time - for instance, he can't activate King Crimson, then throw a bunch of knives at you and have them impact when time resumes normally. Instead, he can use Epitaph to predict his opponent's actions and implement counters to them ''before'' activating King Crimson. For instance, if someone is about to shoot at him, he can predict it and start to move behind that person to position himself for a counterattack. Activating King Crimson at the moment the trigger is pulled will then cause all actions that would have occurred in the next ten seconds to instead take place simultaneously - Diavolo's opponent will shoot, Diavolo will get out of the way of the bullet, and the bullet will impact the wall behind him ''in the same moment''. The net effect is that Diavolo can see the future and weaponize it by skipping any actions that are harmful to him, but keeping the ones that benefit him.
* YouCantThwartStageOne: Averted; in a series where the BigBad usually gets what he wants before a DeusExMachina shows up to punish them, [[spoiler: not only does he not get the Stand Arrow to increase his power, he becomes the guinea pig for the enhanced power of Giorno's new Requiem ability.]]
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Pink with spots, either green or violet in color. The hair is naturally colored pink too, considering Trish inherited it.
** The spots, however, aren't natural according to JOJOVELLER. Apparently he paints them in because "he's a {{UsefulNotes/Punk}}".

! Leaky-Eye Luca
Technically the first enemy Giorno meets, Luca tries to mug the protagonist. Quickly dies due to Gold Experience, but his defeat is what calls Buccellati over to investigate Giorno. Technically, he didn't really "die" from Gold Experience - [[spoiler: he actually dies when Diavolo ruthlessly orders him to be dismantled and have his body parts used for scare tactics on Giorno.]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Attacks a frog created by Gold Experience with a shovel, causing him to cave in his own skull when the attack is reflected back at him.
* {{Jerkass}}: When a frog jumps on Giorno (created by his stand, but Luca doesn't know that,) he orders Giorno to step on it for no reason other than to be an asshole, and then tries to kill it himself (this backfires horribly.) It's also revealed later on that he sold drugs to children.
* ManlyTears: Sort of. His right eye constantly tears up because of an eye injury.
* {{Muggle}}: The only member of Buccelatti's group to not have a stand.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: His name and injured eye suggest he's based on the 30s Sicilian-American gangster "Lucky" Luciano.
* ShovelStrike: His weapon of choice when confronting Giorno.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He dies in the very same chapter he's introduced, but it's because of his death that Buccelatti tracks down Giorno to get the identity of his murderer out of him.
** His body is also [[spoiler: torn apart on Diavolo's order, which is the very first hint that Diavolo's a fan of unnecessary cruelty.]]
* ZeroEffortBoss: Giorno doesn't need to lift a finger to beat him.

A capo who gave Buccellati's group their mission to deliver Trish to the boss. [[spoiler: He killed himself shortly to prevent any enemy to get info from him.]]

! Polpo (Stand: Black Sabbath)
-> Voiced by: Creator/YujiKishi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A higher up, or capo, in Passione. He was entrusted with an Arrow and used it and his Stand to test members coming into the gang by ordering an impossible task of keeping a lighter lit for a day. If the lighter goes out, his Stand appears and stabs them with the Arrow: if they survive and become a Stand user, they'll allowed into the gang.
His Stand, Black Sabbath, materializes when Polpo's order is disobeyed. It can move within shadows and control them to an extent.
* AteHisGun: [[spoiler:Literally tried to do this. In his defense, at that time it was transformed into a banana. It did not end well.]]
* BigEater: One has to wonder how exactly Polpo didn't die from obesity.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Polpo" means octopus.
* FatBastard
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Gonk}}
* KickTheDog: Black Sabbath kills an unfortunate janitor that was unlucky enough to relight the lighter that actually calls him forth. [[spoiler:Giorno doesn't let it slide.]]
* LivingShadow
* LuxuryPrisonSuite: Polpo eats ''well'' in prison.
* MightAsWellNotBeInPrisonAtAll: Lampshaded, as Polpo with his high seat in Passione could leave at just about any time. The guards also don't honestly care if things can get into his cell, like for example guns and food.
* ShoutOut: The lyrics of the song "Black Sabbath" make mention of a figure in black declaring a "chosen one". The Stand Black Sabbath happens to be clad in black and uses Stand Arrows to find those with the potential for a Stand.
* SuperEmpowering: Black Sabbath can stab people with an arrow to either grant them a stand or kill them.
* WeakenedByTheLight: Black Sabbath dissipates if it's caught in sunlight.
* WickedCultured: He has several well-known paintings in his cell, and quotes Thomas Fuller while explaining the conditions of his test.

! Mario Zucchero (Stand: Soft Machine)
-> Voiced by: Creator/RyuzouIshino (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A greedy member of Passione who attacks Buccellati's gang while their on their ship. He actually manages to catch everyone but Buccellati, but is stopped through the abilities of Moody Blues and Sticky Fingers. His Stand, Soft Machine, can literally deflate objects or people by stabbing them, reducing them to paper-thin husks.
* CloseRangeCombatant: While Soft Machine's deflation power is devastating one poke and you're not fighting anymore, and very much at Zucchero's mercy it has ''terrible'' range. This is why Zucchero takes pains to first corner enemies in a narrow space, so they won't have time to dodge the stabs.
* ColdBloodedTorture: Suffers this at the hands of Giorno's group after his defeat. It involves a fishhook, glasses, and getting sectioned by Sticky Fingers. [[AntiHero What? They are members of the Mafia, after all.]] He was also then left on the boat after his partner's defeat.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: And is prone to leaving the car ''while it's still in motion'' mid-conversation.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Zucchero" is sugar.
* WeirdnessMagnet

! Sale (Stand: Kraft Work)
-> Voiced by: Creator/HidenobuKiuchi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

Zucchero's partner, he attacked the gang when they arrived at Capri Island. His Stand, Kraft Work, controls kinetic energy.
* AttackReflector: One of the truly scary things he can do with guns is, once Kraft Work's stilled the bullets, ''tap'' the bullet with his own finger to add potential kinetic energy. Once enough is stored, the bullet will fly off on its own, ''back toward the poor sap who shot at Sale''.
* BackForTheDead: [[spoiler:He reappears in the Light Novel Purple Haze Feedback, and is quickly killed off.]]
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Sale" is salt.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* FloatingPlatforms: Turning individual pieces of gravel into these is yet another application of Kraft Work.
* MadeOfIron: Even getting a bullet in the outside of his brain doesn't kill him!
* NighInvulnerable: As far as he's concerned, he's this because his Stand can alter the velocity of ''anything'' it touches so that it stands still with respect to him. This includes ''bullets'' and, unfortunately, Mista uses them.

! Squalo (Stand: Clash)
-> Voiced by: Creator/HidenobuKiuchi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

Tiziano's partner, Squalo and he attack Narancia to force the heroes into misdirection. [[spoiler: Dies by being shot to death with Aerosmith.]]
His Stand, Clash, can travel through liquids to attack. It's a portable shark, basically.
* BerserkerTears: [[spoiler:After Tiziano dies to protect him.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* ThreateningShark: Especially when they are in your soup and can jump from liquid to liquid as needed to follow you...
* {{Gayngster}}: And before you ask, Tiziano and Squalo are the only Passione members depicted as being gay. They're also a couple.
* MeaningfulName: Italian for "shark", which his Stand embodies.

! Tiziano (Stand: Talking Head)
-> Voiced by: Creator/RyuzouIshino (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

Squalo's partner, Tiziano replaces Narancia's tongue with his Stand in order to misdirect the heroes. [[spoiler: Tiziano dies by sacrificing himself, protecting his partner from Aerosmith.]]
His Stand, Talking Head, can attach itself to opponent's tongues. It then forces the victim into miscommunication if they tell the truth, no matter what they do.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Although the colored manga has him with silver hair.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Gayngster}}: Confirmed to be in a relationship with Squalo.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy
* PoorCommunicationKills: The reason he is so deadly when combined with Clash, as he can invoke this on his victims.
* TakingTheBullet: [[spoiler:Not just to save his beloved Squalo, but also to give Clash a liquid field via his own blood. Sadly, it doesn't buy Squalo much more than about a minute, if that.]]
* TongueTied: His Stand twists the victim's words so they always communicate the opposite of their intent -- even if it's writing or gesturing.

! Carne (Stand: Notorious B.I.G.)
A member of Passione that was, upon introduction, very shortly killed by Mista. Unfortunately, it activated his Stand. Since he never spoke, or really did much of anything, the following tropes are more for Notorious B.I.G. than Crane.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Notorious B.I.G is one of the strongest Stands of the manga. But you have to die to activate his power.
* BlobMonster
* CompleteImmortality: Noticeably, it is one of the few Stands that can outlive their master, including Anubis, but more importantly cannot be destroyed by any means, being able to regenerate from any attack that even harms it.
** [[PersonalityPowers Likely because his master dies so easily, Notorious B.I.G. inherits his master's desire to live no matter what to achieve vengeance.]]
* CurbStompBattle: Horribly, ''horribly'' subverted. Carne goes down in a minute thanks to Mista. And then Notorious B.I.G. attacks...
* EldritchAbomination: Even by Stand standards, it's bizarre. It is immortal, able to infect the nearest body in order to grow as well as control those infected parts, and has an overall monstrous appearance.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Gonk}}: It's quite hard to tell where his neck ''begins''.
* HopelessBossFight: While Carne goes down easily, Notorious B.I.G. is so strong that only [[spoiler:dropping it in the ocean]] keeps it from harming the heroes any further.
* TheJuggernaut: See NighInvulnerable.
* MeaningfulName: His name means "meat," as in "dead meat." Doubles as EdibleThemeNaming.
* MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning: Notorious B.I.G. isn't truly activated until it receives feelings of hate and contempt on account of ''Carne's death''.
* NighInvulnerable: And unlike Yellow Temperance and Yo-Yo Ma, there is absolutely nothing anybody can do about it. Their best bet is to [[spoiler:drop it in the ocean]], but that just changed what it was attacking.
* StoryBreakerPower: An [[CompleteImmortality indestructible]] [[FromASingleCell amorphous]] [[ImplacableMan murder engine]] that, since his user activated him ''through death'', is effectively even more unkillable than '''''Kars'''''. Thankfully, he cannot see and acts on impulsive instinct. To to sea with ye, ye great blob monster.

! Cioccolata (Stand: Green Day)
-> Voiced by: Creator/NaoyaUchida (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/RyuzouIshino (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

The last enemy Stand User before Diavolo that the heroes face, he's partnered with Secco. A former doctor who tormented patients that came to him, he did things like intentionally misdiagnosing them so they'd go under his knife, limiting their anesthetics so they'd begin to scream mid-operation, and inflicting pounds upon pounds of mental abuse to the elderly. His Stand, Green Day, is similar to Purple Haze, but with mold instead of toxins. Once infected, if the victim is under a certain altitude, the mold begins to grow and will devour the flesh of whatever it's implanted on.
* AMatchMadeInStockholm: Thinks Secco was this to him. [[spoiler:[[AvertedTrope Actually, not in the least.]]]]
* AnimeHair: Long spikes with puff-balls on the ends. And it's [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair green]].
* AxCrazy: Like most villains, but [[TheUnfettered has no restraints whatsoever to limit his insanity]], such as Alessi's cowardice and Dio's twisted sense of honor, making him incredibly dangerous.
* BadPowersBadPeople: Flesh-eating mold that causes people to explode; sounds like the perfect power for a psychotic MadDoctor who LovesTheSoundOfScreaming.
* BareYourMidriff: His outfit.
* BodyHorror: A lot of Stands are downright nasty, but a flesh-devouring mold that makes people explode if it germinates fast enough? Even more amazing, he's immune to the more harmful effects, so he can sever off body parts and use the mold to prevent blood loss and keep nerves connected? Geez.
* CatchPhrase: "Good, Good, Good, Good."
* CreepyCoolCrosses: There's a cross on his chest that opens to his midriff.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler: Shot in the head, having the bullet then turned into a stag beetle that eats his brains, suffering a savage beatdown for ''seven pages'' from a stand that can make the target experience pain longer than normal and crushed in a garbage truck's compactor. Dude brought it on himself.]]
* DetachmentCombat: [[spoiler:He can dismember himself and keep the various parts still functioning even when they're not connected.]]
** TheStarscream: Arguably; his posthumous speech to Secco implies that he planned to "exceed the boss" in fighting capability.
* DubNameChange: It's Green Tea in the English ''All-Star Battle''.
* EdibleThemeNaming: Chocolate.
* EvilCounterpart: To Giorno, as both have Stands that can manipulate living things. Where Giorno temporarily vitalizes things, though, Cioccolata effectively ''de''-vitalizes whatever the spores manifest upon.
* EvilerThanThou: Inverted '''''hard'''''. You ''know'' you're an awful person when someone [[EvenEvilHasStandards who is currently trying to murder their own daughter out of sheer and unjustified paranoia thinks you're horrible.]]
* EvilGenius: He's a MadDoctor who is very knowledgeable about human biology.
* EvilutionaryBiologist: See InsaneTrollLogic for more details.
* FacialMarkings: Hard to tell if they're makeup, tattoos, or something else. At any rate, they're creepy.
* FakingTheDead: Near the end of the fight with Giorno. Although like his father, Giorno's not fooled, [[CrazyPrepared and was even prepared for it beforehand.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: He was already a nasty piece of work. Developing Green Day just made him even worse.
* FluffyTheTerrible: His name translates to chocolate, but he's far more bitter than sweet.
* ForTheEvulz: The reason why he kills people is to see their faces trapped in terror as they perish.
* InsaneTrollLogic: Believes humanity grows stronger through curiosity, and curiosity amplifies as people die.
* KarmicDeath: Diavolo calls him and Secco trash. Both he and Secco are flung into garbage trucks on their defeats.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:After a long beatdown, he's finally shot down into a dumpster, having died from the impact of Gold Experience's punches.]]
* KillThemAll: Does this to a notable chunk of Rome for a [[ForTheEvulz motiveless killing spree]].
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: The sounds? '''He wants to see your face as you die recorded on tape''' to watch on a later date.
* MadBomber: By the sheer nature of his explosive germinating Stand, and the fact he essentially goes on a killing spree on Rome to kill as many people as possible.
* MadDoctor: Became a doctor specifically so he could torture and experiment on people.
* MonsterClown: With his puff ball AnimeHair, {{Guyliner}}, FacialMarkings, and overall monstrous behavior, he looks like a deranged harlequin.
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: With his BodyHorror abilities, psychotic looks, and [[TheSociopath his depravity]], Cioccolata's this all by himself.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Subjected to the longest one in the series as of yet, going for about '''seven pages in total''', resulting in his death.
* OnlyFriend: Thinks of Secco as this, as he trusts him to find the man with the {{Macguffin}} in his place.
* PetTheDog: His sole redeeming quality is his treatment of Secco like a loyal dog servant and treating him a great deal better than anyone. [[spoiler: Too bad Secco's loyalty is pretty much all an act.]]
* PsychoForHire: He's the only member of Passione who seems to be in it purely because he enjoys watching people suffer and die.
* SerialKiller: You did ''not'' want to end up at the hospital where he worked.
* SlasherSmile: When Giorno falls down, he unleashes an epic one while gloating about his logic.
* SocialDarwinist: Believes that the strong should dominate the weak.
* StuffBlowingUp: A nasty side effect of the mold -- if it germinates fast enough, it causes the victim to explode.
* TheUnfettered: What makes him dangerous is that he has no pragmatic or ethical restraints like most villainous Stand Users to hold him back from being a malice elemental.
* VillainousFriendship: Type 1 with Secco, [[spoiler:but it's actually a Type 2.]]
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: His hair is green.

! Secco (Stand: Oasis)
-> Voiced by: Creator/HiroShimono (''All-Star Battle''), TakayasuUsui (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

As far as Diavolo learned, Secco is an obedient servant of Cioccolata that shared his viewpoint on suffering. He's the one who records Cioccolata's tapes and acts an awful lot like his dog. [[spoiler: But, turns out that Secco actually ''hated'' the doctor and only followed him because Cioccolata's presents and strength.]]

His Stand, Oasis, is a wearable suit that allows Secco to turn the ground into mud on will and travel through it for the price of removing his vision as he does so. Despite it turning concrete into mud, it also prevents Secco from being hit by projectiles while he's underground.
* AMatchMadeInStockholm: Secco was originally one of [[MadDoctor Cioccolata's]] patients, and now he's his loyal sidekick.
* TheBrute: one of Diavolo's last subordinates and with enough fighting strength to physically overwhelm Bruno.
** [[spoiler:[[ObfuscatingStupidity Or so you would think]].]]
* DishingOutDirt
* EvilCounterpart: To Bruno
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* ImprobableWeaponUser: When he isn't dragging Green Day's victims down to get the mold to germinate, he will spit ''mud'' at his foe. Here's the problem for his opponent, though -- it's only mud when it's within Oasis, the relevant sub-area in this case being Secco's mouth. Once it's fully spit out, it turns ''back'' into rock. ''High-velocity'' rock.
* LetsGetDangerous: [[spoiler:Once Ciocolata dies, he shows he is ''much'' more dangerous and intelligent than he initially appeared.]]
* MeaningfulName: Secco means both "dry" and "slim" or "skinny", in Italian. He ''is'' quite skinny, and his stand allows him to turn the "dry" soil into a more malleable (and ''swimmable'') substance.
* ObfuscatingInsanity: [[spoiler:He's quite a bit more stable than he made himself out to be.]]
* ObfuscatingStupidity: [[spoiler:It was just so he could easily tag along with Cioccolata. Once Cioccolata dies and Secco finds he wasn't as strong as he thought, though...]]
* SandIsWater: Stone is water in his case. His Stand power other than manifesting as armor.
* SelfDisposingVillain: [[spoiler:Being spooked by Doppio results in him landing in a dumpster, killing him instantly.]]
* ShootTheHostageTaker: [[spoiler:Gets hit with this.]]
* SycophanticServant: An idolizing, almost pet-like sidekick to Cioccolata. [[spoiler:It's an act to be able to enjoy watching Cioccolata's depradations firsthand.]]
* UngratefulBastard: [[spoiler:Despite Cioccolata having treated him with candy, money, and overall better treatment than anyone else in Passione would give him, Secco couldn't care less if he was felled.]]
* YesMan: To Cioccolata. [[spoiler:It's only to be able to participate in the slaughter, ''not'' out of prior emotional attachment.]]

! Vinegar Doppio (Stand: Epitaph)
-> Voiced by: Creator/AkiraIshida (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/MitsuruMiyamoto (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

->''"Approach... what? That's weird. If my phone's broken, how did I talk to the Boss?"''

Possibly the underboss of Passione, not that he looks like it or even acts like it. Unlike the other members of Passione, Doppio is overall polite and very loyal and only ever acts like his subordinates when upset. He communicates with his boss through phones... but, to everyone else, he's speaking into frogs, ice cream, or other non-phone objects. Actually very capable in a battle despite his lack of abilities in combat, but then again...

His Stand is on lend from his boss: Epitaph allows Doppio to see up to ten seconds into the future and then react accordingly, allowing him to change the outcomes as far as who gets hit with what.

[[spoiler:Doppio is in reality a split personality of Diavolo, which explains how he can use King Crimson's Epitaph ability. Diavolo remains hidden away in Doppio's subconscious, but still pretends to call him on the "phone", directing his actions. Diavolo only shows his true self when Doppio is in danger of revealing his own identity.]]
* {{Adorkable}}: If you aren't disturbed by him having a conversation into a frog's stomach, then yes. Even Diavolo thinks he's cute.
* AlasPoorVillain: [[spoiler:Doppio dies waiting for his Boss to reassure him like always and begs for Diavolo to call him.]]
* AmnesiaLoop[=/=]LaserGuidedAmnesia: Appears to be the case, and not even Diavolo's fault for once, because Doppio's memory is ridiculously faulty. For example, Diavolo warns Doppio of Risotto Nero, teaches him a strategy to fight him, tells him to investigate [[spoiler: the house Donatella lived in]] and then hangs up. Doppio then forgets ''in one panel'' that he had the phone conversation and every single order he was given except for the "get within two meters of Risotto and kill him" part. Later on, he sacrifices his current "phone" in order to get an attack in on Risotto, only to realize after his monologue he's phoneless... and again, in one panel, forgets his phone was destroyed and questions why there's a frog filled with razors right in front of him.
* BareYourMidriff: Due to how is sweater is designed. [[spoiler: Helps when Diavolo needs to quick switch.]]
* {{Bishonen}}: He's around[[spoiler:/looks like]] 17, so he's no older than the protagonists. He's even voiced by AkiraIshida in ''All-Star Battle''.
* BullyingADragon[=/=]MuggingTheMonster: Diavolo does not take kindly to those pressuring Doppio, [[spoiler: and anyone trying to is in for a nasty surprise.]]
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: At least, to those around him.
* CombatClairvoyance: Has a limited version of this granted to him by his boss.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: In the colored manga, Doppio has pink hair to go with pink eyes. [[spoiler: This is only ever played straight, however, when Doppio or Buccellati control Diavolo's body.]]
** TechnicolorEyes: In ASB, on the other hand, Player 1 colors have Doppio with orange eyes to contrast the purple.
** KaleidoscopeEyes: [[spoiler:See Diavolo's HellishPupils.]]
* CuteAndPsycho: He's really scary when he's angry [[spoiler: or when Diavolo hijacks the conversation.]]
* TheDragon: Played with in a few ways: his position is largely assumed and it's only likely that he's the underboss due to Diavolo's care. Although Giorno and his allies planned to overthrow the boss, they never targeted Doppio and his authority is never proven because he keeps away from other members of Passione. In fact, despite being one of the few who actually communicate with Diavolo, Risotto Nero had ''no idea'' who he was until Doppio accidentally revealed he was a Stand user. For the most part, he's just Diavolo's gopher. [[spoiler: He also ''is'' the boss, but doesn't realize it.]]
* DualAgeModes[=/=]OlderAlterEgo: [[spoiler:17 into 33.]]
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Vinegar", obviously. In the Italian translation he's renamed Aceto, which means the same but has the benefits of a) actually being Italian and b) sounding more like an actual name. A "Doppio", on the other hand, is an espresso that by the use of a special coffee filter is twice the size of a regular "solo" espresso.
** MeaningfulName: [[spoiler:"Doppio" is Italian for double, which essentially Doppio is to Diavolo.]]
** PunnyName: [[spoiler:And going back on the espresso meaning, to become Diavolo, Doppio ''doubles'' in size.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: Subverted. Not only does Doppio not really fight, nor is Epitaph that helpful in attacking, [[spoiler: it's never defined as to whether his powers are his or if Diavolo owns King Crimson, since Stands are originated from souls and he and Diavolo are two separate ones.]]
* FishEyes: On-and-off with the Boss's black eyes. [[spoiler: This is usually a sign Diavolo is gazing out of Doppio's body and may or may not relate to how much of Doppio is being controlled by Diavolo.]]
* GenreSavvy: His default reaction to being attacked is to be honest on whether or not he has money, hold his hands up, and cower and plead for his life; it very nearly worked on Risotto, who was adamant about him being an enemy. He also knows that Buccellati wouldn't fight him or even hurt him and can guess right away that you ''really'' shouldn't be so fooled by trying to pass yourself off as a girl. Too bad the Boss is adamant about that kind of stuff.
* IWillFightSomeMoreForever: Done during the Risotto Nero fight when Doppio decides to stay and fight while figuring out how to counteract Metallica. Invoked when Diavolo [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere takes back his order to fight and begins yelling at Doppio to run]] and Doppio begins to ''purposefully ignore the advice.''
-->Diavolo: ''"Doppio, get out of there! You're going to be attacked!"''
-->Doppio: "But boss... you said... It's better not to move, because moving will drain me even more... So, if I don't move, it'll be easier for me... '''[[{{Determinator}} To find out]] [[SuicidalOverconfidence his ability!]]'''"
* MadeOfIron: Pun unintended, but, during the Risotto fight he had scissors ''burst from his neck'' and he remained standing and willing to fight!
* MuggingTheMonster: Apart from being commonplace in Doppio's life, [[spoiler:something Diavolo does try to fix on occasion,]] Risotto Nero's battle came down to this and Secco randomly chose him to become his hostage as a last-ditch effort.
* OlderThanTheyLook: [[spoiler:Despite looking to be around the protagonists' age, he's actually the SplitPersonality of Diavolo, who is around thirty-three. Many theorize their ages look so different because Doppio is what Diavolo looked like when he was 17~19 and, being a split personality, stopped aging at that point for one reason or another]]
* ShoePhone: Parodied. Doppio's main form of communication with his boss is supposedly his cell phone. But when it breaks, he starts grabbing random objects and treating them like they were his cell phone, going so far as to make [[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud ring tone noises]] himself. They have been car charms, toy phones, frogs, and many other things. Now, whether he's [[spoiler: literally talking to himself]] or if the objects can actually become phones is an entirely different affair.
** UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Averted. People who see Doppio talking to himself in these "phones" react like any normal person would.
* SlipknotPonytail: Played with. Doppio's hair is mostly pinned back in a very elaborate braid or tied back with a scrunchie and, while it doesn't come undone while fighting Risotto, [[spoiler: somehow it becomes undone with the simple action of removing his sweater]].
* SplitPersonality: [[spoiler:To Diavolo.]]
* VillainProtagonist: During the Risotto Nero fight, if you're cheering Doppio on.
* VoicesAreMental: [[spoiler:Played with, since Diavolo technically can alter how any part of Doppio looks and may not just be external.]]
* YouthfulFreckles

[[folder:La Squadra di Esecuzione]]

!! Tropes Associated With La Squadra di Esecuzione
* AntiVillain: A great deal of them, especially Nero and Pesche have humanizing traits of TrueCompanions-ship despite being the enemies of the heroes, as well as their need for vengeance against the BigBad for killing their two friends. They still want the money of the drug trade, mind you.
* {{Determinator}}: Their motto is to never back down in a fight, even in the brink of death.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: While antagonizing the heroes for a great majority of the saga, they are ultimately a wall to beat in order to get to the BigBad's group.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler: Because Diavolo didn't want to promote them and then ''murdered'' two of their members, La Squadra got involved in the plot.]]
* [[ProfessionalKiller Professional Killers]]
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: Formaggio barely fought, Illuso only really mugged the heroes, Prosciutto and Pesci failed in their attempt, Melone was threatening for a few pages, Ghiaccio nearly killed Mista and Giorno[[note]]though to be fair, Giorno did think it was a good idea to fight an ice user in ''water''[[/note]], and Risotto was two moves away from removing [[spoiler: the BigBad Diavolo]] off the face of the earth.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:Diavolo was using them to fight off the heroes, hoping they'd kill each other in their race to find the boss and kill him, rather than kill them all himself. This turns out to be a mistake that almost [[NiceJobFixingItVillain gets him killed by the remaining member, Nero,]] if not for a coincidental attack by Narancia on the latter.]]

! Sorbet and Gelato

A possibly gay couple of assassins that, after realizing they had little territory, attempted to discover Diavolo's identity. [[spoiler: As you can see from the fact that they're labled posthumous, it clearly did not end well. Sorbet was hacked to pieces and Gelato suffocated.]] It's unknown whether or not they were Stand users.
* AmbiguouslyGay
* EdibleThemeNaming: They're both named after ice-cream-esque desserts: sorbet is flavored frozen water, gelato is Italian for "ice cream".
* ForcedToWatch: Gelato had to watch Sorbet's death and was so horrified by it that he ate his gag and thus choked himself to death.
* {{Gorn}}: Sorbet's fate.
* IShallTauntYou: When Gelato's body was delivered to his teammates, Diavolo attached a note that only said "Punishment" and left the gag in. He also went the extra mile with Sorbet, having preserved his corpse with ''Formaldehyde'' and stuck it in little frames that, when put together, made the entirety of the corpse.
* PlotTriggeringDeath: For La Squadra, who always resented Diavolo but never acted upon their hatred until Sorbet and Gelato died.
* PosthumousCharacter
* ShoutOut: Their deaths are reminiscent to [[Film/TheGodfather Luca Brasi's killing of two enemies]].
* StuffedInTheFridge: Both, but especially Sorbet.

! Formaggio (Stand: Little Feet)
-> Voiced by: Creator/YujiKishi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

The sadistic first member met by the main characters. He engages Narancia in battle in order to kidnap Trish, resulting in a one-verses-one. [[spoiler: After being lit on fire, Formaggio's attempts to douse the flames causes him to be seen by Aerosmith. He then attempts to fight head-on, but is quickly shot down.]]

Little Feet can shrink Formaggio or other people by touch, which also diminishes their weight and can create unusual weapons. By growing an object back to full size, it can potentially damage someone by stabbing into them or alternatively make a quick get-away ala catapult.
* AnimeHair: He looks like he's wearing orange skin on his head.
* BlackComedy: When we first meet Formaggio, he's wrangling a cat while reading the newest email. As he leaves the room, [[spoiler: we pan out to see he's left his cat in a bottle.]]
** Later, when he greets Narancia, he opens it up by joking about Polpo's death and how he'd have to be chopped to piece just to fit into the incinerator, [[spoiler: then instantly jumps into attacking and asking why Narancia and his friends didn't bother to attend the funeral.]]
* EdibleThemeNaming: Cheese.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* ImprovFu: Used a rat and a pen to escape Nanarcia.
** ImprobableWeaponUser: He also sics a spider on Nanarcia by sticking the two in a bottle he has and in the video game he'll throw furniture at you by shrinking them, throwing them, and allowing them to grow back to full size mid-throw.
* IncredibleShrinkingMan: Little Feet can do this to both Formaggio and his targets. He can freely toggle the effect on himself. They can't.
* {{Jerkass}}: Easily the least sympathetic assassin, but then again [[spoiler: he might be reeling from the deaths of Sorbet and Gelato.]]
* KindheartedCatLover: Sort of. His opening scene, as seen above, is him wrestling with his cat to pet it.
* ManOnFire: [[spoiler:How he meets his end.]]

! Illuso (Stand: Man In The Mirror)
-> Voiced by: Akira Negishi (''Vento Aureo'' video game), KazuyaNakai (''Eyes Of Heaven'')

A very confident assassin, Illuso sticks to his world of mirrors when planning attacks. He attacks Giorno, Abbacchio, and Fugo while they're in Pompeii to pick up a key Diavolo left them, and while he's successful in defeating Abbacchio, [[spoiler: he becomes the only victim to Fugo's Purple Haze.]]

Man in The Mirror allows Illuso to travel in mirror dimensions and makes him invisible to anyone he isn't dragging into the world with him. Since Stands can only be harmed by other Stands, unless one is brought in with a victim, Illuso is mostly untouchable by anything other than the real world and more conventional weapons.
* BareYourMidriff: Illuso's outfit only shows two parts of his body, excluding his hands and face: the top part of his chest, and his stomach.
* CallBack: To the Hanged Man battle in ''Part 3'', with Abbacchio playing the Kakyoin to Fugo's Polnareff. He also greatly resembles Steely Dan from the same part, another villain that Kakyoin and Polnareff teamed up against.
** SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Illuso in general is a call back to J. Geil. During his fight with Fugo, Abbacchio, and Giorno, only Fugo could see him at first, similar to how Polnareff was having problems proving J. Geil was attacking him. Later, in Purple Haze Feedback, [[spoiler: it's revealed he's the killer of Sheila E's sister and she was seeking revenge for it.]]
** {{Irony}}: Remember when Kakyoin dismissed Polnareff's 'mirror world' theory about The Hanged Man's powers because "there's no such thing as a world in the mirror"? Well...
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler:This is when we learned what Purple Haze can do.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Implied to be inverted in ''Purple Haze Feedback''. Despite the fact that Murolo disliked La Squadra [[spoiler: and was actually the one that essentially lead Ghiaccio and Risotto to their deaths out of disdain for them]], he double-takes when Sheila E reveals her disdain for Illuso and scoffs "What did he do to you?"
* GlassCannon: Man In The Mirror can win a fight in about five seconds and out of La Squadra, Illuso has the most Range (with the Mirror World stretching ''hundreds'' of meters, compared to Graceful Dead's estimated 25 meters). Illuso also fully understands his Stand; the only other person in La Squadra who has an E-Rank in Learning is Ghiaccio. ...That said, Illuso has ''the worst'' Durability and in-universe he even acknowledges the fact that it's physically weak.
* ImpracticallyFancyOutfit: Who has the time and the money to order a shirt, a pair of pants and a vest ''made entirely out of puffed quilted fabric?'' In some panels, Illuso's metal cuffs are revealed to actually be '''more''' quilted fabric.
* ImprovisedWeapon: Illuso actually has a weapon on hand - mirror shards. His standard attack in the ''Vento Aureo'' game is throwing mirror shards, and in his attacks you can also see him using one as a makeshift dagger. In the manga, he grabs one once he's pinned down Abbacchio and then later on nearly uses one to slice Giorno's throat.
* InfoDump: His first action after dragging Fugo into the Mirror World and knocking him off his feet is to [[AsYouKnow read off a shortened version of Fugo's life history, which later was restated for PHF.]] He also implies that while he doesn't have anything on their Stands, he ''does'' know Abbacchio's backstory as well, and probably would've gathered something on Giorno if he had the time.
** KnowledgeBroker: Might be this to La Squadra, considering that Formaggio [[CriticalResearchFailure had no idea that Narancia was even a Stand user to begin with]], the rest of the team severely underrated their opponents, and the fact that Illuso's abilities aren't suited for assassination as much as they are spying. He's also the most observative in battle, being able to hear Abbacchio run off to find the key and later on used fractured mirror shards to his advantage, as well as [[spoiler: spot when the key disappeared, despite being in mid-speech.]]
* LifeOrLimbDecision: When he's infected by Purple Haze's virus, he [[PortalCut cuts his arm off between the mirror world and the real world.]]
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: '''Subverted'''. [[spoiler:He not only flies into a panic upon seeing Abbacchio's wound but also stops rationalizing the moment he needs to cut off his own hand.]]
* MeaningfulName: It sounds similar to ''Illusion'' (or its Italian form, ''Illusione''), which would kinda match the power of Man In The Mirror. However, it actually means [[spoiler:"deluded" or "fool". Seeing how he found his demise, it's quite fitting.]] As well, he's the only one out of La Squadra to not have a food-related name.
** Apparently he actually has a title: "Illuso of the Mirror".
* MirrorMonster: He used to be the picture for that page.
* NoNameGiven: Illuso never introduces himself or actually, properly [[ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy explains what his Stand does outside of "I removed your powers"]], leaving it up to ShowDontTell - this is in a series where someone usually narrates the enemy's power (in fact, Abbacchio did this in the battle about Purple Haze). The only times his name is given is when it introduces his Stand, which is also when his powers are explained (in volume 51), at the start of volume 52 in a caption box, and when Pesci comments on seeking revenge for "Illuso of the Mirror".
* TheStoic: Remarkably, Illuso is the only member of La Squadra who, through the fight, doesn't become overly angry or panicky. Even his pride is pretty subdued since he's attempting to stick to his mission. Compared to this, about the only other person who doesn't emote as much as him is Risotto Nero.
** [[spoiler:NotSoStoic: And then Abbacchio cuts of his hand and everything just nosedives for Illuso's mood.]]
* PowerNullifier: His mirror world powers effectively act as this, allowing him to separate a stand user from his Stand and rendering them completely helpless (though he can be tricked into pulling a Stand into the mirror world as Abbacchio demonstrates.)
** To be exact, the Mirror World is entirely made up of energy, similar to how Stands are. By cutting people away from the energy of Stands, it can separate a Stand user from its abilities; it might also be able to separate people from their weapons, even if it's a non-Stand object. Illuso is the only person capable of touching anything in the Mirror World as well, and it may be that only Stands can harm Illuso while he's in the Mirror World.
** TheLawOfConservationOfDetail: Also, according to Man In The Mirror's rules, '''clothing is also energy.''' Which means, [[CovertPervert if Illuso chooses so, combined with the fact he can appear invisible if he desires...]]
* SelectiveObliviousness: Inverted and enforced. A helpful thing about Man in the Mirror is that only one person out of a party, the person Illuso's targeting, will be able to see Illuso in the reflection.
* SmugSnake: Up until he realizes he's screwed.
* [[spoiler:VillainsWantMercy: Played with; although he doesn't exactly beg for mercy, per say, he ''does'' beg for a death that isn't Purple Haze. Considering what it ends up doing to him, Illuso was absolutely justified.]]
* [[spoiler:WhatTheHellHero: Breaks from the fight to call out Abbacchio for cutting off his hand]] and then later [[spoiler: essentially screeches this to Giorno when he takes the Purple Haze infection inside the Mirror World.]]

! Prosciutto (Stand: The Grateful Dead)
-> Voiced by: TakumaTerashima (''All-Star Battle''), TakayasuUsui (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A very supportive assassin, Prosciutto is Pesci's partner and often reminds him how strong he is. He's a sort of "big brother" archtype to the group, and he attacks with Pesci on a train the heroes have boarded to get to Florence. He's also ruthless and doesn't take chances, immediately shooting at Mista when Prosciutto has him pinned. [[spoiler: Using Sticky Fingers, Buccellati manages to shove Prosciutto out of the train and '''into the wheels''', but Prosciutto only dies after losing his will to live after Pesci falls.]]

The Grateful Dead accelerates aging, both mentally and physically to certain points - infants would have their skin wrinkled and would succumb to their hair falling out instead of just outright growing them into adults. It's one of the few Stands that can affect its user, as Prosciutto can change his appearance should he need to. It can also target genders independently by making one gender grow older faster or slower than others, but this is because of a difference of body temperatures.
* AffablyEvil: Despite being a ruthless assassin, he still wants Pesci to believe in himself, and also recognizes [[WorthyOpponent Bruno's worth as a capo]].
* TheCameo: He and Pesci appear as Stage Hazards on the Naples Train stage in ASB.
* CatchPhrase: "Whenever we think of the word "kill", in reality it has already happened!"
* ConsummateProfessional: Played with. He generally nice to Pesci, but a lot of his screen-time is devoted to teaching Pesci about his inner strength, which actually succeeds when Prosciutto is [[spoiler: is shoved out of the train]].
* TheDeterminator: [[spoiler:He promised Pesci that he'd keep his Stand running even if all his limbs were broken, and he ''meant it.'']]
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Ham". No, really. Ironically, he prefers fish sticks.
** MeaningfulName: The word ''prosciutto'' derives from Latin pro (before) and exsuctus (to suck out [moisture]).
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: His Stand has eyes all over its body.
* EldritchAbomination: The Grateful Dead probably has the most Lovecraftian design out of all the Stands. Enforced with Araki's comments, as he once planned to make a lower half for the Stand and then changed his mind.
* TheFaceless: During his first few appearances, his face is obscured by shadows.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: You have to wonder, though, what kind of level-headed person manages to form a Stand ''based off killing others with age.''
* TheGunslinger: Only member of La Squadra [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim shown using a gun.]]
* HairTriggerTemper: As seen when he beats Pesci for feeling weak in his abilities. Zig-zagged, however, as Prosciutto is just as quick to cool down.
* InSeriesNickname[=/=]JapaneseSiblingTerminology: "Aniki"/"Big brother" by Pesci. Works have often used "Fratello" (the Italian word for "brother") in place.
* {{Irony}}: Prosciutto's Stand is affected by temperature, specifically lower temperatures, which another one of the assassins on La Sqaudra can manipulate. Seems kind of convenient, especially since they share the same temper.
* MadeOfIron: It's one thing to fall off of a train and survive. It's quite another to be [[spoiler:CRUSHED UNDER THE WHEELS OF ONE AND STILL KEEP HIS STAND RUNNING FOR A FEW MORE MINUTES.]]
* RapidAging: Within a matter of seconds to boot.
* SelectiveSlaughter: Enforced. The Grateful Dead's aging affect is slowed down not just by ice, but also by whether or not you're male or female.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Officially, Prosciutto is platinum blonde. According to ASB, however, his hair is just nearly as green as Pesci's.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: The Grateful Dead can do this to Prosciutto. [[spoiler:It's how he manages to trick Mista.]]

! Pesci (Stand: Beach Boy)
-> Voiced by: ShinyaFukumatsu (''All-Star Battle''), TomohiroNishimura (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

Prosciutto's partner in crime, Pesci is very eager to please his partner and will do anything he asks. However, he's very cowardly at first and lacks a lot of strength, not helped by his odd Stand. However, when [[spoiler: Prosciutto is shoved under the train]], Pesci finds his inner strength his friend always told him about and begins to fight seriously, making even Buccellati hesitant. [[spoiler: He dies when Buccellati slices him into pieces using his Stand and then dumps his body into the nearby river.]]

Beach Boy is a fishing rod capable of three things: it's capable of tracking people and literally fishing them out from other rooms, it can phase through any and all objects including skin, and attacking the line simply reflects damage.
* AnimeHair
* AttackReflector: All attacking the line will do is bounce your own attack back at you. [[spoiler:However, Buccellati manages to use this to his own advantage and to Prosciutto's detriment.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's mostly a shy person who respects Prosciutto as his brother. But once Buccellati [[spoiler:crushes Prosciutto under the train]]... he [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge stops being shy.]]
* TheCameo: The stage hazard of Naples Train in ASB, as well as being the Situation Finish.
* CowardlyLion
* DubNameChange: "Beach Boy" becomes "Fisher Man" in English-language versions of ''All-Star Battle''. One can imagine Mike Love having a hard time with them otherwise.
* EdibleThemeNaming / MeaningfulName: Italian for ''fish''... the noun, mind you, not the verb. More correctly, ''fishes''.
* {{Gonk}}
* ImprobableWeaponUser: A FISHING ROD. Pesci's stand is ''a fishing rod''. [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower This being [=JoJo=], he manages to make it extremely lethal.]]
* {{Intangibility}}: Beach Boy can selectively go through matter, making it very deadly in an enclosed environment.
* JapaneseSiblingTerminology: See Prosciutto's InSeriesNickname.
* LetsGetDangerous / TookALevelInBadass: When Pesci gains confidence in himself, he nearly kills Bruno Buccellati during their battle. Lampashaded by Buccellati who admits that the deadly user on the train was Pesci and not Prosciutto.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Buccellati unzips himself into a dozen pieces, including splitting his ''heart'' in half, to hide from Beach Boy's hook. He holds it so long that he almost dies... [[spoiler:until Pesci, flipping out in a rage over Prosciutto's death, forces the train to stop. This jumbles Buccellati's separated pieces back into each other, causing him to instinctively zip them together and revive.]]
* WeirdnessMagnet
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: His hair is green.

! Melone (Stand: Baby Face)
-> Voiced by: Creator/KenjiNojima (''All-Star Battle''), Creator/HidenobuKiuchi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A rather passive researcher and assassin, Melone's Stand requires him to act like a nut, so how much of his personality is simply natural is unknown. However, he seems to be very good at deducing things like blood type from simply licking people, treats humans like cattle to be bred for the ultimate weapons, and his dedication to his job of killing others shows in how he teaches his Stand. [[spoiler: After Giorno defeats a Baby Face homunculus by burning it to death, he transforms a part of it into a poisonous snake, which of course heads right back to Melone.]]

Baby Face is a remote Stand taking the shape of a computer that can generate homonculi, which after Melone trains them for a short bit can act as remote soldiers that grow. These creatures gain their personalities from the women Melone uses to form his Stands, and with "improper teaching" (or just brutally attacking them), they will spin out of control.
* {{Bishonen}}
* BodyHorror: Baby Face can break objects up into cubes, including living people, and transform them into other objects (or in the case of living things, just kill them by ripping out cubes of flesh.) It also comes into being by infecting a human host and learning from them for a short period of time before deconstructing them for extra mass.
* TheCameo: Guide to the Option Menu in ASB, and is described by Speedwagon as a freak.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Melon"; think cantaloupes.
* EvilCounterpart: Giorno notes that Baby Face's ability to turn living things into inanimate objects mirror's Gold Experience's ability to turn inanimate objects into living things.
* FashionableAsymmetry: His right eye is covered by his mask and the right side of his suit has pieces missing.
* FetusTerrible[=/=]EnfantTerrible: His Stand actually ''creates'' these.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: Sort of. After killing Baby Face, Giorno transforms its remains into a venomous snake, which returns to Melone and bites him.]]
* KillItWithFire: [[spoiler: How Baby Face eventually meets its end, getting tricked into absorbing the motorcycle it rode in on, and getting killed in the resulting gasoline explosion.]]
* LongHairedPrettyBoy
* PeekABangs: The "deception" variety, though it also makes him look more [[{{Bishonen}} androgynous]].
* PowerIncontinence: In exchange for being a powerful long range stand, Baby Face is completely autonomous, and its willingness to listen to Melone depends on its original host. Unfortunately, this particular Baby Face eventually proves to be a bit too hot-headed and eventually starts disobeying him.

! Ghiaccio (Stand: White Album)
-> Voiced by: Creator/TatsuhisaSuzuki (''All-Star Battle''), TomohiroNishimura (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

A very angry assassin and the last La Squadra member the heroes face. Ghiaccio is prone to ranting and is very arrogant, but is friendly with his companions. He's borderline xenophobic, though - he establishes himself by rambling about France and Italy and he has a great distaste of metaphor meanings. [[spoiler: After a long battle with Mista and Giorno, Giorno pierces Ghiaccio on a tree and completely impales him by the throat on a splintered stick.]]

White Album forms as a body suit with long ice skates for feet. It completely encases Ghiaccio and allows him to alter the temperatures of just about anything, allowing for quick travel on icy routes and providing a rapid cooling of the air around it.
* AnIcePerson: His Stand takes the form of ice armor around his body, and he can rapidly lower temperature in an area to create ice and trap his opponents.
* AnIceSuit / ElementalArmor: Literally, as described above. Additionally, the interior of the armor is insulated like an igloo, since his Stand powers don't actually include resistance to cold.
* AttackReflector: The main use of [[spoiler: White Album Gently Weeps, freezing the air around him to create floating ice crystals that deflect Mista's bullets back at him.]]
* AttackItsWeakPoint: There's a hole in the back of White Album, roughly in the neck area, that allows Ghiaccio to breathe. But, it's Subverted: Ghiaccio has a very nasty surprise for anyone who tries to attack this.
** Still PlayedStraight because it's the only way to harm him.
* TheCameo: The guide for ASB's in-game dictionary, and of course he rants if you attempt to leave.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Sort of. He occasionally goes off on very strange tangents.
* HairTriggerTemper: For some reason, Ghiaccio hates idioms and the corruption of language.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:Mista tricks him into using White Album Gently Weeps when, unbeknownst to Ghiaccio, there's a sharp pole right behind him. Newton's Second Law throws him throat-first onto it.]]
* ImprobableHairstyle: Especially by [=JoJo=] standards. His light hair clings to his head in a low number of large spirals.
* {{Irony}} / {{Foreshadowing}}: [[spoiler: You could say TheLawOfConservationOfDetail accidentally foreshadows his death.]]
* LightningBruiser: Fast enough to keep up with a car, but his armor protects him against any harm and his ice ability can still kill.
* MeaningfulName: Surprise surprise, his name means "ice" in Italian.
* NerdGlasses: He wears a pair of thick-rimmed spectacles.
* RollerbladeGood: Or ice skates good.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Has blue hair.

! Risotto Nero (Stand: Metallica)
-> Voiced by: Creator/YujiKishi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

The leader of La Squadra with emotions like stone, Risotto is the only assassin of the group that doesn't take on Giorno, mostly due to finding a different opponent in Doppio. He's serious and intelligent but doesn't concern himself with common people, but upon realizing Doppio was a Stand user, he engaged in a battle and very nearly won. Appears to be [[spoiler: Though, despite never attacking Giorno, Aerosmith's automatic functions had him killed.]]

Metallica is a colony of white or grey beings shaped like pillows with stitches and hollow eyes living inside Nero. It manipulates iron and magnetism and can form objects within his or victim's bodies as long as they're 100% iron (like needles, razor blades, and scissors). It also can bounce light away from Nero's body, giving him complete invisibility.
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: The human body contains around 3 grams of iron, not enough for even one razor, let alone a pair of scissors.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Took on Doppio, [[spoiler: and by extension the ''boss'']], and was actually doing incredibly well despite it all until Aerosmith came in. Hell, even if he didn't kill Doppio, by the time Aerosmith came in, Doppio had lost '''a lot of blood''' and the only wound Nero had was a lost foot - Diavolo even admits that [[spoiler: he wouldn't have been able to use the full extent of King Crimson because of the lost blood and iron]] and Risotto's Stand can become '''staples''' that can hold his limbs together effortlessly.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy
* BloodyMurder: Although in this case, he's using his ''opponent's'' blood as a weapon.
* BodyHorror: This guy has the ability to transform the iron in a person's bloodstream into any kind of sharp metal objects he pleases, while the iron is still inside the person's body. Hence the [[EstablishingCharacterMoment memorable scene]] where he makes Doppio cough up a handful of razor blades, and then later on summoning needles '''all through-out Doppio's face and neck''' and having them rip themselves out.
* TheCameo: In a very sad sense. Despite there being now ''three'' occasions where he could of appeared, Nero has never been an opponent. However, his model can be found in ''Golden Whirlwind'' and Metallica is the loading screen icon used in both All-Star Battle and Eyes Of Heaven.
* EdibleThemeNaming[=/=]MeaningfulName: "Nero" means black, which matches his outfit and his [[BlackEyesOfCrazy sclerae]]. And like most of his team, he also has some kind of food in his name. All together, it's "rice in cuttlefish ink". This is also a CallBack to Part 2, as Joseph was surprised to learn that noodles in squid ink, "nero di seppia", is an actual dish.
* ExtraOreDinary: But doesn't really bend rocks in of themselves.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* InstantDeathRadius: Though we never see it in action.
* {{Invisibility}}: Thanks to Metallica, he can blend in pretty well.
* TheLeader: Of the Squadra.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Risotto was actually defeating the BigBad until he got shot by accident by Aerosmith.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Killed the guy who murdered his brother in his backstory.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Debated by the fans, as many portrayals of him have his irises as being white to match the rest of his outfit.
* ShapeshifterBaggage: The only way to explain his ability. See ArtisticLicenseBiology.
* StealthHiBye: Although Diavolo knew Risotto was in the area, Doppio didn't do anything until Risotto snuck up behind him and... [[http://bato.to/read/_/137790/jojos-bizarre-adventure-part-5-vento-aureo_v58_ch536-544_by_ignition-one/77 Well.]]
** The pose shown there is also the pose they used for his statue.
* TheStoic[=/=]NotSoStoic: When he finally decides to kill Doppio, his calm expressions turn into a very manic smile.
* TakingYouWithMe: Attempts this with Doppio, but unfortunately fails.
* UhOhEyes
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He does have a jacket, but it's never buttoned and he doesn't wear a shirt under it.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Though to be fair, he was aware he just lost every single man working under him.

! Jotaro Kujo (Stand: Star Platinum)

See [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 Part 3]]

! Koichi Hirose (Stand: Echoes)

See [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart4 Part 4]]

! [[spoiler:Jean-Pierre Polnareff (Stand: Silver Chariot / Silver Chariot Requiem)]]
-> Voiced by: [[spoiler:Fuminori Komatsu (TV anime), HiroakiHirata (''All-Star Battle''), Ken Yamaguchi (CD drama), Creator/KatsujiMori (OVA), Tsutomu Tareki (''Heritage for the Future'' video game), Akira Negishi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)]]

[[spoiler:See [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 Part 3]]]]

! Scolippi (Stand: Rolling Stone)
-> Voiced by: Creator/HidenobuKiuchi (''Vento Aureo'' video game)

* BlessedWithSuck: His Stand [[spoiler:shows him how people who get close to him ''die''. If they touch it, it kills them (peacefully).]] There's nothing he can do but try to warn people, and as an automatic Stand it moves on its own, no matter his wishes.
* EdibleThemeNaming: his name is a distortion of "Scaloppine" (small scallops, thinly sliced meat).
* MessianicArchetype: Starts with a crown of thorns and gets stigmata over the course of his story. This combines with his general demeanor.
* WeirdnessMagnet
* YouCantFightFate: Played straight and averted. Rolling Stone automatically manifests near those it senses will die soon, and even gradually takes the form of what their pose will be at death. However, if the one sensed touches it, it will give them another, less futile way to die.
