A couple of fans on Youtube have created 8-bit versions of the songs, such as this one.
Ponyphonic's passionate, slowed-down version of Winter Wrap-Up deserves special mention.
On the subject of remixes, this Mashup of Winter Wrap Up and Miku's 'Torinoko City' is amazing. As the top comment puts it 'It is very addicting and strange. 'the melody doesn't seem 'easy' many times yet it just...works.'

In some alternate reality where a more ruthless Rarity clawed her way to the top of the business world and rules her corrupt, industrialized empire with an iron hoof, Art of the Industry would be her Leitmotif.
This video blends a song from Doug Walker's "To Boldly Flee" movie with the Cutie Mark Crusaders song. Best of all? Doug Walker himself approved of this!
On that note, Dr. Wily Invades Equestria - a fusion of Megaman and Winter Wrap-Up.
What happens when you combine and remix "Winter Wrap Up" and "At the Gala"? This.
This Genesis-styled remix of the main theme, as well as ones for Winter Wrap-Up and especially this Sonic credits-styled Season 1 melody.
"At the Gala" has been transposed beautifully into C minor.
Fluttershy's "Hush Now, Quiet Now" lullaby has been remixed more then once:
This version by Aftermath, which has a very techno feel to it. Also, try not to freak out when Fluttershy blinks at the end.
VS PSYCHOSHY, by Renard; this remix sounds like it would fit perfectly as the BGM for a final boss battle in an 8-bit NES game.
Dash at the Gala.
Winter Wrap-Up 8-Bit Boss Battle remix.
An awesome remix of "Find A Pet"
An On a Cross and Arrow duet of The Smile Song.
The Clanky Donkey 2000 from Interrobang Pie - a chiptune remix of Yankee Doodle Dandy (present in the credits of A Friend in Deed) like only Interrobang can do them.

Interrobang does it again, this time with the music of the duet between Cadence and Chrysalis.
The "This Day Aria"? Great. The galiant609 symphonic metal remix? AWESOME!
Woody's piano rendition of "This Day Aria" will blow you away.

And this is what happens when you combine "Love is in Bloom" with "His World".
Have a listen to Melodicpony's beautiful orchestral cover of the already amazing Love Conques All from "A Canterlot Wedding".
Nuclear Changeling Fusion. Two memetic and musical juggernaut franchises that were clearly meant to be together.
For an artist with only this one single song to date, this remix of Discord's leitmotif is amazing.
This Day Aria Rock! Definitely worth a listen, even if you aren't a rock fan, and the PV...
A Colt Version of Cadence and Chrysalis, with Shining Armor and a male version of Chrysalis. The changes to make it fit are awesome!
Arche's remix of " Love is in Bloom" (extended version here) turns the catchiness of that song Up to Eleven.
This remix does a great job depicting the true cold-hearted nature of the Flim-Flam Brothers, with a steampunky dash to it.
Waltz of Ridiculous Sentiments.
General Mumble's creepy remix of This Day Aria, which fits Chrysalis perfectly.
Who's A Silly Pony (Rock Cover), especially if you're an Applejack fan.

Team Fortress 2 Mash-ups
So, there we were, the Bronies, minding our own business on Youtube one day, when out comes this guy we'd never heard of before, "Ponyphonic", who proceeds to blow our minds with a Villain Song for Nightmare Moon named " The Moon Rises". With its Ominous Latin Chanting and For Doom the Bell Tolls, it gives us one heck of a number for Luna's fall from grace.
And, now, after a 5-month hiatus, we have a sequel to the above. There are no words to describe precisely how amazing " Lullaby for a Princess" is. It basically takes everything that was good about "The Moon Rises" and brings it Up to Eleven, in addition to the song being more than twice as long. It is Celestia's tearful, sorrow-filled song about her failure to see the depth of her sister's depression, a lullaby for Luna as she is banished to the Moon; it really drives home the notion that the punishment for the sisters' disharmony was twofold: one was banished for a thousand years, while the other was left to forever lead a kingdom, separated from the only one who could possibly relate to her. This time the voice artist is female, Christina Larson.
Then someone else made Luna's reply, which follows the same music, but from Luna's perspective. It shows Luna comforting Celestia by saying that Luna's actions were her own fault and that Celestia acted just as she was supposed to. It's a good mirror, and several fans have put the two songs together as a duet.
Then, this cover of "The Moon Rises". Just....this. Listen, and enjoy.
Coconeru's Rule 63 cover, "Lullaby for a Prince.
And now ponyphonic is back with Twilight's Journey. A song describing Twilight's ascension to alicorn-hood and her saying goodbye to her old life. Tear-jerking, and yet hopeful, too. Honestly, you could make a musical with all of these songs.
This (also found here) is a good song for Nightmare Moon and Luna, due to the lack of words and the title it's hard to tell if it's leaning to one or the other.
This is a dubstep song called Luna's Fury. Given the choice voice clips and the emotion in the title, it's safe to assume this is about Nightmare Moon.
Derpedety's infamous "Dash's Empty Sky", as well as his Derpy's Journey series.
Also by Derpedety, is this. Haunting, melancholy, and beautiful.
Eurobeat Brony's Super Ponybeat series, which Ingram himself has praised! These remixes are among the most popular in the fandom, and Eurobeat Brony even wrote original songs based on Princess Luna and Discord, which are both pretty awesome.
AcousticBrony's original Leitmotifs of the show's characters are all amazing, using snippets of music from the show to create perfect character themes. Here's Fluttershy's, Rarity's, Rainbow Dash's, Twilight's, and even one for the Wonderbolts!
As scary as it is, a few dedicated fans have taken the Grimdark as Buck fanfic Cupcakes to heart, and gone so far as to begin making a musical version of it, including songs with fanvoices that sound remarkably like the real characters, such as this one.
Something Broke, a 20-minute progressive rock song about the fic, is just about as awesome as it sounds, regardless of whether or not you liked the fic. And if that weren't awesome enough, Tarby (the artist who created it) has revealed that it was only a demo track, and the final version will be the opener for a 14-track concept album he's working on.
The Dark Reprises of "Art of the Dress" and "Cupcakes" are especially chilling.
note Pony Swag from Swagberg and Maros. Careful; it has a fair amount of swearing in it.
Applejack's Stage Theme from the upcoming Mane6 fangame, My Little Pony Fighting Is Magic. It's part original, part epic remix of AJ's line from "Winter Wrap-Up". And you thought RainbowCrash88 only did 8-bit remixes!
For The New Lunar Republic! FOR LUNA!
By the mind that brought us the original Lunar Republic tune: Hydra Pulse.
Rainbow Factory is a serious Ear Worm, especially when the violins kick in. Definitely not good for someone who wants to forget about the fanfic of the same name it inspired, but other than that, it's worth a listen or two... or three.... or twenty.
Even background ponies get catchy fan-made themes, like Carrot Top's " Beyond Her Garden".
And Beyond her Tomb, a rap by Mic the Microphone based on it. A borderline Tear Jerker as well, when you take the lyrics and the story into account...
Picture Perfect Pony, an awesome dance track sampling her party music to make a fantastic theme describing her perfectly.
How about No Strings Attached, theme of Octavia? Powerful, grand, epic, puts many final boss themes to shame!
And this orchestral rock remix of it.
Cherry Jubilee's theme, "Fruits of her labor" shows running a cherry ranch isn't easy, but it's damn well catchy! ...wait, What?
Love me, Cherilee!
I am proud to be a brony!
Nightmare Night. Just take a listen.
Best part? For all the dislikers of rap out there, there is now an instrumental.
Now with rock version.
Also an SFM version animated by Ferexes.
Glaze is not the only one to make Nightmare Night-themed music - AcousticBrony and MandoPony have tried their hoof at it together, with great results.
Balloons In My Basket A song celebrating Pinkie's utter irreverence. The song uses voice samples and they're matched perfectly. Dare you to say this doesn't give make you at least grin.
All you have to do is take a cup of PONY, add it to the mix...
All of the songs so far in : Friendship is Witchcraft "Art of the Mattress" (aka The Sleep Song), Pinkie's Orphanage Song, "Pinkie's Brew" (which even has an extended version), "Sweetie's Big Race", "Princess of the Night", and "The Gypsy Bard" . Just note that since they're part of an note Abridged Series, they don't always make sense out of context.
"Let Your Mane Down", by d. notive. A beautiful techno song about the precious relationship between Rarity and Sweetie Belle.
A vocal theme for Rainbow Dash; "Cerulean Blue".
The Want it Need it spell, works everytime from the same person who brings you "No Strings Attached".
This cover by Miu, arguably even better than the original. Want it... need it... want it... need it...
Jackle App makes a seasonal theme music for non main characters like Lyra and Bon-Bon (Summer), Gilda (Winter), and Ditzy and Dinky (Autumn). Special note to Gilda's song, it's a tearjerking interpretation on what happens after "Griffon the Brush Off".
Among other things, a theme for Pinkie's Party Cannon.
Check out cinematic orchestra theme music MADE SPECIALLY FOR PONIES by Bagpipe Brony, Dr Dissonance, Jeffthestrider, and Makkon.
Equestrian National Anthem. Bonus for being a parody of the USSR national anthem.
Bagpipe Brony's I Will Rise (Trixie's Return Theme). Inspired by other Awesome Music: Globus's "Preliator". This version has an Ethereal Choir instead of actual singers but it is still epic.
The fanmade background music for the audio adaptation of the is all very well done, and goes especially well with the project as a whole..
Pony POV Series The theme song of the Reharmonized Series, "We'll Make It Through (Elements Of Harmony" is even more awesome, by virtue of having the mane six and the two Sixth Rangers all singing together.
Fillies and Gentle-colts, somepony had the time and effort to make the Equestrian National Anthem. UNITE OUR HERD AS ONE GROUP STRONG!
Omnipony's fanmade theme for Twilight Psycho - Time Is Running Out - conveys an epic sense of urgency and chaos. CLOCK IS TICKING!
Deae Lunae by Makkon. Just... have you listened to it?!
This fanmade Villain Song for Discord.
She Am Sky. Regardless of the glaring assault and battery to grammar in the title, it is a fast-paced and somewhat ethereal song, fitting for dashing through the sky at breakneck speed...
The Fall. a sweet song about the falling scene in Secret of my Excess.
The Vinyl Scratch battle theme by Mandopony
And now Braeburn has his own little ditty. "Wild West Dance" by Bass Rabbit
Apparently Vinyl Scratch and Luna are friends, as evidenced by, "The Chill Room At Club Luna".
My Little Pony: The Mentally Advanced Series has some good music from its Spinoff Rainbow Dash Presents such as Rainbow Fun Factory and Pinkie Pie being hooked on a feeling
And on that note, "Gunna Eatcha Brains" from Pony Dot Mov (WARNING:Not for the faint of heart). Love it or hate it, you'll be humming it all day after one viewing.
When life gives you lemons, PUNCH IT IN THE FACE! says Iron Will!
Vinyl Scratch Opens For A Race. A Wonderbolts race perhaps?
H8_Seed, or TheUlasht (whom you may know as the artist who created Neverending Strife above), has recently taken to creating songs about the mythical creatures of the Friendship Is Magic lore. Here is one about a race for your life against a Manticore. Here's another written from the point of view of the lethal Cocka trice!
The Derpinator is wacky enough to fit Derpy, but badass enough to be a battle theme.
She's Mistress Zecora.
Shadow Archon Battle theme, a pretty nice original piece inspired by the fanfic Through The Eyes Of Another Pony.
Twilight Sparkle is the final boss!
Wily is not the only one who can invade Equestria - King Dedede joins in! (A chiptune fusion of StormWolf's The Beginning of Order and Dedede's theme).
And now even Cirno, that baka, joins in the fun in this tribute to Interrobang Pie. (A chiptune fusion of Glaze's "She's A Pony" and Cirno's theme).
And Interrobang Pie. Even though the song is not by him...
This eerie, mechanical-sounding tune.
Screwball loves her daddy... (Almost counts as a Ponified Song as well, since it by the composer's own admission inspired by Phantom of the Opera.)
Mayor Mare now has her own theme song.
"Octavia's Overture" by The Living Tombstone, especially Kujiro's cover
Both versions of The Beginning of Order (The end of Equestria) by StormWolf are catchy as hell, despite copious amounts of Draco in Leather Pants and Ron the Death Eater involved.
How about Peak Freak's original rock song, "Help Me"?
A crossover with the SCP Foundation, SCP-Equestria.

Discord's Game, delicious Discordstep.
Another nice one for Discord.
Just in case you've gotten bored of EurobeatBrony's The Villain Sucks Song for Discord, have this great one by Hergest Ridge, executed in the style of Primus. Although it's more of a The Villain Rules Song!
This song, appropriately named " Leeroy Jenkins!"
What if Equestria had guns and dealers? Presenting, GunCakes.
Radiarc's orchestral villain themes.
Rainbow Rapsody, It has no words, so you can't really tell it's a pony song from sound alone.
This song set to the theme of Inspector Gadget. Doesn't seem to be more than just the word "brush" repeated over and over for three minutes.
Lost on the Moon.
My Cadence. Beautiful duet between Shining Armor and Cadence. The vocals nail the voices down perfectly.
Spoiled Rotten, theme of... guess who. Starts out like a classical tune, and then the wicked techno starts seeping in, very emblematic of Diamond Tiara's pseudo-elegant demeanor which gives way to a nasty personality whenever she finds someone to bring down.
Going batshit insane has never been so danceable.
Legacy of Star Swirl screams out "final boss."
On screen for under 3 seconds? No problem, we got a theme for you. (Mildly NSFW lyrics.)
What's beyond the gates of Tartarus?

No one leaves the Hive.
Lyra singing about Anthropology.
Hooves Up High by Silva Hound and Rina-chan.

What if Twilight had failed to stop King Sombra?
This song is the perfect love note from Derpy to all of us—that it is great to be different!
Carbon Maestro has made a number of beatiful and fantastic works with sounds similar to that of classical music and symphonic metal. Pony Empires is about the country of Equestria with a number of the other kingdoms and tributes to some of the characters. It's over an hour in length but well worth listening to.
There is a severe lack of awesome songs based on Sombra, so this comes as a godsend.
What You Hoped To Find, a DnB song about Trixie and the Alicorn Amulet.
The Way She Flies, the impressively awesome song by Phileo about Rainbow Dash. Bonus points for also being his debut.
SoGreatAndPowerful. His work's a bit nichey, but there's a reason there's an entire tribute album dedicated to him. Note that he tends to unlist most of his music shortly after uploading to Youtube - this playlist is very useful.
PonyEveningStar, an immensely talented duo who have produced an incredible array of Orchestral and Dance themes, such as Beautiful Night and City in the Sky.
dBPony has taken the concept of "Daddy Discord" (see the Sand Josieph example above) and remade it into a really awesome rock song of the same name. It even references Eurobeat Brony and The Living Tombstone's versions of Discord!

Atomizer by Furries in a Blender becomes Atomizer by The Living Tombstone feat. ibeabronyrapper.
Someone created a parody of Owl City's "Fireflies" titled "Fluttershys", and it was kind of sweet. And then a girl with a very nice voice sang it, and it became incredibly sweet. And THEN, this music video was made. Congratulations, you now have diabetes.
It gets better. That girl with the nice voice? She made a version of the song with "Hush Now, Quiet Now" mixed in. It isn't quite as long, but it's still amazing to listen to.
This same girl also did a cover of another Brony's parody of the Mulan song "Make a Man Out of You".
A brony wrote a version of Jafar's Villain Song "You're Only Second Rate" for Discord. The writing is pretty good and their singing is pretty good as well, they just need an instrumental version of the song to set it to and it'd be completely awesome!
Another group set it to music and made a music video with it. Not only is it much better with music, the video is quite well done.
Using the Gorillaz Feel Good Inc. to retell Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy's cutie mark story? Nah, it could never work!

The Pony Mash! "It's an equestrian smash!"
While not purely a ponified song, considering ponies are only mentioned a couple times in the song, this parody of "Beat It", called Tweet It definitely deserves a mention. Why? Because not only are the lead vocals sung by those like Michelle Creber (Apple Bloom) and Andrea Libman (Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy), but there are cameos from a large number of the MLP cast and crew, plus some bronies. Now THAT is some epic collaboration between a show's crew and a fandom, and shows just how close the bronies and staff have become.
This cover of MJ's "Thriller" also features Michelle Creber.
