Shared Tropes

  • Artistic License – Military: Girls Frontline is loose about what gets put under the SMG category, it being seemingly composed of T-Dolls using guns that are merely larger than a pistol, but smaller than a full-length assault rifle, regardless of their actual classification. Firearms that aren't strictly SMGs being classed as such include machine pistols, PDWs, carbine-length assault rifles, and pistol-caliber carbines.
  • A-Team Firing: All SMGs share extremely low base accuracy, which is the main cause of their low damage output. Pay attention to their attacking animation and you'll see why: none of them actually aim down their sights. You can avert this by pairing them with accuracy-boosting ARs and optical sights, but with some exceptions, it's much more efficient to build them for evasion instead.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Evasion tank SMGs. While their appreciable Evasion does wonders on low difficulty maps due to the enemies' generally-poor aim, in later, late-game contents, the opposition starts ramping up their Accuracy and/or using guaranteed-hit explosive attacks that stomp their utility to the ground. While they are still usable, their staying power won't be as high as they used to be, since these Evasion tanks often have low HP as a tradeoff.
  • Stone Wall: Most SMGs have good tanking ability thanks to their high base health coupled with their decent evasion, and are thus suited for the frontline.
    • Lightning Bruiser: Offense-oriented SMGs, meanwhile, combine the tanking traits of their class with high firepower and damage-dealing skills. A few offense-oriented SMGs such as SR-3MP have the Firepower Focus self-buff, enabling them to stand alongside ARs in terms of sustained damage output.
    • Fragile Speedster: Of course, there do exist several SMGs who boast incredibly high Evasion and/or feature kits revolving exclusively around that, to the detriment of everything else (e.g. FMG-9). These tend to be impractical in the long run, as late game mobs usually have very high Accuracy or wide-spreading attacks that render Evasion woefully unreliable.

  • Crutch Character: She's a very reliable T-Doll for her rarity, with decent stats, an excellent grid bonus, and a very useful "Incendiary Grenade" skill. Her evasion is quite low, however, and requires the support of evasion-boosting allies and/or higher-quality exoskeletons to stay in the fight.
  • Elegant Classical Musician: Supposedly she is quite skilled at the piano and enjoys singing when off-duty.
  • The Fashionista: Downplayed. As opposed to other T-Dolls who chose more civilian-oriented clothing, she prefers her WWII-era uniform simply because of the old-fashioned and professional "vibe" it gives off.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: She complains about her weight and also has one of the worst evade stats of any SMG.
  • Ornamental Weapon: She carries a saber with her, but never actually uses it in combat.
  • Sergeant Rock: Her profile states that though she is kind and caring at heart, she is a strict and by-the-books T-Doll, often straightening out her fellow Dolls for lacking discipline.
    • Following a Sangvis Ferri ambush on the secret G&K Meeting Facility in the story, she led evacuation operations and directed her comrades to safety.
  • Weight Woe: Several of her lines imply that she is somewhat concerned about her weight/figure.
    • An unloaded MP40 in real life weighs 8.82 lbs. For reference, an unloaded MP5 weighs 5.73 lbs, while an M4A1 weighs 5.95 lbs unloaded. Not a particularly light SMG.

PPSh-41 (After tidying up StG-44's body) "Thank you for all that you've done. Rest in peace."
  • The Engineer: She is also in charge of upgrading various items in the Dormitory using a power loader.
  • In-Series Nickname: Papasha, which is also a real-life nickname for her weapon. It means "daddy".
  • Shrinking Violet: Outside of combat, she's polite but painfully shy and easily spooked.
  • Weight Woe: Implied. Tells you first thing that she is not heavy, also a reference to her weapon, which weighs 8.02 lbs unloaded.
PPSh-41: "Please to meet you, Commander! Y'know.. I'm not that heavy at all!"

  • Animal-Eared Headband: Wears a black headband with little cat ears on its sides.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Given her namesake's resemblance to a certain tool, she doesn't like when people call her "grease gun".
M3: "G-grease gun? You aren't talking about me, are you?"
  • Lost in Character: If the official 4-koma by ac130 is to be believed, being called by her nickname too much eventually caused poor M3 to think she's an actual grease gun, stick the muzzle of her SMG into an oil can, and blow herself to kingdom come.

For tropes relating to her appearance in Girls' Frontline: Project Neural Cloud, see here

  • Cat Girl: Not only does she have cat ears, she adds "meow" into almost every single sentence she says.
  • Catchphrase: IDW DA NYAAA!
  • Com Mon: A given considering her 2* rarity, but IDW's ubiquity takes this trope to new heights, considering how easy it is to find her as map drops even during the late-game, or accidentally get her while trying to craft the much rarer and more powerful Grizzly Mk. V. Neural Cloud gives an in-universe justification: her product line was set up to be the flagship model of her manufacturer, only for economic fluctuations to cause a massive overproduction instead. They were forced to flood the market with surplus dolls at incredibly low prices in order to recoup production costs.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: Her voice. It's one of the first things you notice about her and it won't be the last time you hear it.
  • Day in the Limelight: She gets her time in the VA-11 HALL-A crossover event. She's the reason why the "apocalypse" is taking its sweet time burying everyone in sand instead of destroying the whole world outright.
  • Fragile Speedster: She has exceptional A-ranked Evasion that's only beaten out by FMG-9 and PP-90, but is also extremely fragile, somewhat inaccurate, slow to fire, has frankly garbage tiles that buff the EVA of ARs who don't need such, and hits with the strength of a wet noodle, thus limiting her utility as a frontline tank during the late game. Her unique Digi-mind gear further increases her Evasion, but also enforces a steep drop to Damage. That's not to say that she's entirely worthless, but outside of meme builds that massively hike up her EVA to troll mid-level bosses with, your mileage with her tends to not be very high.
  • Genki Girl: Arguably to her detriment. IDW is very energetic and lively, and likes to show you how she does business, hence the tropes above and below this entry.
  • Happily Adopted: What she feels about when you got her.
  • Hidden Buxom: She seems to have B-cup breasts but since she keeps her gun close you never see them.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • She has a hidden fear of not being wanted nor liked, shown in her heavily damagednote , retreatnote , and repair linesnote . This may be a reflection of the actual IDW, which was never adopted by any forces worldwide. Her Digimind story even lampshades how she was seen as useless by her former squad and, at first, Welrod Squad.
    • She takes her role as a bodyguard (implying she was built for that) very seriously and tries her best to ensure the safety of her teammates, reflecting how the real IDW was a PDW.
    • In the VA-11 HALL-A event, Super Shorty gets to see a side of IDW that isn't the endlessly energetic dumb kitty she's used to. In an effort to delay the Earth Computer's planned apocalypse for the world, she substitutes herself as the computer's AI core in place of Elisa, because she figures her slow processing speed will throw a wrench into the plans of whoever made the Earth Computer carry out their orders. Whether consciously or not, the "apocalypse" subsequently went from an impending Earth-Shattering Kaboom to raining kitty litter (remember, she's a Cat Girl). Super Shorty and Dana lampshade how dumb but ultimately useful the idea was in hindsight.
  • No Indoor Voice: Her "normal" speaking voice is her screaming at the top of her lungs, all the time.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: Her "Cat in the Box" outfit has her switch to a short black dress, matching opera gloves, black shoes, a pair of Cool Shades, and a leopard print feather boa. Even her twintails look nicer than usual.

For tropes relating to her appearance in Girls Frontline Project Neural Cloud, click here.
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Her "Witch From Afar" story reveals that she is somewhat aloof and uncaring. According to her, this is because she thinks showing too much goodwill may attract unwanted friendships she considers obligated but too exhausting to reciprocate, thus she wants to devote her limited attention to people she cares.
  • Can't Hold Her Liquor: She gets drunk after one (accidental) drink of vodka, as depicted in the official 4-koma.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Despite her aloof attitude, she is the one who tells commander of M 1919 A 4 being trapped in the haunted house by blackout in her "Witch From Afar". Generally speaking, she is mostly polite and friendly toward others, if avoiding deep interactions.
  • The Klutz: As mentioned by her teammates, while Type 64 is considered one of the better cooks among the Chinese guns, she is incredibly prone to getting hurt in the kitchen. This appears to be especially the case with pull-ring cans, where in one notable instance 64 managed to cut three of her fingers.
    • Subverted after her Digimind Upgrade, as she becomes much more competent and in extension less accident prone.
  • Trademark Favorite Drink: Longjing tea.
  • The Quiet One: As a special operations weapon with an integrated silencer, she naturally speaks very quietly. Her artist incorporated a couple other concepts of quiet, such as her "hush" gesture and the giraffe (giraffes are one of the, if not the, quietest animals) doll hanging from her canteen.
  • Spoiled Brat: Referred to as this by Type 97S, due to her clumsiness in the kitchen and her poor performance/stamina.
    • No longer the case after a duel between 97S and 64 following the latter's digimind upgrade.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: The color of her outfit resembles that of the green uniforms of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. She has a red star painted onto her headphones in her classic art, and one on her cape in her post-upgrade art.

  • Beautiful All Along: As seen in her Candy Express Costume Story. After switching to contact lenses and dressing up, even the Commander was unable to recognize her.
  • Informed Ability: Her datasheet mentions she uses Swedish-made 9x19mm m/39 ammunition, which has better armor penetration than regular 9mm ammunition. It has zero effect in-game.
  • Norse by Norsewest: Her dress looks like a typical Danish one, but she's Swedish.
  • Sweet Baker: Loves making bread. All her secretary lines refer to offering her commander pastries or bread.

Voiced by: Airi Ishihara note

  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Dark hair, pale skin, and makes it clear that she's not here to make friends.
  • Blood Knight: Contrasting with her normally aloof appearance, she becomes outright giddy during firefights. Her shooting animation even shows her grinning.
  • Covered in Scars: Has giant sutures all over her body. It's unknown how and why she has them.
  • Hidden Depths: Though distant and sometimes bloodthirsty, she seems to care about small animals, as shown in one of her secretary lines.
MAC-10: "Commander, please pay attention to where you're walking. You almost stepped on an ant."
  • In Harm's Way: Admits it in 1-3 outro.
MAC-10: "Tsk. It's a chance to risk my life. After all, the riskier it is, the more I revel in combat."
  • In-Series Nickname: Sometimes referred as Ingram after Gordon B. Ingram, her namesake's designer.
  • Misidentified Weapons: Despite her name, the SMG she carries matches the profile of the Cobray M11/9, which is the civilian semi-automatic variant of the later MAC-11, instead of a true .45 ACP MAC-10. Telltale characteristics of the M11/9 include the elongated receiver and flattened knob-shaped charging handle, both of which are present on her gun.
  • Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter": Going hand in hand with her Blood Knight tendencies, she laughs like a maniac as she bombs enemy t-dolls in Chapter 2's night battles.
  • Slasher Smile: Lets out a creepy grin when damaged enough.

  • Awesome Mc Cool Name: Her name is Czech for, well, scorpion. Even she agrees!
Skorpion: Scorpion is a cool name, isn't it?
  • Bad Liar: Due to her programming, she's not very good at telling lies. This is how Sangvis Ferri were able to get classified information out of her during her capture, since Skorpion telling a lie is just replacing one random word in a truthful sentence with another random word. So Sangvis Ferri kept asking her and compared all of her answers to see which words remained the same.
  • Damsel in Distress: Gets captured by Sangvis Ferri sometimes before Chapter 1 begins. The main objective of mission 1-4 is to rescue her.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Wears one over her left eye. According to the manga, it's a data scanner that's capable of backing up other T-Dolls' memories in the field.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Established as EVO 3's sister in-universe, and is usually the cause of headaches around the headquarters, both literally and figuratively.
  • Genki Girl: Bold, outgoing, and always full of energy.
  • Guns Akimbo: One of the three SMGs that dual wields their weapons, the others being Shipka and Micro Uzi.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: She was one of several T-Dolls who led a defense against Agent's forces during the Prologue while buying time for AR team to escape. Her delaying Sangvis likely resulted in her capture, leading to the mentioned mission above.
  • Hidden Buxom: In her alternate CG uniform she has a B-cup like bust.
  • Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: Her Crimson Starlet outfit has her wearing an immaculate flamenco dress.
  • The Klutz: She's depicted this way in the Madness Chapter anime, where her Molotov Cocktails typically cause more harm than good due to her clumsiness.
  • Meaningful Appearance: Wears a pair of accessories that resembles her weapon's folding stock.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: Her normal outfit portrays her as an immature, spunky tomgirl, whereas her anniversary dress shows a significantly different aspect.
  • Shown Their Work: One AC130 4koma and the corresponding episode of Healing Chapter has her attempt to give covering fire for her allies while fighting Destroyer. Her attempt involves firing cross-armed and holding her namesakes sideways, which makes her about as accurate as one would expect. The bullets that actually hit Destroyer comically bounce off of her skin because of the Skorpion's effective range in real life and the vz.61 being chambered in the anemic .32 ACP, the former of which is lampshaded by a note appearing behind Skorpion detailing this.
  • Something about a Rose: The theme of her anniversary dress, complete with a rose eyepatch and dramatically flying petals.

  • Big Sister Worship: She holds great respect for PPSh-41. This is despite the fact that the two are completely unrelated in reality, and that the only common ground they share is caliber.
  • Extra Digits: Due to an oversight from her artist, she has six fingers on her right hand. Oddly, this has never been fixed.
  • Hello, Sailor!: Her clothes are based off Soviet Navy uniforms.

  • The Confidant: She is considered to be very close to the Commander according to her profile, and is interested in hearing about their relationship status.
  • Crutch Character: Much as stated below, she is very useful before the player could get high rarity SMGs.
  • Disc-One Nuke: Serves as one for new players due to being a 3 stars T-Dolls available right at Chapter 1. Not only she is incredibly easy to raise, if you use Replacement Core during the Dummy Link tutorial instead of feeding the free Sten given, you can keep the free Sten and put her into another squad you have, providing you enough firepower to carry on until the end of chapter 2.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: Her profile states that baking sweets is her hobby.
  • Genki Girl: She's upbeat and energetic, which is her way of fighting her inner feeling of insecurity and unluckiness.
  • Historical In-Joke: Her introduction description has her asking the Commander not to use her gun like a grenade, a reference to one of the Sten's notorious design flaws. In certain instances when the gun and/or magazine was damaged or dirty, the Sten would discharge if aggravated by even the slightest tap. This led to the unorthodox strategy of British and Commonwealth infantrymen tossing fully loaded Sten guns into rooms, where the impact would cause the gun to fire wildly in every direction until the magazine was empty.
    • Ironically, her active skill is called "Hand Grenade", although she uses an actual hand grenade for it.

  • D-Cup Distress: Implied. It's never made clear as to whether she's the recipient of a Male Gaze or just doesn't like being looked at in general.
  • The Ditz: Frequently depicted as such due to her support tiles, which require ARs to her sides, thus leaving either them open to attack on the front line or her unable to tank properly because she's at the back. It's close enough to official that her alternate costume is even called "Woken-up Idiot". This depiction carries over even into her Mod 3 guise, because her exclusive equipment acquired upon reaching Mod 3 is an accuracy-boosting reflex sight, rather than a damage-boosting equipment, such as a unique holographic sight, barrel, or ammunition, that a molotov thrower like her would benefit much more from due to increased damage.
  • Guns Akimbo: About what you'd expect when you give a character an Uzi of any variety. She drops this in her Mod 3, where she wields a single Uzi PRO instead.
  • Mythology Gag: Her alternate outfit is a variation of that worn by the artist's Original Character, "Sky", changed only in the text on the shirt and adding a belt with holsters for her guns.
  • Tsundere: She oozes the Type-A variation of this trope.
  • You Have Researched Breathing: Her weapon in her Mod 3 guise is depicted with a Meprolight M21 reflex sight, which has no effect unless the actual equipment item (earned upon her reaching Mod 3) is attached to the gun attachment/optic slot.

  • Animal-Eared Headband: Animal-Eared Headphones, to be exact.
  • Fragile Speedster: Is the most agile among SMGs (SS-ranked Evasion), and the most fragile as well (C-ranked HP).
  • Guns Akimbo: Zig-zagged. In her art she comes equipped with a pair of FMG-9s, though one is folded up and she only carries one into combat.
  • The Stoic: In her spoken lines, she uses the Japanese pronoun jibun (自分) to refer to herself, which is quite detached and formal in nature.

  • Boring, but Practical: Z-62 doesn't have any bells and whistles compared to other units, but she does her job well for a budget unit. Her stats are not the best (save for her accuracy, the highest among SMGs) but still okay, her tiles are good but not great and her Incendiary Grenade, while not as powerful as KLIN or Vector's, is quite decent.
  • Temporary Online Content: Averted. She was once only obtainable as a map drop during Operation: Cube, but has since been added to the Heavy production pool.

  • Artistic License – Military: One of at current six assault rifle-caliber weapons mis-classified as an SMG in-game. The real Colt SCW is classified as either a carbine or short-barreled rifle at best.
  • Animal Motifs: Birds. Many of her lines make reference to the sky or winds, and she muses about how nice it would be to fly like a bird in an idle dialogue.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: A chibi doll of her (along with one of SV-98) can be spotted in SVD's Christmas costume, which was released several months before she was implemented.
  • Nature-Loving Robot: She has a fondness of birds and the sky, and her character art features a bird of prey approaching her.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Much like SR-3MP below, her tiny build belies the surprisingly large DPS she can output, though being a 3-star doll, she has lower stats and less skill multiplier.

  • Comical Overreacting: She finds everything terrifying and typically responds by finding a place to hide.
  • Don't Look At Me: She easily gets nervous when the Commander looks at her.
  • In Vino Veritas: In her Christmas line, the normally timid TMP unexpectedly transforms into the hammiest of hams after sharing a few drinks of Liquid Courage with the Commander.
  • Shrinking Violet: Painfully shy, and almost everything has the potential to scare her half to death.
  • Temporary Online Content: She is only obtainable as either map drops from Operation: Singularity, or as a login reward.
  • Yandere: An apparent glitch that caused her description text to just read "Commander" over and over again has lead many to depict her as this.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: She's of the belief that talking is inefficient, and that body language and eye contact alone are adequate for communicating with other Dolls. Given that her teammates are unable to tell if she's signaling "I'm hungry" or "I need help" and that the Commander is having a hard time communicating with her, this belief seems to be sorely misguided.
  • Underground Monkey: The Type-77 is essentially an elongated MAC-10 chambered in 9x19mm, with a handguard and the telescoping bolt and sights of an Uzi (as well as the folding stock of the Mini-Uzi). Somewhat unsurprising, given that it was developed to replace the MAC-10 in the Taiwanese army.

  • Underground Monkey: The MP41 is basically an MP40 fitted with the wooden rifle stock and fire selector controls of the earlier MP28. Amusingly, Schmeisser actually got sued by Erma Werke over this.

  • BFG: The 43M is absolutely massive by SMG standards, measuring more than a meter in total length and weighing almost four kilograms unloaded. It has been historically described to be more similar to an automatic carbine than an actual SMG.

  • Dual Wielding: She carries at least four sabers on her person. Her victory animation has her perform dual-wielding moves that would make Cervantes De Leon proud.
  • Plucky Girl: She's described as a carefree romantic who approaches everything with a cheerful can-do attitude no matter how burdensome it may be.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: While not in the particular order, her outfit sports the tricolore of the French flag. Her diadem also has the Cross of Lorraine, a symbol used by the French Resistance during WWII and the personal emblem of Charles de Gaulle.

  • Artistic License – Military: In real life, the SUB-2000 is a semi-automatic pistol-caliber carbine with a curious folding design. Like many Kel-Tec products, it was made with the civilian market in mind and no-one else.
  • Historical In-Joke: Her background as a yoga instructor could be a reference to the SUB-2000 being a folding gun.
  • Unwanted False Faith: She was just a random yoga instructor doll who got nabbed by the Doll Angel Church when their "God", Misia, ran away, just so that the cult can maintain their figurehead. SUB-2000 later met Misia after joining Griffin — now going by the name of M82A1.

  • A-Cup Angst: She's not particularly comfortable with her small stature, and in particular, her near-total lack of "assets".
  • Ascended Meme: As a result of her ease of acquisition (and her surprising strength lorewise), she is portrayed by fans as a hulking, muscle-bound brute. This is brought up into the Girl's Frontline 4-koma manga and the later Girl's Frontline Madness animation, where she puts Executioner face-first into the dirt with ease.
  • Deflector Shields: Her skill is this, allowing her to be invincible against attacks for while.
  • In-Joke: It is joked, often frustratingly, within the community that she is one of the most common dolls to be acquired from T-Doll Production, even for her rarity, especially during Heavy Production.
  • No-Sell: While her shield is up, MP5 is completely immune to damage.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: While escaping from the base's Halloween haunted house in her "Nocturnal Familiar" costume backstory, she confronts her fear of ghosts and monsters by mindlessly pouncing at one and beating it senseless, much to the Commander's shock. The unfortunate person that was pounced on was actually G11.
  • Situational Sword: Sure, that shield is nice, but like Thompson and G36C, it simply has too long of an initial cooldown to actually protect her to any reasonable degree during fights, especially in the late game. It does, however, make her one of the premier choices to cheese Red Goliaths during the events that have them, simply by rocking up, evacuating everyone else, and tanking the explosions with her shield.
  • You Have Researched Breathing: Her weapon gets a Surefire handguard with an LED flashlight in her Mod 3 guise, which has no effect unless said attachment (obtained upon reaching Mod 3) is equipped into her gun attachment/optic slot.

  • Always Identical Twins: Lampshaded, as several people in-series find it hard to tell them apart.note  Subverted in Continuum Turbulence. 9 mentions that she's not of the same model as 45, which is elaborated further in her MOD 3 stories.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Despite tricking her twice and almost killing her both times, UMP45 decided to spare her anyways. This (along with helping her and her friends gain freedom from the street gang) is what inspired Reina to become UMP9 and follow in 45's footsteps.
  • Bifauxnen: Unlike the rest of the Rabbit Wonderland costumes (barring UMP45's), 9 wears a dress shirt and vest in her "Wish-giving Fireworks Magician" costume. Downplayed in that there's no additional effort in making her appear male as said dress shirt is a Form-Fitting Wardrobe and she's still wearing her Girlish Pigtails.
  • Big Sister Worship: A hefty chunk of her dialogue consists of praising UMP45.
  • The Cracker: Like UMP45, she specializes in electronic warfare and is capable of breaching databanks and hacking security systems.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: UMP9, or rather "Reina", was an illegal doll eking out a living in the Yellow Zone. She was forcibly employed by a street gang to con other dolls and wipe their digi-minds, so that their bodies can be trafficked or scrapped for parts. Too bad that her latest target happened to be UMP45.
  • Every Scar Has a Story: Notice that the scar over her eye mirrors 45's. To prove that she and UMP45 weren't so different after all, 9 took a knife and carved a scar to match 45's. Because they were standing in front of each other, however, 9 ended up scarring the wrong eye.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Has teal dots as pupils. They're more noticeable in her battle sprites.
  • Family of Choice: UMP9 treats her squadmates, the Commander, and even other dolls as part of a "family".
  • Genki Girl: Very energetic and positive, and always tries to lift her squadmate's spirits.
  • Happily Adopted: Her dialogue when you acquire her has her outright state that you're part of a family now.
  • The Heart: As mentioned above, she is this for Task Force 404, whose members are often busy squabbling amongst themselves.
  • Innocently Insensitive: In Healing Chapter, she buys a dog collar for UMP45 as a Christmas gift, saying the red coloring of it would look nice on her. She's utterly confused when the now-incensed UMP45 shackles her in a pillory to take her on a walk.
  • Mysterious Past: She was not part of UMP45's circle of friends and was not part of the operation that resulted in the Buttlerfly Incident. How the two of them got to know of each other is unclear. Played With since it's not like UMP9 is actively hiding it, but circumstances always seem to work against her revealing.
  • Odd Name Out: Unlike her sisters, whose names are rendered in proper Japanese, the "9" in her name is spoken exactly how you think it sounds.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: She is the Merry Maker in the 404 Squad, whilst her sister is more serious and scary.
  • Real Name as an Alias: Her username in The Division is Reina.
  • "Silly Me" Gesture: Comes pretty close to it in the damage art for "Shiba Inu Scout".
  • Trick Bomb: She has a pretty bog standard flashbang as her skill, which is subject to Contractual Boss Immunity like every other flashbang. Her MOD II skill, "Snowy Owl's Roar", addresses this problem by giving it differing effects depending on if the flashbang successfully stuns its target. If it does, allies in her column get a damage buff. If it doesn't (or the flashbang strikes a dead target), allies in her column instead get a temporary Deflector Shield and evasion buff.
  • Yuri Fangirl: The Healing Chapter anime implies she's into girl-on-girl stuff, and is seen reading some (implied to be) raunchy materials, if her reaction is any indication, in some scenes.

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Being weaker than other T-Dolls, she was constantly bullied and excluded from missions. Not so much in the present time, where she and her squad is Griffin's go-to for covert ops.
  • Always Identical Twins: As above, this is pointed out in-game on some occasions.note
  • An Arm and a Leg: She had her right arm severed by shrapnel near the end of Operation Singularity. Being a doll, it's easy to find a replacement limb if not for the fact that she's an old, outdated model, forcing Deele to get creative with the parts in his stock.
  • Bifauxnen: Unlike the rest of the Rabbit Wonderland costumes (barring UMP9's), 45 wears a dress shirt and vest in her "Hopeful Fireworks Magician" costume, although that's where it stops in terms of making her appear male, making this a downplayed trope. She at least manages to pull the look off more convincingly compared to UMP9 because of her modest bust, preventing a Form-Fitting Wardrobe.
  • Broken Bird: While she usually hides it with her teasing attitude, her backstory puts her firmly as one.
  • Broken Smile: Gets this a lot in Healing Chapter in reaction to the antics the rest of the cast get into, especially where UMP9's ditziness is concerned.
  • Boyish Short Hair: She sports short hair in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, further cementing the Tomboyish look she had in her MOD 3 outfit.
  • Came Back Strong: Her MOD 3, which is her rebuilt body after sustaining a mortal wound, features several custom improvements made by Deele. In-game, she gains improved stats and the ability to short-circuit enemies who are caught in her smoke cloud.
  • Character Development: Her MOD III cafe story has her unwillingly face spectres of the past buried in her subconscious — namely, her encrypted memories of UMP40 — while Dier is attempting to fix her up. While 45 is visibly freaking out at this prospect, 40 gives her a Cooldown Hug and tells her it's okay to cry in response to all the stressful situations 45 ends up in (and cry she does). She then sends 45 off by telling her to stop living in the past and hold hope for the future, and when she feels that she's finally escaped her past, she can leave behind her old body for good, and her memories of 40 with it. When 45 wakes from Dier's repair operation, the rest of the 404 team note that she's softened up ever so slightly, with HK416 even half-jokingly asking 45 if someone else is inhabiting her Digi-Mind.
  • Combat Pragmatist: She would do anything to ensure the survival of her squadmates. From taking hostages to bartering with the enemy, anything is fair game to her.
  • Cool Big Sis: To UMP9. Although 45 is often annoyed by 9's antics, it's obvious that she cares for her.
  • The Cracker: Her main specialty. UMP45 is one of the few dolls specialized for electronic warfare, and she uses her skill to breach data centers and take over other machines.
  • Crazy-Prepared: When MG5 threatens to kick the 404 out of G&K, HK416 mentions that the 404 can "get payrolls anywhere" thanks to 45's arrangement. G11's dialogue implies that this isn't the first time it happened to them.
  • Creepy Shadowed Undereyes: Her damaged artwork shows her with this, making her more threatening than usual.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: The raid on a Sangvis Ferri facility. Helping your closest friend slaughter the people on your own side, and then choosing between killing her or facing certain death would mess up anyone. This actually invoked by UMP40. Since the security program would only destroy 40's mind instead of both of them, 45 doesn't have to kill her. By doing this, 40 ensures that 45 will be mentally tough enough to live for her own sake.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She was relentlessly bullied by other T-Dolls because of her lack of combat performance, and even though she gained a friend and partner in UMP40, 45 unwittingly helped her to commit a massacre, and was then forced to murder 40 with her own hands.
  • Dented Iron: The years have not been kind to her, if her MOD3 is any indication. Her right arm is now a completely inorganic replacement, one eye is completely non-functional and her left leg is hold together by what can better be described as scraps and tape.
  • Deuteragonist: Thanks to the multiple events focusing on her squad (and her having at least one entire event mostly to herself) and her consistent relevancy to the overall story, 45 is pretty much right behind M4 and the AR Squad and the Commander themselves in terms of plot focus, and the story of Girls Frontline is nearly as much hers as it is theirs.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Her username in The Division is an intentional one - it's simply "aaaa". She explains to 416 that it's meant to inflict "psychological damage" to the players she kills, much like G11's username, "Pink Nyan Nyan Punch".
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Has white dots as pupils.
  • Every Scar Has a Story: She gained the scar over her eye after a skirmish against M16A1 at the tail end of Butterfly Incident.
  • Horned Humanoid: Has a pair of metal plates on the right side of her head after her Digi-Mind Upgrade that resemble a curved horn, much like G3's. As Dier explains to 45 in her cafe story, it's also an antenna (again, like G3) that serves to replace her now-missing left eye and augment her information warfare capabilities, which comes in handy for hacking White Faction T-Dolls during her rescue of the Commander.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: Initially, her lower combat effectiveness led to some serious self-esteem issues. She got over this by the time the plot starts, though.
  • Kill the Ones You Love: Personally killed UMP40, her big sister figure and only friend, at her own behest.
  • Memory Jar: Her memories of UMP40 are heavily encrypted and embedded into her current body, ensuring that nobody else but her has access to them. This is the primary reason why she is so insistent on refusing to transfer into a new body after being mortally wounded.
  • No One Could Survive That!: She took a direct hit from a tank-mounted railgun near the end of Singularity. The damage is so catastrophic that she was offered to transplant her neural cloud into a new body instead, but she refused.
  • Pet the Dog: In UMP9's flashback, UMP45 decided to help her because she can't stand seeing dolls being exploited by human beings. It reminded her of her past with UMP40.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Unlike UMP9 who keeps a playful tone all the time, UMP45 is focused and dead serious during missions.
  • Stepford Smiler: Her cheery appearance and attitude is largely forced, making her all the more intimidating when upset.
  • The Strategist: Comes up with plans and tactics for the squad.
  • Troll: Her usual snark outright turns into this during the Bounty Feast event, cooking up plots to mess with other players in creative ways. She even trolls 416 near the end of the event, flashbanging both her and a mutual enemy and taunting 416 even as 45 makes her escape, saying that her tactics are okay because it's just a game.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Accidentally helped UMP40 massacre human soldiers during a raid on a Sangvis Ferri facility. It is implied that the ensuing crossfire killed Lycoris in the process and activated Elisa, thereby also making her an Unwitting Instigator of Doom
  • Vocal Dissonance: Looking at the other tropes in this entry, you'd think that she speaks in a cold, serious tone. Nope. Instead, she speaks in a cutesy, teasing way towards the Commander.
  • Token Enemy Minority: She along with 40 were produced by Sangvis Ferri prior to the Butterfly Incident and Elisa's uprising.
  • Tragic Keepsake: She keeps UMP40's dog tags as per her last requests.
  • Weak, but Skilled: It is noted that she has lower combat effectiveness compared to her squadmates, but makes it up with superior grasp of command and tactics. Deep Dive reveals that her designers had trouble matching her with an appropriate weapon, because her storage space is too small for the necessary software to be installed. Instead, they picked a gun at random, installed the most basic fire control system available, and filled the rest with an Electronic Warfare Core.
  • Yandere: Some of her lines imply her to be this, especially towards the Player.

  • Better to Die than Be Killed: Would rather die at UMP45's hand rather than to suffer a mind wipe.
  • Cool Big Sis: Towards UMP45 in her flashbacks.
  • The Cracker: Like UMP45, she was fitted with an Electronic Warfare Core instead of a Fire Control Core. She was the one who taught 45 how to use it in preparation for the raid on Sangvis Ferri facility.
  • Genki Girl: Her dialogue paints her as even more playful than UMP9. Subverted in the flashbacks, as she acts more down to earth there.
  • It Only Works Once: Her active ability runs on a whopping 666 second cooldown that it might as well only work once.
  • Long-Lost Relative: To the UMP twins. This was foreshadowed as early as the beta, where UMP9 and UMP45 were assigned No. 101 and No. 103 respectively in the index. No. 102 was outright skipped.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: For starters, her tile buffs affect other SMGs instead of ARs. Her skill passively grants a stacking evasion buff at the cost of damage. When activated, the skill now buffs damage and decreases her evasion, and with a cooldown of 666 seconds (much longer than a typical battle would last), it's effectively permanent.
  • Not Herself: The UMP40 in Deep Dive flashbacks is a mature big-sister figure who dotes on the less experienced 45. The UMP40 you get is much meeker and seems to be friends with MP5 instead. Considering what happened at the end of those flashbacks, the implication is that your UMP40 was reset into her default settings.
  • Posthumous Character: Gameplay and Story Segregation aside, she only appears in UMP45's flashbacks.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Despite only appearing in one event and UMP45's MOD 3 story, her actions and the circumstances around them have big repercussions to the main plot.
  • Situational Sword: UMP40 is currently the only SMG who can buff other SMGs near her, improving their critical chance by a rather impressive amount, capping at 500% at level 10. However, this is less practical than it seems, since SMGs normally have pitifully low crit % (5%, since as tanks they don't need it), the 500% buff only raises this to a mediocre 30%, and around 100% if fitted with a crit-enhancing scope. This is unnecessary and off-meta, however, unless taking on armored enemies, whom SMGs are usually not suited to fight directly anyway.
  • Thanatos Gambit: By intentionally losing to UMP45 in a faked duel, and then forcing 45 to kill her, UMP40 freed 45 from the grasp of the National Security Bureau, as well as ensuring that she's strong enough to live for her own sake.
  • The Promise: She promised to take UMP45 to the Maldives once they have become stronger. Unfortunately, the Butterfly Incident happened first.
  • Token Enemy Minority: She along with 45 were produced by Sangvis Ferri prior to the Butterfly Incident and Elisa's uprising.
  • Virtual Ghost: The UMP40 in UMP45's MOD 3 is just a virtual image. Since their neural clouds came from the same source code, it's easy for 45 to subconsciously simulate 40's personality.
    • A monologue from UMP45 in Shattered Connexion strongly implies that the fake UMP40 is actually her OGAS in disguise instead of a construct of her digi-mind. Polarized Light outright confirms this.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Her designers sacrificed combat effectiveness in order to equip her with an electronic warfare suite. This similarity is how she bonded with UMP45 in the first place.

  • Artistic License – Military: The Honey Badger is, in reality, classified as either a carbine or short-barreled rifle at best, not a submachine gun.
  • Attack Animal: Her pet honey badger Betty is one in-setting. She would serve as a diversion while the T-Doll herself sneaks up on the distracted enemy. This sadly isn't a usable ability in-game, though her skill is supposedly an unseen execution of this.
Honey Badger: [upon skill activation] Betty, attract the enemy's attention!
  • The Beastmaster: See Attack Animal. This is an Informed Ability only, as Betty cannot be commanded to distract enemies during gameplay.
  • Head Pet: Betty will occasionally sit on her head in her Christmas skin in her victory animation. Apparently having a ten kilo animal with razor-sharp claws hanging out on her head is no big deal.
  • Idiot Hair: Has a faint strand coming out of the top of her head.
  • You All Look Familiar: Invoked. Dummy-linking her has the additional effect of also creating duplicates of Betty as well, which utterly confuses her.

  • Collector of the Strange: She collects cigarette packs. What makes this odd is that smoking is dangerous for dolls, and her obsession is bad enough that humans used to bully her in her previous job. She theorizes this is simply a personality setting she got from the factory.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Has one.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With SOPII. In Continuum Turbulence, SOPII relieves Cx4 and her support team from a Sangvis attack. Despite her initial hesitation, Cx4 follows orders issued by SOPII and were safely maneuvered through the battlefield. The two ultimately had to part ways when they encounter KCCO's retreating forces, with SOPII volunteering to distract them while Cx4 can escape. Before heading out with her team, Cx4 reveals that she may be unable to remember SOPII if they do not survive, as she was unable to properly back up her current digimind. Nevertheless she is thankful that someone like SOPII would be able to remember their time together.
  • Misidentified Weapons: Despite being allegedly based on the semi-automatic Cx4, the in-game animation makes it look more like an Mx4 with a long barrel instead.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: In the Continuum Turbulence event, the first lengthy conversation Cx4 gets to have with SOP II is on how she likens their backup-driven Resurrective Immortality to a curse due to the memory loss incurred.

  • Berserk Button: She abhors FAMAS. Both for personal reasons (her flowery and knightly style clashes with FAMAS' stern soldier-esque behavior) and meta ones (the FAMAS replaced the MAT-49 and the MAS-49 battle rifle as the French main infantry weapon).
  • Dual Wielding: Wields a pair of her namesake guns in her artwork. Quite ironic, since the MAT-49 was built especially with a fix for the issue most WW2-era submachine guns encountered while two-handednote . Not to mention that even with the stock folded, the gun is still roughly the same size than a MP40. Her sprite only uses one gun and holds it the intended way.
  • Good Luck Charm: She wears one in her hair.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: How she portrays herself. She calls the Commander "Your Excellency" and acts as if she's honor-bound to protect them with her life. She even tries to catch a horse in order to ride it, since she read that knights rode horses.

  • Face of a Thug: She wears a pretty fierce expression, which is something she is highly conscientious of.

  • Combat Pragmatist: As seen with her interactions in Chapter 2 night battles, she'll do whatever it takes to get the mission done so long as it remains within "permissible range of the contract". She allowed MAC10 to run wild against the enemy and subtly suggested M21 to "accidently" pick off a few allied military dolls as a consequence of "civilian doll malfunctioning".
  • Deflector Shields: Her skill is this, allowing her to be invincible against attacks for while.
  • Friend to All Children: Buys toys to orphans in her spare time.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite her bravado and gangster-like personality, she's shown in the Continuum Turbulence pleading to her squad members to not forget the "current" her if she dies and has to use a backup on the off-chance that anybody from her squad survives.
  • The Mafia: And boy, does she represent the archetype in spades, from her (stylized) gangster outfit, to her personality and her business-like manner of conduct towards the Commander, even addressing him as her "boss" in the same way a loyal mobster would address his superiors. Of course, she wields the early-pattern Thompson M1928 SMG with the 50-round drum and forward grip.
  • Mighty Glacier: Both as a blessing and a curse. She has S-ranked durability and A-ranked damage output at the cost of a very dismal C-ranked Evasion, making her handy to have during early chapters, but woefully impractical later on or when engaging certain bosses except for very specific situations. It is therefore not ideal to build Thompson for dodge, which is incredibly off-meta for an SMG.
  • Misidentified Weapons: Her SMG is a mishmash of parts from several different Thompson models, all meshed into one. It obviously uses the M1A1 as a base, as evident by the triangular rear sight ears and side-mounted charging handle, then fitted with the extended barrel of the M1927 Auto Ordnance model, and the vertical foregrip, Cutts compensator, and drum mag facilities of the M1921AC/M1928.
  • No-Sell: While her shield is up, Thompson is completely immune to damage.
  • Oral Fixation: Cigarettes when off-duty, pocky otherwise.
  • Situational Sword: Sure, that shield of hers is nice, but like MP5 and G36C, it simply has too long of an initial cooldown to actually protect her to any reasonable degree during fights, especially in the late game. It does, however, make her one of the premier choices to cheese Red Goliaths during the events that have them, simply by rocking up, evacuating everyone else, and tanking the explosions with her shield.
  • Stone Wall: Thompson is notable for being one of the few SMGs in the game to have a low evasion stat. To make up for this, she has the highest health of any SMG in the entire game, and a shielding ability that effectively makes her invulnerable for a maximum of four seconds. This makes her ideal for extended firefights.

  • Affectionate Nickname: PP-90 calls her Vivi during the Single Master crossover event.
  • Aloof Ally: She's emotionally-distant and prefers not to interact with people if she could help it. However, she will still give aid where it is needed.
  • Dressing as the Enemy: Her The Division costume, "Hellfire", dresses her up as one of the Cleaners, one of the game's enemy factions. She also has a red Division watch, indicating that she's a Rogue Agent.
  • The Eeyore: Projects an extremely cynical aura through her dialogue. This is mostly because she views herself as nothing more than a disposable tool.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: She displays a curious level of contempt for Dier's cross-playing in The Division collaboration, and considers it to be "unforgivable".
  • Ice Queen: Speaks in a near-emotionless tone and, convinced they're being insincere, outright tells the Commander to stop pretending to care about her.
  • Kill It with Fire: Her special skill lets her throw an Incendiary Grenade to deal damage over time to enemies within a small area.
  • Not So Stoic: She shows a more emotional side mostly in Crossover events. The Bounty Feast event in particular has her mourning PP-90's death via starvation by screaming her name and, near the end of the event, becoming absolutely livid after finding out that Dima is really a crossplaying Dier, which she finds unforgivable. An unnamed T-Doll in a side story mission even describes her as "cold on the outside, but warm on the inside" after seeing the former event unfold via Kalina's livestream.
  • Pyromaniac: The official 4-koma seen when downloading updates seems to paint her as this, which seems rather fitting considering what her active skill is.
    • Perhaps as a nod to this, she receives an exclusive costume for The Division collaboration based on the Cleaners, a faction who makes extensive use of flame-based weaponry. Her damaged art even ditches her namesake weapon for one of the Cleaners' flamethrowers, albeit one built around a Vector.

  • Dirty Communists: According to her official profile, she dislikes all Soviet/Russian guns due to the history of conflict between Finland and Russia. Of them all, she dislikes her Russian counterpart PPSh-41 most in particular.
  • Metalhead: As another nod to her Finnish roots, her Christmas CG reveals she is a fan of metal.
  • Mighty Glacier: Possessing S-ranked HP and B-ranked Evasion, she's right up there with Thompson in terms of beefiness. And also slowness.
  • Shrinking Violet: Downplayed. Likely a reference to Finnish social etiquette, she always keeps a reasonable distance away from others, and is uncomfortable when one gets too close.

  • Artistic License – Military: She's listed as an SMG for balancing purposes. Despite its shortened length, the G36C is still classified as an assault rifle in reality, and a carbine wherever relevant.
  • Deflector Shields: Her skill is this, allowing her to be invincible to attacks for while.
  • Foil: The gentle and fragile to G36's headstrong.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: She is not as hardworking as her big sister G36, though she will always try to help her whenever possible. MOD3 G36 notes that she frequents her dorm room so they could sleep together.
  • No-Sell: While her shield is up, G36C is completely immune to damage.
  • Situational Sword: Sure, that shield is nice, but like MP5 and Thompson, it simply has too long of an initial cooldown to actually protect her to any reasonable degree during fights, especially in the late game. • Animal Motifs: Rabbits.
  • A-Team Firing: While all SMGs have low base accuracy, she's the least accurate of them all. With a maximum base accuracy of 12, there are MG T-Dolls that are more accurate than she is.
  • Artistic License – Military: One of the so-far six carbine-length assault rifles that are classified as SMGs for balancing purposes.
  • Difficult, but Awesome: The Soviet Shrimp is capable of obscene damage levels as stated under Pintsized Powerhouse, but considerable investment into both her skill and equipment is needed to offset her low EVA and accuracy. On top of this, her DPS capability is highly dependent on the player keeping her dummies alive, since all of them contribute during the skill's activation window. To top it all off, players who seek to make the most out of her have to build an echelon around her instead of the other way around, but once everything is in proper place, she should be more than capable of melting even armored enemies at night.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: Despite her small stature, she's the SMG with the highest damage output by a gigantic margin, being able to even compete with high tier assault rifles in terms of sheer DPS with the right equipment.
  • Stripperific: Navel-Deep Neckline as provided by a front-buttoning shirt open far enough that it really shouldn't work the way it does.
  • Underground Monkey: The SR-3 is technically an AS Val without a suppressor.

  • A Day in the Limelight: The night battles in Chapter Four are from her perspective.
  • April Fools: Her skin is a Dinergate.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Saves M4 from Mastermind after the latter manages to disable the entirety of the G&K forces protecting her at the end of chapter 7.
  • The Captain: Prior to the events of Chapter 7 onward, she was the temporary leader of Palette Team, a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits ordered to retrieve a special file behind enemy lines. Being a misfit herself who lacked confidence in her leadership capabilities, she gained valuable experience and encouragement from her new friends before her redeployment. This would prove beneficial to her as she would later assume M4A1's leadership duties over AR Team in her absence.
  • Consummate Professional: In contrast to many other T-Dolls, some of her fellow Anti-Rain squaddies among them, RO is very dedicated to her trade, and as such expects good performance from her allies. Her in-game lines reflect this for the most part, where she speaks in a reserved, to-the-point manner without joking around. Even forming an Oath with her still has her reminding the Commander to keep to a healthy distance for professionalism's sake, and because the others may be watching.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: Her one and only appearance in the in-game 4koma (and, by extension, the Madness Chapter anime) has her loudly announcing her arrival to the G&K dorms with her megaphone.
RO635: I'M LIVING HERE NOW! YOUR PEACEFUL LIFE IS NO MORE!
  • Embarrassment Plot: The end of Continuum Turblence chapter 1 and much of her appearance in chapter 2 is spent being embarrassed over the Dinergate body SOPMOD II forced on her, since that was all SOP II had at the time given they were under assault by the military. She's either wanting someone to kill her to end her embarrassment or angry at SOP II for her current situation, which makes her body spaz out since they're currently sharing a power source. When the duo gets to talk to the Commander for the first time in a long while, RO tells SOP II to just pretend she's dead so that they don't have to lay eyes on her Dinergate body.
  • Ensign Newbie: Her leadership skills were put to the test following her assuming command of Anti-Rain, resulting in her frequently butting heads with the veteran M16 over how the team operated while infiltrating Sangvis lines. She also finds herself frequently asking M16 for tactical advice, or how M4 or ST AR-15 would have proceeded.
  • For Great Justice: Calls herself a gun of justice and even has the word written on her coat. She even collected many police and detective films as a pre-War hobby, though she greatly dislikes those about The Mafia.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: The very nature of her April Fools skin, which is her as a Dinergate.
  • The Leader: More so than M4A1 herself, as reflected in her quotes whether on or off-duty. Most of her in-game combat lines are her giving orders to her allies to remain vigilant and pick their targets carefully.
  • Misidentified Weapons: Her weapon is closer in description to a Colt R0991 than a true 635. The real Colt R0635 is manufactured with an unremovable M16A1 carry handle upper, while the flattop receiver on RO's SMG is only introduced on the newer 991 package. She also keeps that name through her MOD 3 upgrade, where she upgrades to a Noveske Space Invader.
  • No Indoor Voice: Self-admitted in-game, in the sense that even her regular speaking voice is several degrees louder than that of a regular T-Doll. She then speaks in this loud voice into the bullhorn that she carries with her all the time, most notably while inside the dorm.
  • No-Sell: Her MOD 2 skill gives her a chance to counter the "ignores evasion" aspect of certain attacks (eg. Doppelsoldner, Jupiter cannon, any area of effect attack). If she's hit by an attack that she either fails the evasion check for or just outright ignores evasion in the first place, so long as the final damage (after any damage reduction debuffs, like from her first skill) is less than the HP of one of her dummies, there's a base 20% chance (At max rank. Percentage goes up if the attacker had debuffs on them) of that attack having to go through a second evasion check, one that ignores the "ignores evasion" aspect some attacks have.
  • Not Quite Dead: Her body is completely destroyed during Singularity, but SOPMOD managed to retrieve her core and put in a custom painted dinergate. She eventually gets a new body by Chapter 11, and prefers for everyone to never bring up the dinergate again.
  • Rousseau Was Right: Invoked. Unlike earlier T-Dolls, RO has nothing in her base layer. In other words, she has no "preset" personality setting from which her current self grew from. Everything she has done all this time, be it good and bad, were entirely chosen by her own volition. This is why Persica created her: to see if a Doll is able to define themselves without intervention from their creators.
  • Only Sane Man: Of the Anti-Rain squad. RO is possibly the only T-Doll without any character quirk of the five, and exudes an aura of professionalism while on duty.
  • The Stoic: RO is much more level-headed compared to her fellow Anti-Rain squaddies, and doesn't display any overtly quirky characteristics.
  • Tsundere: Despite her stoic exterior, RO is actually quite shy when approached. Her post-Oath secretary line shows some shades of this, as she angrily demands the Commander to delete a compromising picture of her that he took as a penalty for her losing at some game.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Somehow. For whatever reason, RO's voice is much deeper than what her lithe figure would suggest, sounding much deeper and more mature than her sisters in the Anti-Rain squad. If anything she's about as much of a growler as M16A1 herself.

  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: A self-styled genius who considers herself above other T-Dolls. She is also one of the best tanking SMGs you can have, due to her skill increasing her evasion and movement speed by an incredible margin.
  • No Social Skills: Her attempt to ask AA12 to swim together ends with the two engaged in a gunfight. Thankfully, nobody was injured.
  • Oral Fixation: Always seen with a lollipop, either in her hand or in her mouth. Apparently it's super sour.
  • Sore Loser: In her summer cafe story, MP7 does not take kindly to being ranked 2nd in battle contributions. She spends half of the story sulking until she befriends AA12, the very same T-Doll who ranked first.
  • The Nicknamer: She never calls anyone by their proper name, only by the nicknames she made up herself. The Commander is "Feeder", Kalina is "Gold Digger", Helian is "Feeder's Feeder", and "PDW" (AAC Honey Badger) is "Rat".

  • Armor-Piercing Attack: She is one of only four non-RF or MG T-dolls who can use armor-piercing ammo, the others being 6P62 (AR), Contender (HG) and post-Digimind upgrade GSh-18 (HG).
  • Small Name, Big Ego: She's somehow convinced she's in a position of authority, and acts accordingly. That she does not have a command module and isn't seen actually leading any teams in combat doesn't stop her from giving bratty demands to her superiors or other T-Dolls (or "subordinates", as it were). She isn't even the head of any of the base departments in the overview; she's just a depot worker for the Frontline Combat Team.
  • Stance System: Her SMG is capable of loading up to three different types of ammunitionnote  with varying effects that can be hot-swapped on the field by tapping her skill icon.
  • Tiny Tyrannical Girl: Her petite build doesn't prevent her from treating everyone (Commander included) as her subordinates.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 2 of Continuum Turbulence focuses on her and HK416's efforts to save stranded G&K echelons.
  • Artistic License – Military: As seems to always be the case, she's misclassified as an SMG due to the weapon's short length. The real AKS-74U is, of course, classified as a carbine.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: The right leg of her camo pants is significantly shorter than the left.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With HK416. Her impulsive nature clashes with 416's professional demeanor, but they eventually warm up to each other as they work together to rescue the stranded Griffin dolls. 416 even ended up rejoining Griffin because of her in one of the fake endings.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite being a mere logistics doll, she seems to be aware of HK416's involvement with 404 Squad.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Her memories of the rescue operation during Continuum Turbulence (including of HK416) are deemed "not suitable for retention", and as such will be overwritten once she connects to Griffin's database, causing her a great deal of distress.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She has a rather sharp tongue, but her friendship with AS Val and 9A-91 is genuine. She even goes out of her way to save them during Continuum Turbulence, despite being heavily outnumbered and outgunned by enemies.
  • Misidentified Weapons: As it is common, she is misnamed as AK-74U (No S) in-game. Her Chinese New Year story has her identified by the weapon's proper name instead.
  • Remember the New Guy?: She mentions in Continuum Turbulence as having "joined a long time ago". Justified in that she is a logistics doll, so presumably she was in the background all along while previous chapters happened. 9A-91 also foreshadowed her existence in one of her secretary lines. From an out-of-universe standpoint however, that quote is quite fitting, because she did in a sense join a long time ago. Her voice files had been in the game client as far back as Operation Cube+, 18 months prior.
  • Soul-Sucking Retail Job: Implied. Her character profile mentions a rumor about 74U working in retail before coming to G&K.
  • The McCoy: Compared to 9A-91 and AS Val, she is hot-headed and prone to making brash decisions.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: A subtle one. She wears a white tank-top, a blue camisole over it, red fanny packs and red fingerless gloves; the colors of the Russian flag. Her boots also have the same color scheme.

  • Achilles' Heel: Attrition. Despite her high EVA, P90's capability as a tank relies on her keeping her links alive for as long as possible. As enemies' accuracy gradually improves with difficulty, P90 is all but guaranteed to lose links through successive battles, and her potential EVA begins dropping like a rock when she does. Not helping matters is how many enemies have Always Accurate Attacks now, bosses and non-bosses alike, which completely disregard her high EVA to begin with.
  • Animal Motifs: Squirrel.
  • Borrowed Catch Phrase: Many of her quotes are her impersonations of well-known T-Dolls and their catchphrases. Coincidentally, her hobby is finding trendy catchphrases to copy.
    P90:"We are all family now!"
  • Costume Copycat: Continuing from above, she will take her impersonations even farther by cosplaying as other dolls. In the official 4koma by Tobimura, she stripped WA2000's dummies of their outfits and went on to impersonating her around the base. Needless to say, WA2000 was not very happy after catching her in the act.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Being an SMG, her having high Evasion is a given, but her active ability takes this to new heights, by ramping this stat up even further by 20% per second. Furthermore, the first four attacks performed after activation will never miss and are guaranteed to crit.
  • Me's a Crowd: Her active ability spawns a very durable holographic copy of herself for 3 seconds, and the amount of decoys scale according to the amount of linked Dummies. At max Dummy Link, activating the ability spawns five copies at once. The copies themselves can also be buffed by HS2000 and P22's special HP Shield skills, effectively turning her into a Stone Wall.

  • Artistic License – Military: For the same reason as the other ARs/Carbines that have been added as SMGs. The X95 is an evolution of the Micro Tavor, a compact carbine variant of the TAR-21. While 9x19mm is an available chambering for the X95, which would in fact make it a submachine gun, the weapon depicted in-game is clearly the 5.56x45mm version. To make things more confusing, the big bulky integral suppressor depicted in the character CG was only ever designed for the X95-S 9mm variant.
  • Artistic License – Religion: Perhaps as a nod towards her being based on an Israeli gun, she appears to be wearing a talit (Jewish prayer shawl). However, while some progressive Jewish communities do see women wearing a talit, this is extremely rare - they're usually worn by men. Furthermore, a talit is worn under the outer layer of clothes, not over it, except during prayer.
  • Caring Gardener: She enjoys cultivating flowers in her spare time, fitting her demure and kindhearted personality. The blue flower Jericho wears was in fact a gift from X95.

  • Chess Master: Chess is her favorite game, while she herself is a talented strategist fluent in tactical theory.
  • Sergeant Rock: While her harsh words and cold demeanor towards other dolls makes her seem like a Drill Sergeant Nasty, she is known to be good at judging others' feelings and hence issues somewhat impractical warnings to those under her. For that reason, she is actually quite popular.

An ex-civilian bodyguard doll who also briefly worked with the Stasi. Previously known as Mona.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Bramedb hacks a heavily-injured Mona just to torment J further, alternating between pushing him to commit suicide and pleading him not to. Mona has to crush her own throat so that Bramedb wouldn't have control over her speech anymore.
  • By-the-Book Cop: Contrasting J, Mona strictly adheres to the agency's rules and orders from her superiors. J manages to rope her into his investigation anyway.
  • Ensign Newbie: Romy put J under Mona's jurisdiction despite the latter being a fresh recruit. This is more to keep tabs on J's action more than anything, as she knows Mona's personality will make it hard for him to act out of the line.
  • Martial Pacifist: SP9 dislikes conflict and abhors the necessity of using violence to stop more violence, thus creating a vicious cycle. Being an ex-bodyguard, she would rather protect rather than destroy something. Her skill activation lines reflect this, with her demanding enemies to drop their weapons and surrender, and the skill itself focuses on protecting allies by creating shields and reducing enemy firepower.

  • Drunken Glow: Dorothy's face will briefly turn bright red in her victory animation.
  • Emergency Transformation: At the end of the VA-11 HALL-A event, the real-world G&K manage to save the VA-11 HALL-A cast from their world's imminent destruction by extracting their data from 416's neural cloud before she woke up from her alchol-induced stupor. All of them got put into specially-manufactured T-Dolls resembling their former selves (aside from Anna, who got turned into a Fairy instead).
  • Finger Firearms: Per source material, Dorothy doesn't use an actual gun, but rather miniature firearms built into her fingers. Her chibi sprites lacks a firearm accordingly, and she makes Finger Gun gestures when attacking instead. What makes her an SMG and not a HG is never explained, despite her using a literal "hand gun".
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Her favorite drink is Piano Woman and if Jill is mixing one while in battle, Dorothy's own skill is boosted.
  • Guest Fighter: From VA-11 HALL-A.
  • Mythology Gag: Her damaged art features her Ocular Gushers, which is a character quirk she had in her original game.
  • Stance System: Dorothy's skill has two modes: Nano-camouflage and MIRD113. The modes can be freely toggled between each other, though her positioning on the echelon grid will determine its starting phase.
    • Nano-camouflage effectively doubles her own EVA at the cost of that of her allies, though their shots become 80% more accurate for the duration of the effect. Defaults to Nano-camouflage if Dorothy is in the middle row.
    • MIRD113 instead doubles her damage, but reduces her allies' ACC by 40%, in exchange for a 80% EVA boost. Defaults to MIRD113 if Dorothy is in the top or bottom row.

  • Anti-Villain: She is the true culprit of the Dream Theater event. Henrietta sent out coded messages to lure dolls into the cyborg's virtual space, so that their neural clouds can be harnessed to delay its inevitable collapse.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Much like in the source material, this Henrietta is exceptionally attached to her Handler. She even shows this sort of clinginess to the Commander (who is simply using Jose's account to disguise himself) and promptly discards it when she realizes the truth.
  • Deflector Shield: Similar to Type 100, her Full Moon Protector skill has her deploy an HP shield and grants her different buffs depending if the shield is broken or not. The difference is that her shield is active from the get go; triggering the skil simply refreshes its duration.
  • I Will Wait for You: She waited for 50 years for her Handler to come back.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: In the last chapter of the Il Teatrino event, Henrietta manages to access G&K files about herself concerning her nature as an artifical intelligence shortly before the Commander and Kalina pulled her admin permissions for the server she resided on. The truth shook her so much that she almost let herself get wiped along with the server, until the Commander convinced her to live on.
  • Tragic Keepsake: A SIG P239. In the manga, Henrietta was originally supposed to be issued with a Five-SeveN to match her P90, but since her hands are too small to hold it, Jose ended up giving her a subcompact pistol instead. It ultimately becomes a key in the final confrontation. The Commander points out that Henrietta still has attachments to the gun, snapping her out of her Despair Event Horizon.
  • Underground Monkey: Gameplay-wise, she has the same exact base stats as P90, only differing in their skills. P90 is closer to a traditional evasion tank, while Henrietta has the potential to deal damage if her shield remains intact.

  • Identical Stranger: In a rarity for the game's setting, she's explicitly a carbon copy of an existing T-Doll, manufactured and fielded by a military group other than G&K. In Agent Vector's case, Dier copied Vector's neural cloud data and turned it into an NPC companion to help against Fang, but the latter corrupted her into Hellfire instead.
  • Mythology Gag: Like Agent 416, her presence in the event is a reference to how ubiquitous the Vector is in many of Ubisoft's shooters from The New '10s - particularly, she's armed with the "First Wave" version of the gun from The Division proper.
  • Take Cover!: Agent Vector's skill has her plopping down a Mobile Cover from The Division. Having the Set Bonus from her exclusive equipment also gives cover for other dolls in the same column, as well as giving evasion and damage reduction buff for the unit it was covering.

  • Adaptational Badass: Normally, her attempting to divekick anything with Jashin Kick ends in humorous failure, especially against Yurine. In the world of Girls' Frontline, Jashin Kick is her basic attack, explodes on landing for Area of Effect damage, and she can kick even harder with the active portion of her skill.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: She wants to kill Yurine in order to return to Hell, since the latter didn't have the spell book that could send her back. When she finally gets rid of Yurine by sending her to the Girls' Frontline universe with Ouroboros, Jashin is happy she's finally free... at first. She soon comes to regret it, since the spell also sent her other friends as well, leaving her all alone. At this point, she comes to the realization that she actually cares about them, especially Yurine.
  • Deflector Shields: The passive half of Jashin Kick gives her a shield every 10 seconds equal to 10% of her lost HP, presumably to make up for the fact that her "rate of fire", as it were, is relatively low for an "SMG".
  • Not Drawn to Scale: Her in-battle sprites render her snake tail shorter than it appears on her artwork, looking roughly only as long as her human half.
  • Smug Snake: Pun aside, she always gives a smug look when she thinks her plans are working, right up until they aren't
  • Snake People: A lamia, specifically.
  • Supreme Chef: One of the few good traits she has, to the point where an ordinary soup ladle is her unique equipment. She even gets her own restaurant management minigame where she cooks and serves up dishes for various T-Dolls.
  • Tail Slap: Of a sort. Her basic attack animation is her signature "Jashin Kick", making it more of a Diving Kick with a snake tail more than anything else.
  • Tsundere: Abrasive-side first for Medusa, like in the source material. Players don't actually get to see this in action until the very end of the My Devil's Frontline event, during Jashin's restaurant minigame, where she's shown blushing profusely and having a hard time accepting Medusa's praise for her cooking skills.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: She ropes NZ75, CZ75, P90 and Ouroboros into helping her cause by whipping up a sob story about how Yurine forcibly summoned her and performed unethical experiments on her, like turning into a lamia (note: she was born as a lamia).
