Madruk was quick to destroy Tradnor, because he feared the magicians' combined power; its people have spent a long time rebuilding their kingdom. As they are obsessed with the study of magic, they have had little time to expand their borders; at present, they have only two castles. Tradnor tends to avoid involvement with other nations' conflicts, causing many of their neighbours to view them as an easy target. However, invaders are quickly disappointed when they are forced to confront Tradnor's deadly magic guard.
The forestry and agricultural industries, which are under both private and governmental ownership, are the kingdom's main sources of income. These products are exported, while manufactured items are imported from other countries. Most of its people lead very affluent lives, with only a few living in poverty.
Located at the centre of Legendra, Tradnor borders Topaz to the north, Palemoon to the east, Bozack to the south, and Izumo to the west. This gives them an advantage when it comes to invading other countries, but also makes them sitting ducks for the surrounding nations.
- Badass Bookworm: Tiny kid spending most of his time in the library? Check. Highest MP & Intelligence (directly affecting spell damage) among the 8 monarchs? Check. Capable of blowing away most competition (and giving many players a tough challenge when they try to attack him) in combat? Check.
- Badass Family: The son of Valhart, the God of War (no, not that one), and has enough magical power to back it up.
- Beware the Nice Ones: He's always polite and amiable, but challenge him, and watch your army burn.
- A Child Shall Lead Them: Reinhart, son of Valhart, god of war. He may be wise and precocious, but his age is never explicitly mentioned, so it may be reasonable to assume that he averts the Really 700 Years Old trope.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Summon Guardian.
- Magic Wand: Can equip the Moon Cane from the Cape Shrine.
- The Man Behind the Man: In Reinhart's campaign, he's actually a Man Behind the Man to Wein, and has surreptitiously commissioned him to unite the continent on his behalf. Wein ends up handing everything over to Reinhart on a silver platter (sans Goldark, of course) at the end of the first arc.
- Mystical High Collar: Reinhart's floating cape gives him this appearance. He's also the most magic-attuned of the Dragon Force, besides Teiris.
- Playing with Fire: Meteor Storm.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Reinhart, not because of his looks (if anything he's Just a Kid), but because he has enough magic at his disposal to lay waste to entire armies.
- Shock and Awe: Thunder Fall.
- The Smart Guy: In relation to the rest of the Dragon Force.
- Squishy Wizard: A double whammy, being a Child Mage and all.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: Likely because of his Divine Parentage.
- Anachronism Stew: His outfit clearly does not belong in medieval times...
- Blood Knight: His profile states that he enjoys using violent spells in combat, all while wearing a nice hat, a monocle, and a tuxedo!
- Blow You Away: His last spell, Hyper Storm.
- Magic Knight: Not a Squishy Wizard like his counterparts.
- Playing with Fire: Has Flame Cannon
- Power Floats: As befitting his Magic Knight status. His sprite uses the same animations as the male Immortal generals.
- Shock and Awe: Has Thunder Fall as his second spell.
- Badass Bookworm: Reinhart aside, she seems to be the most bookish of Tradnor's core generals.
- Informed Ability: Despite her glowing description, she starts at level 1, has only one spell in her arsenal, starts with just 3 MP and commands a measly ten mages. Compare her to Bardal, who starts with 5 MP and commands twenty mages.
- The Lancer: Seen hanging around Reinhart most often.
- Playing with Fire: Has Flame Cannon and Meteor Storm.
- Shock and Awe: Her second spell is Thunder Fall.
- The Smart Guy: One of three in Reinhart's inner circle.
- The Eeyore: Seems to see the worst of every situation.
- Playing with Fire: Like Sophie above him, also has Flame Cannon and Meteor Storm.
- The Smart Guy: One of three in Reinhart's inner circle.
- Cool Old Guy: "There's no way I'm losing to a bunch of preening quakebuttocks!"
- Holy Hand Grenade: Like mosts priests, his thrid spell os Holy Blast.
- Mass Resurrection: Like most priests, his starting spell is Resurrect.
- Shock and Awe: Unlike most priests, his second spell is Thunder Fall, as opposed to the more usual Holy Shield.
- The Smart Guy: One of three in Reinhart's inner circle.
- Ambiguous Gender: Ardor. Confirmed to be male in the PS2 remake.
- Anti-Magic: Of a sort. When Uryll casts Ensnare, the enemy general's power bar freezes, and they are prevented from retreating.
- Blow You Away: Ardor's Hyper Storm.
- Casting a Shadow: Uryll's Ensnare. Also, Santana gives off a shadowy aura whenever he casts spells.
- Cute Monster Girl: Uryll.
- Dark Action Girl: Uryll is a minor case.
- Death from Above: Gigg's Sky Driver.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Gigg's Stone Pedestal, and Santana's Quagmire.
- Dumb Muscle: Gigg.
- Elite Mooks: Times two. On one hand, the generals themselves are way more powerful than the average Mook Lieutenant, specially when it comes to MP and spells. Also, with the exception of Ardor, they command rare and powerful units (Dragons in Uryll and Gigg's case, Zombies for Santana).
- Ground Pound: When Gigg casts Stone Pedestal.
- Interspecies Romance: Ardor and Uryll. Probably.
- Magic Knight: Ardor is one of the few Knights who can cast Flame Cannon and Thunder Fall.
- Making a Splash: Uryll's Trident's Daughter.
- Mass Resurrection: Both Uryll and Santana has Resurrect as their second spell. Except that instead of mages, these guys apply it to the much more powerful Dragon and Zombie troops.
- Of Corsets Sexy: Uryll's sprite. Par the course for a Succubus.
- Official Couple: Ardor and Uryll. Debatable, however, considering Uryll's nature, though where Ardor is concerned, the relationship could mean something else.
- Our Dragons Are Different: Gigg.
- Our Liches Are Different: Santana.
- Magic Knight: Ardor.
- Playing with Fire: Ardor and Gigg's Flame Cannon, and Santana's Dante's Inferno.
- Power Floats: Santana's sprite.
- Shock and Awe: Ardor's Thunder Fall.
- Terse Talker: Santana doesn't say much in combat.
- The Smart Guy: Ardor. Comes with being a Magic Knight.
- Summon Magic: Uryll's Trident's Daughter, and Santana's Dante's Inferno.
- Token Human: Ardor. The others are a Succubus, a Dragonman, and a Zombie/Lich.
- Wake-Up Call Boss: Rather early on in Reinhart's campaign, Uryll confesses that she was actually sent by Madruk to assassinate him, but cannot bring herself to do so now because she has fallen in love with him. Unable to convince Reinhart to undergo a FaceāHeel Turn, she leaves reluctantly to face punishment for failing her mission. Santana pursues and captures her, and reveals to Reinhart that he has been appointed as her executioner (after forcibly ejecting you from one of your castles). Ardor then begs Reinhart to rescue Uryll, and if you choose to do so, you find that Santana has brought along 3 other Mook Lieutenant generals (a Spirit User, a Monk, and a Ninja), each with at least 60 troops. At this stage of the game, the average player is not likely to be able to outnumber them, and Ardor even forces an encounter with Santana (his Cavalry do NOT fare well against Santana's Zombies). Gigg helps somewhat with his Dragons, but the fight will probably still be rough. Oh, and those Mook Lieutenant generals? They all get killed in combat (including Santana, of course), so you don't get to use their huge armies.
- Winged Humanoid: Uryll.
