The Valentine Gang
Heroine/Main Character ("MC")
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You choose the main character's first and last name.
- Photographic Memory: She can reconstruct the layout of a chess board from memory.
- Took a Level in Badass: Starts out needing to be rescued, but becomes more competent as things go on. She even drives a get away car on Ash's route.
Chance Valentine
Chance Valentine is the leader of the gang. He's very cold and rude. His brother is Yoshimitsu.
- The Leader: He's the leader of the gang.
Yoshimitsu Valentine
Yoshimitsu is a very hot headed yakuza. He uses a gun, but also carries around a katana that he likes to use. He is the brother of Chance.
- Affectionate Nickname: Irving calls him "Yoyo".
- Tattooed Crook: He has dragon tattoos going up his arms, fitting for a full-fledged yakuza.
Aurora James
Aurora James is a very flirtatious hustler.
- Affectionate Nickname: Some of the other gangsters call her Rory. In her route, she calls the heroine "Little Lamb."
- Ladykiller in Love: She's had many flings and casual girlfriends over the years, but ends up settling down long-term with the heroine in her route.
Ash Winters
Ash Winters is the gangster's hitman. His background is unknown, and he is very quiet and cold. He's skilled in most weapons, but mostly uses a sniper rifle.
- Heroes Love Dogs: Absolutely adores dogs and takes care of the MC’s Great Dane Seymour happily.
- The Quiet One: The protagonist can barely get a word out of him at first.
Irving Monroe
Irving Monroe is a famous hotshot defense attorney. He pulls the strings to keep all of the gangsters out of jail. He's rich and also owns the mansion that they all stay in.
- Conspicuous Consumption: Insists on the finer things in life, like five star restaurants and shopping on Rodeo Drive.
- Defrosting Ice King: Starts off quite cool and snarky with the protagonist, but warms to her very quickly.
- Guile Hero: His main weapon against potential antagonists isn't brute strength, but rather thinking very quickly on his feet and adapting to situations immediately. The protagonist notes that this makes sense for a lawyer.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Knows his fashion well. Hell, when he decides that the protagonist will have to look as well as act like his fiance, he himself picks out the clothing for it. The protagonist, meanwhile, is too busy staring in shock at the prices.
- Too Clever by Half: A child prodigy who graduated university at 18 and law school at 22, he admits he's never really felt like he fits in.
- Workaholic: Wakes up very early in the morning to start working and doesn't let up for very long after that.
Mateo Estrada
Mateo Estrada is a federal double agent. He tries to help you with your parents, and is very flirtatious and laid back.
- Becoming the Mask: He eventually joins the gang for real.
