To show his true courage, Link must fight the darkness within himself.
  • Link personifying a One-Man Army by facing the remnants of Ganon's army throughout the whole game and winning.
  • Through Gameplay and Story Integration as we play, we can see that Link Took a Level in Badass and still does so as he keeps fighting Ganon's army. He can learn sword moves and do magic spells, and yet the gameplay shows that his whole fight against Ganon's forces is his main source of strength as he gets better at taking and giving damage while also learning how to focus his magic.
  • While not the only Link to know magic since following ones can use it, this is the first Link who introduced the concept and the only one who took it to its fullest by learning spells throughout the game, making them integral to his fighting style. While still fitting under the Magic Knight category with the other Links, this one also counts as The Archmage due to his ability to use elemental fire and lightning magic, enhancing his defense and agility, reflect magic attacks, transform into a fairy, and reveal invisible things.
  • Ganon making Link's life a living hell by having his followers with Undying Loyalty try to kill Link and use his blood to resurrect him. Get a Game Over and you'll see Ganon's silhouette while he laughs at you.
  • Link's trekked across the land, survived forests and deserts and even walked on water, all to deliver six crystals bequeathed to him by an ancient king. He's beaten the Thunderbird and then faced off with his own shadow. The moment when the Triforce of Courage descends into his hands, marking him forever and always as the Chosen One, is definitely a CMoA.
    • The fight with Thunderbird itself, in which you blast Thunderbird with the Thunder spell.
    • On a similar note, the very first Dark Link fight in the entire series. To prove himself worthy of the Triforce of Courage, Link must do battle with his own darkness and come out on top. Assuming you don't just abuse the corner exploit, it's you versus your dark equal in one-on-one combat. No fancy tricks, no gimmicks, not even any Bottomless Pits; just a full-on swordfight with one of the toughest foes in the entire game. And of course, Link still triumphs.
  • The second the magic barrier dissipates and Link enters the Great Temple accompanied by the atmospheric music makes for an awesome scene.
  • Link using the completed Triforce to wake Princess Zelda from her long slumber.
    • It is implied that since Link was just given the Triforce of Courage that he already had the Triforce of Power and the Triforce of Wisdom with him the entire time. Becomes a reminder that the Triforce of Power is his battle trophy from killing Ganon.
    • Link showing us what the Triforce can really do by fulfilling a wish. It's one of the few times the players see the Triforce in action and it is glorious.
    • The ending where Zelda congratulates Link is more awesome when you realize this is the last game in the Decline timeline. After suffering under Ganon for so long, Link finally brought peace to Hyrule forever.
  • And of course, there's you. Yes, you. This game's difficulty is legendary, but it's tough but fair. When you've figured out the key to defeating every single one of its Boss in Mook Clothing enemies, tried everything everywhere until you discovered the path forward, and finally triumphed, especially if you do it with little or no help from the Internet, cheats, or things emulators let you do like saving wherever you want to avoid Continuing is Painful, finishing it like the 80s and 90s kids did, you will feel like a god, and you will know you've earned that feeling!
