SPN 5

The chosen fan-made monsters selected for the fifth SPN. For easy reference, kaiju marked with an asterisk are the Evolved for the SPN-6 set.

     Amalgamega

When an evil bioweapons company captured two Spirit Guardian entities, they created a mystical egg that hatched into Amalgamega. Amalgamega proved immune to the mystical wards and escaped the facility.

  • MegaCorp: An evil bioweapons company was accidentally responsible for his creation.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: He resembles a cross between a dragonfly and a monitor lizard.
  • Our Spirits Are Different: He is a Spirit Guardian created from the mystical energies of his parents.
  • Poisonous Person: He can attack using a toxic bite, and his mains means of ranged attack is his Toxic Breath.

     Ares

Ares is a Martian war machine, the product of two failed invasions' worth of research. Ares was selected for the fifth round of Progenitor votes, but never underwent collaboration as a result of CKC being indefinitely postponed.

EVO

In a moment of enlightenment, Asura realized that he could not achieve true power through aggression. Conquering his lust for power and reinventing himself to focus on slow, thoughtful, defensive combat, Asura now waits for prey to come to him.

  • Barrier Warrior: Asura's secondary attack is "Deflection" and his artwork shows him surrounded by a energy barrier.
  • Battle Aura: His card art depicts him with a bluish energy barrier surrounding his body and blocking oncoming missiles.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Despite being described as "Peaceful", he's far from being what most would call a pacifist. While he no longer actively hunts foes down, he is not adverse to violence.
  • Enlightened Antagonist: Asura may be enlightened, "peaceful", and have sworn off his prior aggressive power-hungry ways, but that doesn't mean he's undergone a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Enlightenment Superpower: After having an epiphany, Asura abandoned his path of all-out offensive violence and reinvented himself as a defensively-oriented fighter. His primary attack is even called "Clarity".
  • Lawful Evil: Invoked by his description calling him "peaceful", but Word of God being that he's still evil.
  • Light 'em Up: Implied to be the nature of his "Life Star" attack, as opposed to Original Asura's "Void Star".
  • Light Is Not Good: Just because Asura's armor turned white and he has inferentially light-based attacks doesn't mean he's any less a brutal monster than before.
  • The Power of the Sun: Implied by his "Power of the Star" attack.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He has glowing red eyes.
  • Stone Wall: Relatively speaking, as he has below-average attack and speed ratings, but above-average power and maxed out fortitude.

     Biostorm

     ColourMapster

  • Care-Bear Stare: Her main weapon is emitting a peaceful aura that forcibly calms her opponents down.
  • Cool Teacher: She's a floating mass of multi-coloured tentacles who likes to teach kids.
  • Friend to All Children: She especially delights in learning and teaching children.
  • Gentle Giant: She is benevolent, despite her bizarre appearance.
  • Martial Pacifist: She only fights as a last resort and her physical attacks are weak, but she can wear an opponent down with them.
  • Nerf: She inflicts this on enemy Kaiju, reducing the damage of combat cards to 1.
  • Sizeshifter: She can go from being small to being 88 meters in size.
  • Starfish Alien: If it weren't for her benevolent nature she'd be an Eldritch Abomination.

    Deep Dweller*

  • Bioluminescence Is Cool: She has an anglerfish-like illicium (the antenna) with an esca (the glowy thing) at the tip, as well as other glowing yellow sacs.
  • Energy Weapon: She can shoot beams of light from her esca.
  • Legacy Vessel Naming: Played with in that she was given the name "Deep Dweller" after the submarine she destroyed.
  • Sea Monster: She is a massive deep-sea Kaiju with a head like an anglerfish's.

     Deicarte

Originally a mecha built to defend against kaiju attacks, she met more than her match against a particularly determined opponent. The kaiju's spirit would leave its dying body and possess Deicarte, turning her into a weapon against Humanity.

  • Body Snatcher: Her special ability, switching out with a kaiju in your Glory Pile.
  • The Determinator: Not even death could stop the original kaiju's rampage.
  • Gender Bender: Was originally male, but was changed to female to help equalize the set's gender balance.
  • Haunted Technology: She is a trashed mech possessed by the ghost of a Kaiju.
  • Meaningful Name: Name was based on Descartes, famous for "I think, therefore I am," and Ghost in the Machine.
  • More Dakka: One of her attacks is a gatling gun that shoots plasma.
  • Playing with Fire: They can attack using spectral flames.
  • Shock and Awe: The Shock Maul weapon on her right arm.
