* ''Franchise/{{Transformers}}'' has a couple of particularly weird variants. First off, there's guys like Transquito, who can spit out a ''missile''. Secondly, there's Nightscream and his teeth-on-a-string trick from ''Beast Machines''. Finally, there's guys like ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars'' Megatron and Cheetor's Transmetal form, who can fire energy blasts from their alt-mode's mouth in robot mode, which uses said mouth as a hand, but don't seem to have the ability in beast mode for whatever reason.
** Unicron fires a green-blue plasma-like ray of energy from his robot head mouth in ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie'', and has a powerful tractor beam in his planetoid-mode mouth.
** In ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'', Starscream's head can fire a beam now due to the Allspark fragment in his face.
** Is there a continuity the Dinobots have appeared in which they HAVEN'T had a breath weapon? DinosaursAreDragons, after all.
** Trypticon gains a powerful mouth laser in ''VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron''.
** The Predacons of ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'' are also able to breathe fire.
** Subverted in that many Transformers with beast modes, even ones based off of mythical beasts like dragons (Snapdragon, Hun-Gurr, Sinnertwin, etc), don't have breath/mouth weapons. Sky Lynx has a laser cannon in his dinobird section's mouth but no weapons at all in his lynx section.
* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' allows the ElementalPowers of air (of course) and fire to be used as breath weapons, and the characters who most often do this aren't particularly atavistic.
-->'''Iroh:''' [[PreAssKickingOneLiner Did I ever tell you how I got the nickname the "Dragon of the West"]]?
-->'''Azula:''' I'm not interested in a lengthy anecdote, Uncle.
-->'''Iroh:''' It's more of a demonstration, really. *takes a sip of his tea, then breathes fire while turning in a circle*
** Katara and other water benders can use their breath to cause water to freeze, though they can also use their hands and stances to make ice.
** Angry spirit Hei Bai fires an energy beam out of his mouth.
** In ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'', Korra herself occasionally utilizes fire breath, either out of sheer rage or to compensate for her limbs being restrained.
* Blossom of ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' breathes ice.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'': Homer briefly gained this after eating a flaming stick he mistook for a shish kebab and then getting tricked by Bart into drinking lighter fluid. [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/040_1001.jpg He wasn't happy, to put it mildly.]]
* Puff of the ''WesternAnimation/StaticShock'' RoguesGallery.
* In a variant, Metlar from ''WesternAnimation/{{Inhumanoids}}'' had hot lava inside his mouth, which he would scoop out by the handful and throw at opponents.
* ''WesternAnimation/GodzillaTheSeries'' has Zilla, Jr. breathe a green atomic breath, whereas Cyber-Zilla has the traditional light blue.
* WesternAnimation/{{Gumby}}'s pals Prickle, being a dragon/dinosaur hybrid, can spew plumes of flame. Goo and Denali have SuperSpit.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' has dragons breathing fire, of course, but Spike's fire has some [[MundaneUtility pretty unusual properties.]] Scrolls consumed by his ([[TechnicolorFire green]]) fire breath are teleported to Princess Celestia, and she can send mail back in the form of an involuntary belch of Spike's fire.
* In ''[[WesternAnimation/{{Thundercats 2011}} [=ThunderCats (2011)=]]]''
** BigBad SorcerousOverlord Mumm-Ra can breathe hot pink PureEnergy blasts while in his OneWingedAngel form.
** PaperMaster Gami can fold a giant [[ArtInitiatesLife animate]] paper dragon, which alternately breathes a [[BlowYouAway powerful wind]] or [[TechnicolorFire purple]] bursts of [[PlayingWithFire fire]].
* Lazerette from ''WesternAnimation/SkysurferStrikeForce''.
* In an episode of ''WesternAnimation/ClueClub'', D.D. and Pepper eat garlic to fend off a vampire chasing them. Pepper says "H-h-h-h-h-h-h-i!" to Woofer and Wimper, and they collapse from the fumes.
* WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck, in the cartoon "China Jones," ask a lovely Chinese woman why she's called the DragonLady. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv-bw5jdm9s He finds out.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Kaeloo}}'': Bad Kaeloo can breathe out blasts of air that can send people flying.
