The Angels
In General
- The Ace: The Angels are all incredibly beautiful, extremely intelligent, competent Action Girls, with many talents extending beyond these qualifications.
- Action Girl: All the Angels are capable female fighters.
- Amazon Brigade: The Angels are a trio of badass female spies. In the 2019 version, the agency has expanded to include a veritable army of such women, allowing them to turn out in force when needed.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: A common team dynamic, with one of the girls being seductive and charismatic, one being intellectual and composed and the other being athletic and action-focused.
- Head-Turning Beauty: The Angels are all gorgeous women, who sometimes use their good looks to get an advantage.
- Female Fighter, Male Handler: The Angels are usually the ones doing the actual fieldwork, while Charlie and Bosley working as their handlers.
- Friend to All Children: The Angels in general have a soft spot for the younger generation, and will often act with a Cool Big Sis / Big Sister Instinct vibe to those they come across in the middle of their cases.
- Kick Chick: While all the Angels demonstrate various fighting moves, kicks seem to be their specialty. This is most notable when the Angels fight Madison in Full Throttle, who used to be an Angel, and their fights are basically a kick competition.
- Lovely Angels: They're usually a trio, but they're still a group of female spies with contrasting personalities.
- Ms. Fanservice: Applies to some more than others, but all of them have at least one Fanservice scene where they show some skin or dress up in sexy clothes.
- Nice Girl: While some of them have a few rough patches, they are usually very friendly, compassionate, warmhearted women. This is especially true of the original trios.
- True Companions: The Angels are usually extremely close and loyal to each other. And if they aren't already, expect them to become this over to the course of the story.
- Undying Loyalty: Towards Charlie. The man recognized their talents and potential, as well as their value as human beings, that the police or whatever authority they worked for squandered, and gave them all much more fulfilling work. Because of this, while they may not always agree with his methods, they recognize him as a source of good, and if one of his many enemies creeps out of the woodwork, his Angels will go above and beyond to keep Charlie safe.

One of the founding employees of the Townsend Detective Agency, and team leader of the original Angels. She eventually resigned to start a family.
- Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: The most no-nonsense and straightforward of the Angels.
- Amicably Divorced: She was previously married to fellow officer Bill Duncan. Although the two are divorced by the time of his first appearance, they appear to have remained on very friendly terms, going on outings together, kissing and acting like boyfriend and girlfriend more than exes. She continued to use his last name after their divorce, too.
- Babies Ever After: She was apparently supposed to return to work after getting married, but got pregnant on her honeymoon.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Brains; She usually acted as leader, put the clues together, and solved the crime. This doesn't take away from her looks though.
- Bound and Gagged: Of all the Angels, she's the one who does tend to get into the deepest trouble on some missions and finds herself in situations where she gets a bit trussed up.
- Brainy Brunette: A brunette who is the team's intellectual.
- Cunning Linguist: She can speak five languages and often gets undercover jobs where the use of a certain accent is required.
- Damsel in Distress: Although the sharpest Angel in terms of detection and strategy, her impulse to jump ahead on a case usually places her in great danger where she needs to be rescued by her fellow Angels.
- Eagle-Eye Detection: All the Angels possess this ability to a degree, but in the early episode "Lady Killer," she is able to instantly realize that a bed has been hooked up to electrocute a man just by glancing at it, warning the guy in time.
- The Leader: Usually the one in charge during missions.
- Military Brat: Her father is an ex-military man named Col. Blaylock, implying that her maiden name was Sabrina Blaylock.
- Quitting to Get Married: After the third season, she leaves to get married.
- The Smart Guy: She was a more strategic thinker than the other Angels and acted informally as the brains of the operation.
- Statuesque Stunner: The tallest of the Angels, a team consisting of beautiful women.
- Vapor Wear: Averted. She not only tended to wear less Stripperiffic clothing than her colleagues, but actually even wore a bra sometimes.

Secondary angel in Charlie's team who's also a sports ace. She leaves the team after a year to pursue a career in racing in Europe. Her spot on the team is filled in by her younger sister, Kris.- Badass Driver: After resigning, she became a racing driver, even winning the Grand Prix.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Brawn; Somewhat surprisingly since the opening showed Kelly doing Judo and Sabrina driving a racecar, yet it was Jill who was portrayed as the athlete of the three.
- Big Sister Instinct: In "Angel in a Box", she returns to help out when Kris is kidnapped.
- Breakout Character: Despite the fact that she only starred in the first season, she is considered by many fans to be the most popular (for reasons not unconnected with her being played by Farrah Fawcett-Majors)
- Cartwright Curse: Her potentially long-term relationships have a way of crashing and burning. Her fiancé in "Angel Come Home" is killed in race car bomb that was meant for Jill, and a former boyfriend of hers during the races is also killed when, after Jill leaves Europe, he crashes a racecar, killing himself.
- Cloudcuckoolander: She could often be unpredictable in both the way she talked (for example, out-of-the-blue asking about a suspect's astrological sign), and acted (for example, crawling over a truck hauling potatoes during a chase, causing Kelly to state she worries about her sometimes). At times it is unclear how much of this is genuine and how much is an act (at one point, Sabrina mentioned that Jill was supposed to be taking classes to improve her memory, to which Jill replied she forgot to go).
- Commuting on a Bus: She begins making occasional appearances throughout seasons 3 and 4. note Justified in that being Kris' sister, she had to be brought up sometime.
- Cool Car: She drove a Ford Mustang Cobra II.
- Cunning Linguist: "Fallen Angel" shows that she can speak Italian.
- Iconic Outfit: Her red swimsuit is legendary and is easily her most remembered outfit.
- In Love with the Mark: She clearly had romantic feelings for Damien Roth, the man she was asked to investigate by Charlie post-retirement. However, she still decides to arrest him in the end.
- Ms. Fanservice: Even on a show like this she fits the example the most, the poster of her in a red swimsuit being quite famous.
- Passionate Sports Girl: She's the sporty and athletic angel, and is seen coaching a kids' basketball team, playing tennis, swimming, bowling, skateboarding, and roller-skating on the show.
- Put on a Bus: Leaves after just one year, but she occasionally visits her former team.
- Revenge: She becomes the target of this in season 3 when the father of an old flame of hers who committed suicide kidnaps Kris, plans to throw her out of a helicopter while forcing Jill to watch.
- Sibling Team: With Kris every time she makes a guest-appearance.

One of the founding Angels and the only one to appear in every episode, as well as appear in any of the movies. The longest-serving Angel in the series. She later inherited the Townsend Agency from Charlie after his retirement and eventual death.- Action Girl: Easily the most capable of the trio. She's highly skilled with a gun, in hand-to-hand combat, lying when the need arises.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Beauty; Insomuch as they were all pretty much this, she was portrayed as the classic beauty.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The brunette.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: She's hypnotized into believing that Jill is a childhood nemesis of hers in disguise, and tries to kill her.
- The Cameo: In Full Throttle, an older Kelly Garrett shows up at a bar to convince Dylan Sanders to rejoin the angels. Whether she was really there or if she was a figment of Dylan's imagination is left up to interpretation. She appears once again in Charlie's Angels (2019) as the new head of the Townsend agency, and is seen introducing herself to Elena.
- Dark and Troubled Past: She was orphaned extremely early in life, and as a result she knows nothing of her heritage, including her birth name. She was raised by nuns at an orphanage, and found solace in a doll named Lilibeth.
- The Fashionista: She had no trouble recognizing Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton products at a glance.
- Former Teen Rebel: Throughout her teen years, she became street-smart, and picked up extensive knowledge that would help in her future career as an Angel, including learning to drive from her boyfriend, a car thief, learning to pick locks, etc.
- Friend to All Children: She spent her personal time helping disadvantaged children. She volunteered at a center for autistic children, and when she found out that a single parent police officer she was working with physically abused his son, she took him to court and convinced him that he needed counseling.
- Iconic Outfit: Kelly's white two-piece swimsuit is one of the most remembered outfits in the show.
- Informed Attractiveness: Most of the men throughout the series, including the male antagonists, have taken to pointing out her beauty. On rare occasions this, on par with her kindness and her compassion, will get the Big Bad or one of his mooks to make Heel–Face Turn for her sake. On the other hand, Jaclyn Smith really was gorgeous, she just didn't stand out as much because of the cast of Ms. Fanservice. (if you look up some of her later work, she stayed gorgeous well into her fifties).
- It's Not You, It's My Enemies: In the first season, she considerately, if dishonestly, breaks up with her boyfriend when she fears the hit man making attempts on her life will put him in jeopardy.
- The Leader: She filled this role after Sabrina left, being the most senior Angel at that point.
- Legacy Character: Charlie's Angels (2019) reveal she was chosen by Charlie to take over the Townsend Detective Agency. She continued his legacy by using a voice simulator to be the new "Charlie" while giving order to the Bosley and Angels.
- Orphanage of Love: If "Target: Angels" is of any indication, Kelly was raised in one of these, as she's clearly on good terms with most of the nuns. The exception being one particular nun who used to lock her in the closet for misbehavior. This is used against her when a weekly Big Bad hypnotizes Kelly into killing Jill by making her believe she [Jill] was said nun in disguise.
- Parental Abandonment: She was raised in an orphanage since infanthood.
- Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: In "One Love...Two Angels, Part II", Kelly and Kris turn on each other when it's discovered that they've both fallen in love with Bill Cord, and neither one intended to step down. By the end of the episode they both hand in their resignations so as to not have to work together anymore, but Bosley and Charlie talk them out of it, leading the two angels to rekindle their friendship.
- Taught by Television: In one episode, she successfully delivers a baby, but when later asked how many she had delivered previously, she mentions that she had only saw it on television.
- 'Tis Only a Bullet in the Brain: Happens to her twice...and she survives both times. Note the first time wasn't treated as such a big deal.
- Two First Names: Garrett is a common male name.

Jill Munroe's younger sister who joins Charlie's team in season 2 following Jill's departure.- Big Sister Worship: She idolized her big sister Jill and followed in her footsteps to become a policewoman.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The blonde.
- Break the Cutie: When she's kidnapped by a man and his adult children out of revenge for the death of his wife in prison, she tries to make the distraught man understand that she only arrested the wife on prostitution charges. However, by the time Kris gets locked up in the man's house, listening to him rant on about her part in his wife's death, she completely loses it screaming in tears that his wife probably felt forced into prostituting herself because of how dirt-poor he treated her and the children, and finishes by telling him to burn in Hell.
- Butt-Monkey: She's almost always the near-victim of the Big Bad's ploy. Thankfully, she's always saved in time by her fellow angels.
- Contrasting Replacement Character: She replaced her sister Jill. While Jill was athletic, Kris took a more comedic approach to life.
- Cute Clumsy Girl: She was mildly clumsy, providing comic relief in many situations.
- Everyone Loves Blondes: Kris is the resident dude magnet and Ms. Fanservice of the show.
- Faux Action Girl: She's not that great a fighter when compared to Jill, Sabrina or Kelly. She's skilled with a gun, but she's easily beaten in physical combat, even with other women. For this reason, she usually needs Kelly by her side.
- Iconic Outfit: A lot of the bikinis Kris wore are popular, but the pink string two-piece bikini she wore in Season 3 is the most remembered.
- Iconic Sequel Character: She debuted in the second season as the replacement for her sister Jill, but is just as fondly remembered as the original three and is definitely the most popular of the subsequent replacement Angels.
- The Load: Frequently becomes Damsel in Distress, judging by the number of times she's been kidnapped, knocked out, held at gunpoint, beaten and intimidated (and by other women no less), and flirting with men who just happen to be the Big Bad or one of his mooks. As mentioned above, she mostly gets out of these only because Kelly saves in time.
- Ms. Fanservice: She wears swimsuit bikinis that were quite scandalous for their time.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: It's only in the fifth and final season that we find out that 'Kris' is short for 'Kristine'.
- Remember the New Guy?: Jill never gave any indication on-screen that she had any siblings, yet according to Kelly and Sabrina, she did talk about her ponytail-wearing and braces-wearing little sister at some point.
- She Is All Grown Up: As a child, she was a young awkward kid in pigtails and braces and lived in the shadow of her more outgoing older sister. As she grew up, she shed the pigtails and braces and grew into a beautiful young woman.
- Sibling Team: With Jill every time she makes a guest-appearance.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: She's a blonde who takes Jill's place in the team. Justified, as she's Jill's sister. Bosley even takes the time to point out that she has her sister's sly sense of humour. Subverted in later episodes when Kris begins to develop her own distinct personality that visibly differs from Jill's.
- Surfer Dude: She's a skilled surfer.
- These Hands Have Killed: She freezes and eventually starts bawling when she fatally shoots a suspect for the first time. Subverted when Charlie informs the angels that the man will recover from his gunshot wound.
- Tomboyish Name: Her name is Kris, which is short for Kristine.
- Took a Level in Badass: Over the course of the series, she goes from rookie to experienced Angel.
- Walking Swimsuit Scene: Usually wearing a bikini.

Former policewoman from Boston who joins Charlie's team after Sabrina's departure, her father is a childhood friend of Charlie's.- Action Girl: She had some skill at unarmed combat, but not sufficient that she could reliably defend herself against a larger opponent even if she surprised him.
- Always Second Best: A downplayed example. In her introductory episode "Loveboat Angels" she frets over her newbie status in the group, and how she will never be as close to Kelly and Kris the way Sabrina was.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She's certainly beautiful, something she exploits in "Three for the Money", and she's just as intelligent as her friends. Her brawn is shown in "Angels on Campus" when she kicks a tall, brawny man over a table and holding everyone in the room at gunpoint.
- Cousin Oliver: The viewing public treated her this way when she came in to replace Sabrina.
- Cunning Linguist: She could speak Latin, as her mother taught it.
- The Fashionista: She had no trouble recognizing Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton products at a glance.
- Old Friend: Not Tiffany but rather her father, who was childhood friends with Charlie.
- Put on a Bus: In the first episode without her, Kris asked Bosley "Just the three of us on this one, Bos?" His response was "I guess so, in that Tiffany's decided to stay East for a while." No other explanation for her departure was offered.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Like her successor Sabrina, she's visibly the oldest of the trio, and while she's doesn't avert the Vapor Wear trope, she still dresses fairly conservative in comparison to her colleagues.
- Team Chef: She occasionally baked cookies and brought them into the office.

Former juvenile delinquent who eventually worked with her parole officer to expose a drug trade within the modeling industry. Later joins Charlie's team, replacing Tiffany.- Alcoholic Parent: Julie's mother was an alcoholic, which eventually killed her. Julie had to constantly deal with her mother's drinking problem while growing up, which forced her to develop a tough edge.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The redhead. Oddly enough, this trope didn't really come into effect until Julie's arrival. Sabrina was a brunette, and Tiffany a blonde.
- Contrasting Replacement Character: Unlike Sabrina and Tiffany who were policewomen (enforcers of the law) and were the eldest of the trio, Julie is an ordinary citizen with a criminal background (until her reformation), and appears to be as young, if not a bit younger, than Kris.
- Dark and Troubled Past: She grew up in a rough neighborhood with a drunken mother and an absent father, plus she was a juvenile delinquent.
- Delinquents: She was arrested a couple of times as a teenager, for (in Charlie's words) "minor things: a couple of street scuffles, disturbing the peace."
- Disappeared Dad: Her father walked out on her and her mother when Julie was too young to remember.
- Locked Out of the Loop: She's the only replacement angel to have never met Jill Munroe. She was also never spoken to about Sabrina Duncan.
- Missing Mom: According to Bosley, her mother died two years before the events of "Angel in Hiding" as a result of acute alcoholism. Her father is also missing, as he had walked out on the family when Julie was too young to remember.
- Reformed Criminal: A former delinquent and shoplifter turned model turned crime-fighter.
- Trauma Conga Line: She discovers the body of her roommate and best friend, Jodie Mills, which sends Julie into a nervous breakdown. Two days later, she arrives at the beach too late to save her other friend, Terry, from committing suicide via drowning. And to top it off, just mere seconds later, her parole officer Harry, who was like a father to her, is shot dead by mooks. At his funeral, Julie is so enraged out of her mind, she demands that the angels leave the Big Bad to her so she can personally avenge Harry's death.

- The Cutie: She's an adorable, upbeat, happy-go-lucky-blonde.
- Drives Like Crazy: The scene of her as a teenager in drivers ed shows her as this, driving the car sideways.
- Double Entendre: She's heavy on the unintentional double entendres.
- Everyone Loves Blondes: She's usually the one who serves as Ms. Fanservice and the distraction.
- Friend to All Living Things: Is seen helping a cow give birth, and knows quite a bit about bird cries.
- Geeky Turn-On: We see her wake up wearing Spider-Man underoos.
- Genius Ditz: She comes off as a bit airheaded but is able to track down the missing Bosley's location just by hearing a bird of a particular species chirp and the location of Irish mob's hideout based on particles in bird poop. The montages of the Angels' pre-Angel lives also show she was once a 5-day minimum champion on Jeopardy (first film) and has some knowledge of veterinarian procedures in the second film.
- Genki Girl: It's rare that she isn't energetic and optimistic.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has light blonde hair and is the sweetest of the Angels.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: Her first scene is her answering the door to receive a package from the mail guy, in her Spider-Man print Underoos.
- The Pollyanna: Is always the most optimistic and upbeat of the women.
- Running Gag: Her dancing skills.
- She Is All Grown Up: She was a nerd as a teenager, complete with egregious Pubescent Braces. As an adult, she's a Head-Turning Beauty.

- All Girls Want Bad Boys: The other girls get aware of this in the sequels, and lampshades it. First she (unintentionally) falls for Knox, who's secretly the Big Bad and the Thin Man in the sequel, and in her youth used to date Irish Mob boss Seamus O'Grady.
- Butt-Monkey: Suffers a lot of comical misfortune in both films, such as rolling down a hill naked and getting trapped in a stranger's backyard with only an inflatable as cover or constantly falling for the bad guys.
- Damsel out of Distress: She gets Captured on Purpose by Knox's men and tied to a chair, but she manages to free herself on her own and beat up all the Mooks while her hands are tied.
- Fiery Redhead: She has rusty red hair and does not take well to having her lighter taken.
- Good Bad Girl: She was a delinquent in her teens, smoking in a bathroom and flipping off the camera and hung around with a bad guy like Seamus, but is heroic and works to stop the true bad guys.
- Sex Goddess: She's described as a "real tomcat in the sack".
- Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She has this coloring and is a highly competent private investigator.
- Tomboy: She likes rock music, bad boys, has a bit of a temper, and is generally a lot less girly than sophisticated Alex and Genki Girl Natalie.
- Tomboyish Name: Dylan, but her real name is Helen.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She does wear skirts and dresses, including flowery ones.
- Unfortunate Names: Her name before going into Witness Protection was Helen Zass, which the other Angels immediately notice sounds exactly like "Helen's Ass".
- Witness Protection: Joined the program after turning in her ex-boyfriend Seamus of the Irish Mob.

- Academic Athlete: Flashbacks reveal Alex was both a champion gymnast and a chess player in her youth.
- Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: She's the quietest of the girls and coldly shuns attempts to hit on her from men (but to be fair, she isn't single).
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Brawn; it's Lucy Liu, so she kicks out anyone in her path.
- Brutal Honesty: She considers several ways to ease her boyfriend into the truth, but eventually decides to dump it all on him at once.
- Brainy Brunette: She has raven black hair and is by far the most educated of the bunch, even being a chess master.
- Daddy's Girl: The second film shows her dad, played by John Cleese, who she has a close and loving relationship with but who doesn't know about her life as an agent.
- Inscrutable Oriental: Subverted. She sometimes exploits the trope to distract perverts, but off-duty she is as expressive and in-tune with American social norms as her teammates.Alex: (over their radio comms, watching Natalie fail to flirt with bartender Pete) Flip your hair.

- Lethal Chef: Her blueberry muffins are so rock hard that when Dylan hits Natalie with one in the chest and it looks like it hurt. Natalie also throws one and it gets embedded in a wooden door.

- Shaking Her Hair Loose: Her trademark move, slowly for the camera.

- Rookie Red Ranger: To a degree; she only becomes an official Angel at the end of the film, but plays an important part in the crisis due to her knowledge of the system they're investigating.

- Ambiguously Bi: Sabina mentions she has an ex-fiancée but doesn't disclose their gender and shares a lot of Ship Tease with her female teammates. Being played by openly bisexual Kristen Stewart helps.
- Bifauxnen: Has a more masculine appearance than her fellow Angels due to her short haircut and strong facial features.
- Big Eater: When she's not eating, Sabina tends to think about food a lot.
- Cloudcuckoolander: She is interested in random facts, gets distracted easily, and tends to spout out whatever is on her mind, even in the middle of a fight.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: It's not really clear how much of her ditziness is an act and how much of it is Sabina. She is definitely fluent in at least two languages and a skilled martial artist and equestrian, and is more than capable of playing up her ditzy party-girl presentation to distract enemies before the fight ensues. Even the other Angels aren't really clear on what her full skillset is.
- The Lad-ette: She's a hard-partying Tomboy who likes to have fun.
- Show Some Leg: Not afraid to play up her sex appeal to distract a target or trick others into underestimating her.
- The Social Expert: She's the Beauty of the trio, despite the Bifauxnen looks, she usually the one who enjoys playing the decoy and is the most charismatic of the trio.
- We Need a Distraction: She's the master of this, employing a mix of disguises, sex appeal, Social Engineering, or just outlandish "attention-seeking behavior."

- The Big Girl: She's the Brawn of the trio, being the most physically capable Angel. Fittingly, she is much taller than Elena and Sabina.

- Big Good: The Angels all work for him and his agency is dedicated to stopping high-profile crimes, and he's as honest and charming as they come.
- Chick Magnet: Charlie frequently has a new girl entertaining (read: having sex) with him at the end of most episodes.
- Determinator: He will push himself and the angels to their limits just to solve a case. He's so determined to make sure none of the angels see his face that he goes out of his way to do dangerous things, such as picklocking his handcuffs and swimming to shore with his captors around, abandoning the angels on a remote island, etc. The only angel in the entire franchise (within the tv show and 2000s film continuity) to ever see him in person is Dylan Sanders.
- Double Entendre: You could fill a book with the number of these Charlie drops when showing off his Girl of the Week.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: Charlie is revealed to have died sometime prior the events of Charlie's Angels (2019) in light of John Forsythe's death.
- A Father to His Men: He's very kind and polite to the Angels, and got them out of unfulfilling police work and into a high-risk yet very rewarding life that the girls are very good at and find fulfilling.
- He Who Must Not Be Seen: Nobody, aside from Bosley, has ever seen him, he only communicates with his Angels through a speaker box. However, Dylan does see him at the beach from a distance (but doesn't tell the others, to respect Charlie's privacy).
- Magnetic Hero: All three of the girls stick with him because of all that he's done for them, and his charisma doesn't hurt either.
- Mysterious Employer: None of his employees but Bosley and Dylan has ever seen him, as for his own safety he prefers to stay hidden from the world, due to all the people he has put away. Though Kris and Julie unknowingly saw him, as he disguised himself as one of the doctors tending to a recently shot Kelly, his face was covered by a mask. He did speak with Kelly in person during said event, and was with her in the operating room, but because she was drifting in and out of consciousness, she never got a clear image of him.
- Nice Guy: Charlie proves time and time again to be a kindhearted man, who genuinely cares deeply for his Angels as much as any, or in some cases more than, their fathers. He's also proven to be quite charitable, to causes he believes in, and despite his dogged ways, has a sincere policy that his Angels always strive to help promote the goodness of society. Likewise should a friend come to him with a case to be solved or a wrong to be righted, he will always trust his Angels to do everything they can that the problem be dealt with on behalf of his friends.
- Only One Name: He's often referred to as Charlie, but his full name is Charles Townsend.
- Retired Badass: Former special forces.
- Secondary Character Title: The Angels work for him, hence, "Charlie's Angels", but he is never even properly seen.
- Unseen No More: In the series finale "Let Our Angel Live", while Kelly is in a coma after being shot point blank, Bosley reveals to the Angels that Charlie was in the hospital Chapel with them, and while disguised, visited a barely conscious Kelly in person to make sure she's okay. While Kelly cries happy tears knowing that Charlie was there for her, as do the other Angels, Bosley smiles looking out the hospital room, to see Charlie is still there watching over them. Though his face is covered by a mask, it is the only real look we ever get of the man.
- The Voice: Along with He Who Must Not Be Seen, we never see his face, only hearing his voice, and most of the time from behind a radio. If we do see him in "person", it's parts of his body that are holding the phone, not his actual face. Part of his face is shown in the series finale "Let Our Angel Live", but most of it is covered by a surgical mask.

- Adaptational Attractiveness: Bill Murray Bosley is tall, lean and handsome compared to David Doyle's slow, out-of-shape Bosley.
- A Father to His Men: He tended to treat The Angels as his own daughters in both the series and the 2000 film.
- Big Bad: He ends up becoming the main antagonist in Charlie's Angels (2019), having turned into a criminal after having not having been chosen by Charlie as his replacement.
- Butt-Monkey: Frequently the target of the angels' jokes and pranks.
- Cartwright Curse: Has terrible luck with women, you might just want to hug him. Any woman he deems to be 'the one' either turns out to be the Femme Fatale or a woman with crippling self-esteem who just vanishes by the next episode.
- Determinator: Like the angels, will go through hell and back in order to solve a case. Will also go out of his way to protect Charlie's identity, which apparently includes Charlie's shirt size. He even lightly admonishes Kelly in one episode for daring to ask Charlie if he's ever had children.
- Has a Type: Because he's a middle-aged man, naturally he desires older women.
- Legendary in the Sequel: By Charlie's Angels (2019), in honor of his work for the agency, the name "Bosley" was turned into a rank, used for lieutenant. Ironically, he's revealed to have become a traitor in the same film.
- Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: His Face–Heel Turn is fueled by him feeling mistreated by Charlie over not being chosen as his replacement as head of the agency, following his death.
- Non-Action Guy: Mostly serves to relay messages between Charlie and the angels, though in some occasions he will run into some action, including drawing his gun on suspects.
- Number Two: To Charlie as the chief consultant and partner of the Angels.
- Put on a Bus: He's a Sequel Non-Entity in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, neither making an appearance nor is he mentioned by the angels, despite the fact that he appeared to be beloved by the Angels in the previous film, and they never seem to miss him for even a moment — nor is his absence (and current whereabouts) ever explained. He does get mentioned by his adoptive brother, Jimmy Bosley, and their mother in one scene.

- Only One Name: We only find out that he real name is Rebekah, with her real family name remaining unknown.

- Badass in a Nice Suit: He's an expert sword fighter and assassin in a sharp suit.
- Big Brother Instinct: He has no monetary motivation to save Max in the second film; Max is just a kid from the same orphanage he's from.
- The Brute: He serves as Knox's main hired muscle in the first film.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Pale? Check. Black hair? Check. Creepy bad guy (at first)? Check.
- Fetish: The Thin Man has one for hair, yanking out some of Alex's and Dylan's and rubbing it on his face. The second film reveals he's been doing this since he was a young boy.
- Heel–Face Turn: By the second film, he ends up helping the Angels against some of their targets and doesn't interfere with their missions. He seems partly driven by the want to protect Max, a teenager in the Witness Protection program who becomes targeted after his real name is released, because Max is from the same orphanage he grew up in.
- Lean and Mean: He's quite thin and is on the Big Bad's side in the first film.
- Made of Iron: More or less. He's survived a lot of fights, great falls, and explosions that should kill any normal human being, yet is either often able to walk away from the scene or will pop up in later ones, both no worse for wear. Seamus is able to kill him for real on screen, though had the
franchise continued as planned who knows if that would have still stuck. - No Name Given: The Thin Man is only ever referred to as this (either that, or "Creepy Thin Man") for the first movie - the second movie, however, reveals that his name is Anthony, and even that name was given to him by the orphanage nuns after Saint Anthony, hero of the mute. (His surname is never given.)
- Punch-Clock Villain: It's revealed in the second film that he is monetarily supporting the orphanage he grew up in, meaning his role as a villain in the first film was likely this, since Knox was paying him. He doesn't seem to have any ill will toward the Angels either, further supporting this.
- Redemption Equals Death: After he helps the Angels and shares a Big Damn Kiss with Dylan, Seamus murders him.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Always has slicked-back hair and a nice suit on.
- The Speechless: He never speaks a word to anyone. Only screams when he gets a lock of hair. Just when he is about to speak to Dylan, he gets killed.

- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He comes off as an affable guy, and develops a relationship with Dylan, but it's all an act.
- The Chessmaster: His kidnapping is a set-up.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: Knox's hair - along with his clothes - changes from shaggy, unkempt computer geek to slick coif when we find out he's the bad guy.
- Manipulative Bastard: He stages his kidnapping to gain the Angels' trust and trick them into helping him obtain the Red Star software, so he can kill Charlie and dispose of the Angels after they are no longer useful.
- Pet the Dog: When Dylan asks him if he's also going to kill Bosley not just the Angels, he replied that he considered letting him live. After all, he likes him and his computer.
- You Killed My Father: His motive to kill Charlie; he believes Charlie was responsible for his father's death, but he's wrong. Not that he lived to find out.
- Would Hit a Girl: He has no problem with taking on the Angels in a physical fight or trying to shoot at Dylan.

- Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Doesn't look any worse for the wear after being repeatedly punched in the face by Natalie.
- Dark Action Girl: Skilled enough at hand-to-hand combat to go up against an Angel.
- The Dragon: She serves as Eric Knox's right-hand woman and helps assist him in his plans to kill Charles "Charlie" Townsend to avenge his father.
- Hate Sink: She comes off as way more smug and unlikable than Knox and the Thin Man, displaying a taunting demeanor as she goes along. Dylan ends up captured because of Vivian and she destroys Angel Natalie's phone during a fight too for no real good reason, which ticks off Natalie as she was talking to her new boyfriend Pete.
- Evil Wears Black: Post The Reveal that she's evil she starts to wear dark Hell-Bent for Leather clothing.
- Slut-Shaming: Takes joy in mocking Dylan when she finds her only in a Modesty Bedsheet at Knox's house, shaming her for having been caught in such a position by her enemies.
- Uncertain Doom: She's presumedly killed when Knox fires a missile at the fort in an attempt to kill the Angels.
- The Vamp: She attempts to seduce Bosley as part of Knox's revenge plan. He resists it, but she still manages to drug and kidnaps him.

- Hoist by Her Own Petard: In the final battle, she was kicked by the Angels, then fall through the floor breaking the flammable-gas pipe. Rage-blinded, she fired a shot as she is falling and screaming, without realizing the leaking gas. This caused a fiery gas explosion which engulfed and killed her.
- I Just Want to Be Special: After recovering from an injury from a botched mission as a result of not waiting for backup, she believed that a greater destiny awaited her, greater than taking orders via speakerbox.Charlie: Do not do this Madison. Taking the lives of innocent people is not the answer. There must be something in you that's still good.

- I Work Alone: She's a lone wolf who never cared much for teamwork, even when she was an Angel.
- Kick Chick: Prone to using kicks as her primary moves.
- Ms. Fanservice: Obviously- it's Demi Moore wearing just a bikini and fur coat. She even gets a slow-mo Sexy Surfacing Shot in her introduction.
- No Sense of Personal Space: Often invades Natalie's personal space when interacting with her.
- Pretty in Mink: She sure loves her fur coats.
- Psycho Lesbian: Given the fact that we never see her having an intimate moment with a man and later she lustfully kiss Natalie on the cheek while she has her at gunpoint she either could be this or a Depraved Bisexual.
- Satanic Archetype: Her backstory is clearly an allegory of the story of Satan. Fallen angel? Get it? Hence why she's often depicted against fiery backgrounds. At her final moment, Natalie told her to "Go to Hell", before her demise via a fiery gas explosion. Her death scene even making it look like she's literally falling straight into the pits of Hell.Madison: Why be an Angel when I can play God?

- Hate Sink: He's an Irish mobster who dated and was put away by Dylan who ended up in Witness Protection because of it. Released early from prison, he taunts and fights Dylan and threatens to kill her friends Natalie and Alex just to hurt her even more. During the climax, O'Grady kills the Thin Man by stabbing him in the back with his own blade.
- Karmic Death: O'Grady uses the Thin Man's sword to kill the Thin Man, who then falls off the roof. The Uncut version of "Full Throttle" expands Seamus' Disney Villain Death by showing he also got impaled by the same sword when he landed on the Thin Man's body which still had the sword in him sticking upright.
- Psycho Ex-Boyfriend: To Dylan. He had attempted to have her murdered for seeing him kill someone else.
