Awesome: Who Do You Think You Are?
  • Many of these usually occur when the celebrities trace ther roots back far, and have very complete and interconnected family trees.
  • Perhaps the two biggest crowning moment are during the Series 4 Sir Matthew Pinsent and Series 7 Alexander Armstrong episodes, during which both of them are able to trace their lineage back to the 15th century and powerful families and nobillity (particularly Armstrong, who is descended from Dukes and whose family STILL owns land in Northumberland). But then they are told they can go back even further, and great scrolls are brought out (and grand music begins playing) which reveals them both to be descendants of William the Conquerer, the man who changed Britain forever when he led the Norman invasion in 1066!
