     Evicted Houseguests

Kat Yee

A bartender from Toronto, describing herself as being "nutty and honest". She was named as the replacement nominee in week one, being perceived as trying to play the game too hard and too fast.

  • Ascended Fangirl: She clearly has seen a few seasons of Big Brother U.S.
  • Noodle Incident: At first, her eviction appears to be a Diabolus ex Machina. However, her actions with Aneal make it a little more clear as to why she was likely the first person evicted.
  • The Cassandra: Told everyone about Quattro but no one believed it.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The first person evicted in the Big Brother Canada series, on day 8.

Danielle Alexander

An aspiring actress from Calgary. While she did have friends with other houseguests such as Liza and Topaz, she unfortunately became a victim of a rapidly changing plans and was the second person evicted.

Aneal Ramkissoon

A 21 year old Guyanese-Candadian who grew up in Florida, who entered the game to play a strategic game but also to gain material for his graduate thesis. He had a friendship with Kat, and had attempted to stir paranoia in the house by inventing a lie that he and Kat knew each other outside the game. (One of the reasons they probably evicted her.) Despite being part of an alliance of nine, he was deemed too untrustworthy after surviving week two. However, a surprising Audience Veto removed one of the nominees from the block, causing Aneal to be blindsided with a surprise nomination and subsequent eviction.

Thomas Plant

A firefighter from Edmonton who feared that this would get him targeted as a physical threat. He wasn't entirely wrong, as Suzette immediately placed him and Emmett on the block when she was forced to make nominations on the spot based almost entirely off of first impressions. He managed to save his alliance mate Emmett by using the veto on himself and getting Kat to be evicted. While in the house, he housed personal grudges against people like Gary and Suzette. He proceeded to let his emotions play the game for him, a move which made him very unpopular inside the house because it made him a liability willing to turn on his alliance at the drop of a hat. To this day, he is one of the few house guests who consistently ranks bottom on the ratings.

  • Disaster Dominoes: Emmett cheating in the Head of Household competition resulted in Gary being the new Head of Household, leading to Tom's nomination and subsequent eviction.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Shares this distinction with Liza.
  • Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead: The house celebrated when he was evicted.
  • The Dragon: Was seen as this to Liza.
  • Enemy Mine: With Gary, targeting the girls' alliance.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Emmett. Immediately after the two are nominated on Day 1, Tom proposes a final two deal to Emmett.
    • However, this didn't last long as Emmett ditched him the first chance he got. It definitely seemed to be the better choice.
  • Reality Show Genre Blindness: Uses personal grudges to determine who to go after.
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: Immediately assumes his physique is what got him targeted.
  • Villainous Breakdown: His last week in the house was spent plotting personal grudges and creating annoyances to the other houseguest. His alliance decides they want him out just because he will hurt them more in the long run.

Liza Stinton

A 29 year old tanning salon owner from Toronto. Described as "Fabulous, Confident, and sexy". While inside the house, she formed an alliance with Tom, a friendship with Peter, and a place in an alliance of nine. However, because Tom had managed to unite the entire house against him, Liza stayed by his side and she was subsequently targeted, with others citing her social game as the reason that she had to be evicted. This cemented her as the first major eviction people felt as a threat, arguably next to Aneal. Unlike her showmance partner, Tom, she left with grace, but still head over heels for Tom. She wanted to have a sexual night in bed with another female player,Talla. To this day, she still remains a somewhat divisive figure between those who felt she played too hard too fast and those who felt they should have given her a better chance. (Or that had she not been evicted via the Double elimination, might have had a chance to salvage her relationship with Peter.

Suzette Amaya

A woman of many trades (support worker, radio producer, motivational speaker) from Vancouver, British Columbia. She was the first person to answer the phone in the Big Brother house, being named as the first Head of Household and was forced to name two people to nominate based off of first impressions. She was nominated in week three, but was saved by Audience Participation (or was it?) letting her off the block. Ultimately, she wound up being the last evicted member of the house to not join the jury.

  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: The hockey puck shooting competition, where she breaks her own plate instead of hitting Tom's.
  • Rage Breaking Point: When Suzette destroys her own plate in the hockey veto competition, she calls her enemy Tom "a fucking redneck".
    • When Tom won the Ho H competition, Suzette was frustrated and retreated to the storage room. When Aneal (whom she was distrustful of) attempted to speak to her, she snapped and had a blazing argument with him.

     The Jury

Anuj ‘AJ’ Burman

A 32 year old Director of Business Development from Scarborough, Ontario. His strategy in the house was to get to know everybody on a personal level, and to develop a reputation as the listener. This would allow him to be able to make a lot of different observations from other people who would view him as an "in between". He was spared by a twist that allowed the Head of Household to nominate a different target (Aneal) in Week three, and was given the nickname "The Pawn Star" for always being a pawn on the block. Ultimately, he wound up being the first member of the jury.

  • Only Known by Their Nickname: AJ
  • Third-Person Person: AJ loves talking about what's happening to AJ, in the diary room.
  • Shocking Elimination: In so many ways. First, the eviction was a shock to the entire house, as it happened following a set of immediate nominations with no Veto competition. Also a shock to Head of Household Topaz, as she made it painfully clear that AJ was not her target.

Alec Beall

A 27 year old Social Psychologic Researcher from Vancouver, describing himself as "Complicated, balanced, and confident". He is a huge fan of Dr. Will from Big Brother 2, and even cites him as a reason for his inspiration. He was part of the Quattro, and formed a secret sub-alliance with Peter named "The Shyeld".

  • Ascended Fanboy: Is a big fan of Dr. Will from Big Brother 2 US.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Peter.
  • Idiot Ball: First he eliminated perpetual pawn AJ, then he "broke up" with his [[Showmance]] Topaz, then he threw a Veto competition when he was on the block and was subsequently eliminated.
  • Not Cheating Unless You Get Caught: Believes in this.
    • No Fair Cheating: Was immediately told this when he attempted to tie himself to an endurance challenge with his jacket.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: After Tom and Liza's evictions. Particularly towards Topaz.
    • He eventually Took a Level in Kindness and not only made up with Topaz but he threw a challenge just so Peter could be saved instead of him. It didn't save him from being evicted though.

Emerald "Topaz" Brady

A 27 year old Jamaican-Canadian Dental Assistant from Scarborough, Ontario. While in the house, Emerald laid low for the first half of the game, eventually emerging as the Head of Household on day 36. However, unbeknownst to her, she was forced to make her nominations on the spot. However, she was flat out told that the house could not hear her when she was making her surprise nominations, yet her every word was broadcast to the house. She announced Andrew as her target to the house, and when he survived elimination, went on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge against her and her other closest ally in the house - Gary. She managed to survive Andrew's apparent Revenge.

  • Ascended Fangirl: Has been a fan since the very first series.
  • Berserk Button: Had it pushed in week four by Tom.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: "Topaz".
  • Heavy Sleeper: Metaphorically; as the show put it: she "awoke from her slumber" to finally start strategizing with people.
  • Hidden Depths: Her memory.
  • Read the Freaking Manual: Voted for Jillian to win instead of her best friend Gary, inadvertently causing him to finish second.
  • Thinking Out Loud: When forced to instantly nominate two houseguests in her Head of Household, she verbally goes through her thought process... while the rest of the houseguests could hear her every word. To be fair, she was never actually told that the house could hear her every word.

Peter Brown

An Ascended Fanboy from New Brunswick. Peter claims to be a misanthrope, but has a very hard time demonstrating this to other people in the house. He was chosen (Alongside Aneal) by Big Brother 10 US winner Dan Gheesling as the most obvious candidate to win. He teamed up with Alec as the True Companions, and with Tom, Emmett, and Alec as the "Quattro". However, due to Tom's Villainous Breakdown, he indirectly got Tom evicted, but had to evict his other secret alliance member Liza the same day, since the entire house was once again united against a common enemy. After Alec was evicted, Peter tried to convince Jillian that he was alone and that they would be better off separating Andrew and Talla. This ultimately failed, as Peter was nominated alongside Andrew, then subsequently against Talla when Andrew removed himself from the block with the Power of Veto. In the end, Peter was ultimately voted out by his own former alliance member, Emmett.

In season two he became a co-host of the Side Show. All tropes relating to that can be placed on the main page.

Andrew Monaghan

The oldest of the contestants, an Insurance sales trainer from Halifax. He describes himself as "funny" and smart. He formed an alliance with Jillian, Emmett, and Talla, which later worked in his favour to eliminate Peter (The remaining target), but when Gary returned, was targeted as a potential threat greater than Talla when Gary managed to pull himself off of the block. Initially, he played it safe, nominating Liza and Suzette, the former of which the house was essentially united against, and the latter of which was a common target. Later on, when Topaz revealed that he was her target in the shock eviction, went on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge against her and her alliance, but ultimately spared Topaz. Secretly a 640-year-old vampire.

  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: He is forced to take on such a role in a secret challenge- mix up a nasty-tasting pot of whatever, yet have the house guests compliment him on it. He succeeds.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Lapses into this every now and then.
  • Ho Yay: Between him and AJ. As the two oldest guys in the house, they pretty much only talked to each other. Later on, during the veto competition (which AJ was playing in), contestants had to choose someone else by random draw to be their partner. Gillian pointed out in the Diary Room that almost everyone drew their showmance. Cut to AJ drawing Andrew to be his partner.
  • Nice Guy: Unless you plan to put him up as a pawn again, he's a pretty nice guy.
  • Older Than They Look: At 38, he's the oldest contestant of the season.
    • Also joked that he is really a 640-year-old vampire.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: Played for Laughs - the other houseguests joked that he's a vampire.
    • Even Big Brother got in on the fun by making his Head of Household room vampire themed.
  • Reality Show Genre Blindness: Zig-zagged. At first, he goes after Liza and Suzette, which was a safe move that would have angered less people in the house. However, later on, he lets his emotions get the better of him and tries to get Revenge on Topaz. Ultimately, he decides to use his Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Topaz to target Gary instead.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Against Topaz and her alliance.

Talla Rajaei

An independent living support student. Talla joined the alliance of nine, and used her strategy to hide under the house. Currently she is working both sides of the house, and is considered as a perfect ideal pawn.

  • Berserk Button: Being a servant and Have-Not caused her to go completely off the edge.
  • Break the Cutie: Is reduced to tears when Emmett tells her that she's going to be evicted.
  • The Cutie: She's like a little adorable kitten.
  • The Ditz
  • Elimination Houdini: Of the "On the block but dodges" variety.
  • Gasshole: According to the clip show in episode 5 Talla farts a lot!
  • Genki Girl
  • Lazy Bum: Refuses to do any sort of work upon becoming a servant, forcing Andrew to do everything.
    • However, her Backstory shows that she actually does have a work ethic - she and her twin were forced to get jobs when they were fourteen.
  • Life of the Party
  • The Load: Hasn't really won much in the way of challenges, which made her a great finals goat. She was actually legitimately trying later on.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: "I know I'm going to win this! I know I can do this!" She never does.
  • Unstoppable Rage: After being named a Have-Not.

Emmett Blois

A Dairy farmer from Nova Scotia. Initially nominated, he managed to survive. He became fast friends with Tom, then later Alec and Peter as they formed an alliance called the Quattro. This wasn't meant to last, as Emmett was caught cheating in a competition, resulting in his Head of Household status being revoked, and starting the Disaster Dominoes that ultimately lead to the house uniting against Tom and Liza. Eventually h formed an "East Coast alliance", planning to go to the final two with other houseguest Jillian. He managed to dodge elimination, winning vetoes and one head of household challenge overall.

  • Genius Bruiser: He plays chess and compares the house to chess pieces. And it's possible he's been manipulating Jillian as well.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Peter. Lampshaded during a bathtub challenge.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Planned to take Talla to the final three with Jillian because Talla was easier to beat. He instead chose Gary to take to the final two and ultimately finished third when Gary turned around and took Jillian.
  • Manipulative Bastard
  • Nice Guy: Outside of the game, he's one of the most likable guys out there.
  • No Fair Cheating: After winning Head of Household, he was found to have cheated and had his title taken away, with the competition being redone. He was not allowed to compete again.
    • This incident started the Disaster Dominoes that resulted in Tom's elimination.
    • He was caught cheating a second time at the Final 6 Veto and was disqualified, ensuring that his target, Peter, moved onto the second part of the competition.
  • Loophole Abuse: Tried to do this but failed, as he was found to have allegedly cheated in both a Head of Household and Veto competition (not during the same week).
  • Maybe Ever After: With Jillian. A lot less vague a year later, now he's her boyfriend. They're engaged by Season 4.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Seems to have a lot of female fans including Jillian's sister.
  • Official Couple: With Jillian.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Sometimes seen wearing a pink shirt.
  • The Starscream: Told Gary to put up Tom, Emmett's closest ally since Day 1, and convinced his alliance to put up Tom.
    • Tears of Remorse: Despite assisting in his elimination, Emmett is the only one to vote to save Tom.
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: Tom assumes this is also why he was put on the block.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: If he didn't cheat, Tom might not have gotten the entire house after him.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Pulls one to Peter.

     Runner-up

Gary Levy

Gary is a 21 year old and is from Toronto, Ontario. He is a fashion stylist assistant. His strategy is to use his socialization to gain information about other house guests. His fascination with glitter and clashed with a few people, causing him to be considered as a replacement nominee in week one. However, he managed to dodge that bullet when Kat was nominated instead. In week two, he was nominated directly, but removed himself after using the power of Veto. In week three, he once again found himself on the block, but was removed once more. Gary was evicted but then by a power shift Canada voted him back in the game. Gary made one of the biggest moves in the game by managing to evict both Tom and Liza in a double eviction. He would have one the season, if not for Topaz's mistake during the voting process to cause Jillian to win instead.

In season two he became a co-host of the Side Show. All tropes relating to that can be placed on the main page.

  • Back from the Dead: After Canada voted him back into the house. The other houseguests were not expecting him to return to the house, especially when they though that thew were the true final four.
  • Berserk Button: When he thinks that Talla is disrespecting him, he explodes.
  • Camp Gay: While not fully gay, he says he is leaning towards gay. He certainly dresses flamboyantly enough.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: As seen in his win in the Second Veto competition. Many of the houseguests were not expecting him to win. Gary also won an HOH during his time in the house.
  • Elimination Houdini: An objective example. Was considered being put up as a replacement nominee in week one for being annoying. In week two, he was nominated for similar reasons, but pulled himself off of the block. He was nominated again the next week but was spared when plans to blindside others came up.
    • Even though he was initially evicted and sent to the jury house, he returned to the game when there were four other players remaining due to Power Shift. (To be fair this could have happened to Alec, AJ, or Topaz as well.)
  • Enemy Mine: With Tom and Emmett. After his return, Andrew took this role.
  • The Mole: Tom mentioned that by removing Gary from the block, Gary will in turn help him and Emmett gain information from the girls' alliance.
  • Promoted Fanboy: During the second Canadian season he joined Arisa and Peter in the Big Brother Canada Side Show to discuss the game.
  • Spoiled Brat: Goes into tears after being put on slop, for the very first time!

     Winner

Jillian Maclaughlin

A teacher from Nova Scotia. She describes herself as Hyper, outgoing, and driven. She won the first head of household via competition rather than by twist, and made safe moves. She struck up a showmance with Emmett, and in between her first week as Head of Household, stayed under the radar until it was necessary to join the East Coast Alliance with Emmett. She won a total of four head of households, all of which were endurance or physical in some way. She then made it to the final two and won - only because Topaz vote for her by accident (she meant to vote for Gary).

  • Action Girl: Wins 4 Head of Households.
  • Berserk Button: Gets very angry when Peter makes a threat to turn the jury against her if he is evicted.
  • Consummate Liar
  • Genki Girl: Surprisingly. Especially around Emmett.
  • Hidden Depths: When it's an endurance competition she really puts her mind to it.
  • Hot Teacher
  • I Lied: She promised Topaz that Alec or Topaz wouldn't go up. Alec goes up alongside Peter and then alongside Topaz after Peter wins Veto.
  • Informed Ability: After his elimination, AJ says that Jillian is the person he thinks will win when, at that point, the episodes had showed little of her social and strategic game.
    • This changed once there were fewer people in the house and Jillian started to dominate competitions - and even more when she won.
  • Manipulative Bitch: How many promises did she break over the course of the show?
  • Ms. Fanservice: Lampshaded during the Power of Veto which zoomed in on her breasts.
  • No-Damage Run: Won with no eviction votes cast against her.
  • Romance on the Set: Between her and Emmett.
  • The Cobbler's Children Have No Shoes: Did not win the final math-based Veto challenge despite being a math teacher.
