!! ''The Philosopher's Stone''
* The magically memorable [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Li0SWlwe34 "Hedwig's Theme"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7z8HGXVR80 "Prologue"]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUDXQVWWH2I "Harry's Wondrous World"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSirpFmo3MU "Change of Season"]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCH6v1asSoc "Christmas at Hogwarts"]] are all beautiful tracks that bring out a sense of joy and wonder to the viewer.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXyl76KGcWY "Arrival of Baby Harry"]] is a lovely medley that is filled with mystery and awe.
* The exciting piece during the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJZvaloLaCA Quidditch match.]] The sinister motif of Voldemort within the track along with the victorious variant of "Harry's Wonderous World" are also great.
* One of the most beautiful and magical pieces of Harry Potter music was [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvXuuZfZs7U the cue heard in Diagon Alley]]; for some reason, it wasn't included on the soundtrack album.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSb7mOk_UvU "Leaving Hogwarts"]], played at the end of ''Philosopher's Stone''. [[spoiler: It also made a return for the DistantFinale of ''[[Film/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows Deathly Hallows Part 2]]''.]] As awesome as that was, there are some who think [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aQEcHwRCmo "Reunion of Friends"]] from ''Chamber of Secrets'' would've been a much better fit for the finale.

!! ''The Chamber Of Secrets''
* The sinister and mysterious [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfXM1jW7y_Y "The Chamber of Secrets".]]
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ck2vCkz3ThQ exciting and cheerful music]] when Ron and Harry travel on the flying car towards Hogwarts.
* The heartwarming and graceful theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBUr6Qr_gRU "Fawkes the Phoenix".]]
* Dobby's playful [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ac6tYjGIvA theme]].
* The epic [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHr_1ff9cqY and intense piece]] that plays during Harry's battle with the mighty Basilisk.

!! ''The Prisoner Of Azkaban''
* The comedic [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTrd6NHVwTM "Aunt Marge's Waltz".]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR9kT8PL6ZA "Buckbeak's Flight"]] is a graceful and epic track that really captures the beauty of flight.
* The serious and chaotic music during the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNJDb2jGAEs Quidditch match]].
* The heartbreaking yet beautiful [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrZB9nPMvS4 "Window to the Past".]] The flutes used within the piece are lovely as well.
* Also [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvnUYeGM3qw "Double Trouble"]]. It's one of those moments when you realize that the series is getting DarkerAndEdgier. The music is by Williams, but the lyrics are by Creator/WilliamShakespeare (from ''Theatre/{{Macbeth}}'').
* The ethereal [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRiaIIivaKs "Patronus Light"]].

!! ''The Goblet Of Fire''
* Patrick Doyle's music for [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqnm3Kmubgk the Quidditch World Cup]] opening. It goes from a light Irish-sounding tune and moves to a men's choir.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tmeTNGQCOU "The Story Continues"]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRV_q7y8uwc "Golden Egg"]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whJ10dsWF2c "The Black Lake"]] are all epic pieces.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEAHx6-KTgI "Harry in Winter"]]. Absolutely gorgeous. And it's great as a leitmotif, too. God bless you, Patrick Doyle.
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK0yvpoEeOI tragic music]] during [[spoiler: the death of Cedric]].
* Outside of scores, though, the Weird Sisters' music is great, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l5ACTUo37g "Magic Works"]] being a perfect slow dance song that sounds like something out of a Creator/JohnHughes movie from TheEighties.

!! ''The Order Of The Phoenix''
* John Williams wasn't the only one who could do CrowningMusicOfAwesome for the Film/HarryPotter films. Exhibit A: Nicholas Hooper's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55QDkd-ecks "Fireworks"]]. The ''Harry Potter'' films have ''never once'' had bad music in them.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlG3xXoR3ZE "Flight of the Order of the Phoenix"]], while Harry is being escorted to Grimmauld Place at the beginning of the fifth movie, definitely deserves a mention.
* The emotional yet uplifting theme of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZane0CwAGg Dumbledore's Army]].
* The [[https://youtu.be/5sMht-9S91o?t=1m30s badass music]] that plays when the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore's Army battle the Death Eaters in The Department of Mysteries.
* The ominous and emotional [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyAEScrkWv8 "Possession"]].

!! ''The Half Blood Prince''
* The music in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InbY9rHMee0 beginning]] of ''Half Blood Prince'' when the Death Eaters fly through London and [[spoiler: destroy Diagon Alley along with Millennium Bridge]], as well as the music in the slow-motion scene of the photographers taking all the pictures of Harry and Dumbledore. Later on in the film, the panning shot over Hogwarts to Draco in the tower as it snows outside is great, and so is the music at the very end when the trio look out from the tower into the sunset.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvzBTL0MslE "Journey To The Cave"]]. Just this bombastic piece as Harry and Dumbledore arrive at Voldemort's Horcrux cave.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySvXYETgOws "Harry and Hermione"]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIIB7CntzOo "When Ginny Kissed Harry"]] are both simply beautiful.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeVyvwThCd8 "Dumbledore's Farewell"]]. It is also used in the scene where Harry views Snape's memories in the Pensieve. It's heartbreakingly beautiful.
* The victorious and exciting music when Ron is winning [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA8KDCMZ7_w Quidditch]]. It's a ShoutOut to the other Quidditch music from ''Prisoner of Azkaban''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4iz1umJB7k "The Friends"]] is a simply heartwarming piece.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cebne3MTloU "Malfoy's Mission"]] is both unsettling and heartbreaking.
* Nicholas Hooper created some amazing music found in a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ro-vL4KLDY deleted scene]] from ''Half-Blood Prince''.

!! ''The Deathly Hallows Part 1''
* Creator/AlexandreDesplat's score for ''Deathly Hallows Part 1'' has some fantastic moments as well. The music at the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RkRlgYGdbY very beginning]] when Hermione [[spoiler: erases her parents' memories of her]] is heartbreaking, and really captures the feel of that scene, impressing upon the audience that this the beginning of the end of the series. The music when we open to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcpXjt5X58Y Malfoy Manor]] is very sinister, and the music when [[spoiler: just Harry and Hermione]] are in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO20nLhcyFg Godric's Hollow]] is unlike much of the other music in the series... Desplat uses Spanish guitar. And it is beautiful. Oh, and the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WytIaqO8pU music]] when [[spoiler: Bellatrix throws the knife at Dobby as he proceeds to Apparate himself, Harry, and Hermione out of Malfoy Manor, which results in his death upon arrival at the beach]] is dripping with anticipation. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZjy6NBzSGE track]] during [[spoiler: Dobby's death]] is a definite TearJerker.
* What may be the most awesome of SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic in the Harry Potter films; Music/NickCave and the Bad Seeds' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htnz4Kxu83Q "O Children"]]. An amazing song for an amazing scene.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zmEgXCTevk "The Sky Battle"]] is both epic and exciting.

!! ''The Deathly Hallows Part 2''
* If you thought the score for the first film was good, Creator/AlexandreDesplat outdid himself in ''Part 2''. Just listen to the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cbeb9sdjS4 "The Tunnel"]], music matching the fast-paced ride through Gringotts, and ''especially'' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_efSI5_UCxo "Statues"]],[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaxkSlvwzpo "Courtyard Apocalypse"]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVCXjuf1biY "Battlefield"]], similar heartbreaking yet inspirational pieces used during the Battle of Hogwarts.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI_9kZ2qZNE "Lily's Theme"]]. Almost silent, and still epic. Portraits perfectly the beginning of the very end of the series. It screams "It's almost over now..."
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Wr_gHGm3oc "Dragon Flight"]], in the scene where the trio escapes on the Dragon, it combines some notes from Hedwig's theme and Lily's theme, giving that "fly to freedom" feeling.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSnCRXz7NTM Severus and Lily]]" is a beautiful and heartbreaking piece.
* Another powerful piece, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmJGReXqEpU "Procession"]], is heard in the end-half of ''Deathly Hallows Part 2'' when Voldemort is returning to Hogwarts' courtyard with his remaining followers and Hagrid, who is carrying [[spoiler: a seemingly dead]] Harry. The atmosphere just gives out utter sorrow and hopelessness after the fatal battle.
* On the flip side, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HxK1LNZa14 A New Beginning]] from ''Deathly Hallows Part 2'' has an ethereal feel that embodies the sound of hope. As Harry and friends look to the future, there is a sense of peace at last.
* The uplifting and heroic [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9JEvTDspTM track]] during Neville's speech.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJewawE6DGU "Voldemort's End"]] is an epic and emotional track that is used during the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort.

!! ''Other''
* The [[VideoGame/HarryPotter video games]] have some pretty good music, too.
** Case in point, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wPaqr4zqJc this boss theme]] from the ''Sorcerer's Stone'' Game Boy Color game and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSeP9lOXVxw its remix]] in ''Chamber of Secrets''. The track is also played in the [=PS1=] Philosopher's Stone as [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZeBuGLDxvA Malfoy's Theme]].
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEoXaNUhFc4 music]] that plays when you're fighting the Basilisk in ''Chamber of Secrets'' is epic, complete with a Latin choir.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwaLGCV58w0 Diagon Alley music]] in ''Chamber of Secrets.''
** For another fan favourite track from the video games, check out the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3RSRWInyUk Quidditch Anthem]].
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4MNAs1SXug main theme]] from ''Prisoner of Azkaban''.
** Considering that the soundtrack for the games were composed by '''Music/JeremySoule''', it's no wonder they're so amazing.
** The ''Order of the Phoenix'''s "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFEfxu5TgNw Dumbledore and Voldemort]]" by James Hannigan. The awesome riff is also found in "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m79Y_6M07o0 Wand Combat]]".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg5s3URmfag "Magic Through Time"]], a song that would have worked great as a credits song for the final movie.
* ''Officially'' unreleased, Music/BruceSpringsteen originally did a song for the first movie's soundtrack that was vetoed due to J.K. Rowling's rule against commercial songs. It took 16 years for the demo recording of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8DmqstN9g0 "I'll Stand By You Always"]] to reach the public, but the slow beauty of the track and sense of nostalgia and finality made it worth it.
