On November 11th, 2017, What Pumpkin unveiled the "Troll Call", which was a feature of trolls that will be appearing in Act 2, with two trolls being revealed every week. The Troll Call lasted until March 14th, 2018. The page was updated with some new information and where to find each troll's Friendsim volumes on December 6th, 2018.

Hiveswap Friendsim lets you get to know these trolls a little better.

Tropes applying to all of them
  • Alphabetical Theme Naming:
    • Almost all of the Tealblood trolls (including Terezi) have first names beginning with T. The only exceptions to this rule are Latulanote  and Stelsa. Even then, it should be noted that all known Tealbloods still have at least one T somewhere in their names.
    • Similarly, all Jadebloods seen so far have at least one Y somewhere in their names, including surnames. All known purplebloods also have an A somewhere in their first names, except for Kurloz, who has it in his surname insteadnote .
  • Affably Evil: Some of them are Ax-Crazy and discriminate against Lowbloods, but can also be friendly and won't kill everything on sight. This is especially true in Friendsim, where they can be nice to the MSPA Reader and consider them a friend if the right choices are made, and not all of their bad endings involve them killing the Reader.
  • Expy - Given that this is a Homestuck spinoff, expies of characters from within the comic, as well as those outside of it, are inevitable.
    • Past Homestuck characters:
      • Both Mallek and (Vriska) have a buzzcut and piercings. Elwurd also has part of her hair shaved, similarly-shaped horns, and her bio explicitly states that she's "Not Vriska."
      • Chahut and The Grand Highblood both have long hair and are accompanied with splatters of all blood colors (though, GHB has the splatters in his background and not on himself).
      • Kuprum is reminiscent of Mituna in the sense that they’re both psiionic Goldbloods based off the website 4chan and have eye/headwear of two different colours (although his are purple and yellow as opposed to red and blue).
      • Folykl, meanwhile, has eyes similar to how Sollux's eyes looked after he went blind, implying that she's also blind. One of the game' artists later confirmed this.
      • Vikare is a Bronze troll with horns that look similar to those of Tavros, and shares Tavros' dreams of some kind of flight. His hat and goggles also make him look similar to Horuss, leading to jokes that he's the child of Horuss and Tavros or Rufioh. His Friendsim route reveals that he also has a thirst for adventure and speaks in antiquated language like Jake English.
      • In contrast to Elwurd's "Not Vriska," Ardata's profile says that she is "Probably Vriska." She has a Third Eye which may or may not give her an ability similar to Vriska's Vision Eightfold, a large arachnoid lusus to whom she feeds dead trolls to (though the relationship between them appears to be far less abusive than Vriska and Spidermom's), and can control the minds of lower-blooded trolls.
      • Zebruh is an Indigo-blood with an interest in Olive-blooded females, which harkens back to Equius being moirails with Nepeta. Additionally, his horns look like Horuss' infamous horse dildo.
      • The unnamed Caprira troll's hair as well as his horns' shape resembles Gamzee's quite a bit, and they both look somewhat unusual by their caste's standards. Additionally, the Caprira troll has a gold tooth, possibly suggesting a connection to Lord English, similar to how half of Gamzee was part of said demon.
      • While Remele is the only female Cobaltblood whose bio doesn't mention Vriska, her outfit suggests she's a Pirate Girl (although not necessarily the traditional kind), and she may or may not have abilities similar to Vriska's Vision Eightfold due to her unconventional eyes (one is blank and the other has a strangely-shaped pupil).
      • Galekh's stuffy, formal mannerisms are reminiscent of his fellow indigo Equius, and their horns are very similar.
    • Characters outside of the comic:
      • Cirava's neon green eye and magenta eye patch, as well as their smug-yet-mellow demeanor causes them to resemble the YouTube sensation Roy Purdy. Not too surprising given that their designs take heavy inspiration from 80s/90s trends.
      • Azdaja is a blatant Expy of Vegeta, given his somewhat smug demeanor as well as possibly being a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. He even has Vegeta's scouter, and his first bullet references the infamous over nine-thousand scene. Similarly, his partner Konyyl resembles Nappa, given her muscular appearance and destructive nature.
  • Meaningful Name - Given how Homestuck names its trolls, it's only natural.
    • Zebede is a shortening of Zebedee, the father of James and John in the New Testament. Tongva is a Californian Native American tribe. These are in reference to James Roach, who lives in Long Beach, California (where he assumed the Tongva people once lived).
    • Tyzias references Tisias, a Greek philosopher on logic and debate, while Entykk is an allusion to Antyk, an anti-communist Polish operation.
    • Mallek’s first name could refer to malloc, a function group in C standard library, or Rami Malek, who plays the main character of Mr. Robot. Meanwhile, his last name Adalov refers to Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron and a founder of programming.
    • Daraya could either be a trollification of Daria, or the Somali word for "darling". Her last name Jonjet is a clear reference to Joan Jett, who wrote the song “Cherry Bomb” (which is likewise referenced in Daraya’s Troll Call profile).
    • Barzum and Baizli are trollifications of the titular Barnum and Bailey Circus, which is the Trope Namer for The Barnum, whereas Soleil brings to mind Cirque du Soleil.
    • Nihkee is Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, but could also be a reference to WWE wrestler Nicki Bella. Moolah is either slang for money, or The Fabulous Moolah (more likely the latter since Nihkee appears to be the troll equivalented of a professional wrestler).
    • "Chahut" is French for "mayhem or "bedlam", and may also reference Le Chahut (The Dancers), which is a French Neo-Impressionist painting. Maenad refers to the maenads, who are maniacal female followers of Dionysus.
    • Diemen could either mean the river Diem (itself originating from di eme, meaning "the water"), the German phrase "die men" (the men), or its agricultural definition of "a layered pile of hay, peat, or straw in the open field". Most likely it's a reference to Van Diemen's Land, the old name for Tasmania; Diemen is an oppressed rustblood living off the grid and surviving by theft, and Australia is well known for having been originally colonised by transported criminals used for slave labour. Xicali could be a shortening of Mexicali, the capital city of Baja California, known for its high crime rate. Both are appropriate as Diemen lives by stealing food.
    • Skylla is a variant of "Scylla", a sea monster in Greek mythology. It also means "blame" in Swedish. Koriga is Uzbek for "cousin".
    • Folykl Darane is a trollification of “folliclenote  drain". She’s able to drain psychic energy from others to keep herself alive.
    • Kuprum is the Latin name for copper, which is a material used in batteries. Maxlol references the “Topkek” meme popularly used in Imageboards (originally his last name was supposed to be “Topkek”).
    • Charun refers to Charun, a psychopomp in Estrucan mythology. Krojib is a backwards Trollification of the Icelandic surname Björk, meaning "birch"; the birch is a symbol of new beginnings, fertility, protection, and gentleness.
    • Amisia is derived from Artemisia Ginteleschi, who is known for the portrait Judith beheading Holofernes. Erdehn is based on the German word for earth (ground), "erden".
    • Tirona comes from either Daniel Tirona, a Filipino revolutionary, or "tyranny", as in His Honorable Tyranny. Meanwhile, Kasund is the Filipino word for "agreement".
    • Polypa is from the juvenile form of organisms in the phylum Cnidaria (jellyfish). Goezee refers to Albert Goozee, a 20th century British murderer. In her Friendsim route, it’s established that she’s a Professional Killer who uses poison to kill seadwellers.
    • Tegiri is "a hand that performs its duty" in Japanese. Te-Giri is also a form of martial arts. Meanwhile Kalbur refers to Excalibur, the sword from the Arthurian legends.
    • Lynera refers to Álvaro García Linera, a Bolivian vice president and a fan of Marxism. Skalbi, meanwhile, recalls Kārlis Skalbe, a Latvian writer.
    • Galekh means '(Christian) priest' in Hebrew. Xigisi is short for "Exígisi" (εξήγηση), the Greek word for "explanation". Taken together, both names sound like the word "galaxy".
    • Vikare is the Etruscan name for Icarus, who famously flew too close to the sun and melted his wings. The name could also refer to valkyries, a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Ratite is the name given to classify large flightless birds.
    • Boldir sounds like either Mulder or the Norse god Baldr. Lamati also sounds like 'Illuminati', especially when paired with the second syllable of her first name.
    • Cirava is a corruption of "cīvara", a type of religious robe that Buddhist monks wear. Meanwhile, Hermod refers to a Norse god of war.
    • Tagora means "that mountain" in Russian and various forms of 'mountain' in multiple East-European languages; appropriate, since he's trying to obtain mountains of money and climb the social ladder. It can also be derived from "Pythagoras". Gorjek is phonetically similar to the word "горек" (means "bitter" in Russian).
    • Ardata refers to a character from the fantasy series Malazan Book of the Fallen who was known as the 'Spider Queen'. Carmia is Hebrew for 'Song' and also possibly a reference to 'Carmilla', a female vampire.
    • Marvus, in addition to being an abbreviation of "marvelous", also may be derived from Marvus the Strong, the overseer of the Dark Carnival. Xoloto is juggalo slang for when a fake juggalo tries to be "in" with one's group.
    • Fozzer may come from the word "fossil", but also from the Spanish word "fosa", which is a hole dug specifically to bury one or more corpses. Velyes is the Russian god of the earth and underworld.
    • Stelsa could be from the word "stealth", whereas Sezyat refers to Seshat, the Egyptian goddess of writing and maths.
    • Wanshi comes from Wan Shi Tong, a Chinese phrase which means “He who knows ten thousand things”, and may also be a reference to the all-knowing owl from Avatar franchise. Meanwhile Adyata means "child of Aditi" and is another name for the sun god Surya.
    • Bronya is Russian for 'Armor', while Ursama could be derived from the constellation Ursa Major. This likely explains her Mama Bear tendencies. Ursama could also be a combination of "ursa", "ma", and "-sama", a Japanese honorific used to refer to someone of higher status, as her design evokes a Japanese class representative.
    • Chixie has multiple Chinese meanings: ‘armored’ (持械), ‘to eat (crab)’ (吃些/吃蟹) or ‘later’ (迟些). Meanwhile, Roixmr might be derived from "Roxim", which is a brand name for the antibiotic Cefixime.
    • Zebruh is clearly a pun on the word “zebra” and the slang term “bruh”. Incidentally he has a zebra lusus and appears to have unconsciously learned his Fantastic Racism tendencies from it, while simultaneously adopting black-and-white views on social justice. Real zebras are apparently known for actually behaving in a way not entirely dissimilar to him. His last name Codakk references Dresden Codak, specifically the controversy that its author was involved in; said author has also talked about how much he likes zebras. It also sounds like Kodak, the camera brand, and Zebruh was known as "Groupie" in the leak and behaves like a stalker towards lowblood singer Chixie.
    • Azdaja is Serbian for "dragon", likely tying in to the fact that he references Dragon Ball Z. It could also come from the demon Kasdeya from the Book of Enoch.
    • Konyyl could be a trollification of the word "konul", which is Azerbaijani for "heart, soul", whereas Okimaw is a Plains Cree word for the leader of a tribe.
    • Karako is both the shortened version of the Arabic word 'karakoze', meaning clown, and refers to a Japanese genre of art themed around the innocence and youth of Chinese children playing, while Pierot is a shortened version of "pierrot", a character type from French pantomime which is similar to a clown.
    • Marsti is a Sanskrit word meaning (among other things) "purify" and "cleanse", a reference to her being in the "scrub life". Her last name Houtek alludes to the comet Kohoutek, a celestial body infamous for being considered underwhelming compared to the hype for its once-in-an-epoch appearance. It could also be a corruption of "Houdek", a type of soil unique to South Dakota.
    • Lanque could be derived from the word "langue" (both "language" and “tongue” in French, possibly referencing his former bullet point in which he was stated to have a sharp tongue), or from the word "calanque", a cove or inlet on the Mediterranean coast of France. Meanwhile, Bombyx comes from Bombyx mori, the taxonomic name of the silkworm.
    • Remele in Hungarian translates to "expected", while Namaaq could be either be a rendition of the Dutch word 'namaak' (which means 'fake') or translation of "sack" in Swahili, which may refer to her "taking your shit and making it better."
    • Elwurd is a reference to the word lesbian, sometimes colloquialized as "the l word".
  • Planet of Copyhats: Most of the trolls have some kind of similarity to the Homestuck trolls they share a blood colour with:
    • All known Purplebloods wear face paint and are associated with circuses in some way, implying that the religious following Gamzee was part of is common among Purplebloods, if not exclusive to them. Knowing Alternian culture, being part of that religion might be required of all Purplebloods, or else.
    • Similarly, most of the revealed Goldbloods have Technicolour Eyes and some sort of psiionics. The only exceptions to this rule are Folykl, who lacks eyes and drains the powers of others as a result of a condition called voidrot, and Zebede, who has normal eyes and no known proof of psychic powers (except possibly being able to communicate with bees). Most Goldbloods also have four horns, except for Azdaja, who only has three, and it's unknown if he was always that way or if he once had a fourth horn that he lost.
    • All known Jadebloods have a single notched horn, except for Lanque, who has two.
    • Similarly, all Colbaltbloods have at least one spiked horn, with the exception of Ardata Carmia. Some of them also have unusual eyes, and it's implied this ties in with them having the same mind control abilities as Vriska.
    • Most known Tealbloods, namely Tyzias, Tagora, Tegiri, and Tirona, have jobs relating to Alternian Law. It's implied that they must be involved in the legal system, and are culled if they don't perform their duty.
  • Take That!: Some of the trolls are partly based off of internet archetypes. For example, Kuprum is most likely a call-out to 4chan trolls, being a “stringent online crusader for the empire”, while Tegiri is based off of otaku tough guys.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: All of them are children or teenagers, and almost all of them display extremely violent and/or occasionally inappropriately sexual behavior. Cirava doesn't do the latter and has only been seen to physically harm themself, but openly does drugs with the MSPA Reader.
  • Uniqueness Decay: Played With. The mutations that both Vriska and Sollux had seem to be more common comparatively in gold bloods and cerulean bloods that we see, but as they do not make up the whole caste, this is likely the Reader running into the very small minority that happens to have these mutations. Played straight with Jadebloods, as Kanaya's blood was noted to be pretty rare but they appear just as much as any of the other trolls (bar sea dwellers). Purple bloods are from the same cult as Gamzee despite it being described as very obscure and yet it seems to make up the whole caste. Then again, Hiveswap does take place at least a hundred sweeps before Homestuck, so it might have become more obscure during that time.

    Diemen Xicali

An Arrius with a fascination with "oblong meat products". Revealed on December 6, 2017. He appeared in the first volume of Hiveswap Friendsim, which released on April 13th, 2018.

(| speaks in all lowercase letters. doesn't use punctuation at the end of a line |)
(| surrounds his text with these oblong meat product buns |)
(| does capitalize Hotdog and any synonyms of it |)

  • Accidental Murder: Can become a victim of this in Friendsim at your hands if you eat a hotdog with him "Lady and the Tramp style", in which he chokes on his end of the hotdog before falling back and snapping his neck on a sharp rock.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: He reveals that he's always been made fun of due to his obsession with hotdogs. It doesn't help that he's a Rustblood, meaning that he’s constantly at risk of being culled.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: His official aspect is Hope.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: According to Friendsim, he isn't used to being treated nicely. This makes sense because he's the lowest blood caste, and fellow Rustblood Xefros feels a similar way. Unlike Xefros, however, he does get quite emotional about it.
  • Doomed Hometown: Friendsim reveals that his hive was destroyed by drones. Hence he’s forced to live on the streets and prioritise food-finding, all while avoiding being killed. In a later volume, Mallek offers to find him a place to live, but he declines, likely because he could still get in trouble for having a dead lusus.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are always hidden behind his hair.
  • Innocent Innuendo: His repeated mentions of his hotdogs in Friendsim are often misworded to the point where they could be easily mistaken for sexual euphemisms. This isn’t helped by the fact that hotdogs are generally seen as a phallic food, nor the fact that his route often plays saxophone music that could probably fit in an H-game.
(| you just want a friend and not my Sweet Meat |)
  • Leitmotif: "Moonshine" by Alexander Rosetti. An exaggerated piece with prominent saxophone.
  • My Parents Are Dead: He reveals in Friendsim that his lusus was killed, presumably at the same time that his hive was destroyed.
  • Mystery Meat:
    oblong meat product contents: uncertain
  • Older Than They Look / Vague Age: His Troll Call sprite is proportioned like a literal toddler, and his haircut and clothes look like the sort a very small child would have. In-game he's clearly older than that, but still looks very young. The PC doesn't note that he's especially young, though, while they do with some of the other trolls.
  • Stepford Smiler: While he has one of the cutest mugs of all trolls, he has a lot of emotional baggage given that his lusus died, he's currently homeless, and he's part of the lowest blood caste, meaning that he's often ostracised and is typically at risk for execution.
  • Trademark Favourite Food: Apparently he really likes Alternian hot dogs, or "oblong meat products." His horns even resemble the ends of hot dogs.
  • The Unreveal: In Friendsim he mentions his lusus died, but doesn't say what kind of creature it was. Act 2 doesn't reveal anything about it.
  • Youthful Freckles: In fact, Diemen's freckles prove that trolls can have freckles. While his actual age is unknown, they make him appear to be younger than most trolls as well.

    Marsti Houtek
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/36_marsti_houtek_2.png
Astronaut
Click here to see her leaked image.
An Arittarius janitor who was revealed along with the unnamed purple troll. She also appears along with the same troll in Friendsim's fourteenth volume, released October 12th, 2018.
Speaks with proper capitalization but sparse punctuation and no periods -_-
Ends her sentences with a face reminiscent of her goggles -_-

  • Berserk Button: The MSPA Reader innocently asks if she's considered going into medicine, and Marsti flips out at them, saying that if she applied to be a medic off-world, the best she'd get is being laughed at and handed a mop.
  • Challenge Seeker: Has this attitude when it comes to finding places to clean. She'll dismiss places that seem too quick and easy, or places that she's cleaned before.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She talks like this most of the time. She even ends her sentences with "-_-" which is supposed to represent her goggles, but can easily represent an unamused face. Sometimes she stretches it out when she's particularly annoyed.
  • Dispense with the Pleasantries: Her Friendsim route has her dismiss the MSPA Reader's attempts to befriend her, though she does open up slightly when they stay around.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Seems to have this attitude towards those who want to help her, thinking that she can handle herself well enough even if she is a lowblood, and when she does let you help her, it's not presented as her being in need.
  • Hidden Depths: She seems to have some knowledge on troll biology and diseases, as she's able to tell Folykl has voidrot and advises that cleaning herself makes it easier to absorb energy. When presented with the idea of getting a medical job, she dismisses it because she doubts someone of her blood caste would be able to.
  • Ice Queen: She's rather cynical and most of the times she smiles are when she snarks.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She has a sour personality, and can abandon you when Galekh's lusus eats some of his books just before he gets home, but she hardly goes out of her way to be mean to people unless they're mean to her first, or are just annoying. She's mostly just snarky.
  • Leitmotif: "SERVICE CAR" by James Roach. It is a song originally written for an area full of other burgundy blooded trolls.
  • Making a Spectacle of Yourself: It's debatable as to whether or not she can see out of those goggles.
  • Neat Freak: Played with. She claims to not enjoy cleaning, only doing it because someone has to. That said, she'll clean just about anything that needs cleaning, even actively searching for places where she can do it. She also smiles when she sees how dirty Folykl is.
  • Power of the Void: Her official aspect is Void.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: She's mostly cold and aloof, just wanting to be left to clean in peace, but she's open to ideas of places where she can clean, and gives Folykl some useful advice about how she could improve her condition by bathing.

    Fozzer Velyes
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/27_fozzer_velyes.png
Lost
Click here to see his leaked image.
An Aro digger who was revealed on 7th February, 2018. He appears along with Marvus in Volume 16 of Friendsim, released 9th November, 2018.
Talks_with_proper_capitalization_and_punctuation_and_replaces_spaces_with_underscores.

  • Due to the Dead: He digs graves even though trolls do not commonly bury their dead. He does so because something has to be done with those bodies, and because he doesn't want to be bothered by ghosts.
  • Flat-Earth Atheist: He says that if he encounters ghosts he'll tell them to go away since he doesn't believe in them.
  • Flipping the Bird: Does this in his second bad ending after a reset in time causes his views to completely change and the MSPA Reader says the same thing they said to him earlier.
  • Gonk: Compared to the other trolls that have been introduced thus far, he's not the most attractive of the bunch. His Friendsim sprites make him look more cartoon-like than Animesque.
  • Leitmotif: "GRAVEYARD SHIFT (PLAY THE ROUTE AND THEN TWEET @hamestron ABOUT HOW GOOD THIS TITLE IS)" by James Roach. It's a very ethereal piece that highlights the spookiness that surrounds Fozzer.
  • Mood-Swinger: His troll card has switched between his sadder-looking spade version and the one pictured here. His Friendsim route also presents him as this. He's shown to be happy at first, but gets annoyed when the MSPA Reader tells him they think Alternia is alright instead of bad, and will be happy if they tell him it's bad. But then after the flash of light causes time to reset, if the Reader tells him Alternia is bad, he'll get annoyed, and they'll have to tell him it's alright to get the good ending.
  • Pun: His spade's slick.
  • Shovel Strike: Is shown using a spade, though he hasn't yet had any reason to attack anyone with it.
  • Soul Power: His official aspect is Heart.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: He goes out of his way to insist repeatedly that he doesn't believe in ghosts, though, as a member of the caste known for being able to speak with them, he knows damn well that ghosts exist in-'verse.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: In Act 2, he is seen at the train station, and he's planning to catch the train to Jeevik week, yet he's nowhere to be found once you get on the train. It's unclear if he changed his mind, missed the train, couldn't even get on the train because of the lack of room in the lowblood car, or if he was there but was hidden behind the many trolls in the background.

Bronzebloods

    Skylla Koriga
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/10_skylla_koriga.png
Prosperous
A Taurist vegetarian. Revealed together with Diemen. She appears alongside Bronya in Volume 3 of Friendsim, released May 11th, 2018.

Speaks with a countryy drawl and doubles her yys, but otherwise has proper grammar and capitalization.

  • Amazonian Beauty: In Friendsim the MSPA Reader finds her appearance and combat skills attractive. As shown in her Good Ending screen, she's also at least a head taller than the MSPA Reader.
  • Badass Normal: She doesn't appear to have any sort of powers or Super-Strength granted by her blood; she's just that strong on her own.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's friendly and accommodating, despite you being an alien. However, when she's up against some lusus thieves, she proves that she can, when needed, still whoop some ass like any other troll. She's also willing to send a Professional Killer after the thieves.
  • Big Friendly Dog: Her lusus, Lady. She gets kidnapped by bandits on Skylla's route, necessitating Skylla's (and possibly also your) intervention.
  • Cool Big Sis: Acts like one towards you, and she even prepares pancakes with syrup for you upon saving you from the brutal Alternian sun.
  • Cowgirl: She's got the appearance down, mouth pick and all. Fans even called her "Cowgirl Vriska" before it was revealed she was only a bronzeblood.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: During the fight with the lusus thieves, she uses just her fists and the butt of a gun to great effect.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: She was raised by a dog, and she's one of the more just trolls introduced.
  • Irony:
    • The vegetarian troll was revealed alongside a troll whose favorite food is hotdogs.
    • The Troll who befriends the MSPA Reader the easiest is also the one character they show a potential desire to romance instead.
  • Leitmotif: "Dapper Dueling" and "Bronze Brawling" both by Max Wright. The former, Skylla shares with Jake English and the latter being written after the release of the Friendsim. Both are fast-paced songs that don't feel out of place in a Western showdown.
  • Nice Girl: She's quite friendly and welcoming towards you, and, unlike the other trolls introduced, gives you a proper meal upon bringing you into her hive. In Friendsim Volume 7, she gets Konyyl to stop the lusus theives. Her lusus is fine, it's other troll's lusii who are in trouble.
  • Ship Tease: She may or may not have black feelings for Konyyl, which she likes to tease her about.
  • Time Master: A potential hero of time. The 2021 calendar for Homestuck suggests she'd be a Knight of Time, like Dave.

    Vikare Ratite
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/21_vikare_ratite.png
Revealer
A Taurza aviator. Revealed on January 17th, 2018. The fourth volume of Friendsim, which released on May 25th in 2018, features Vikare as a befriendable troll.
~Speaks in an antiquated style with perfect capitalization and near-perfect punctuation. He tends to omit periods at the end of his dialogue~
~Puts his dialogue in between tildes, most likely representing wind~

  • American Accents: The Friendsim main character describes his voice like "it sounds like it belongs over a newsreel about World War II," giving him somewhat of a Mid-Atlantic accent.
  • Antiquated Linguistics: Downplayed, though his manner of speaking is strangely flowery and reminiscent of the early 20th century.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Where do we begin? Vikare is one of the stranger trolls in the Hiveswap Friendsim because all of his endings end in such unexpected ways, highlighting the truly bewildering social dynamics of Alternia. Vikare scoffs at the existence of flying machines that aren't spacecraft, he mistakes the main character's paranoia as blackrom advances, and he delights in having fallen off a cliff.
  • Bungling Inventor: Vikare wants to create a flying machine that's not spacecraft, and he has sketches of designs he'd like to build.
  • Call of the Wild Blue Yonder: Vikare dreams of non-interstellar flight.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: His head is always in the clouds, apparently. The way he talks certainly implies this.
  • Fan Boy: Of the band Hatched 2 Dance, the Alternian equivalent of BTS. Though this trait seems to have been given to Zebede in the actual games.
  • Genki Guy: Vikare squees over anything related to flying, and it helps that he’s quite friendly.
  • Leitmotif: "Thip of the Tongue" by Alexander Rosetti. Vikare shares his theme with the Newts, the consorts of Jade's land. It is a bagpipe melody with an atmosphere of adventure.
  • Mistaken for Romance: In one of his endings, he mistakes the MSPA Reader's fears as blackrom flirting.
  • Nerd Glasses: Well, they’re goggles, but they have the same implications, given his immense squeeing over aviation.
  • Nice Guy: He’s quite accommodating towards the MSPA Reader, and the latter remarks that he’s a friendly fellow.
  • Psychic Powers: His official aspect is Mind, he also presumably has the animal communion powers that are common on brozebloods, though we have yet to see him use them.
  • Those Magnificent Flying Machines: Vikare has sketches of machines he'd like to build for his dreams of flight.

    Chixie Roixmr
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/31_chixie_roixmr_9.png
Transient
A Taurra who was revealed on 21st February, 2018. She appears in the eigth Volume of Friendsim, released July 20th, 2018.
speaks in all lower case but with no punctuation except apostrophes / separates her sentences with slashes

  • Attention Whore: Implied with her bio saying she has "Self-promotion sickness." Very downplayed and justified by her appearance in Friendsim, though; she's a lowblood and highbloods are likely to get more attention than her, and indeed, in her route, a music group of higher-blood trolls steals her gig and one of her songs.
  • Berserk Button: Being kicked out of a concert in favour of a more popular band is already upsetting, but stealing her songs makes her extremely angry.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's rather friendly, but you don't want to make her angry, especially not by stealing her songs.
  • Idol Singer: She's cute and likes to sing a lot, even being well known, though she doesn't have a lot of followers online.
  • La Résistance: In Act 2, it's revealed that she has continued doing protest raps under an alter ego known as "The Mask", and that she knows about Dammek and his rebellion plans. She's planning on doing a protest at Jeevik Week, but she can be talked out of it in multiple ways.
  • Leitmotif: "it be like that sometimes" by James Roach. Her theme is a slower much more understated one, with a sad horn.
  • Messy Hair: Her whole outfit is a massive mess, but special mention goes to the hair.
  • Messy Male, Fancy Female: In terms of who she was revealed with, she inverts this with Zebruh.
  • Nice Girl: Somewhat enforced in that she has to play nice with the higher-blood trolls in charge of the clubs she sings at, since she's a lowblood and could easily lose chances to perform for no good reason at all. That said, she is genuinely polite, friendly, and kind to the Reader and appreciates their help, and even in her bad ending, is more upset with them (for justifiable reasons) than outright mean.
  • Pants-Free: She's not even wearing a skirt; it's just a really long hoodie. It's referred to as a "Sweater dress."
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: In one path of her Friendsim route, she wears a mask to stand up to the band who stole her song, yet the symbol on her outfit is still visible and no one seems to notice except a troll who may or may not be Dammek, depending on when Friendsim takes place.
  • Psychic Powers: Her official aspect is Mind, she also presumably has the animal communion powers that are common on brozebloods, though we have yet to see her use them.
  • Stepford Smiler: As a lowblood who not only faces the dangers of being culled, but also being hit on by many of her fans, her expression hardly matches her true feelings. In fact, most of her smiles are nervous-looking. The new Troll Call page even describes her as having a "Customer service smile."

    Cirava Hermod
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/23_cirava_hermod.png
Perceptive
A Gemrius who was revealed on 24th January, 2018, alongside Tagora. They appeared in the second volume of Friendsim alongside Amisia on April 27th, 2018.

talks with lazy grammar and doesn't use capitalization or punctuation excluding for emphasis
sometimes ends sentences with lmao

  • Ambiguously Absent Parent: A wasp nest is shown to be hanging on the ceiling of their hive, thus implying that their lusus is a wasp. However, said wasp lusus is nowhere to be seen and Cirava never mentions them. Whether or not they're dead or simply elsewhere isn't specified.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Is referred to as "they" in their profile. Word of God confirmed them to be non-binary like Charun.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Despite Cirava's mellow demeanor, the betrayal they felt from their friends trying to turn them in as a battery still affects them greatly, and any behaviour that reminds them of that event causes them to suddenly turn on you.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Their official aspect is Hope.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Inverted. It was revealed in Friendsim that their missing eye was the result of a deliberate attempt to remove their psychic powers.
  • Eye Scream: They wear an eyepatch that doesn't quite hide the visible veins around the eye that's covered. Also, their description says "They shouldn't be alive," implying that whatever it was that happened to their eye may have almost killed them. Their Friendsim route reveals that they gouged their own eye out after being maliciously reported by their friends as a high-level psiionic in order to avoid being captured by drones.
    • Xefros mentions in Act 2 that they livestreamed themselves gouging out their own eye.
  • False Friend: Has had many of these during their lifetime, and they even tried to hand Cirava over to the empress to be used as a battery. Explains why they're such a jerk at times.
  • Foil: To Kuprum, who actually wants to be used to power things while Cirava doesn't. Both also have the aspect of Hope, but their lunar sway is Derse while his is Prospit.
  • Jade-Colored Glasses: After going through many fradulent friends, having said "friends" try to turn them in because they could be used as a battery, and as a result gouging their own eye out, Cirava has become quite jaded towards the world.
  • Jerkass: If MSPA Reader inadvertently becomes more popular than Cirava, the latter is overcome with jealousy and writes a callout post that causes the Reader to be Driven to Suicide.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: However, they're really only such an asshole because of how crappy Alternia is, and the fact that they've had dozens of False Friends throughout their lifetime. If you manage to get Cirava to warm up to you, then they'll turn out to be as lax and nice as they seem.
  • Leitmotif: "▯ ▯ ▯ ▯ ▯" by James Roach. A chill vaporwave track for a chill moisturewave troll.
  • Non-Human Non-Binary: Cirava is a non-binary troll.
  • Powered by a Forsaken Child: Cirava almost suffered this fate after their friends tried to turn them in to the Heiress because of their Psychic Powers.
  • Properly Paranoid: It’s reasonable that Cirava is skeptical of new friendships, given that they’ve been burned in the past by some former friends.
  • The Stoner: On April 20th, or 4/20, the second pair of trolls for "Friendsim" were announced, and the smoke coming from their silhouette implied that they are this trope. This was confirmed when the second volume of Friendsim came out, complete with their hive being littered with bongs and the fact that their best ending ends with you and Cirava vaping together.
  • Technicolor Eyes: One of their eyes is shown to purely be pastel green, somewhat similar to Sollux's unusual eyes.
  • Vaporwave: Seems to have a fondness for this aesthetic, and their design incorporates this as well.

    Folykl Darane and Kuprum Maxlol
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/11_folykl_darane.png
Sapient and Canny
Two eerie gold-blooded trolls who were revealed on December 13, 2017, and share a card. Folykl is a Gemittarius who rides around with Kuprum, while said backpacker is a Gemnius psionic. They appear in a shared route alongside Elwurd in Volume 6 of Friendsim, released June 22nd, 2018.

Both of them

  • Actually Four Mooks: Similar to the Soleil twins, these two ended up being two trolls sharing one card, with the odd "tools" poking out of the backpack actually being Folykl and her horns. This extends to Friendsim, where they share a route.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Shown in their Friendsim route after they are briefly separated by an attack from a drone. They're each relieved that the other is fine when they're reunited.
  • Casual Kink: Kuprum is obviously way too jazzed to be a living battery for his empress, but both of them seem to get off on their mutual power-drain dynamic. Make the wrong choices in their route and they tag-team you in the alley, him pouring his excess energy into you as she drains it out while kissing you.
  • The Dividual: The Syndividual. Folykl is "Voidrot", which means she always need energy — and Kuprum is her life support. They almost always together. Kuprum has more fun and optimistic personality, while Folykl is a more realistic troll. They're constantly making fun of and insulting each other, but still very good friends. In the game, they share the same route.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Folykyl and Kuprum are fond of pulling pranks on highbloods and make fun of the MSPA Reader, but they both keep them from trying to catch the bus (which will get them killed) and Kuprum (after a second of hesitation) levitates them as well when a drone shows up.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: They both like to insult people, make fun of them, and play tricks on them, but they still care about each other and can be friendly if the right choices are made on their Friendsim route.
  • Leitmotif: ">tfw another james roach track". A haunting chiptune piece for two creepy trolls.
  • "Uh-Oh" Eyes: Both Folykl and Kuprum have rather eerie eyes, with the former having no eyes at all, and the latter having one pure yellow eye and the other purple.
  • Troll: Kuprum is an internet troll who defends the empire and its practices online, and also likes to mess with others with his psychic powers for shits and giggles. Folykl often joins him by taunting his victim.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: They're constantly making fun of and insulting each other to the point where in Friendsim the MSPA Reader thinks they're in the black quadrant, but they say they are actually moirails. They certainly show care towards each other on one path of their route when a drone attacks and briefly separates them.

Folykl Darane

talks in lower case with no punctuation and separates parts of her speech with a random number of spaces

  • Anti-Magic: Appears to have this ability, considering the fact that she's presumably riding around with Kuprum to either drain him or act as a Power Limiter. Friendsim states that she has some kind of condition called "Voidrot" that some Goldbloods have, though it's unknown if she was born with it or not.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Folykl's a scary-looking troll who drains psychic power... and she doesn't know what a shower is.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: Subverted. The creators pretended that she had black eyes like Sollux's after he got blasted by Eridan, but she actually has no eyes at all.
  • The Cameo: She unexpectedly turns up in Marsti's route, sans Kuprum.
  • Can't Live Without You: She has to drain energy from other trolls to survive, mainly doing it to Kuprum as he's a psionic Goldblood whose energy is presumably renewable. However, she can spend some time without him, as demonstrated when she appears in Marsti's route and at the train station in Act 2.
  • Eyeless Face: She doesn't have black eyes, she has no eyes at all, just empty sockets.
  • Horror Hunger: Downplayed. She needs to drain energy from others to live, which can kill those who don't have psychic powers, but doesn't need to do it all the time and can spend some time separated from Kuprum without dying instantly, which she compares to a laptop not dying the moment it's unplugged.
  • The Pig-Pen: Her character description is "what's a shower". The MSPA Reader in Friendsim remarks that she smells just as bad as the surrounding garbage, if not worse. In Marsti's route, it's implied that she avoids showering because she mistakenly believes that being dirty would help insulate her. Marsti tells her that cleaning herself would actually make the energy transfer go easier.
  • Power Nullifier: She drains psychic power "like an app you forgot to close out." So far, the only troll in the entire Homestuck canon known to have this power. This is caused by a condition called Voidrot that some Goldbloods have.
  • Power of the Void: Her official aspect is Void.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: The way she spaces parts of her speech gives off this effect.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She's the only known female Goldblood so far (Not counting the cut beekeeper).
  • The Straight Man: She's somehow this towards her moirail Kuprum, taking note of his unhealthy admiration towards Trizza and how he watches too much Eastern Alternian pornography.

    Azdaja Knelax
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/33_azdaya_knelax_6.png
Pilot
The Gemra "PRINCE of ALL MUSTARDBLOODS" who was revealed on 28th February, 2018. He appears in the ninth volume of Friendsim, released August 3rd, 2018.
||| Speaks with proper grammar and punctuation, and surrounds his sentences with three vertical bars and a space. |||

  • Afraid of Blood: In Friendsim Volume 7, Konyyl says that he passed out the first time he saw her fighting, and there wasn't even that much blood. He seems to have gotten over it by now, though.
  • Anime Hair: He combines a mullet with an anime spike, forming a particularly ridiculous hairdo. The latter is particularly exaggerated in Friendsim, where his spike is elongated to the point where it just looks ridiculous.
  • Badass Longcoat: Wears a longcoat in his blood colour.
  • Battle Couple: Implied to be working with Konyyl, who's apparently in a quadrant with him. Friendsim states that they're matesprits.
  • Dramatic Wind: He uses his psychic powers to invoke this with his coat.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Gender-inverted, Konyyl does all the close range combat with her claws, while Azdaja uses his psionic beams from a distance.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Implied by the fact that he's a good listener despite being the self-proclaimed "Prince of all mustardbloods". In the good ending of his Friendsim route, he promises he will give you some of the prize money he receives for the two of you being the survivors of a Deadly Game.
  • La Résistance: Despite how horribly lowblood are treated, he feels no need to join a rebellion or root for the empire. He feels that as long as him and Konyyl are free to kill as they please there's no reason for either of them to get involved one way or the other. Though he does lament that being sent off planet means he can't do what he wants.
  • Leitmotif: "DaJam" by Alexander Rosetti. It's a chiptune theme inspired by the Megaman soundtrack.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He's one of the prettier male trolls introduced, and has some fairly long hair to show for it.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: The feminine boy to Konyyl's masculine girl. It helps that he has a relationship with her.
  • Mind over Matter: Like other psionic Goldbloods, he can use his psychic powers to move things.
  • Mistaken for Romance: A blackrom version is implied to happen on the bad path of his Friendsim route if the MSPA Reader refuses to take part in a Deadly Game with him.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: The Aždaja of mythology is specifically an evil dragon. Kasdeya was the demon of fear.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: There's quite a few traits separating Azdaja from the other Goldbloods.
    • It's hard to tell, but he only has 3 horns compared to the 4 horns that Goldbloods normally have. Whether he once had 4 horns but lost one of them is unknown, since the area where his 4th horn should be is hidden by his hair.
    • Another trait differentiating him from the other Goldbloods is that he doesn’t have his teeth poking out of his mouth. However, this may be to make him more of a bishie.
    • Among the known psionic trolls, his eyes are the only ones to not follow the hot/cool coloring convention, as both of his eyes are cold bluesnote . However, other psionics seen in the background in Act 2 have similar colored eyes (and some of them even have two eyes of the same color).
  • Official Couple: With Konyyl. They seem to flip which quadrant it's in, though.
  • Professional Killer: The fifth volume of Friendsim implies that this is his job, before it was confirmed in the seventh volume. Although he may not have done as much direct killing as his partner Konyyl, instead being a strategist for her. Not that that stops him from taking part in a Deadly Game, or trying to attack the MSPA Reader if they refuse to help him.
  • Psychic Powers: His official aspect is Mind, he is also a powerful psionic.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: In contrast to Konyyl's aggressive personality and tendency to act without a plan, he is much calmer in comparison, unless he's caught off guard.
  • Technicolor Eyes: Similar to the Captors, Kuprum, and Cirava before him, his eyes are solid shades of blue.
  • Worthy Opponent: Considers Xefros this when he defeats Azdaja in a psychic duel.

    Zebede Tongva
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/01_zebede_tongva.png
Concise
A Gempio beekeeper. Revealed on November 11, 2017, the first, non-scheduled feature of the Troll Call. He appears on Volume 10 of Friendsim, released August 17th, 2018, but was ultimately cut from Act 2 of Hiveswap.

talkz with no punctuation or capitalization, and replacez the sz at the end of wordz with zz

  • The Aloner: He lives far away to look after bees, but feels lonely and wishes someone would visit.
  • Animal Motifs: Bees. Not only is he an aspiring beekeeper, his outfit and horns give him the appearance of one.
  • Bee-Bee Gun: Happens in his Friendsim route, he gets the bees to attack a troll whose car the MSPA Reader stole to visit him.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He is very friendly and gets excited a lot, but also has no problem with getting his bees to attack any threatening trolls.
  • Closet Geek: He gets excited at the thought of having someone visit him, and is also a bit embarrassed about his interests.
  • Fan Boy: Of Cirava Hermod and "Hatched 2 Dance", the same group that Vikare was stated to be a fan of. It's implied he has a crush on Cirava.
  • Fluffy Tamer: While it's unknown exactly how dangerous Alternian bees are, he gets them to attack a troll whose car the MSPA Reader stole in his Friendsim route, saying that he asked them nicely.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: He lives in a remote area where no one visits, leaving him feeling lonely with no company except his bees and lusus.
  • Keet: He gets really excited over the thought of having friends, and often sports a huge smile.
  • Leitmotif: "beekeeper who? i don't even know her." by James Roach. A song originally written for a goldblood girl who Zebede eventually replaced.
  • Light 'em Up: His official aspect is Light.
  • No Social Skills: To be expected from someone who lives in a remote area with little outside interaction.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: He's the only known Goldblood so far (not counting the cut beekeeper) who has normal troll eyes. note  It's implied he doesn't have the psionic powers that Goldbloods with Technicolour Eyes have, but he may or may not have other psychic powers that allow him to communicate with the bees.
  • Pest Controller: It's unknown if he has psychic abilities of any kind, but it's possible that he might have used them to get the bees to attack someone.
  • The Unreveal: His lusus is alive but it not seen during the visit to his hive, so it's unknown if it's a bee or another kind of creature. Act 2 reveals it is a bee creature of some kind.
  • Wingding Eyes: Sometimes shows diamonds in his eyes when he's excited.

Click here to see her without her bandages
A Leus mercenary who was revealed on December 27th 2017, along with Tegiri. She is the true identity of the mysterious Goldblood seen in the fifth volume of Friendsim, released June 6th, 2018.
speaks with no capitalization * or punctuation *|
puts an asterisk * after every few words * and ends her sentences * with a vertical bar *|

  • Action Survivor: Her leaked codename “Survivor” and her bandages imply she falls into this.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Friendsim shows her to be quite muscular, but she's still quite the beautiful troll.
  • Bandaged Face: Has this in her standard sprite. Averted in Friendsim, where her only bandages are on her arms.
  • Blow You Away: Her official aspect is Breath.
  • Blush Sticker: Sports these in her good ending.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She starts off as rather standoffish towards the MSPA Reader (probably due to the high bounty on her head), but steadily warms up to you if you make the correct choices.
  • Ear Notch: Actually a horn notch, but it has the same implications.
  • Femme Fatalons: Her nails are so long that she has to type with her knuckles.
  • Foregone Conclusion: She dresses as a Goldblood in order to conceal her identity, as she killed a seadweller, which is said to be the worst Alternian crime of all. Given that she had bandages when she was revealed, it can be assumed that the authorities at least managed to give her a beating over the crime.
  • Hidden Depths: Who'd have guessed a menacing-looking mercenary-for-hire like her gave excellent relationship advice?
  • Holding Hands: She uses the MSPA Reader as cover.
  • In the Hood: When disguised as a Goldblood.
  • Leitmotif: "Coursing" by Alexander Rosetti. Polypa shares this theme with Gcat and Becquerel. A mysterious melody with high points of climax and a thrilling atmosphere.
  • Man on Fire: Played with. Although her description states "Can't catch her if she's on fire" a footnote clarifies the bandages are not related to fire, so it's unclear whether it's meant metaphorically or literally. The phrase is potentially a reference to The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, where Daniel McNinja says "Ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire".
  • My Parents Are Dead: She says that before she became an assassin, some trolls attacked her in her hive and killed her lusus.
  • Not So Above It All: She's usually a serious assassin, but seems to enjoy watching romance movies and anime. She also used to give relationship advice online.
  • Professional Killer: Her main occupation.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Her bio mentions that you "Can't catch her if she's on fire", which then has a footnote saying that her bandages are unrelated to fire.
  • The Unreveal: She says that her lusus was killed, but doesn't mention what kind of creature it was.
  • Took a Level in Badass: She started out running a relationship advice blog. Look how far she's come.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's pretty much impossible to talk about her character without spoiling much of the Friendsim.
  • When She Smiles: She shows you more and more small smiles as she warms up to you.

Synthesizer

A Lepia duelist who was revealed along with Azdaja. She appears alongside Remele in the seventh volume of Friendsim, released July 6th, 2018.
speaks in all lower case but occasionally capitalizes the last word or phrase FOR EMPHASIS

  • Armed Legs: Her shoes have the same spikes as her gloves, and one of them is broken, implying they have been used a lot.
  • Ax-Crazy: Graphic violence is apparently her passion. One path of her Friendsim route shows her killing trolls effortlessly, getting blood all over the place as she does so.
  • Battle Couple: Not only is it heavily implied that she's in some sort of quadrant with Azdaja, it's also implied that she's also a mercenary. According to Friendsim, they're matesprits, although they have disagreements about their work.
  • Eye Scream: If you look very closely, her right eye is not only covered by her hair, but also with what appears to be bandages. Averted in Friendsim, where her hidden eye can be seen in a few of her sprites, and looks undamaged.
  • Femme Fatalons: Wears these on her hands. She also has similar-looking claws on her shoes.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Gender-inverted, Konyyl does all the close range combat with her claws, while Azdaja uses his psionic beams from a distance.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She tends to get annoyed quite easily, as the conversation with the Reader and Skylla causes her to become agitated and take out her frustration on a nearby bush.
  • Hiding the Handicap: Her injured right eye is covered.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sure, she revels in gore, but she'll happily let you cry on her broad shoulder.
  • Leitmotif: "Olive Scribe" by Magnum (Charred Asperity). Konyyl shares her theme with the Disciple note . It's a moody track with a mysterious vocal, powerful strings, and a prominent percussion.
  • Light 'em Up: Her official aspect is Light.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Forms this duo with Azdaja, her matesprit.
  • Oh, Crap!: The adult troll you see at the smuggler's hide out immediately causes her to have a mix of concern and fear.
  • Official Couple: With Azdaja; they were introduced with each other and later confirmed to be matesprits.
  • Professional Killer: Friendsim states that she's a merc who competes with Polypa for jobs. Her route involves Skylla sending her after the lusus thieves from Volume 3.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The fiery, bold red to Azdaja's blue. She is also this to Polypa, who makes her killings more discreet.
  • Ship Tease: Her attitude towards Skylla shows hints of a possible black crush.

    Boldir Lamati
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/22_boldir_lamati.png
Steadfast
A Lelo who was revealed along with Vikare. She has a route in Friendsim's thirteenth volume, which was released on September 28th, 2018.
(puts her sentences in brackets and uses no capitalization.)
(ends her questions with three question marks.)

  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Not Boldir herself, but her sign, which resembles a question mark, suiting how mysterious she is.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: In Hiveswap, she makes multiple cryptic comments about the shifting of paradox space, void, "the paths intertwining"...and that her fellow passengers are loud.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Her eyebrows are noticeably thicker than the other Troll Call characters.
  • Conspicuous Trenchcoat: A conspiracy theorist with a metallic trenchcoat. Apparently, her secrets are bigger than her coat, so there's that. She's also stated to keep weapons in it.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: An uncommon female example. She's out to expose the "deep-state lunacracy," and her hat is lined with foil that she believes will protect her from "celestial influences." Basically, she's convinced there's some force on the moon that secretly controls troll society... which, as we know from Homestuck, is 100% true.
  • I Never Told You My Name: If Joey takes the lead in talking to her, Boldir will mention her surname...which Joey never gave her.
  • Leitmotif: "Old Secret" by James Roach. It's a spooky melody full of mystery and an air of loss, originally meant to be for when a character realizes the severity of their actions.
  • Mistaken for Spies: Unavoidable. When the confused protagonists ask Boldir who she thinks their boss is, she interprets it as them wanting to keep their cover in case anybody is eavesdropping.
  • Noticing the Fourth Wall: Her Idle Animation in Act 2 has her panicking after she accidentally looks directly at the player.
  • Secret-Keeper: She apparently has a lot of big secrets. So much that there are people trying to kill her.
  • Soul Power: Her official aspect is Heart, and a now deleted tweet by the writer of her Friendsim route indicates she may be a Seer of Heart.
  • Toothy Issue: Unlike most trolls, she has a single large and prominent buck tooth.
  • Tinfoil Hat: Her bio says that her hat is foil-lined.
  • Walking Armory: Apparently her coat is filled with weapons.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: She seems to believe that any choices people make were ones they were going to make anyway, and no one can avoid what will inevitably happen. Knowing how things are in Homestuck with the past and future, she's not entirely wrong.

    Charun Krojib
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/13_charun_krojib.png
Paradox
A Leiborn “lost and found artist”. Revealed together with Amisia on December 20th, 2017. They appear with Wanshi in Friendsim's 15th volume, released October 26th, 2018, but was ultimately cut from Act 2 of Hiveswap.

..talks with no capitalization or punctuation apart from two periods that often appear at the beginning and end of their sentences..

  • Ambiguous Gender: Looks relatively androgynous, and is referred to with gender-neutral pronouns. Word of God has said that this was intentional, and they are non-binary/agender.
  • Eccentric Artist: They make art from random objects that they find, but don't seem to have a particular idea in mind and just makes things up as they go along.
  • Erudite Stoner: Has this look down, and what else can you say about someone who eats worms fresh from their cave? Or maybe the worms cause their consumer to become this?
  • Leitmotif: "Charun's Cave" by Toby Fox. A relaxed minimalist piece appropriate for a literal down-to-earth and overall chill troll.
  • Non-Human Non-Binary: Charun is a non-binary troll.
  • The Power of Hate: Their official aspect is Rage.
  • Visible Silence: Does this a lot, but uses two periods instead of three.

Adaptable
Click here to see her leaked image.
A Virus president of a "grubsitting" club who was revealed along with Wanshi. She appears alongside Skylla in Volume 3 of Friendsim, released May 11th, 2018.

1. Speaks with proper grammar and capitalization.
2. Is fond of making numbered lists.
3. vV Surrounds sentences with "vV Vv" for emphasis! Vv

  • All-Loving Hero: She doesn't play favorites with her coworkers, whatever awful things they do.
Bronya: Lanque. Daraya. Don't gang up on [Lynera].
Daraya: Why the fuck not? She's trying to get you to gang up on me!
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Presumably the only thing that could get a group as dysfunctional as Bronya's jades to accomplish anything.
  • Berserk Button: She takes it poorly when people mess with her charges, the lusii, and/or the Mother Grub. Both her bad endings in Friendsim involve ticking her off by murdering defenseless grubs, directly or otherwise.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite being one of the nicest trolls introduced, she's be perfectly willing to throw you out of a window and break your bones.
  • Blow You Away: She's a potential hero of Breath.
  • Character Tics: Bronya clasps her hands together whenever she is cheerfully saying something for emphasis.
  • Class Representative: Bronya's demeanor evokes a Japanese Class Representative with her leadership position and her sense of duty to her "Jades." In addition to that, their communal hive even evokes a boarding school.
  • Condescending Compassion: A downplayed example. She doesn't hate the other jadebloods, but she doesn't acknowledge their competency as much as she should. Her Friendsim route involves showing her that she doesn't have to shepherd them all the time.
  • Happiness Is Mandatory: She forces her peers to stay close to each other and sing songs, possibly in the hope that it will make them stop fighting. It does the opposite, making them feel infantilized and rebellious. (However, when the jades do start expressing their negative feelings, it draws attention from the upper castes and endangers them.)
  • Hypocritical Humor: She says that the brooding caves have no hierarchy... but immediately after she demands that you do as she says. She does have good intentions, though, given that if you don't follow her instructions you can potentially doom much of trollkind by killing a bunch of grubs and lusii.
    • She shows a bit of hypocisy in Lanque's route (The NSFW version) too, where she doesn't want him to get romantically involved with anyone who could be a bad influence, yet she previously had a relationship with Elwurd, who Lanque bought drugs from earlier.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite her insistence on duty and caste identity, her Breath aspect implies that deep within she has the capacity to be free of all those things.
  • La Résistance: Defied, but double subverted and downplayed. Bronya, along with her fellow Jadebloods, are the middle of the middle class. While they do get to enjoy the privileges of their place in the caste, Bronya also knows that rebelling against the hemospectrum would doom all her friends to culling. Despite this, Bronya and her group still takes care of weak and injured wigglers thus breaking Alternian tradition.
    "1. We are NOT Revolutionaries."
  • Leitmotif: "Phantasmagoric Waltz" by Alexander Rosetti. Bronya's theme is a sweeping symphony proper as the introduction of the jadeblood caste.
  • Mama Bear: Takes her caretaking job seriously, as Berserk Button above explains.
  • Moment of Weakness: Pushed to her limit during the Hiveswap trial, she accuses someone who is obviously innocent, just so nobody she knows will have to die.
  • My Greatest Failure: Several sweeps ago, she was unable to stop a delusional friend of hers from committing suicide by proxy.
  • Nice Girl: As long as you don't hurt any grubs, she's quite friendly and cordial towards you. She even willingly breaks Alternian tradition by taking care of sickly grubs instead of leaving them out to die.
  • Not Good with Rejection: While we don't know which one decided to break up, she doesn't seem to have taken her breakup with Elwurd well. While she doesn't actively go out of her way to make her life harder, her attempts to reconnect with her definitely come off as desperate.
  • Perky Goth: Has some gothic elements in her design, and she's rather cheerful and friendly.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: She keeps claiming that there is nothing suspicious going on and there's nothing to hide, whilst looking nervous, because she doesn't want to get in trouble for helping the baby trolls more than she should.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: When Lynera- who is guilty as sin, even if not for the specific crime she's been accused of- begs for mercy, a thoroughly exhausted Bronya replies: "I...I...I can't help you anymore, Lynera. I'm sorry."
  • Visual Pun: Her sign is called "Virus" and it resembles, well, a virus.

    Lynera Skalbi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/18_lynera_skalbi.png
Stringent
A Viriborn scholar. Revealed together with Tirona. She appears in volume 11 of Friendsim, released August 31, 2018.
-starts her sentences with a dash and rarely uses capitalization or punctuation except for exclamation marks and sometimes emphasises her words by surrounding them with !!!three exclamation marks!!!

  • Asshole Victim: If she gets convicted at the trial, her "friends" are generally not sad to see her go. Bronya, while not very happy about it, points out that Lynera did try to get Daraya killed.
  • Beta Bitch: She acts like a jerk to just about everyone she meets, is very defensive about her friendship with Bronya, and tends to threaten people with violence. While her exact level of popularity is unknown, she claims to be Bronya's second-in-command of the Jadeblood colony, which means she is well known in that particular cavern.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She's not bad at her job per se, only the part of it that involves teamwork. Much of her studying seems aimed at making her a perfect custodian and subordinate.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Her obsession with Bronya makes her violent and threatening towards anyone who wants anything to do with her.
  • Control Freak: She wants perfect order from everyone in the cloister- supposedly so Bronya won't have to work as hard, but really because she hates them and can't abide them being free enough to tell her what they think of her. Notably, the first troll she tries to off is Daraya, the most noncomforming.
  • Cute and Psycho: Despite having the appearance of a sweetheart student, she is anything but, as she regularly threatens the MSPA Reader with knives and acts like a Yandere towards Bronya.
  • Death by Irony: She's the one who starts all the drama in the jade/teal car by loudly accusing Daraya of theft and demanding she be punished. This all kick-starts a trial which can lead to Lynera herself being executed.
  • Femme Fatalons: She has noticeably pointy nails.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Act 2 makes it clear that Bronya is the only one in their cloister who seems to tolerate her, and even then, she's not too broken up about Lynera being dragged off to the purple-blood car, hoping that things will become more peaceful. If Lynera makes it to the end of the trial, she'll complain about it, only for Daraya and Lanque to point out that she already knows the others hate her, considering that she complains about being this trope all the time.
  • Hopeless Suitor: She knows Bronya doesn't return her feelings. The MSPA Reader suggests that even though that's true, admitting them might make her feel better.
  • Idle Animation: In Hiveswap, she vacillates between glaring at Daraya and gazing at Bronya.
  • Insufferable Genius: Apparently appointed herself to the honor roll, and spends a lot of time studying. She also dresses smartly, as if she's wearing a school uniform, and seems to take her Jadeblood duties seriously, though she uses it as an excuse for not wanting anyone else to be involved with Bronya.
  • Iron Maiden: She keeps one in her Study Cave. It's bleeding out jade-colored blood.
  • Killed Offscreen: Quite possibly. If she is accused of stealing the book, she'll be taken away to the purpleblood car. By the time you get to that car yourself, she's nowhere to be seen.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: About her relationship with Bronya. She claims that she is Bronya's best friend and threatens anyone who also wants to be friends with her, and acts as if she knows what's best for her instead of thinking about what Bronya herself wants.
  • Leitmotif: "Frostbite" by Toby Fox. Lynera shares this theme with Echidna. It is a coldblooded melody full of synths, appropriate for a Jadeblood girl who defends those she loves.
  • Loners Are Freaks: She is hated by all her cloistermates (except Bronya) for damn good reasons, not least the fact that she proclaims her desire to be the "whip" keeping them in line.
  • Loving a Shadow: It's unclear whether she actually likes Bronya or just latched onto the only person who was willing to tolerate her.
  • Moral Myopia: Although she was on the verge of murdering the MSPA Reader, she's horrified when the knife almost goes in accidentally, and frees them not long afterwards.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Lynera's logical conclusion when the MSPA Reader chooses to make wild claims about their friendship with Bronya, specifically when the MSPA Reader claims to be getting red with her, is to try and kill them.
    "-oh no"
  • Number Two: Allegedly this to Bronya in the Jadeblood hierarchy.
  • The Power of Hate: Her official aspect is Rage.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: Her route has a meter with the levels represented by knives that changes depending on her mood. She also threatens the MSPA Reader with a knife a few times. If it's up to 5 knives, you should be worried.
  • Scary Shiny Glasses: At one point, if you've really made her unhappy, one of the lenses of her glasses turns white.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: An honor roll student who wears prominent purple glasses.
  • Stalker with a Crush: To Bronya. She looks through her phone and even has a Stalker Shrine with pictures of her everywhere.
  • Tragic Villain: She exhibits many signs of insanity: rapid switching between anger and regret, impulsive acts of violence, and a self-admitted lack of fufillment or happiness in her life.
You [the Reader] don't feel guilty for doing what you had to do to escape unharmed, but you can't help but wish that you had been able to actually help her.
  • Yandere: She's like this about Bronya- not to her face, but rather to those who want to spend time with her. She can also be like this about the MSPA Reader in the good end of her Friendsim route.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: She is one of few cloistered Jades who actually likes her job (if not her coworkers), and seems pretty good at it, if Bronya's good ending is any indication.

    Wanshi Adyata
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/29_wanshi_adyata.png
Inexhaustable
Click here to see her leaked image.
A Virmino bookworm who was revealed on 14th February 2018. She appears with Charun in Voume 15 of Friendsim, released October 26th, 2018.

[]capitalizes her W's and surrounds her text With tWo square brackets facing each other.[]
[]talks with proper punctuation, and often uses oWo and uWu emoticons.[]

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: In Act 2, if you manage to get the best ending, it will be revealed that Wanshi is the one responsible for editing Lynera's diary to make it look like she hates Daraya more than she actually does, giving her a motive for stealing the book. She defends herself by saying that Lynera was that difficult to live with. If you get the standard ending, she'll happily wave Lynera goodbye as she is convicted and taken away by Marvus to be killed.
  • Bookworm: Her leaked codename was "Book Girl" and her description says she's active in the Soldier Purrbeasts fandom. She's also referred to as a "tomewriggler," which is most likely a troll's way of saying bookworm. Her Friendsim route begins with her curled up in a library shelf reading Scribblejournal of a Cullable Wiggler.
  • Break the Cutie: Happens on the bad path of her Friendsim route. First, she sees a dead body for the first time. Then, after arriving at the convention, an escaped cholerbear shows up with blood all over it, and the MSPA Reader kills it, only for it to fall on them and kill them too while Wanshi looks on in horror.
  • Fangirl: Of "Soldier Purrbeasts".
  • Free-Range Children: Averted. Even though other trolls who are younger than her are seen out by themselves, Wanshi has to stay in the Caverns until she's older because she's a Jadeblood and must be taught her duties. She has to sneak out to experience life outside the caverns.
  • Leitmotif: "idk man you name it im tired" by James Roach. It is a somber piece, that reflects the loss of innocence at the hands of not one single person but the society one grows up with.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite her youthful appearance which comes from looking short and chubby with a round face (Especially in her Friendsim sprite), she's actually five and a half sweeps, which is the troll equivalent of about twelve years old and not too much younger than Homestuck trolls when they are introduced (And only a few of those get to age anyway).
  • The Runaway: Downplayed in her Friendsim route, where she sneaks out of the caverns because she was bored and wanted a chance to experience life outside, and also wanted to visit a convention, but shows no signs of never returning there.
  • Dreadlock Rasta: Unlike the other trolls revealed so far, she has dreads.
  • The Smart Guy: She knows it. All of it. She also has a few moments of maturity, such as in one path of her route when she sees a dead body for the first time, and the other path when she gets annoyed at the MSPA Reader for lying to her about taking her to the convention when really they were taking her home, but understands why they would do that even if it is upsetting.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Her official aspect is Doom.

    Daraya Jonjet
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/04_daraya_jonjet.png
Fierce
A Virnius who's "been in detention her whole life". Revealed together with Mallek. She appears with Nihkee in Friendsim's 17th volume, released November 30, 2018.

▲ speaks in lower case except for referring to herself as "I" and surrounds her sentences with triangles that point up and down, sometimes using more than one ▼
▼ the directions the triangles point change depending on her mood▲

    Lanque Bombyx
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/37_lanque_bombyx_1.png
Alchemist
A Virsci who was revealed on 3/14/18 as part of the final Troll Call. He and the Soleil Twins are also the last in the Troll Call to be featured a Friendsim volume, released December 14th, 2018.
Talks With proper capitalization and punctuation and captializes his W's and V's.

  • Blog: Apparently still uses "LiveChurnal".
  • His Name Really Is "Barkeep": His leaked card gave him the codename of "Lanque". To the astonishment of many fans, that actually turned out to be his real first name.
  • Karma Houdini: In Act 2, he was actually the one who stole the book. However, accusing him will lead to a Game Over where he has Joey talk to him about it in private before throwing her off the train; the game can only be continued either if Lynera gets the blame, or if there's a mistrial, so he never gets found out.
  • Leitmotif: Two by James Roach. His NSFW route has "yall know i just do the music right" to represent the more mature theme, while his SFW route has "VALID END", to represent the light-hearted theme.
  • Life Energy: His official aspect is Life.
  • Immortality Seeker: Apparently craves living forever.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: He's the only known Jadeblood to have symmetrical horns. His pants and shoes also look more realistic compared to those of the other Hiveswap trolls, and his Friendsim sprite has visible ears, something he only shares with Mallek.
    • However, the trial segment in Act 2 involves an Art Shift that shows all the involved trolls with visible ears.
  • Not So Above It All: Wanshi's route implies that, although he may try to hide it, he shares an interest in the "Soldier Purrbeasts" books with her.
  • The One Guy: Of all known Jadebloods. Word of God says he's transgender.
  • Samus Is a Girl: Inverted, fans assumed he was female due to being a Jadeblood and wearing makeup, but then his official release had him referred to with male pronouns.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Arguably the snazziest of the midbloods.

Tealbloods

    Tagora Gorjek
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/24_tagora_gorjek.png
Dogged
A Liga who was revealed with Cirava. He appears in Volume 4 of Friendsim alongside Vikare, released 25th May, 2018.
Speaks with flawless grammar and capitalization.
Ends his commands with a blank signature. Understand?

* _____

  • Ambiguously Jewish: Almost literally every aspect of Tagora is a Jewish stereotype (he literally makes the "Happy Merchant" pose at one point), but what makes it ambiguous is that Alternia doesn't have Judaism.
  • Ambulance Chaser: He'll charge you for almost everything when acting as your lawyer.
  • Amoral Attorney: Friendsim has him become your lawyer, and given that this is Alternia... you can see where this is going.
  • Anime Hair: A mullet, a topknot, and long bangs all at once. Apparently it's heavily "product-infused"; really, it would have to be to stay that shape.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Gor-Gor. He seems to be unaware of how dumb it is, as he gave it to himself.
  • Emo Teen: Aside from his appearance, he's described as an "antisocial climber", implying that he goes to great lengths in order to avoid social interaction.
  • Evil Eyebrows: Sports quite a pronounced pair.
  • The Gadfly: If Joey shows him the pile of odious garbage that Marsti gives her to have Remele turn it into "art", he drops his Ambulance Chaser tendencies and makes a blog post calling the pile of odious garbage "fine art", just because he knows that Galekh will read it and pretend to agree with it.
  • In-Series Nickname: His profile says to "Call him Gor-Gor". Friendsim reveals that he gave it to himself. Also, Tyzias calls him "Sore-Gor."
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Well, in Friendsim anyway. The MSPA Reader seems to have stayed in contact with him, and one of the bad endings in Tirona's route implies that he values their friendship and thinks he's been betrayed if they decide to break into his office. The volume after that also states that he got the Reader a coffee machine that he apparently said was an old one he no longer used, but it still has the price tag, implying he might have bought it for them instead.
  • Leitmotif: "Call Me Gor Gor" by James Roach. A smooth bass track with a faint harpsichord in the background.
  • No Social Skills: While he tries to put on a sleek, calm demeanor, he's shown to break down when things don't go as planned, such as when he drops his business card or during the encounter with his (implied) Blueblood kismesis.
  • Only in It for the Money: Pretty much the only reason that he's a lawyer is so he can overcharge his clients. In fact, the only way you can continue on with his route is by pretending you're loaded with cash.
  • Smug Snake: Quite so, as he swindles you into having an enormous debt and can possibly sic some imperial drones on you.
  • Space Master: A potential hero of space.
  • The Swear Jar: He gives you rebates for his "services" when he swears, and it's labelled as such.
  • Toilet Humor: His alibi during the trial? A lengthy CCTV video of him destroying the bathroom at the time.
  • The Trickster: Implied by Poinko, the artist who designed him, in this post. Friendsim has him trick you into swamping yourself in debt.
if he offers you a snack, politely decline, even if you havent eaten in a while
  • Was It All a Lie?: Happens in Tirona's Friendsim route if you decide to look in his office. He'll video call you, then realise you're in his office, at which point he'll think you were just trying to use him instead of truly being his friend, and leaves you with a huge debt.
  • Wicked Weasel: His lusus is a ferret, and Gor-Gor is a sketchy faux attorney. It is surprisingly fitting, since the core word 'ferret' is derived from means 'little thief'.
  • When He Smiles: At the end of Friendsim, instead of giving you his usual, hyena-like grin, he flashes you a genuine smile due to his gratitude for you saving him from an awkward social situation.

    Tyzias Entykk
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/02_tyzias_entykk.png
Charmer
A Licer lawyer. Revealed together with Zebede. She appears alongside Chixie in Volume 8 of Friendsim, released July 20th, 2018.

speaks in all lowwwwer case except for referring to herself as "I" and mmmmultiplies her mmmm's and wwww's by four
occasionally uses single m's and w's

  • Affectionate Nickname: Her matesprit Stelsa calls her "Zizi."
  • The Alcoholic: Seems to be this, between the "not coffee" in her mug and the way she seems to slur her M's and W's. It's water. She plays up this trope so people will attribute her bad attitude to booze and not realize how fed-up and borderline revolutionary she's become.
  • Badass Boast: Stelsa suggests that she investigate the jadebloods as a way of practicing for "the cruelest bar" (the troll version of a bar exam, which students are poisoned at the outset of and only given the antidote if they finish). Tyzias snarks that her not falling for such an obvious persuasion attempt shows she doesn't need to practice.
  • Being Evil Sucks: While not really as evil as some of the other trolls we've seen, her job involves a lot of injustice, which she hates but has to comply with or else she'll be culled.
  • Casual Kink: Implied. If you try to finger her matesprit Stelsa as a suspect during the trial, she comments that if Stelsa were guilty, she'd be "punished... privately." Stelsa doesn't deny it, but acts mortified that Tyzias is discussing it with a stranger in public.
  • Covert Pervert: If you raid her office, Tirona complains that her desktop is full of nothing but schoolwork, court briefs, and nudes. Whether they're her own or someone else's is not elaborated.
  • Exhausted Eyebags: To be expected from someone who doesn't get enough sleep.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Seems mostly tired and apathetic on first glance, but it doesn't take too much for her to start opening up about how miserable she is about the rampant injustice in the Alternian legal system, despite being in a position of relative safety due to her blood colour. She's willing to stick her own neck on the line to try and change it.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: She believes that putting on a show for the highbloods is important enough to justify murdering Lynera by proxy (although she doesn't enjoy the crime itself), and further rationalizes it by saying Lynera's peers are better off without her. If the trial ends bloodlessly, Tyzias will be disappointed, seeing it as a setback in her grand plan.
  • Internal Reformist: She hopes that her studies of the Signless and the Summoner will help towards gradually bringing more and more justice to the law, and possibly Alternian society in general.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: She studies previous rebellions against the Empire in the hopes that she can gradually change the way Alternia's laws work, even though she knows it might not have much of an impact and could get her into a lot of trouble. She does it because it's still something.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Her default expression is pretty gloomy, given how she's always exhausted and also extremely disillusioned by the current state of Alternian society.
  • La Résistance: Her "controversial theories" relate to her secret study of the rebellions of the Signless and Summoner. She even openly talks about "defense legislacerators" - bear in mind that according to Homestuck, the word "defense" is considered offensive in Alternian law.
  • Leitmotif: "Single Female Lawyer/Seer of Same-Color Scalemate Combos" by Alexander Rosetti. A very busy and fast-paced melody with the signature tealblood harpsichord, kept in time by a consistent metronome.
  • Moment of Weakness: Tyzias' Friendsim route takes place on a night she was unusually tired and disheartened. In her Hiveswap appearance, she is considerably more driven and manipulative.
  • Noodle Incident: If Joey talks to her after failing to persuade Elwurd, she will say that she doesn't know much about flirting, despite being in a red relationship: "me and Stels were kind of an accident".
  • Odd Friendship: She has discussed her legal theories with Marvus, whose castemates would cull her if they knew.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: If you pick the wrong culprit at the trial, she'll admit that she knew who was guilty all along but said nothing. While Joey calls her out on the blatant injustice, she does so from the perspective of a child raised in a human society; Tyzias agrees she has a point but reasons that if she's ever going to reform Alternian law, she has to sell the concept of a fair trial, and to do that her trial needs a satisfying ending. She describes her actions as planting the seed that could one day blossom into the justice system Joey expects.
  • The Power of Blood: A potential hero of blood, who values harmony above all else.
  • The Sleepless: She "sleeps once a week", staying up to study law, which is probably responsible for her eye bags and her quirk which brings to mind slurring speech.
  • Uncoffee: The only comment on the cup Tyzias is holding is "that's not coffee". In Volume Three of Friendsim, it is revealed that coffee is also called coffee by trolls, so one has to assume it to be something else. It's just water.
  • The Unsmile: The few times her sprite has anything resembling a smile, it comes off as more of a grimace due to her overall dour demeanour.
  • What You Are in the Dark: As a Tealblood, her middle caste status guarantees her a relative amount of safety and power within Alternian society, enough for her to live comfortably without fear of being culled so long as she performs her duties as expected. She chooses instead to try and reform the system from the inside, despite the very real risk of being killed for it.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: Tyzias had no idea a theft would be committed on the train car she was in, but she's good at taking opportunities to instil her ideals in others. Partly justified in that, well, this is Alternia; crime is everywhere.

    Tegiri Kalbur
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/16_tegiri_kalbur.png
Hidden
A Libittarius who was revealed with Polypa. He appears on Volume 10 of Friendsim, released August 17th, 2018.
Speaks with capita/ization and punctuation, and rep/aces his L's with forward s/ashes. A/so sometimes rep/aces certain words with their Eastern A/ternian equiva/ents.

  • Animal Motifs: Shiba Inus, by virtue of his lusus.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: In-Universe. As a Shout-Out to an actual one involving a Death Note fan-sub, his profile states this:
    Just according to plan.*
    * Translator's note: plan means tactical contigistrat
  • Badass Longcoat: Wears a dark grey coat.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He may be a dense otaku boy, have a penchant for tough guy memes and be terrible with his sword, but when faced with a position to state the law, he will do so right down to the last subsection.
  • By-the-Book Cop: Continuing with the theme of Tealbloods having jobs to do with the law, he will punish trolls who are breaking the law in any way, and follows the rules very strictly. Of course, this being Alternia, the punishment is always death. Polypa is an exception.
  • Celibate Hero: Deliberately tries to invoke this trope, claiming that were it not for Alternia's laws, he would swear off quadrants completely. Polypa is of the opinion he's only like this because he can't get a date. And it's hinted he may have pale feelings for her.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: He feels this way about his rescue of Polypa. He knows that he should cull her for having a dead lusus, but doesn't really want to and is actually friends with her.
  • Death Trap: Tirona's Friendsim route reveals that he set one in his office to kill anyone who tries to enter and gets the password wrong too many times. It doesn't kill you, but it does kill Tirona.
  • Eyes Always Shut: His Troll Call image has this, as do most of his Friendsim sprites. When this isn't in play, the light from his glasses hides his eyes. At one point, his eyes are open and his irises are shown to be purple instead of grey like other young trolls, but he reveals that they're just contact lenses. This is continued in Act 2 with both his standard sprites, and those used during the trial.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Fittingly for an anime otaku, he is sometimes prone to subbing certain words with their equivalents in Eastern Alternian.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Friendsim reveals that he saved Polypa from death while she was trapped in her hive. They've become friends since then.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Seems to be along this line when he attempts to congratulate Polypa for "finding love" when she declares she and the MSPA Reader are moirails, despite it being hinted he may be pale for her.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Carries one around with him, and has apparently killed many trolls with it (Although according to him, he only kills trolls who have broken the law in some way, which is understandable considering that Alternia's punishment for everything is death). The fifth Friendsim volume implies that it's not a genuine one. Hiveswap: Act 2 outright confirms that his sword is fake.
  • Leitmotif: ASSAULT by Toby Fox. Tegiri shares this theme with Roxy Lalonde. An exciting chiptune song fitting for a cop who does lives his life upholding the law.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: In his Friendsim route, when his eyes are open, his irises are shown to be purple instead of grey like young trolls are stated to have. Not only that, he seems to have multiple pupils instead of just one, something that has only been seen in Cobaltbloods. Subverted when he reveals that they're just contact lenses. A slightly straighter version comes with how he is drawn on his route's selection screen when hovered over, which is a Shout-Out to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
  • Occidental Otaku: His design, fondness of katanas, and his description referencing the infamous “all according to keikaku” meme implies that he falls into this. His Friendsim route is just full of anime references, and his hive has loads of merchandise. In fact, his route is basically about going to watch anime with him, until he finds the DVD isn't exactly what he was expecting when he bought it. He takes it very seriously.
  • The Power of the Void: A potential hero of the Void.
  • Scary Shiny Glasses: His eyes are obscured either by being closed or the light on his glasses.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Seems to feel this way about Polypa. He rescued her but then realised he should kill her for having a dead lusus. However, he feels conflicted about this, and is friends with her instead.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: His reluctance to kill Polypa for having a dead lusus comes from this. "Lawful" is a bit of a stretch, though, considering how Alternian law works.
  • Too Dumb to Live: In Hiveswap: Act 2 he implicates himself during a trial purely so he can brag about how cool he is. Tyzias tells him to shut the hell up about it, but he forces Joey to prove he didn't commit the crime before he stands down.

    Tirona Kasund
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/17_tirona_kasund.png
Inescapable
A young Liblo who’s a tattleterror. Revealed on January 3rd, 2018 alongside Lynera. She appears in volume 12 of Friendsim, released September 14, 2018.
talks in low33r cas33 and r33plac33s h33r E's with 33

  • Accidental Murder: This can happen on her Friendsim route if you decide to look in Tegiri's office, where you enter the wrong password too many times and it activates a deadly trap that kills her.
  • Affably Evil: She may support The Empire, but she's still nice enough to save the MSPA Reader after they get caught by a drone and imprisoned in her Friendsim route, and even clears their offences that they've gained over the previous volumes.
  • AstroTurf: Tirona creates propaganda memes for Trizza, which she spreads through fake Chittr accounts.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Given that she’s “His Honorable Tyranny's littlest fan”, she seems to be one of the youngest of the revealed trolls. She's certainly the youngest Tealblood that you meet.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Described as a “tattleterror”. Her sign is even the “sign of the inescapable”!
  • Child Prodigy: Considerably younger than most of the other Trollcall trolls, but she is able to delete the Friendsim protagonist's crime offenses in a few minutes and she masterminded an agenda to spread pro-Empire memes.
  • The Empire: She idolises the Heiress and tries to impress her online with memes about how much better she is than any rebels.
  • Gonk: In terms of the Friendsim's artstyle where most everybody is Animesque, Tirona stands out.
  • Gossipy Hens: She says it herself, Teals talk.
  • Leitmotif: "Carefree Princess Berryboo" by Alexander Rosetti. Tirona shares this theme with a fictional Squiddles character loosely related to Feferi Peixes. It is a fanciful little melody fit for a young girl who fancies herself able to climb to up the ranks of the tealblood legal system.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Loves His Honorable Tyranny.
  • Not So Above It All: She's smart enough to have a job at her age, and supports Alternia's laws, but she's also a fan of Hatched 2 Dance, specifically the Jadeblood member (of whom there are rumors that he will be culled soon, implied to be because of he's a male member of a female caste).
  • Precocious Crush: On His Honorable Tyranny... Or at the very least, she wants to be him.
  • Propaganda Machine: She creates memes for Trizza, which are thinly veiled propaganda pieces.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: Tirona knows a lot about being a lawyer and how the system works, but she's also still significantly shorter than any of the other tealbloods we've seen so far.
  • The Smart Girl: Tirona doesn't like fighting. She is a talker, a listener, and a thinker, but she is definitely not a fighter, which is why she wants to turn one of her colleagues in for rebellious activity, so she can have some power over others because she refuses to fight.
  • Soul Power: Her official aspect is Heart.
  • Subliminal Seduction: The memes she creates are supposed to ease people into becoming pro-Empire.
  • The Stool Pigeon: She is a Whistleblower Wilma and a Betrayer Belinda - she wants to turn in one of her colleagues for rebellious activity out of duty to the Empire and for leverage over her other colleagues.
  • Unwitting Pawn: It's implied in Nihkee's route that the person she runs errands for is Doc Scratch.

    Stelsa Sezyat
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/28_stelsa_sezyat.png
Worshipper
A Licen who was revealed with Fozzer. She appears in Friendsim's thirteenth volume, released 28th September, 2018.
TALKS IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS WITH NO PUNCTUATION

  • Affectionate Nickname: She calls Tyzias "Zizi."
  • Alliterative Name: Stelsa Sezyat.
  • Brick Joke: Her last bullet, which references how Marvus is supposedly “texting your sister”.
wait, what did you mean, “texting your sister”
  • Casual Kink: She's implied to bottom for Tyzias. If you try to name her as a suspect in your trial, Tyzias will casually remark that she would be "punished... privately" if she were guilty. Stelsa is, of course, moritifed.
  • Geeky Turn-On: Tyzias guesses, correctly, that a proper legal battle will "awaken" things in her.
  • Impossibly Tacky Clothes: Her profile states that she has no accounting for taste, and it’s... quite apparent.
  • Jewish and Nerdy: Stated to be “troll jewish”, and is implied to be a bit of a nerd, since she has even less regard for her fashion than most other trolls. Also, her name refers to the Egyptian goddess of writing and maths.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: She thinks she has a good taste in fashion, but as you can tell by her outfit, it's not that good of a taste.
  • Leitmotif: "imagine, if you will, a situation wherein i wrote the bulk of this song at 4 am and then woke up only to discover the monstrosity i had created in my fleeting hubris" by James Roach. Stelsa's theme is an upbeat song that parodies the opening of 90's sitcoms such as Full House and Family Matters, proper for she who lives her life idyllically.
  • Motor Mouth: She's described as talking loads without having to stop for breath. Her lack of commas in her sentences supports this. Her text also scrolls really fast in Hiveswap.
  • No Indoor Voice: The only troll in Hiveswap so far whose quirk involves talking in capital letters at all times. Not only that, but she doesn't use punctuation, which gives the impression of her continuously shouting rather than putting breaks between parts of her sentences.
  • Pink Means Feminine: One of the only non-Fuchsia trolls to prominently wear pink, and she definitely has a feminine design.
  • The Power of Blood: Her official aspect is Blood.
  • Odd Name Out: All of the Tealbloods revealed on the Troll Call so far all have first names beginning with T- a trait only shared with one other tealblood, Latula.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: She tries to deny that Tyzias is trying to change how the law system works, and says that everyone should follow the rules so the world doesn't end up worse than it is. Then she goes on to say that she has a friend whose matesprit had beliefs that she might not fully agree with, wanting the MSPA Reader's advice on how to settle it.
  • Workaholic: She seems to be obsessed with her job and doesn't take time to rest. In fact, unlike the other Tealbloods, her office is at home rather than in a specific building. She even works while exercising.

Bluebloods

    Ardata Carmia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/25_ardata_carmia.png
Martyr
A Scormini troll with three eyes. Along with Marvus, she was revealed on 31st January, 2018. She appeared in the first volume of Friendsim alongside Diemen.

types iiin all lowercase letters, wiiith proper grammar and punctuatiiion.
triiiples all iiinstances of the letter "i".

  • Alpha Bitch: The very first thing she says when she stumbles upon you is:
    oh god.
  • Animal Motifs: Ticks, thanks to her lusus.
  • Arc Number: 3. She has 3 eyes, which she reflects in her quirk, and Friendsim shows lights in her hive in groups of three, and a camera stood on three legs. Her horns also have 3 chips each in them.
  • Ax-Crazy: Described as “bloodthirsty on main”, and definitely looks the part. According to Friendsim, she keeps other trolls in cages and films them as some kind of entertainment. Also, she decorates her hive with troll horns. In Act 2, you can get a Game Over by accepting her invitation into her train cabin, though it's unknown exactly what she does to you in there.
  • Being Evil Sucks: Played with. In Friendsim, she says that she fears punishment if she stops harming others and sharing videos of it online, and a later volume implies that once you choose a job, you're stuck with it or you'll be culled. It doesn't help that, similar to Vriska, she has to use other trolls to feed her lusus (although she seems to get on better with said lusus than Vriska did with hers). It's unknown how reliable she is, though, and she is a threat in Act 2.
  • Collector of the Strange / Creepy Souvenir: She collects other trolls' horns (presumably leftover from either dying in her videos or being fed to her lusus) and decorates her hive with them, even using them as handles and switches.
  • Disposing of a Body: If you accidentally get Diemen killed on his route, she'll suddenly appear and take care of his corpse for you, presumably by giving it to her lusus.
  • Hime Cut
  • Leitmotif: "Breeding Duties" by Alexander Rosetti. Ardata's theme is an orchestral symphony that reflects her snooty attitude and lofty disposition.
  • Mind Control: She demonstrates the ability to control people in her Friendsim route, which includes the MSPA Reader.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: One of her sprites has her striking the pose, though her actually laugh is more of a mix of boisterous "Wahaha"s and "Hmhmhm"s.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Disregarding the obvious extra eye, all of the other known Colbalt-bloods have horns that curve inward, with at least one of said horns having some sort of spike on it. Ardata's horns, however, curve outward and don’t have any sort of spikes to speak of, instead being chipped. Additionally, they're a bit thicker than the other Colbalts' horns.
  • Obviously Evil: Her heinousness may not be as blatant as Chahut's, but her conniving pose, meanacing face, and dark outfit as well as being described as "bloodthirsty on main" gave fans the impression that she was kind of crazy. Their suspicions were later verified come Friendsim, as she uses caged trolls as entertainment for her fans, although she implies she only does so because she's required to harm others as a highblood, or couldn't stop doing it after she became famous for it.
  • Poison and Cure Gambit: In Volume 13 of Friendsim, she considers adding something new in her streams: poisoning trolls and making them find the antidote hidden somewhere in her hive. The MSPA Reader tries to steal the poison but ends up stealing the antidote instead, which just happens to be useful when Boldir gets poisoned.
  • Put The "Laughter" in "Slaughter": She laughs at the spectacle of feeding a troll to her lusus.
  • Third Eye: Unusually for this trope, her third eye is located not above her other two, but under one of them instead.
  • The Unreveal: Wherever her sign is on her outfit, it's hidden, and her bio has a cape blocking the icon where her sign would be shown. Eventually, the updated Troll Call page revealed her sign to be Scormini.
  • Villains Out Shopping: She shows up in Friendsim's thirteenth volume when the MSPA Reader visits a cafe and finds her there, annoyed at the staff getting her order wrong. She also literally goes shopping, and can make the Reader carry everything she's bought.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Her official aspect is Doom.

    ?????? Elwurd
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/19_elwurd.png
Radical
A Scornius who was revealed with Galekh on January 10th, 2017. She appears alongside Folykl and Kuprum in Volume 6 of Friendsim, released June 22nd, 2018.
taLks in aLL Lower case except for the Letter L
doesn't usually use periods unless she's saying more than one sentence at a time

  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Well, more like bad girls. She seems to like trolls who look dangerous. As an inversion, she also says that she likes to pursue black relationships with good girls. Though her relationship with Bronya, who is rather nice and doesn't fit the bad image, was a red one. She also seems to like Joey, who is also rather nice.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Her official aspect is Hope.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Trying to head to the nearest hangout spot will cause her to focus more on a fellow Cobaltblood who she finds attractive, thus giving you a Game Over.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She may be a drug dealer and rather shady, but she will interfere if she thinks someone is about to get themselves killed, such as preventing Joey and Xefros from going into Ardata's cabin and possibly talking Chixie out of performing at Jeevik Week, which will almost certainly get her killed.
  • Fantastic Racism: Seems to hold a lot of ire towards the Jade caste, viewing them as a bunch of pretentious hacks who constantly preach about their "sacred duty". Her poor relationship with Bronya might have had something to do with it.
  • Good Samaritan: Even taking her attraction to Joey into account, she goes above and beyond to help the party, like loaning them a pirate costume and bribing Remele with an expensive ticket she was intending to scalp.
  • Hypocrite: She's willing to rope the MSPA Reader into helping her lie to make her ex jealous, but refuses to have any more to do with them if she discovers they lied to her.
  • I Have Many Names: According to the updated Troll Call page, she goes by multiple names such as Gaegrl, Rxsell, and Skalpr.
  • Last-Name Basis: Her first name is not shown, implying that she only goes by her last name.
  • Leitmotif: "Superego" by Yan Rodriguez. Elwurd shares her theme with Vriska Serket. It is a calm melody with a moody electric guitar.
  • Letter Motif: She capitalises her "L's" and her last name sounds like "L word."
  • My Name Is ???: Her bio introduces her as "?????? Elwurd." The bio also mentions her "other aliases", implying that's not her real name either.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Can be a bit of an ass at times, especially when it comes to relationships, but she's quite laid-back and willing to listen to others vent about their failed relationships. She's certainly nicer than fellow Cobalts Vriska or Ardata. Act 2 can also have her talking Chixie out of going to Jeevik Week, where she's likely to get herself killed, and intervening in Ardata's attempt to lure Joey and Xefros into her cabin.
  • Not Good with Rejection: Her relationship with Bronya. While it's unclear as to who initiated the breakup, Elwurd deliberately torments her ex, namely by hiding her favorite sweater in her closet as well as acting quite pretentious towards her and her blood caste.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: "Not Vriska."
  • The Unreveal: In Friendsim, not only is her first name never mentioned even by Bronya, her ex-matespirt but her lusus is not seen or mentioned. Lampshaded when the narration says you don't bother to ask what Lusus she has.

    Remele Namaaq
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/38_remele_namaaq_3.png
Crusader
A Scorgo pirate-artist who was revealed alongside Lanque. She appears alongside Konyyl in the seventh volume of Friendsim, released July 6th, 2018.
Speaks with perfect grammar and syntax.
Adds an e after a noune that does not end on a vowele.
Spells "fuck" as "fuque".

  • Anime Hair: No, that black thing with ribbons isn't a hat. It's a weird bun, according to Word of God.
  • Eccentric Artist: Her mannerisms and interest in creating art make her come off as this.
  • Everything Sounds Sexier in French / Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Her tendency to suffix certain words with Es could invoke a downplayed version of either of these.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Unlike typical examples of this trope, this doesn't lie in her eye color, but rather her pupils. One eye has no pupil at all, while the other has four.
  • Fangirl: It's unclear as to what she's a fangirl of, but she seems to be a parody of this stereotype.
  • Hidden Depths: Getting her as a follower on Chittr in Act 2 reveals that she knows Joey is not a troll, and thinks her disguise is badly made.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Yes, she steals and rips off other people's art, and can also abandon you after you help her steal a painting in one path of her Friendsim route, but the other path has her saving you from a Purpleblood, and she is still much more friendly in comparison to Vriska and Ardata.
  • Karma Houdini: Remele talks herself out of trouble in one of the endings in the Friendsim and explains that even if she does get arrested, she'd probably just talk herself out of that too. It's possible that she gets away with things easily by subtly using mind control, as she has the heterochromia that other Cobalts with telepathy have.
  • Leitmotif: "Piwates ,':^]" by James Roach. Remele's theme features accordions, brass, and strings all instruments associated with other castes to create a very unique melody, fitting for a thief who takes art and rearranges it to make it her own.
  • Mad Artist: She isn't this to begin with, but in the good ending of her Friendsim route, she shows signs of becoming one after she kills a Purpleblood whilst also getting herself injured, and becomes fascinated by the blood colours mixing together.
    • Hiveswap: Act 2 suggests that she's begun using troll blood to paint.
  • Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: If the fact that she pirates your fanfics is any indication, then she likes fanfiction and presumably writes (and plagiarizes) it.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: More like nonstandard character description. She's the only female Colbaltblood to not be called "Vriska" in her Troll Call profile. Additionally, her eyes are slightly different from the other trolls’, as one of her eyes are a blank yellow with no pupils in sight.
  • Pirate Girl: Looks like one, and apparently pirates your fanfics. And art.
  • Space Master: A potential hero of space.

    Mallek Adalov
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/03_mallek_adalov.png
Mutineer
A Scorist "master of the blockchain" with "sweet kicks". Revealed on November 15 2017, along with Daraya. He appears in volume 11 of Friendsim, released August 31, 2018.

speaks in lower case with no punctuation and ends his sentences with a semicolon;
replaces all instances of "is" with an equals sign and "is not" with an exclamation mark followed by an equals sign

  • Animal Motifs: He has a snake for a lusus, and his symbol can also be compared to a snake. At one point, you can see that his tongue is forked, though it's unknown if it's naturally like that or if he had it modified. It may be an Incredibly Lame Pun on the coding form Python.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He may be one of the nicest trolls from the Troll Call, but in his Friendsim route he can leave you behind when drones show up, or throw you into water when you throw his phone in there, though he'll quickly rescue you and apologise after.
  • Delinquents: His mohawk, hoodie and piercings give him this look. While he does have the "illegal activities" part, his personality is actually quite far from what you'd expect of one though.
  • Freaky Fashion, Mild Mind: He has a lot of piercings, but is quite laid-back and friendly.
  • Hover Board: He owns one and uses it to escape imperial drones if they come after him in the bad ending
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: More like he insists that he is a jerk, but its all gold. He claims to only care about himself, but sympathises with lowbloods and is kind to them, and he's also one of the nicest, friendliest trolls met so far.
  • Knowledge Broker: He's an information specialist, and is implied to be Tirona's knowledge broker, who does errands for him.
  • Informed Attribute: He mentions several times that he cares only about himself and that he doesn't mind for a rebellion either way, but doesn't discriminate in the slightest (which is uncommon for a mid cast) and is extremely kind to other trolls, notably Diemen (even offering Diemen to move in with him if he wants to). If anything, its more like he is trying to deflect the fact that he is a genuinely good and caring person... which are not very good attributes to have in Alternia, much less so in the Troll Empire, specially from a Cerulean blood.
  • La Résistance: Downplayed, he seems open to the idea of a rebellion against The Empire, but doesn't believe it will work, and thinks that he won't be able to do much as he will soon have to leave Alternia since he's almost an adult. He does consider using hacking to take control of the drones, but doesn't believe he will learn it in time to do anything before he's sent away.
  • Leitmotif: "fortnite funny moments epic fails episode 413" by James Roach. A relaxed ska song that co-opts the lowblood vocals similar to the Grubbles.
  • Luminescent Blush: Not quite, but on his good route, after accidentally getting flirty with the MSPA Reader he is visible flustered and his cheeks do darken a bit
  • Nice Guy: He's very friendly, which can come off as a surprise given the attitude of the rest of his blood caste
  • Nonstandard Character Design: His Friendsim sprite has visible ears, something no other troll has in their Friendsim sprite except for Lanque. While not visible, he is also stated to have eyes that are blue instead of grey, but that might be because he's close to adulthood and therefore at the stage where his eyes change to his blood colour.
  • Older Than They Look: It's hard to tell the exact ages of more of the trolls due to how their Hiveswap sprites are drawn, but his Friendsim sprite still makes him look like a teenager albeit his shirtless sprite does look a bit more toned, so it can be surprising to learn that he's only about a year away from being sent off-planet. The narration also describes his eyes as being blue, and coloured eyes is something only older trolls are stated to have.
  • The One Guy: He's the only known male troll of his blood colour so far.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite his insistence that he only really looks after himself, he still pays Diemen and another lowblood to bring the MSPA Reader to him, and even offers to find a place for Diemen to live.
  • Playful Hacker: He likes to hack technology, and even considers taking control of the drones, though he is hesitant to go too far with it in case he gets in trouble, and because he thinks there's not much point as he will have to leave the planet soon.
  • Pretty Boy: His Friendsim sprite shows him as one of the more attractive trolls. It helps that he has a Shirtless Scene at one point.
  • Ship Tease: His friendsim is one of the flirtiest in the entire game. The good route has the MSPA Reader character think about Mallek's appearance and accessories far more than any other (oftentimes thinking of his specifically attractive characteristics, like his "impossibly blue eyes"). Not only that, but Mallek openly checks you out, and in the good route you directly flirt with him, trying to be "cute", hinting towards an attraction that, based on his blush, might be mutual.
  • Shirtless Scene: Happens when he rescues the MSPA Reader from the water that he impulsively threw them into.
  • Sudden Anatomy: His Friendsim sprite has visible ears, while his normal sprite does not. Elwurd's Friendsim sprite doesn't have visible ears despite having a partially shaved head like him, so it's possible he's only an exception to show off his piercings.
  • Techno Wizard: Described as a “master of the blockchain”. A blockchain refers to a series of records that are linked and secured by cryptography, often used for cryptocurrency. Indeed, he does have experience with technology and hacking.
  • Time Master: A potential hero of time.

Indigobloods

Tenable
Click here to see her leaked image.
A Sagira troll artist. Revealed together with Charun. She makes an appearance in the second volume of Friendsim, which released on April 27th, 2018. She also appears to have another route in the ninth volume, released on August 3rd, 2018. It's actually Chahut's route.

speaks with all lowercase letters and doesn't uuse puunctuuation except for emphasis!
douubles every instance of the letter uu

  • Affectionate Nickname: Chahut calls her "liTTle blue."
  • Ax-Crazy: Her bio states that “cutting heads is harder than you'd think”, and she makes her own paint (which is made of troll blood, for the record). She’s an indigoblood, so this doesn’t come as a surprise.
  • Berserk Button: Other artists.
  • Bespectacled Cutie: Wears large, round glasses, adding to her deceptively cute appearance.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Possesses significantly thicker eyebrows than the rest of the cast.
  • Corrupted Character Copy: Like Nepeta, she loves making art, is very cute, and is in love with someone. But while Nepeta hunts wild animals and uses their blood for paint, Amisia is a Mad Artist whose paint comes from the blood of other trolls. And while Nepeta loves Karkat but is content with admiring him from afar, Amisia is a yandere towards the MSPA Reader.
  • Cute and Psycho: Aww, look at her adorable pose! Aww, look at her sweet smile and wide eyes! Aww, look at how she... cuts off a troll's head... so she can extract the blood to use as paint...
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: She's described as angelic and cute by MSPA Reader in Friendsim. She also kills trolls to use their blood as paint.
  • Flipping the Bird: Does this in Friendsim if you tell her you're an artist. Turns out she doesn't like other artists.
  • The Glomp: Chahut's route starts with her tackle-hugging you down a hill after you get off a train.
  • Gory Discretion Shot:
    • Technically, the splatters on her smock are paint. However, Alternian paint is made of blood, so it still counts.
    • Also happens in Friendsim when she gets you to kill a troll, and although it doesn't work, the screen still has blood on it. In the other path of the route, the screen will be covered in your own blood from accidentally hurting yourself with her axe.
    • Happens again in a later Friendsim volume when she and Chahut kill a Bronzeblood. It's at this point that you get fed up with all the murder, and leave.
  • Human Resources: Paint on Alternia is made of troll blood, and she gathers it herself, with some help from Chahut.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Has one with Chahut, as she appears to be quite a young troll, while Chahut is almost an adult.
  • Interspecies Romance: The fact that she angrily yells that she was going to let you into her "pusher"note  during one of her bad ends and the fact that the exclamation mark in her good ending's "You will never escape!" is dotted with a heart implies she might be flushed for the MSPA Reader, though it's ambiguous if she knows you're an alien or not.
  • Leitmotif: "ARTCHOP (I GUESS)" by James Roach. A smaller orchestral piece for a curious little artist.
  • Mad Artist: Being an artist on Alternia, she is required to be this. She's also only good at everything but the artist part... until you showed up and inspired her with your candy red blood.
  • The Muse: As it turns out, she's never actually painted anything due to lacking inspiration. After finally being inspired by you and your "messed-uup, disguusting muutant blood" you become her muse... And she's not too keen on letting you die or escape any time soon.
  • Off with His Head!: Seems to be her preferred method of execution.
  • Precocious Crush: During Chahut's route she gets rather flustered at the implication that she and Chahut are Moirails, stating that she's "too young for Quadrants." This would make her crush on the MSPA Reader during her route's good end, which is canon to Chahut's route, fall under this. Based on her blush it could be assumed that she also has a pale-crush on Chahut.
  • Psychic Powers: Her official aspect is Mind.
  • Terrible Artist: It's implied that, despite having lots of money to pay for top-tier lessons, she's still an awful, talentless artist. She was also lacking inspiration until you showed up.
  • The Unreveal: There's no sign or mention of her lusus. Presumably it was elsewhere in her hive.
  • Yandere: Can become this towards you in Friendsim if you make the right choices. However, she seems to have lightened up as of Chahut's route.
  • Younger Than They Look: Her Troll Call sprite doesn't look especially young, but in-game she's one of the youngest of the bunch.

    Zebruh Codakk
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/32_zebruh_codakk_3.png
Penitent
Click here to see his leaked image.
A Sagimino who was revealed along with Chixie. He appeared in the fifth volume of the Friendsim along with a mysterious Goldblood, which released on June 6th, 2018.
Speaks with perfect grammar and syntax.
♦️Sometimes surrounds his sentences with one of the four quadrants to represent his mood.♦️

  • Abhorrent Admirer: While he does behave formally towards Chixie, he makes her extremely uncomfortable by making sure that she’s obligated to comply to his demands, and appears to have romantic ulterior motives for doing so. He also has a lot of interest in Marvus, who does not feel the same way.
  • Amazon Chaser: He likes Olive-blooded girls for their strength, something that other trolls are afraid of.
  • An Arm and a Leg: In Marvus' route he can get his arms torn off by the concert's audience, and possibly other parts of him too, enough to kill him.
  • Animal Motifs: Zebras. Not only is his name a pun on the animal, the animal's black and white color scheme could possibly reference his thinly-veiled Fantastic Racism towards lowbloods. Apparently he also acts like a real one.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He claims to be a lowblood ally... but he also refers to them as "gutterbloods". In Friendsim he claims that his hive is a safe place for lowbloods, but they still do servant jobs and he doesn't seem to care about their health.
  • Casanova Wannabe: He’s pretty desperate to have his quadrants filled, especially by low bloods. He also frequently drives the Reader into romantic situations despite their repeated desire to merely be friends.
  • Depraved Bisexual: Trolls come pansexual as standard, and Zebruh fits that in the creepiest ways possible, manipulating Chixie and Reader and practically stalking Marvus.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: His zebra lusus invokes this with coat markings shaped like a bowtie.
  • Has a Type: Seems to have a preference for Olive-blooded female trolls because of how strong they are.
  • Hate Sink: The developers heavily implied that he was designed to be as unlikable as possible, being a creepy, casteist, and privileged snob. It helps that his horns make him a dickhead.
  • Hypocrite: He declares himself to be a defender of lowblood rights and critiques his fellow highbloods for taking advantage of them, though it’s clear that he’s just as prejudiced and doesn’t actually care about the the welfare of lowbloods. He’s apparently unable to recognise his own hypocrisy, since in one of the bad endings, he accuses MSPA Reader of not respecting lowbloods and treating him unfairly before kicking them out of his house.
  • Jerkass: Sleazy and self-centered, he tends to monopolise entire conversations in favour of doing what he wants, and would either talk over or flat-out ignore the preferences of others.
  • Leitmotif: "Hollow Suit" by Alexander Rosetti. It's a jazzy piece, that feels just a bit sleazy, like Zebruh.
  • Messy Male, Fancy Female: Inverted with him and Chixie, whom he was revealed with.
  • Moving the Goalposts: In Hiveswap: Act 2 he offers his train ticket to Joey and Xefros if they're able to get him Marvus's autograph, then if they get Marvus to listen to his mix tape. They're finally able to get the ticket from him once they convince him to go to Slam or Get Culled tryouts instead of Jeevik Week.
  • Nonstandard Character Design: The other known Indigo trolls so far have horns that are pointy in some way. His horns... well, let's just say they're not so pointy.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Even if he is a jerk, he does dress up quite nicely.
  • Visual Pun: His horns look like Horuss's horse dildo. This isn't just for a Call-Back: it's also because he's a dickhead.
  • Waistcoat of Style: A snazzy-looking highblood with a nice waistcoat and bowtie.
  • Wants a Prize for Basic Decency: He's a parody of this trope. He expects lowbloods to be grateful to him for treating them better than other highbloods, despite effectively using his lowblood “guests” as slaves.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: His official aspect is Doom.

    Galekh Xigisi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20_galekh_xigisi.png
Hostess
A Sagicer who was revealed together with Elwurd. He has a route in volume 12 of Friendsim, released September 14, 2018.
Talks with proper capitalization and punctuation, uses a lot of commas to extend his sentences, and often adds numbers to indicate citations¹.
1 These citations will lead to additional messages.

  • Badass Bookworm: Galekh even has his own personal jerkoff bookhive.
  • Crush Blush: He blushes at the mention of Tagora.
  • Extreme Omni-Goat: His lusus is a goat who usually eats some of his books and papers.
  • Footnote Fever: His text includes citations that can be clicked to bring up extra sentences, some of which also have citations.
  • The Gadfly: To Tagora, as part of their blackrom relationship.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Not Galekh's name, but his sign title. A hostess is the feminine version of a host, despite Galekh being a male.
  • Genius Bruiser: He is definitely a bookworm, and he is certainly capable of bruising anybody. He is an indigoblood after all.
  • Gentle Giant: His Friendsim sprites imply he is a very imposing silhouette. Luckily, he's quite docile compared to others of his caste. He even lampshades it at one point.
  • Gentleman and a Scholar: He's very polite and generous, as well as being well-educated.
  • Insufferable Genius: It's implied that he regularly talks over people and "knows too much".
  • Leitmotif: "Snow Pollen" by Toby Fox. It is a very busy remix of Lotus with plenty of instruments fit for a Renaissance Man such as Galekh.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: In his Friendsim route, he mentions "just because I am a highblood does not mean I am a fucking sadist," making it clear that he is not interested in hurting you for his pleasure unlike other indigobloods.
Galekh: "You should know by now that that predilection is not bound to any one caste."
  • The Power of Blood: His official aspect is Blood.
  • Punny Name: He fears rainbow drinkers (troll vampires) and flees screaming when he mistakes MSPAR for one, and his name could possibly be pronounced like "garlic".
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Lampshaded by Poinko, one of the character designers, in this post where he stated that Galekh "has too much fashion sense" for him to have designed the troll.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Stated to be very smart, and shown to be four-eyed.
  • Sophisticated as Hell: He talks just as you'd expect someone like him to talk, but isn't above using the occasional slang or swear word.
  • Wall of Text: Occasionally goes into this, and even adds citations, which when clicked will bring up additional messages, sometimes with additional citations.

    Nihkee Moolah
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/07_nihkee_moolah.png
Wild
A Sagicorn who's active in "Muscular Theater". Revealed on November 29, 2017. She appears with Daraya in Volume 17 of Friendsim, released November 30, 2018.

[()] Talks with proper capitalization and punctuation.
[()] Begins her lines with brackets within square brackets, like a championship belt.
[()] Occasionally
[()] Separates parts of her sentences
[()] AND SOMETIMES TALKS IN UPPER CASE!

  • The Ace: According to Amisia, she's never lost a match.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Despite being quite short, she's still extremely muscly.
  • An Arm and a Leg: One of her distinguishing traits is the fact that she lost one her legs. However, she apparently got the upper hand in whatever fight she lost it in. In the bad ending of her Friendsim route, the MSPA Reader has a vision of her losing her other leg, which may or may not have been what would have happened if they went to see her again.
  • Artificial Limbs: Her left leg is replaced with a peg leg. Also happens in the MSPA Reader's vision of a possible future in her Friendsim route, where she loses her other leg, gets hit by a train, and ends up as a cyborg with an artificial arm and presumably a leg to replace the one she lost.
  • Catchphrase: She calls everyone, regardless of their gender, 'sister'.
  • Handicapped Badass: Apparently, she lost a limb yet still gained the upper hand. She's also never lost a wrestling match.
  • Hot-Blooded: She's very passionate about her career and shouts a lot about it.
  • Implacable Man: In her second bad ending, the dream cyborg Nihkee never gives up on pursuing the MSPA Reader. Hell, her normal self didn't either, even after losing her remaining good leg and getting hit by a train.
  • Large Ham: Although there's no voice acting, her tendency to randomly start speaking in upper case invokes this. It's justified when you consider she's a member of the "Muscular Theater", the Alternian version of pro wrestling, so she'd of course be a larger-than-life character to entertain the audience.
  • Leitmotif: "lmao i still dont know if its nicky or nike (like the shoe, not like.. the name mike)", (later renamed on Bandcamp to "turns out its like the shoe") by James Roach. A bombastic melody fit for a wrestler.
  • The Napoleon: She's one of the shorter trolls introduced, but she has quite a menacing glare and she's supposedly a "subcultural gatekeeper". Given that she's an Indigo blood, a caste known for its immense strength and aggression, this doesn't come as a surprise.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: She's small, sure, but also extremely muscular, and is also an Indigo blood, so she naturally possesses Super-Strength as well.
  • The Power of Hate: Her official aspect is Rage.
  • Professional Wrestling: She’s in "muscular theater", which is the Alternian version of this. Additionally, she wears a belt that looks like it’s straight from one of these competitions.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: She sometimes separates parts of her sentences which gives this effect.
  • Seadog Peg Leg: Yep. Her horns look like these as well.
  • Serious Business: Wrestling and working out.

Purplebloods

    Chahut Maenad
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/08_chahut_maenad.png
Credulous
A large Caprinius who's two weeks away from being exiled. Revealed together with Nihkee. She appears alongside Azdaja in Voume 9 of Friendsim, released August 3rd, 2018.

speaks wiTh lowercase excepT for The leTTer T, wiTh proper grammar.

  • Affably Evil: Despite blatant murderousness, her Friendsim shows her to be laidback, polite, and very religious. The "evil" comes from the fact that said religion is clown-themed murder. Even when you outright say to her face that her religion sucks, while she looks "briefly murderous", she just shrugs and accepts it, even respecting your vote for her to skip out on her final sermon if you voiced this belief. She even remains affable when she casually beheads an innocent low-blood troll, then rolls the head over to you expectantly. And even when she is about to splatter you against a blank space of her religion's church because of your "mutant" blood color she politely and comfortingly assures you that being offered up as a sacrifice is highest honor their church can bestow.
  • Affectionate Nickname: She calls Amisia "liTTle blue."
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Chahut is almost ready to be sent off of Alternia, she's perfectly willing to mangle you... and she loves scrapbooking.
  • Ax-Crazy: If the blood on her pants and weapon isn't any indication, then her description literally says that she's "single and ready to mangle". Not surprising since she's a Purple blood.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: An enormous murderous Monster Clown who carries a bloody axein her sprite.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Her official aspect is Hope.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: Splatters of lower castes coat her pants and axe. Her Friendsim route also has this - In one path, she and Amisia kill a Bronzeblood, and in another, she takes you to a church that is decorated with different blood colours.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: She's friends with Amisia, who is implied to be one of the younger trolls.
  • Leitmotif: "take me to clown church" by James Roach. A silly melody made up of lots of sound effects regularly found in circuses, with a southern twang.
  • Letter Motif: She capitalises her T's in her speech, and her name ends with T as well.
  • Messy Hair: She gives the Makara family and Mituna a run for their money!
  • Monster Clown: Par for the course when it comes to Purple bloods, she wears eerie clown makeup, and she’s clearly not right in the head.
  • Obviously Evil: Blood-splattered outfit? Giant axe? Smug, toothy grin? Red eyes? Evil clown appearance? Purple-blooded? What part of this woman doesn't scream evil?
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes are a red-orange, and she’s pretty much confirmed to be Ax-Crazy. If that’s not enough to make you run, then the fact that they harken back to Gamzee's eyes upon becoming sober will.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's noted by the MSPA Reader to be taller than any of the previous trolls they've met before, Even taller than the adult you see in Konyyl's route and quite clearly has some defined muscle on her arms.
  • Teens Are Monsters: She's a vicious purpleblood and the oldest of the revealed trolls so far, in the equivalent of her very late teens and just on the cusp of adulthood. Downplayed, however, as she's very courteous to the Reader and Amisia, and will respect your vote to have her skip out on her final sermon after you tell her that her religion sucks.
  • Villains Out Shopping: It seems like when Chahut isn't mutilating lowbloods, she's happily scrapbooking.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about Volume 9 of Friendsim without revealing her involvement in it.

Unnamed Purple Troll (Who is this?/No Answers Here)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/35_unknown_troll_3.png
Unwavering
A Caprira who was revealed on March 7th, 2018. He appears in the fourteenth volume of Friendsim with Marsti, the same troll he was revealed with, released October 12th, 2018. His actual name is Karako Pierot.

 Honk.
note
  • The Baby of the Bunch: He's implied to be the youngest out of all the Troll Call trolls.
  • Badass Bandolier: In his Friendsim route, he wears one adorned with various flavors of Faygo.
  • Berserk Button: The sea dwellers insulting him and the MSPA Reader pisses him off, but when they make cracks about his lusus, he flips.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: As a Purpleblood, he can be rather silly with his clown theme, and the fact that he's a Wild Child certainly helps. Also as a Purpleblood, he can become very aggressive if angered easily. Sadly, it doesn't work out well for him.
    • If he's prevented from physically attacking the sea dwellers, he unleashes his chucklevoodoos and sends them running for the hills.
  • Cheerful Child: He is adorable when he's in a good mood.
  • Death of a Child: In his Friendsim route, he gets picked on by some Violetbloods, which sends him into the Unstoppable Rage that Purplebloods are known for. If you don't stop him, he gets killed. He is just a child, after all.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Wears a bracelet on only one wrist.
  • Given Name Reveal: Friendsim volume with his route reveals his name to be Karako Pierot.
  • Gold Makes Everything Shiny: He wears a decent amount of gold, right down to having a golden tooth. Justified, since he's a highblood.
  • Leitmotif: "{an ascii image of bowsette}" by James Roach. It has many circus sound effects, as well as a melody that booms with the energy of a feral child.
  • Monster Clown: He's a Purpleblood, what do you expect? Even though he's a young child, he can still be very aggressive, and gets the same red eyes as Chahut and Gamzee when he stops eating slime pies.
    • Non-Ironic Clown: He also manages to be this at the same time due to his friendly and cheerful nature.
  • No Name Given: His Troll Call bio just says "Who is this?" and "Seriously. I don't know who this is." His name remained unknown until he got a Friendsim route, where it was revealed to be Karako Pierot.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: His horns are grey and white as opposed to the shades of orange all other troll horns come in. His Friendsim route confirms that they're just painted.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: Despite only speaking in honks, he is perfectly understood by the MSPA Reader.
  • One-Word Vocabulary: He only says "Honk."
  • Psychic Powers: His official aspect is Mind, he also has powerful chucklevoodoos.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: He's a weird. creepy Monster Clown and he carries some knives, and uses them when he gets aggressive.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His eyes turn from yellow to red when he gets angry.
  • Together in Death: If he isn't held back from attacking the Violetbloods, they kill him. Then the MSPA Reader tries to avenge him and gets killed too, leading to the two being reunited in death on a carousel in the Dark Carnival
  • The Unintelligible: He doesn't speak, only honks. Whether he can speak, but chooses not to, or cannot speak and honks instead is unknown. He's very expressive despite his lack of speech, though.
  • Walking Spoiler: The fact that his real name is revealed in Friendsim makes him this. That, and what happens to him if he gets killed.
  • Wild Child: Implied by his lack of shoes and feral pose. He's certainly one of the younger trolls, perhaps even the youngest troll from the Troll Call.
  • Younger Than They Look: His Hiveswap sprite makes him look around the same age as most of the other trolls. His Friendsim sprite shows him to look younger, but still not as young as he's implied to be, as his necklace says "If lost, call Bronya Ursama," implying he's not that much older than a grub. James Roach described him as "the one clown you are not allowed to be horny for" on Twitter due to his age.

    Marvus Xoloto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/26_marvus_xoloto.png
Audacious
A Purple-blooded ringmaster who was revealed with Ardata. He appears in Friendsim's sixteenth volume, released 9th November, 2018.
speakz in dat rappa-esque slang wit inconsiztent punktuation, bizznatch :o)

  • Affably Evil: He really does seem to like Joey, still acting friendly even while forcing her to kill three trolls for his amusement and never once doubting her word that she has done so... At least, not out loud where the other Purplebloods can hear note . Overall, he just doesn't seem concerned with whether anyone else thinks the joke is funny.
    • He's also quite friendly when dragging off Lynera, telling her she'll get to pick her favorite ride at the Dark Carnival.
  • Ambiguously Evil: His interactions with Joey in Act 2 are fairly friendly, but he still drags Lynera off to the purpleblood car if they're found guilty in the trial, forces Joey to play a game requiring her to kill three trolls of different colors (the last of which is his own blood color)... then accepts her flimsy evidence of having committed the deed, and releases Xefros from Chahut when Baizli goes after Joey. It's a bit hard to know what his agenda is.
  • Ax-Crazy: Implied by the fact that he's a “midsummer nightmare”, and the fact that he’s a Purple-blood.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: The earliest hint to what he's like is when Zebruh manipulates Joey into extracting favors for him, from an autograph to making Marvus listen to his mixtape. Marvus doesn't get the slightest bit angry when Joey complains about it. Instead, he talks up Zebruh's ego, knowing he has no talent, and convinces him to go on "Slam or Get Culled" - the losers of which, of course, are executed.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: It can be a bit difficult to take him seriously at first due to the way he talks. However, he is still a Purpleblood, and he also seems to be aware of alternate timelines and the fact that this is a story.
  • The Cameo: He can be seen in Remele's route of Friendsim in the art gallery. And, of course, he's missing his hat. He is also implied to be visiting the same church Chahut takes you to in volume 9, though his own route doesn't confirm it.
  • Cleavage Window: A male example, in which he's rocking a suit with his pecs out. His Friendsim and Act 2 trial sprites exaggerate it.
  • Erudite Stoner: Some of the backgrounds in his Friendsim route have slime pies, but he has quite a lot of knowledge about alternate timelines and the choices that determine them.
  • For the Lulz: Xefros describes his mentality, and that of all purple-bloods, as this. He'll help you, as long helping you strikes him as funny - up until he decides it's funnier to hurt you. Xefros is right.
  • Hat of Authority: He wears a fancy tophat as part of his circus ringleader look. Out of all the purplebloods so far, he's pretty much the one who exercises his authority the most with having the most say on the "games" they play.
  • Hidden Depths: If his appearance in Friendsim Volume 7 is anything to go by, he seems to have an appreciation for art.
    • His own route shows that he also has a notable bit of knowledge about time shenanigans, recognizing terms such as "non-canon."
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: In his Friendsim route, he helps the MSPA Reader after Zebruh takes them to his concert, either protecting them from the violence of the crowd (Which is apparently common) or by pretending to kill them instead of actually going through with it when the crowd demands it. He says this was because he felt pity over them being there with Zebruh, who only wants to get on the purple caste's good side.
  • Jive Turkey: He uses a lot of slang and abbreviations in his speech. It also extends to his text, where he'll often use Xtreme Kool Letterz.
  • Leitmotif: "Clownfucker" by James Roach and Toby Fox. A regular song that slowly adds in circus-related sound effects and musical instruments until the whole melody is just a hodgepodge of clownfuckery.
  • Messy Hair: Not the worst of it, but still pretty bad.
  • Medium Awareness: Almost disturbingly so.
  • Monster Clown: Has elements of this in his design.
  • Repulsive Ringmaster: His main motif. He’s the head of the “shitshow” after all, and he’s a “midsummer nightmare”.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: MSPA Reader notes that Marvus' rapping is specifically "not racist". Marvus later calls them a gutterblood and casually suggests seadweller genocide, so the implication is that MSPAR's obsession with him is colouring their view somewhat.
  • Time Master: A potential hero of time.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: His Friendsim sprite shows his upper half to be significantly wider than his lower half, specifically his chest.
  • The Unreveal: Played with. Just like Ardata, his sign is nowhere to be seen on his outfit, and his bio's icon has it hidden behind a curtain. However, on the Troll Call page, he was briefly seen wearing a hat with a Caprist symbol on it. It was soon removed, however, and WhatPumpkin denied that it was actually his sign, claiming that he was lying. He's wearing it in Act 2, but odds are good he's still lying.
  • Xtreme Kool Letterz: Uses a lot of this in his speech.

    Soleil Twins

Cartographer and Perilous

Barzum and Baizli, purpleblood twins (Barzum is a Capriun, while Baizli is a Caprimini) who "share everything". Revealed together on November 22, 2017, and even share a single slot and are not even considered separate features. They, along with Lanque, are the last in the Troll Call to be featured a Friendsim volume, released December 14th, 2018.

barzum often talks in lowercase
WHILE BAIZLI TALKS IN UPPERCASE
wHeN tAlKiNg ToGeThEr ThE lEtTeRs ChAnGe BeTwEeN cAsEs
SOMETIMES THEY SWITCH
which one of them talks in which case

  • Actually Four Mooks: They were shown as a single silhouette, but the shadow's head turned out to be their masks combined together, and the rest of the features were thanks to them being near-identical twins.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Excluding the non-binary trolls Cirava and Charun, they were the only trolls whose genders and pronouns were undisclosed when first revealed, not helped by their somewhat androgynous designs and the staff's refusal to answer any questions about it. Eventually, their Friendsim route showed Barzum to be a girl and Baizli to be a boy, though since they switch their quirks and expressions often it remains to be seen if they switch their pronouns too.
  • Angsty Surviving Twin: Barzum becomes this at the end of Act 2. It doesn't get much angstier for Barzum than writhing on the ground because she can't feel Baizli's presence anymore.
  • Blow You Away: Barzum is a potential hero of Breath
  • Cool Mask: Each twin wears half of one. Said halves resemble parts of the tragedy and comedy masks.
  • Creepy Child / Enfant Terrible: They're among both the youngest and the scariest of the Troll Call.
  • Creepy Monotone: Barzum talks with one most of the time, but when she and Baizli switch quirks, she talks more angrily.
  • Creepy Twins: Given that they are purplebloods, they already qualify for this trope without considering the fact that they look like Conjoined Twins.
  • The Dividual: The new Troll Call page doesn't know whether to refer to them as "Two clowns, or two halves of one clown," and they state that they were supposed to be one troll but divided into two before they hatched.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: It's hard to tell, but while their Troll Call image and Friendsim route showed them to have the same hair length, Baizli's hair is slightly shorter than Barzum's in Act 2.
  • Finishing Each Other's Sentences: They often talk like this, though it's not as apparent as other examples.
  • Half-Identical Twins: Apart from their masks and mirrored hairstyles and outfits, they look identical but are both male and female. In fact, they are literal identical twins, as they hatched from the same egg.note
  • Hive Mind: They claim to have this, saying that they were supposed to be one troll but split into two before they hatched, yet still share each other's thoughts, though it's unknown if their mind really is this way and parts of their personalities are in separate bodies, or if it's just how their psychic powers happen to work.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Happens to Baizli after Xefros pushes him off the bridge between the blue and purple cars onto the spikes below.
  • Killed Off for Real: Towards the end of Act 2, Baizli attacks Joey as she returns to the purple car, only for Xefros to come to her rescue, pushing Baizli off the bridge onto the spikes below.
  • Leitmotif: "the final clowntdown" by James Roach, a daunting tune with a few honks and laughter in the background for two creepy children who like to "play" with visitors.
  • Magical Clown: They seem to be able to create illusions strong enough for those affected to think it's real.
  • Master of Illusion: Their chucklevoodoo abilities are able to create very convincing illusions.
  • Monster Clown: Their designs are based prominently on the tragedy and comedy masks, they wear face paint like most Purplebloods, and have psychic powers that they use to make people hallucinate terrifying imagery.
  • No Indoor Voice: Baizli is described as talking loudly and excitedly, as shown by his quirk, but when he switches quirks with Barzum and talks in lower case instead, he talks sadly while Barzum shouts angrily.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Barzum is shown to look sad or worried and talks with a Creepy Monotone in lower case most of the time, while Baizli looks much happier and talks with much more emotion in upper case. However, if made unhappy they will switch quirks, with Barzum being angry and Baizli being sad.
  • Sad Clown: Barzum is a tragicomic and wears a somewhat worried look on her face. Baizli also becomes this when their quirks switch.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: One of their methods of communication involves this.
  • Twin Telepathy: Their other method of communication, as they share each other's thoughts. While they do have psychic powers, it's unclear if said powers are the reason behind their shared thoughts or if it's a case of Literal Split Personality.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about their involvement in Act 2 without revealing that one of them dies.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Trolls hatch from eggs and do not form families. Having hatched from the same egg, Barzum and Baizli are the first pair of troll siblings to be seen in any Homestuck media.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Baizil's official aspect is Doom.
