  • Ascended Extra: Won a lottery and got featured as Tomochin's substitute in Team K's "Heart Electric" B-side, "Sasameyuki Regret".
  • Determinator: Failed AKB's 11th and 12th Generation auditions, but finally passed the 13th generation ones.
  • Identical Stranger: With Itano Tomomi, and has been called the next Tomochin, dying her hair like her and taking her part in units.

Abe Maria

Born on 29 November 1995 in Kyoto.

Iwasa Misaki

Born on 30 January 1995 in Chiba prefecture.

  • Ascended Extra: Got to rank in the 4th elections as the Next Girls center, her position descended the following year before increasing again to #49, giving her the Future Girls Centre position.
  • Cover Version: Has covered Nana Mizuki's "Eternal Blaze" and several AKB songs (notably "Flying Get" and "Koisuru Fortune Cookie") in enka style.
  • Kimono Is Traditional: In her two singles she sings enka, and wears this to keep with the traditional mood. She usually performs wearing kimonos as well if she's doing a solo.

Uchida Mayumi

Born on 27 December 1993 in Tokyo. Shes also written and published a romance novel as well as opened a yakiniku restaurant.

Kitahara Rie

Born on 24 June 1991 in Aichi prefecture. Appointed as co-captain of Team K during the 2014 shuffle.

Kobayashi Kana

Born on 17 May 1991 in Saitama prefecture.

One of three remaining second generation members, and the only one left in AKB.
  • Affectionate Nickname KK, Kana, Kacchii, Kacchan, Kanachan
  • Demoted to Extra: Despite being an original member of Team K, she's only ranked in the elections once, in 2012.
    • When she debuted, she was originally considered the ace of the second generation, but she was quickly eclipsed by members such as Oshima Yuko and Kasai Tomomi.
  • The Ditz: Known for her baka character.
  • Image Song: "Kurukurupaa" from Team K's third stage and "16nin Shimai no Uta" from Team K's fourth stage, both of which she centered.
  • Long Runner: She's the not-graduated member with most theater performances.

Gotou Moe

Born on May 20, 2001 in Aichi.

Team Ks first choice in the 2013 draft.

Shimada Haruka

Born on 16 December 1992 in Shizuoka prefecture.

Was the temporary captain of the 1st Team 4 while Oba Mina was suspended (September 2 2011 - January 4, 2012 inclusive).

  • Affectionate Nickname: Haruu, Shimagon, Urabanchou. Japanese fans also call her "Giant".
  • Ascended Extra: Was the captain of Team 4 while Oba Mina was suspended due to underage drinking.
  • Big Eater: Won an eating contest at AKB's Natsumatsuri 2014. Other members like to joke about her weight.

Shimoguchi Hinana

Born on July 19th, 2001 in Chiba.

Team Ks second choice in the 2013 draft.

Suzuki Shihori

Born on 17 February 1994 in Kanagawa prefecture.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Shihorin, Hihorin.
  • The Bus Came Back: She first became a trainee in 2008, but graduated before the 2009 team shuffle (she'd have been promoted to Team B on that shuffle). She rejoined the group on July 2010 as a trainee and was promoted to Team B on May 2011.
  • CatchPhrase: "Purple Bambi!" in 'Team B Oshi'.
  • Huge Schoolgirl: Is currently the tallest AKB member at 171cm, and can look like one when she wears a schoolgirl-inspired costume.

Suzuki Mariya

Born on 29 April 1991 in Saitama Prefecture.

Was originally promoted to Team A in 2009, but was transferred to Team B after Suzuki Shiori left. She was transferred along with Miyazawa Sae to SNH 48 at the 2012 Tokyo Dome Concert.Later, she got a concurrent position with Team A, where she was supposed to end up.

Also in SNH's 1st Generation. Currently has a concurrent position with SNHs Team SII and AKBs Team K.

Tano Yuuka

Born on 7 March 1997 in Tokyo.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Tanochan
  • Ascended Extra: She first ranked in the elections in 2012, reaching the #45 spot: this year she's raised to #38. She also managed to enter into 2013's Janken senbatsu.
    • In late 2014 she finally made senbatsu for a non-Janken single in "Kibouteki Refrain"

Nagao Mariya

Born on 10 March 1994 in Kanagawa prefecture.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Mariyagi, Yagishan, Maricha
  • Ascended Extra: She didn't rank in her first two elections, but at her third one she ranked at #39, and this year she ranked a little higher.

Matsui Jurina

Born on 8 March 1997 in Aichi prefecture.

Together with fellow SKE48 member Matsui Rena, they form the fan group "WMatsui".

Is also a concurrent member in SKEs Team S.

  • Adorably Precocious Child: She joined SKE at 11 years old and became popular really quickly. AKB's manager said that he felt she was a prodigy.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Jurina
  • Covert Pervert: Known for kissing and hugging at random other members, as long as she finds them to be cute.
  • Ill Girl: She spent half of 2012 and 2013 sick. From December 2013 to early 2014, she had issues with her eyes, causing her to wear an Eyepatch of Power or glasses during performances.
  • Image Song: Sang "Glory Days" as a solo on the "Kono Hi no Chime wo Wasurenai" album. "Suzukake Nanchara", the Janken album she centered, also counts.
  • Pungeon Master
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Rena's blue (although in "TWO ROSES" Jurina wears blue)
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: In 2008 she managed to appear by herself in the cover of "Oogoe Diamond", when she was only 11 years old and SKE was still a young sister group without any singles. Since then, she has appeared in every AKB single (except the first three Janken ones).
    • She won the first place in the 2013 Janken Tournament, and centered that year's Janken single.
  • Younger Than They Look: Debuted at 11 years old, but didn't look too much younger than Matsui Rena, who was already a grown teenager at the time.

Miyazaki Miho

Born on 30 July 1993 in Tokyo.

  • Demoted to Extra: Used to be a sembatsu member but has not been selected to perform in A-sides since 2010. She also dropped out of the rankings after the 5th General Election.
    • This year, she managed to rank again, but much lower than previously.
  • Fangirl: Of Kpop.

Yumoto Ami

Born on October 3, 1997 in Saitama Prefecture

  • Action Girl: Dressed as a ninja during the 2013 Janken Tournament and showcased a rather impressive backflip.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Yuami
  • Ascended Extra: Took part of the 34th single after getting 15th in the 2013 Janken Tournament while still a kenkyuusei.
    • Also won a lottery and got featured as Sayaka's substitute in Team K's "Heart Electric" B-side, "Sasameyuki Regret".

Yamamoto Sayaka

Born on July 14th, 1993 in Osaka.

Captain of Team N and leader of NMB. Also holds a concurrent position with AKBs Team K as of the 2014 shuffle.

  • Affectionate Nickname: Sayanee
  • Ascended Extra: Was one of the first NMB members to be featured on an AKB single (along with Milky, in the single "Everyday, Kachuusha") and ranked #14 in the latest elections, becoming the highest ranked member of NMB.
  • The Cast Showoff: She played the guitar in a band until she joined NMB, so whenever she has to perform "Jungle Gym" in a concert, she'll play the guitar live as well. Played for laughs in the group's comedy show "Geinin!": whenever she takes out her guitar is because she's going to do a comedy routine.
  • Image Song: "Jungle Gym" from the single "Junjou U-19" and "Yume no Dead Body" from Team N's 3rd Stage.
  • Important Haircut: Cut her hair short in mid 2012 as a way to show her determination to rank into senbatsu (she didn't manage to enter in 2012, reaching only Undergirls) After ranking #14 in 2013, thus becoming a senbatsu member, she's said she'll let her hair grow long again.

  • Megane: She usually wears contact lenses, but when she's not on stage she wears glasses. And she looks stunning when she does.
  • New Transfer Student: Originally from NMB from where she holds a concurrency.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The tomboy to Milky's girly girl.
  • Trickster Mentor: She can be silly at times, but she truly cares for NMB.

Yokoyama Yui

Born on 8 December 1992 in Kyoto.

Captain of Team A from of July 22nd, 2013 until February 24th, 2014 when she was moved to become captain of Team K.

On December 8th, 2014, Takahashi Minami named her as her successor as Soukantoku (general manager) of all 48 groups upon her graduation.

  • Image Song: "Mienai Sora wa Itsudemo Aoi" on Not Yet's single "Hiri Hiri no Hana", written for her after she passed the U-Can challenge.

  • New Transfer Student: She was called this as a joke when she joined AKB: she's from Kyoto (instead of somewhere near Tokyo, where most of AKB members are from), and actually auditioned for SKE before joining AKB. Also played straight, as she held a concurrent position in NMB during a few months.
  • One Steve Limit: Shares the same full name with Team 8 member Yokoyama Yui. The two have different spellings from kanji though.
