* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Each of them are one of a specific medical field. WordOfGod says that with the possible exception of the mysterious Dr. Man, all of the doctors are embodiments of things used to promote health or combat illness.

* CosmicKeyStone: Every member of The Hospital’s staff is this to varying levels of importance for the entire zone, the higher authority the more vital a keystone. Each staff member allows for greater stability and clarity for The Hospital to operate on and their dwindling numbers is cited as a major source of The Hospitals growing corruption and dwindling functionality.

* ResurrectionSickness: The main doctors are much bigger concepts than grayzoners, mid-level staff, or even specialists like Dinea or Magdolene. As a result, they are much harder to bring BackFromTheDead. In the Hospital's current state, it is unable to resurrect them to their full strength from only a single recovered body part. Instead, that body part must be strengthened by items related to that doctor's field, and even then, they come back to life in a weaker and less stable state than their normal one.

* WeaksauceWeakness: Aside from Dr. Man, who is immune to {{Literal Metaphor}}s due to his connection to the grayzone, the doctors are weak against apples because of the old saying, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away".

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: As Fern notes, he wants to hurt her, but doesn't even seem to be aware of it. He is simultaneously in Fern's way by ordering that she not see her son, yet also helping her by refusing to sign off on the termination of a patient that cannot give consent to his own unexistentialization.

* SmallNameBigEgo: He ''should'' be one of the lowest ranking doctors in the Hospital (as even Fern is able to point out that Veterinary practices would be a specialist focus at best by the logic of the greater perception range), and yet his ego is more inflated than Dr. Phage's and he is convinced that ''he'' is the most ''important'' doctor in the Hospital.

* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:According to Marcy, he genuinely means well, but unfortunetely, he wasn't meant to be integrated into the Hospital as one of its doctors in the first place, which has been causing problems for both him and the Hospital.]]

* StopHelpingMe: Averted with the Bandages, during his battle with Fern. It says something about Dr. Man and his goals that even after it had gotten poisoned by the Blackish Foam, he never saw fit to dismiss the Bandages from the battlefield.
