* Although it is heartbreaking to see two former comrades fighting, the second fight between Wheeljack and Hot Shot in episode 32, Past II is still pretty impressive. Wheeljack, the former Autobot turned Decepticon arrives to settle his score with Hot Shot, the robot who abandoned him in the middle of a fire back on Cybertron. In both of their encounters, Hot Shot, though weighed down by his guilt, decides to confront his past head-on, knowing that it is his fault Wheeljack ended up like this. Then, during their second fight, Wheeljack pulls out his gun, points it at his former comrade and threatens to shoot him, just like he did earlier in the episode. To the fallen Autobot's astonishment however, Hot Shot doesn't panic or try to flee like he did all those years ago. Instead, Hot Shot walks forward, takes a hold of Wheeljack's weapon and calmly places it over his spark chamber. He then tells Wheeljack to stop messing around and invites him to just end it, right then and there, by giving him a free shot. This display of acceptance and bravery actually unsettles Wheeljack a bit, but before he can make up his mind on whether or not to shoot, Sideswipe interrupts them.

** Although definitely a tearjerker, the impact that Starscream's sacrifice has upon Galvatron cannot be overstated. Following his subordinate's death, Galvatron, who now knows full well that Unicron is real, just stares silently at the Star-Saber and reflects upon everything that Starscream did for him in life, as well as the ReasonYouSuckSpeech Starscream delivered moments before his death. Unlike most other versions of the character, the Armada Starscream started out genuinely loyal to both Megatron and the Decepticons, but his comrade's and leader's mistreatment of him eventually caused Starscream's loyalties to shift, albeit temporarily. Even though he later rejoined the Decepticons, Starscream remained troubled by his decision. Then, when he realised that the threat of Unicron was real, Starscream took a stand against the arrogant leader who refused to recognise the bigger threat looming over the Transformer species, knowing full well that he wasn't going to win or likely even survive the battle. Galvatron reflects upon all of this, before finally acknowledging just how badly he messed up and the price his follower paid for it. This rattles Galvatron so much that he not only silently offers the Star-Saber to Optimus, his arch-nemesis but later, honours Starscream's dying wish and forms an alliance with the Autobots against Unicron.

* The first time the Star Saber is formed in episode 13 "Swoop", Hot Shot is the first robot to wield it. Though a rookie, he promptly shows he is incredibly skilled at swordsmanship and ''lops off'' one of Megatron's helmet horns.
* After losing a battle in episode 23 "Rebellion", Megatron, once again, takes out his frustrations on Starscream, beating him to an inch of his life. Demolishor tries to intervene, but Megatron has locked the doors. With a little prodding from Sideways, Demolishor blows open the doors to put a stop to Megatron's abuse, with the latter calmly leaving the scene due to Demolishor's defiance.

* Optimus' [[BackFromTheDead return from the dead]] in episode 42 "Miracle". Even ''Megatron'' couldn’t help but respect him for it.
-->'''Megatron:''' (''laughs'') I never thought I’d say this… but it’s good to have you back, Prime.

** Armada had a lot of flaws, but 'Cramp' is one of the best episodes in the history of the franchise, and it all rests on Starscream's shoulders. He fires into the sky against a PLANET-SIZED GOD-TRANSFORMER THAT EATS PLANETS, screaming: 'YOU'RE ALL MINE, UNICRON!'. It's a brilliant moment for one of the best-crafted characters in Transformers history.

* Starscream's suicide-by-Galvatron in 48 is probably a crowning moment of TearJerker as well. In a last-ditch attempt to make him see the threat of Unicron he goes up against Galvatron and the powerful Star Saber with nothing but his own sword; standing up to him literally and metaphorically for the first time in the series. And then he lets Galvatron ''impale him just to make a point''.

** Even better, this a rare case where Transformers are resourceful instead of just blasting each other. Body parts are targeted such as tire treads to stop transformation, or jamming gun muzzles to make them backfire and break. On top of this, parts from their bodies and alt modes get ripped off and used as improvised weapons.
** Best of all, the final episodes of Armada, especially the finale, "Mortal Combat", get a superb AnimationBump, leading to a fully choreographed all-out duel.
